brogxy: na wa for them sha. Uber only sent a warning mail to me when I rejected a trip but wasn't blocked. I wished I could see the rider at that moment. Is it by force to go to your destination? Imagine being in a no boost zone and yet your destination is also a no boost zone. What's paining me is that me self don't even reject card trip, I reject destinations because of safety and road condition, since they don't compensate me for road damages, I also reject long pick up location, because my fuel economy sucks. I know the useless rider that did that, buh let me be watching them and doing my Uber jejely |

Tgiirl: They meant to say accepted excess numbers of card trips.. Cos Taxify don't like crediting bank accs There's no pleasing them, I hardly ve minus in my account coz of the too many card trips I do. Suspending me for rejecting card is the worst excuse they can come up, because I anytime I go to pick up a rider and I hear them complain how the last driver rejected there trip because it was a card trip, I do wonder why drivers do that coz I like card trip, after the trip you won't be hearing ah bros I don't have 100 naira to complete ur money. |

There's no week I don't get paid by Taxify, over card trips I have done, now am suspended for rejecting card trip, which is a fuxking lie told by a rider, Taxify without making there findings decided to block me, here is the money am to be paid next week, I can upload more from my past week work, I ve never rejected card trip, I prefer card trip than cash self. They should not allow me to say what I don't want to say

chucsmoore: Taxify rocks! 2 trips of 11800 + 8100 = N21,900 I saw u at fola osibo, lekki phase1 some time last week, you came to pick a rider, at same location as me, I was inside my EOD observing you, ur iphone just confirmed it was you. Also how do you manage with ur iphone, my own gets hot anytime I put on my Uber app, then gets really hot if the both app are on the same time, till it goes off, then I will have to wait for it to cool down before it will come up again, because of that I hardly use it for the job, buh am always with it coz it gives me prestige, some riders that think they are beta than you bcoz dey requested for a ride, they quickly change there attitude immediately they enter my car. packaging matas |

bluehorizo: This is a loonnngg read but reality to our everyday experience on Uber/Taxify. Pls enjoy as you read along.
Once upon a time there was a young woman who believed in fairy tales named Alice. She had read a whopper of a tale, something about how the average Uber driver in NYC makes $90,000 per year, and how easy and fun it was to make “great money” during her free time. She doesn’t live in NYC, but her city is pretty big and there are a lot of college students who don’t own cars there. She decided to try it out.
Down the rabbit hole
Alice’s vehicle was 18 years old and did not qualify for Uber, so she decided to buy a ‘more recent’ vehicle. But Alice is no dummy, she knew that if she went to a used car dealership that they would talk her into some piece of overpriced junk. So instead she went to a new car dealership with the intention of buying a used car. After all, a new car dealership is more honest, right?
The salesman was a really nice guy, who had a terrific handshake and nodded his head a lot. It appeared that he really cared for her and wanted to do everything in his power to make her happy. Not at all what she expected from a car salesman! When she told him that she was buying the car to do Uber, he got real excited. He said he was thinking about doing it himself, what a fantastic way to make some extra money! He told her that if she wanted to do it right she should get a new vehicle, it would come with a warranty, and that it would (obviously) be free from any hidden mechanical defects that used cars sometimes have, and that he could get the payments down to under $350 per month for her because her credit is so outstanding.
Alice figures that with a new car, customers were likely to be more impressed, and with the extra tips that she would get she would pay it off in no time. She hasn’t ever tipped a driver herself, but is positive that everyone else on the planet does, so she should be fine!
Alice bought a new car. She was ready for her great Uber adventure!
The Walrus and the Carpenter
On her first day out Alice asked herself, Where should I go to make the most money? The first thought that popped into her head was the airport. After all, there are planes landing all the time, and when you get a ride it is always a big one, right?
Alice had been told by most of her past Uber drivers that the airport is a horrible place to go. But Alice is human, and humans have to find out for themselves that the stove really is hot even though mommy and daddy said don’t touch. Alice promptly drove to the airport holding lot, then turned on her app. And waited.
COPIED Complete the story na, Alice joined Lyft and is more happier. Lyft at the state is like Taxify, just beta app, buh take 15% commission. |

B4 I even urinate dis towing guys just speed towards me, I quickly entered my car n thank God for James Bond n Jason statham movies, I speedily reverse. They followed me n one of dem said I should wait, they just want to tell me in case of next time.i put gear for drive n race as if I want to clear the guy, he run comot... After I drove off I gave them middle finger.hungry looking men want to chop my money for that scorching sun yesterday...Lol Nice one bro, if it was me because of how angry I am now, I will make sure I jam one when escaping, no careless billings. We ve to be very very careful this days. I don't know why Nigeria has to be this difficult in all angle, what's there in telling people not to park there, instead they will be waiting for who will fall prey so they can smile. |

toomush: Making sense earnings, I don't know how you guys do it.
My earnings today
Newbie tho You probably did not go tru the thread very well, anyway let me answer ur question. 1. Pray hard before you leave ur house and starting of trips
1.1 Start early: 4:30am get up and set destination.
2. Positioning: Example you can't stay inside mushin and expect island trip, you will get Festac and Ago. Ask Gentle will explain beta
3. Trip Chasing: You must ve heard us talking about about surge, yes chase it, one thing with surge is that even if it's gone when you got there, just hang around you must get trip, because some smart ass riders, won't request till the surge is over. One rider told me he has been requesting for the past two hours and canceling because he doesn't want surge trip, stingy guy doesn't want drivers to smile. On that note chase wisely some are not worth it.
4: Pepe and Salt: ask the taxiappguy about it joking please don't come for me
5. Make friends: always try to keep in contact with some nice riders, I have this lady I take to her office every morning at V.i
6. Stanley this space is for you
7. Romeo
8. Chuck
9.Gentle
9.1 Tgirl
10. Always keep contact with ur follow drivers, they will teach you there own tweaks they use, we learn everyday, that's why some of us are here everyday.
That said, some days are so bad you will probably prefer not coming out that day than come out and not get trips, or get useless trip
Would ve added Gazzuzz buh he doesn't river anymore , I remember when he told us he made, 7k from 7pm to 11pm, that made me seat up

Megadrop: Bros, most times the surge na scam and mirage. Atimes, they intentionally create the surge themselves not as a result of high demand. Areas you are very sure of real surge is V.I and environs at the close of work or mainland weekends. How can Abule ijesha be surging 24hrs of the day even when you know the area very well and you are positioned there yet you will see nothing. I no longer chase surge, dey ve dealt with me, imagine getting to a surging area, the tomato will disappear |

Gentlelife50: The riders are just like their master, very annoying. Sorry jare. Let's conclude I had a bad day, after the said trip, I blow empty to yaba for trip, I got a trip at Abule ijesha, trip entered I did not ask destination, rider entered my car n said unilag, Me: unilag asing unilag here Nawa. 400 trip I had to drive about 20km to get trip and I got 4km trip, okay was still calming my self down, waited at unilag for like 50min before another trip entered. Again I did not ask destination got to pick up, started trip it was oshodi, was weak now, anyway to cut the story short, ended trip it was 1400, I showed rider she gave me 1500 she wanted to get her change, I said madam you know there was an error right? At least you ve been taking this trip and am very sure it can't be 1400 you ve been getting on it, after 85min journey, she got angry and didn't say anything and left, I did a trip review even tho I know Taxify cash trip review na waste of time for drivers, the trip is still on review till now, rider has gone n even rated poorly coz I cautioned her about the failed GPS. Now was tired and frustrated decided to go home, was trying to navigate my self out of oshodi those there inner roads, used google map, traffic everywhere, Google map ended up showing a road I can use to come out of airport road, was on it, until i saw a big sign board that the road was closed, chai see wahala, to cut the story short I went home finally tomorrow I ve to start early to recoup my losses. Cheers |
