Felis,I don't agree that submitting to your husband makes you subject to his decisions or places you under him.well, unless you as a woman made a wrong decision and married an a*hole. Submitting to your husband makes you a consultant and stakeholder for every decision to be made and places you just beside your husband.A good husband is just like a captain while wife is ship.both needs each other 50/50 to function. Gotta do school runs, would be back to comment on the topic. |
Since seex and tattoo are very important to you, why did you marry someone without any tattoo? |
How old is your wife ? If its another "catch-them-young" marriage then I'm afraid but you have to eat/sleep "patience".from the story so far, I suspect your wife is still a "baby" herself and not ready for marriage yet. You're in already so you have to be patient with her and baby her to a full woman. |
You millionaires never get tired of telling us about your millions. Please can you guys extend a helping hand to the numerous applicants on the jobs section?I've bookmarked your usernames and will buzz y'all whenever we have a nlder in need. As you share your stories on here, it won't be bad to help a soul here too. |

dridowu: Cant say 4 precise salary but If transport alone takes 60-70%, dn i believe d job doesn't what itis your certificate "worth" 30K? @topic, when you visit the vacancies section and other job sites, you'll appreciate whatever you are earning now. There are NO jobs people! I pity the average Nigerian graduate with no contacts, grace/hand of God, excellent grades and street wise. (born hustler) Old sojas never die. |
Mobede junction is notorious for robbery. Ngige made sure there were always armed to the teeth Mopol on patrol there. If the police "mean" to fish out the culprits, they will and can. |
I think your advice is in order @OP but if your friend insists on going for masters, there's nothing you can do to stop him. |

I think solbil is mistaking "studying" for a course/exam for reading. @topic, to some extent, the advent of the internet contributed to the demise of "reading". Before, one could just pick an old newspaper from the dads room and read, try out the crosswords for fun till it gradually becomes a habit but today how many people still buy daillies when you can read directly online? You have e-books and what have you now so people can download and read online and fbk, tweet, nld at same time. Lol |
maclatunji: I got it now. My point is if he had truly loved the woman, he would have loved her child irrespective of its looks. He never loved the woman, he was only in love with her beauty.true to some extent. Love comes with certain expectations. To some its brains to others b00bs. If he made the woman understand that the major reason he's marrying her is because of her beauty and expectation of extremely beautiful babies then the woman honestly should have told him the "source" of her beauty. The whole thing is funny . And a child stand to be ridiculed because of 2 adults that couldn't get their acts together. |
Macl I think the problem is not the woman per say but the child. The man married her cos of her beauty and expected their child to tow her line via inheriting her genes. (Un)fortunately, artifical beauty aint skin deep so the child took after the mom, pre-plastic surgery and the man can't live with it. Some men(and women)can be obsessed by outward beauty.a guy can be so obsessed with gap teeth women, marry one primarily cos of that with the expectation that atleast some of the kids will inherit that. At the end of the day, all kids come get trapezium teeth and on probing the wife, she confesses that her gap tooth was sandpapered by one aboki down the street hence she couldn't transfer to the kids. Lol |
Me'siere my people. I watched the movie "uya" last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thumbs up to. Nse. Please can anyone recommend more lovely Ibibio/Efik movies for me. |

There are certain things you should never tell a man.some truths need to be told diplomatically. If you have skeletons in your cupboard its always best to give a "hint" early in the relationship But that should be after you've studied your partner and come out convinced that s/he is worth telling.be brief, exclude details as much as possible. Example : when asked of your uni days and you've been a player, an answer like "I'm not a saint, I was young and did things that I'm not proud of ignorantly. I dated the wrong men for the wrong reasons then but in all, I thank God I'm now wiser". A good man would understand and either stay or leave. Be honest but be mindful of some "truths" that hurt more than lies. Wisdom! |
Talk with them individually with love and respect. And if that does not work, leave them. . . So long as they don't get physical on themselves, they'll sort themselves out. |
Terseer: Your candid advice is needed by a friend on how to relate with an elder sibling who wants to use him by all means for sacrificehow so ![]() Sometimes people allow their insecurities and envy becloud their sense of reasoning. Your friend might be one of such people. . . |
Ok,got it now! @OP, since the young lady is gainfully employed why don't she just get her own place?the woman might be seeing her as a threat to her son. And please,OP, don't call that woman heartless just because of this incident, if she really were, the lady would not have been in that house up till now. Btw, from your account, the lady is not adopted. They're just the foster parents. There's a huge difference. |
I really didn't get the gist :-/ |
@Afam, are you talking about offline or online unity ? Our igbo and Yoruba senators, governors, ministers are very much united in looting our collective funds, mind you. Seems this division and fight mode is only existing "online", IMO. |
Should we be bothered about when they "opened" the bridge The issue remains, did they actually do any work for the times the bridge was locked? Who have used the bridge today, is the job worth celebrating?can we get a before and after detailed analysis of the bridge structure and outlook? |
When would the "old die and young grow" in this country? Recycling of same set of people. Nothing is new. Graduates are unemployed. Most recruiters are looking for a candidate with "4 years" experience. How would a promising, fresh graduate get that? Our ministers and legislators are high school drop outs but ofcourse all possess 10 or more years "experience" in looting, politricking and money laundering. God bless Nigeria. |
