That Afolayan dude just moved to the Oniru or maybe got his crib via sublet. Most landlords inform you before payment,even when you want to buy a virgin land within the island,they tell you if there is oro or sort involved in the vicinity.

Afolabs101: Residents/landlords were not told about this before a week ago. I believe this is even the first time they have restricted movement because of Oro (correct me if I'm wrong). But no one is going to their house to tell them not to celebrate but then they are coming to us and forcing us to stay indoors, windows locked, curtains closed, no lights, no gens etc for a week.

I just don't agree with the fact that you are restricting movement, when we have a constitution and laws. The Oniru family sold most of the land in the estate, these lands are owned (through lease hold of 99 years) by individuals and rented by individuals. So on what authority is the family restricting movement??

Any body renting an accomodation in the Island,I'm sure the agents/landlord would inform him or her before hand if they observe Oro within the vicinity. Ikate,Ajiran and some places observe theirs every ten days.

You cannot come to someone's house and ask him to stop his culture or religious inclinations. If it doesnt suit you,simply don't go there or park out.
