@OP, who even sent you to post their pictures online when they are not missing or kidnapped ?
Family › Re: She Escaped With His 3 Kids by ifyalways(f): 1:31pm On Nov 03, 2012
@guitar, police station? For a "family matter" in Naija?all she'll get is "go home and settle with your husband"

@topic,looking @ this thread and the info provided by the OP, pbviously,
The man knows where the wife is.
What is stopping this man from engaging elders in both families to sort this out?why resort to use police(who most likely would use force and intimidation to get the wife home)
Could it be that the woman(and kids) lives were in danger, she left and told the man where to find her if he's ready to come for re-negotiations?

Truth is, if this woman wanted to "abscond" as you put it, the man wouldn't know where she's gone to. She escaped. . . From what she "felt" as highly dangerous to her. Wether that "feeling" is unfounded or not, none of us can tell but we can't blame her either.

I think you need to first, "forgive" him.

Meeting him would be a good idea, but for what purpose?ok, you really can't prosecute him for a crime that happened 10 or more years ago. Meet him, tell him you remember what happened X years ago, how you've lived with the memory and most importantly, ask him why he did it. Make it an open, peaceful discussion. You might end up convincing him to seek help. . . If it happens that he is a closet paedophile.

Theories!

I don't know about others but certainly "zeluwa" means an entirely different thing in Igbo and have no correlation to your theory.

However,"Osebuwa" which is a shortened form of 'olisabuwa' might fit in. Even at that, the use of 'Olisa' for Chi in Igboland is limited to Anambra, delta. Never seen an Imo, abia etc indigene using the olisa word.

Back to your theory, huh

Culture › Re: Are Black Women Realy Always Angry? by ifyalways(f): 11:47am On Nov 03, 2012
I don't know where this nonsense about only african american males paint and portray black women as angry and sassy is coming from....

Are you viewing the same nairaland I am where nigerian males are roasting and painting nigerian women as classless evil gold digging angry wh0res constantly in the romance section?.....

I think much of the disconnect you have with these black americans you speak so fondly of is because

America has much stricter laws to protect women and allow them progressive advancement and a "voice" which is allowed to talk back....

Where as your country Nigeria..can allow men multiple wives and an occasional stoning for a cheating wife every now and then.....

Try trading places and dealing with American Black women cursing you out while having the law on their side just in case altercation ensues.

Its a win/win situation for the female party when such a moment takes places

Either achievement of ultimate emasculation takes place or she could win a civil And criminal suit if she is struck during a fight.........regardless of her instigation

I tell you what..give your laws that treat women like sub human garbage....and you take my laws that demonize you and emasculate you as a male figure.......

I wonder how long you would last before you ended up in a jail cell for domestic violence.....

I am sorry but I cant take guys who live in a country where half the country is under sharia law and the other half is stuck In the stone age when it comes to the handeling of women.

99 percent of nigerian males homeland savage behavior towards women would result in incarceration in America.

I am however finding your anti black american male post quite humorous.

Very Enjoyable
err, our laws might not be perfect(none is perfect anyways) but it will be a real shame if you formed your opinions(about us) based on what you hear/read here.

@topic, its gradually fading out. It thrived cos of the myth that it made women less promiscus.

Besides, the house of assembly is working on putting a law that would punish parents/guardians/midwives that would engage or consent to having a girl child circumcised.

8K with just accomodation? No feeding? And a "full time" 6 or even maybe 7 days a week job?

That's modern day slavery. Atleast 13K with accomodation.

When you want to employ anyone for any service, no matter how "useless, unimportant, not-too-stressful, very easy" the job might look like, you are employing because YOU CAN'T DO IT. Its only but fair to pay a reasonable wage.

Ofcourse, someone might take the job but don't complain if s/he do it half heartedly or dupe you.

I don't know about accomodation but check the landmark schools, ikorodu.

http://www.landmark-college.com/

If you get a good offer without an accomodation, another option is to look for a teacher you can squat with.

All the best.
