Culture › Re: Anioma Is An Ethnic Group - Emeka Esogbue by ifyalways(f): 11:51am On Nov 06, 2012
afam4eva: I know we've discussed on numerous cases the ethnic identity crises in some parts of Anioma. We know that Ika areas have an identity crises. I was shocked when i was told by Emeka Esogbue that Anioma is an ethnic group and not part of the Igbo ethnic group. This guy has single handedly created an ethnic group by himself and it seems some Anioma people are buying into it. I know that majority of Asaba, Ibusa and it's enviorons are proud Igbos but it shook me when Emeka, an Ibusa Indegene told me that Anioma is an ethnic group. I want to employ Anioma people especially
those from the Asaba and Ibusa axis to let their voices heard in order to checkmate Emeka Esogbue because
it seems his followers are increasing by the day. We don't want Anioma to go the way of Ikwerre.
Who are the we,Afam undecided
what would the "we " do if indeed all Anioma people choose to be known as Anioma ethnic group ?

#just asking#

you, my friend would have a problem if you "believe" everything folks say. . . and that includes "this very post of mine" lol

There are stereotypes and myths attached to every city. You'll be a foool to take a 'part' for a 'whole' and vice versa.

?topic, why did the pastor monarch ascend the throne when he obviously knew his people were suckers for their tradition? Greed?he wants to "eat" with both hands?

He's lucky he came out alive. And should do the right thing by giving up one of the roles ASAP.
Culture › Re: It's Well by ifyalways(f): 10:29am On Nov 06, 2012
Definitely not part of African culture. African culture expects here to be in mourning mood, wail whenever anyone pays a condolence visit and reply "I'm lost/ dead" for every word of comfort/soul lifting she gets. Why?! She is a woman. Women can't get a grip of their emotions and should not outgrow their sorrows.

The "it is well" phrase is a fad that originated from the church. . . I daresay, a good one. What's the point moaning, soaking in self pity and wallowing in depression when something unpleasant/unplanned for befalls you?saying "it is well" is healing. To the soul and body. Repeating it consistently gives you an inner hope. There's strength in staying positive.

It is well. O digo nma already for Ify.

Crime › Re: Police Lists Hot Spots For Ritual Killers by ifyalways(f): 11:57pm On Nov 05, 2012
berem: They failed to mention Lasu-Iba road especially Obadore Bridge and Village axis.

This sure reminds me of a ritual killing that happened at village bus stop immediately after Lasu along Lasu-iba road.last year when I was going home from work,I was in a public bus at about 10.15pm,passengers in the bus including me saw a motorcycle lying by the side of the road.the driver slowed down and lo and behold we saw a hefty man without shirt dragging the owner of the bike inside the bush.we couldn't do anything cos no one was armed.meanwhile there were some s.tupid policemen on that road collecting 40naira from each bus drivers as the stopped.when we reached the first road block which was far from where the incident was happening,we were telling the s.tupid policemen that a ritual killing is happening.we told them the particular location.Guess what the edioots said to us? "Una dey craze! Why una no go catch the ritualist by una self? Shey make we leave this money wey we dey collect go kill them abi? Oya make I give una gun to go kill them.abeg waka pass joor" we were all shocked!! At the end,we all knew the biker guy eventually died.

So what's the assurance that the police is really serious to fish out the ritualists?? Why can't the police track the ritualists at these mentioned places?
a loaded bus, I'm guessing danfo couldn't do nothing to A man undecided

The driver of the bus couldn't attempt to pretend he wants to hit the man?like ram into him?just to scare him?

What's the difference between this and the Aluu onlookers and video recorders?we give up, move on without a try. . . so easily. Sadly.
