MrCrackles:
I remember last year when i was in Nigeria. . . I spent some time with my nephews

We were all gisting in front of the telly, and had him playing with the remote

The dude mustav planned to prove something to us all as well as send some information across on the day

So roll on, NTA news weatherman, came around and predicted "IT IS GOING TO RAIN TOMORROW"

The lil boy just shouted, "IT IS A LIE" shocked shocked shocked grin

We asked him "what is a lie?"

His response - "they said it was going to rain to days ago, it didnt, they said it yesterday, it didnt - So they must be liars. . . . grin

We all laughed!

ONE LESSON - Never predict what only God is capable of making happen!
rofl
Maybe it did not rain in ur part/side of Abeokuta  cheesy
BTW,its not only the traditional rainmakers, what abt preachers that claim to hold the rain druing crusades and seminars and "agents of devil" that claim to "send down the rain" to disrupt christain activites ?
Culture › Re: Rain Making And Prevention In Igbo Land by ifyalways(f): 12:29pm On Jul 30, 2009
Omo,i no fit shout. grin
D thing dey my mama place, they are rainmakers.lol
The fact is in as much as it looks superstitious, one fact that cant be ignored is that the rainmakers read the weather and keep records of changes and seasons, reason some of them are successful and are accurate with their predictions.

People dont change Over-night esp adults.
In the stories,it was clear that the MILS never liked the ladies or never had a good relationship with them and the guys were too attached to the mothers, the ladies had a choice,to either mend the wall or walk. Its their choice, they wud have to endure it,pray the MIL changes or  lipsrsealed
Ladies shld sort out MIL issues before marriage esp when the guy is "really" attached to the mother.I have a wonderful MIL by the way.  kiss

@Dani,i dont agree "Wale" is the strongest contestant. He lacks a sportsman spirit,he feels hes superior,so full of himself, always at loggerheads with everyone.lol

Alternative system:
Get a shop/warehouse in 9ja and put someone u trust there, send down your goods and sell @ cash to wholesalers. You can contact boutique owners and inform them of ur shop/wholesale where u wud be organising a sort of "sales".cash and carry.
OR
advertise your wares online, anyone intrested, send down to 9ja to ur contact, buyer goes with cash and pick up.

@Topic,woman shld do away with househelps.let the husband take care of the children and home,if hes not comfortable,he shld dust his ass and go get a job.

Brings me back to my first question, wud u do better when made a mod undecided
Nairaland General › Re: Moderators Out For Vengeance (The Ego Boost) by ifyalways(f): 10:05am On Jul 28, 2009
rofl.i have got a question:
Do you think you wud do better yourself,if made a mod?
I remember when it was Seun alone, everyone was asking for mods, now the mods are here, the story have not at all changed.Mods are forumites too, they have their own bad days like us all and they get bashed front and back so . . . .see them as mere members bash them when they bash u.lol it works for me  cheesy
@Rebarobyn,Mods are leaders?lol
leaders of who and who?see thats the problem,we expect too much from them.abeg, they have no special priviledges, there are mere members like u and me.They cuss u,u cuss them back.If u think a Mod banned u(which is totally Impossible) u can always contact Seun.IMO
The most mods can do is to delete ur posts esp when u bash them.lol
Mukina2 is a super Mod,she might be the only one with special powers.lol
