Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is That Hell Is Much More Talked About In African Countries? by ifenes(m): 4:23pm On Dec 16, 2015 |
Tufanja: I dare to disagree:
1. there are church programs on national TV in Europe (just limited broadcast time, minorities have directly proportional broadcast time on national TV, christian/muslim/buddhist broadcasting etc) 2. there is freedom of speech, which counts as much for those mentioning hell fire as those mentioning the opposite 3. you can't get sacked just on the ground you mentioned, its depends very much on the circumstances and the specific context. For instance, as a nurse you might find a patient who wants to pray with you, and if there is time for that and it wont derail your direct general duties, you are definitely allowed to do so if you want 4. a society is not much better because of religion/lack of religion, as you say you are based in the UK you may get some glasses and start looking around at the social problems around you...extreme high rate of teen pregnancies and single mothers despite of full availability of abortion and anticonceptiva, huge problems with alcohol and drugs abuse among the youth despite of laws forbidding teenagers to drink or buy alcoholics, serious spread of STD's despite of free condoms in every toilet, serious levels of domestic violence despite of stricts laws, high number of rapes (while still underreported), suicide rates are impressive despite of availability of professional and often free psychological help, school drop out rates are serious too while good access to high quality education for anyone...and there is a lot of hidden problems and sadness you only see when you work at the backside of the success of a society...because the problems here are more hidden...behind the like-generation there is a society that is absolute as lost as those who are shouting Jesus hell and fire...maybe even more lost. Kindly give me examples of such National TV channels? |

So the purpose is to bring this two broad ideas together to see how they reason together from their worldview... please this thread is not for the GOD Theist so please lets just watch them present their reason to convince themselves or otherwise.

Onyiibazz: Continous Loop of The Jesus and Satan Character This is what is going to happen after christians and all the religions that believe in heaven and hellfire would have gone to heaven or hellfire as the case may be. There will arise some other set of people that will rise to challenge God, this men will plan to bring carnality into heaven. This is how it is going to happen. After so many years of only singing praises and worship in heaven with some discordant harp notes, these men will get bored with the routine and start remembering the various social activities they engaged themselves in while on earth. They will start visualizing the great sex they've had in time past while on earth and the clubbing, partying and even drinks they've had before. Remember that the bible clearly stated that there will be no form of marriage in heaven, so there wont be legal sex. When these people become unable to bear the antisocial lifestyle anymore, they will start thinking of how to introduce alcohol, parties, clubs, churches, cars and even sex. God would obviously get angry by this and try to caution them but they would not listen hence he would cast them away from heaven maybe to Mars or Jupiter this time around to form their kingdom there. After sometime, God would send another Jesus to go redeem them and the loop continues indefinitely! Who else agrees with me on this? Or am I alone? #ThinkingAloud. |

Michealquad: •As one goes to lower planes of existence of Hell, as the subtle basic Sattva component progressively reduces the environment becomes less conducive to the experience of happiness.
• Within the planes of existence of Hell, there are some ghosts who do certain types of spiritual practice to gain spiritual power. The highest in the hierarchy of ghosts are sorcerers from the seventh plane of existence of Hell. They have immense spiritual power almost equivalent to a Saint at the 90% spiritual level. They control all the other types of ghosts with lesser spiritual power.
• As one goes deeper into the various planes of existence of Hell, i.e. from 1st to 7th, the extent of happiness experienced by the subtle bodies therein goes on decreasing and the extent of unhappiness goes on multiplying. The minimal experience of happiness is also due to being engrossed in memories of past positive events, pleasant memories of wealth in a past life, etc. The experience of unhappiness is due to memories of physical pain and insulting events, memories of unfulfilled desires, e.g. regarding education, house, career, expectation of happiness from children in past life.
• The extent of punishment/pain to be endured in the various planes of existence of Hell and their associated Narak goes on increasing with the subsequent plane of existence of Hell. Also, the period of punishment to be endured in each Narak is in excess compared to the corresponding plane of existence of Hell. If we consider the punishment in first plane of existence of Hell as 100%, then the punishment in the corresponding first Narak region is 50% more, i.e. 150%.
The following table is a description of examples along with the average intensity of happiness and unhappiness we experience in the various planes of existence of Hell. I do not really think you are a christian though. You have been thinking and searching for answers in other religion . There are no answers in Christianity just rules. What is obvious to me is christian values were borrowed from other existing religion just like you are doing. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Life After Death – What Happens After We Die? by ifenes(m): 10:43am On Dec 15, 2015 |
Michealquad: Sub planes of existence of Hell (Narak): Every plane of existence of Hell has a sub-plane known as Narak. For example, the first plane of existence of Hell will have within it a sub-plane that is known as the first Narak. Narak is reserved for the worst ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) in Hell. The ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) occupying the first Narak face more severe punishment and for a longer duration than those occupying the first plane of existence of Hell.
[s]The diagram below shows the 14 planes of existence in the Universe.[/s] Hell fire is not a plane or place. However some people can create an illusion of it for themselves, but then they will realize it is as a result of negative teaching and thoughts. This illustration was given to the ancient/primitive Indians. Just like the ancient Jews, due to their wild nature to act nicely. At this point of our human development we do not need these form of teaching anymore. I think it causes fear. |

Michealquad: The 14 planes of existence in the Universe
There are 14 main planes of existence in the Universe. Seven of them are positive planes of existence and seven are negative planes of existence. The seven negative planes of existence are commonly known as Hell (Pātāl). There are numerous sub-planes within these main planes of existence.
Righteousness (Dharma) is that which accomplishes the 3 tasks of: Keeping the social system in excellent condition Bringing about the worldly progress of every living being Causing progress in the spiritual realm as well. – Shri Adi Shankaracharya
Seven positive planes of existence: The planes of existence occupied mostly by living persons and subtle bodies doing righteous deeds and engaged in spiritual practice according to the positive path of spiritual practice are known as the seven positive planes of existence or saptalok. By positive path, we mean the orientation of spiritual practice is towards God-realisation, which is the ultimate in spiritual growth.
The Earth plane is the only physical plane of existence in the Universe and is also the first plane of existence in the hierarchy of the positive planes of existence in the Universe.
Seven Negative planes of existence: These are planes of existence occupied mostly by subtle bodies that have done unrighteous deeds and are engaged in spiritual practice according to the negative path. By negative path, we mean the orientation of spiritual practice is towards attaining spiritual power, e.g. supernatural powers. This spiritual power is primarily used to enhance one’s control over others or for negative purposes. Thus all subtle bodies that go to any one of the planes of existence of Hell, by virtue of their evil intentions become ghosts. All good and well....everyone is a God at the end of the day. Negative and Positive are important to keep balance. Spiritual practices or no spiritual practices, the Soul remains what it is. Negative and Positive experiences are illusion of the mind. Its like playing a role of a bad guy in a movie, which doesn't make you bad in reality. It is only an experience. |

Michealquad: What happens after death?
Spiritual research has shown that man is comprised of the following four basic bodies:
Physical Mental Causal or intellectual Supracausal or subtle ego The picture below is a diagrammatic representation of what a human being is comprised of. Physical and non-physical. Apart from the physical you mentioned I think the remaining 3 can be merged into one. Is that not what you call a Soul? And the only reason I am separating it from the Physical is because it is an energy of high vibration.-meaning, it spins at a high frequency and cannot be seen by a much slower object. And Intellect,Ego etc are usually attributes a soul does exhibit based on prefence. When a person dies the physical body ceases to exist. However, the rest of his existence or consciousness continues. The existence of the person minus the physical body is known as the subtle body (linga-dēha) and it comprises of the mental, causal (intellect) and supracausal (subtle ego) bodies. This subtle body then goes to one of the 13 subtle planes of existence other than the Earth plane. when a person dies he/she might not immediately know they are dead, and he/she might continue trying to live his/her life for a bit without realizing what has happened (explaining ghosts). It person is always in control until he/she realizes he has shed his physical body. And the planes of existence is unlimited and it is absurd to name just 13! |
