Christianity Etc › Re: The Mystery Of The Tower Of Babel by ifenes(m): 12:14pm On Jan 05, 2016
I personally believe the Tower of Babel was a Portal which the humans had seen the gods pass through into our dimension,so they got intelligent enough to build one, then the gods destroyed it and made sure humans are not that intelligent by creating religion, monarchs, priests etc

Very intresting, but do u believe in the existence of God and his son Jesus?
Just like Judas said,I will have to believe in other gods and goddesses too. Minoan Religion deity was a goddess and the people back then believed she created the world. Today it is Jesus and his father. You see it makes no sense for me to believe they existed.

You speak inspiration. What belief system do you subscribe to?
None,but I learned everything. I studied ancient religion in college. Islam,Christianity,Hindu,Canaanite Religion,Atenism,Minoan Religion,Mithraism(which is today's Christianity),Pagan Vikings,Manichaeism,Ashurism etc

As you can see I will obviously have more knowledge about religion than those who read just one.

Dunce, heaven is not in the physical plane, i.e not in our physical universe. Heaven is not above earth but in an entirely different dimension so it has absolutely nothing to do with extra terrestrials whom we assume are in our physical universe.
What are you saying?? Heaven to the ancient was visible, flying saucers made of gold. The ancient astronauts were physical,so were their heavens.

How can people struggle to get degrees only to line up for jobs? What about inter-personal skills? That is why the country is poor in regards to skills. Too much concentration on degree will cripple the country.

The OP wouldn't ask the question if the beings you call "god" are actually taking care of humans. There is no evidence any such beings care, especially with the likes of boko haram, wars and child poverty all over the planet. We are on our own. Those who pray to gods are not better off those who don't.

"God" is a race of beings who used humans to mine gold, nothing more. They don't care what happens to humans. However they have helped us become curious beings by adding their dna to ours. How we rule ourselves is up to us.

My nephew is 18 years of age and working. He is already an estate agent and doing fine. Perhaps the Nigerian mentality is holding youths back you should say. I know youths in Nigeria over rely on their parents for finance, accommodation etc. That's why their parent feel they ought to be responsible for their beliefs too. I left home early, bought my first car at 19,pretty normal to me.

Mistakes like telling their deeply religious parents that they are atheists and getting kicked out of their houses?

Can a 17 year old live on the streets in Nigeria?
In life your are responsible for your thoughts and actions. Youths should have their own thoughts because they are the future their parents will not witness. A civilized society will embrace freedom of thoughts for youth and not impose any belief on them. I lived on my own since I was 17,I see no reason why others youths can't.

Yeah, I get the point. But it just wont be my thing. Even though one can share similar interests on such a forum, finding like minded people, is like searching God. I have accepted a long way back that it is a mission impossible. Instead of atheistic activism I think the needs in this world call for another type of activism so I wanna devote my energy to that. I believe youth doesn't need advice, they need experience and they can only get that by fighting their own struggles and fights and getting to know their own self that way. Their whole life they have been bombed by advices from others (parents, school, society, etc). They got to get to the point they can advice themselves. You can only advice yourself when you know yourself. Who can better know you than you yourself? You only get to know yourself when you are put to the fire. If you are not willing to suffer for what you believe in, what you believe in is not worth it. Hooking up with people who confirm what you believe in/are interested in...gives the illusion of a warm bath...especially when the rest of your society is ridiculing what you think/believe..but it really wont offer anything that really shapes your personality...it somehow the same reason why some people go to church...to belong to something. To belong to yourself you must give up the wish to belong to something or someone. That is also where one can find the best answers in life...without distraction...

btw..the anti-atheist trolls/distractors here.. I find them often hilarious, they give me a good laugh, I wouldnt be able to invent such characters, what they type often makes me wonder..do these people really exist in real life. Life is often a comedy...

Christianity Etc › Re: Extract And Explanation Of The Book Of Enoch by ifenes(op): 5:12am On Dec 29, 2015
All of the gods were be biologically immortal but they may be vulnerable to a species that cannot be fully trusted. We have proven by our actions on this planet that we are a creature capable of despicable deeds (as well as incredibly selfless deeds). It seems though, from our political, economic, and other stances we are a despicable race… corrupt politically, unjust with wealth, abusers when it comes to sex with pedophile scandals, human trafficking etc. We destroy rain forests, take all the resources from the Earth, treat our poor, sick and elderly with contempt. Our shepherds rape and cover up the rape of children. We cannot be trusted with the keys of the universe, we’re too corrupt, so this experiment goes on until a time one day where perhaps we can be trusted, when we learn to control greed, hate, prejudice etc.

So, my conclusion is that the Gods are not against us having and using technology per se, but we have not yet proven that we are trustworthy enough to have unlimited power (which is available from a technological point of view). Azazel and Semjaza etc. came here and taught us about this stuff before we were ready, before the assigned time. That is what angered the gods
Christianity Etc › Extract And Explanation Of The Book Of Enoch by ifenes(op): 5:06am On Dec 29, 2015
The Book of Enoch speaks about the fallen angels Azazel, Semjaza and co. who came down to Earth (landed on Mt. Hermon). They took human wives and produced mighty offspring (the Nephilim). While they were carrying out this deed they taught humans about all sorts of technology, echoing the mythology of Osiris in Egypt and Quetzalcoatl in Meso America.

From Enoch 6

“And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon…”

…And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind…

And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all 2 colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, ‘Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqijal (taught) astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . . .

It is worth reading this a few times, it basically states that a team of knowledgeable beings (Scientists) descended to the Earth (the only place they could descent from is Outer Space) and taught man about their technology. But not only this, they directly had children with Human females, which caused havok with the Earth. The offspring consumed everything and were essentially completely out of balance with the natural balance of the Earth.

I think it is obvious that this is the true meaning behind eating from the tree of knowledge. These beings are the tree of knowledge quite literally the source of our knowledge in terms of our uplifting through genetic splicing with this species and also of course through their teaching us of their technology.

According to Enoch, the others of their kind, looked down from heaven (outer space, probably in orbit) and saw that the Earth was no longer the beautiful garden it had once been and the had no choice but to intervene to try and restore the balance.

“And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel(ETs) looked down from heaven and saw much blood being 2 shed upon the earth, and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth. And they said one to another: ‘The earth made without inhabitant cries the voice of their cryingst up to the gates of heavens(orbiting space crafts)…”

At this point the flood was sent to wipe out this genetic aberration(of that particular region), but the genetic stain returned afterwards and had to be wiped out manually via Joshua with the aid of technology (sound weapons).

A few chapters later in Genesis the Tower of Babel story speaks of the Gods confusing mankind through language because man wanted to reach the heavens and be like the gods. The Gods seem to fear the fact that humans may get cocky and believe ourselves to be gods.

From Genesis 11:5

“But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

The only reason the Gods would stop the city being built is because a) they fear the power we may some day have b) they are concerned that we will cause havok on other worlds and our species needs to be quarantined.

From the text above we see that the good angels, Michael, Gabriel and co., heard the please of mankind and intervened to wipe out the beasts known as the Nephilim. This makes sense, to try and restore the balance of nature on Earth, as alien DNA had been added to our species (the genetic Stain of original sin or fornication between species). An act of mercy when the natural species on Earth cried out for justice. The technology did not seem to be important at this point.

The tower of babel is different, it speaks of humans trying to conquer the Earth through technology and the gods purposefully confusing us and setting country against country through separation. It is a classic Machiavellian divide and conquer approach, but why would our watchers do this?
