Travel / Re: Passengers Weep As Aero Aircraft Struggle To Land For Hours by igbogolo: 1:15am On May 06, 2010
I think the aircraft was faulty. Why hover for hours when u can simply go back to abuja or to any other alternative airport?
it easy to blame weather all the time even the plane is faulty.
i remember one trip on aero when 15 minutes to lagos i noticed black liquid spilling on the windows. this continued for sometime and then suddenly it increased at which time the entire engine casing was covered. I called the air hostess and pointed to what i was looking at. I thought this had better not be hydraulic fluid cos if it were then we are finished. the plane made a smooth landing in lagos and i stayed back and called another hostess again and told her what happened. i wanted to speak with the pilot but decided against it as i was satisfied i had made the drawn enough attention to the leak.

For canada, please visit

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

everything u need to know about immigrating to canada is there.
Travel / Re: I Want Enter Botswana by igbogolo: 6:21pm On Apr 29, 2010
Mr Regmore

Botswana is visa free to canada for short trips. but if u want to stay longer in canada then u will need a visa.
may i remind you that immigration laws have changed in almost every developed country and that you will never be able to change your visa status if u are a visitor.
instead of going through this rough and dangerous road, why dont u simply apply to immigrate? as a chemical engineer, your skills are welcome in canada. go to their website and avail yourself of free information that is there!

Even with a bostwana passport, you will still need a valid visa to live and work in canada and i can assure you that its not easy to get bostwana passport for that matter. please let desperation not drive you into a journey filled with regrets and anguish

LAJ2K

the topic of your post is AUSSIE TO HUSTLE and not AUSSIE FOR TOURISM or AUSSIE FOR CONFERENCE

so someone going for a legitimate reason would not come here to say he is going to 'hussle'. get it?

Goodluck with whatever you decide to do. you obviously do not need my input in this matter.
Travel / Re: Aussie To Hustle by igbogolo: 10:01pm On Apr 24, 2010
and why would u go through all that trouble just to 'tour' australia? LOL!!!

baffles me silly!
Travel / Re: Aussie To Hustle by igbogolo: 9:58pm On Apr 24, 2010
Mr Laj2k

you wrote that you are going there in june. for you to write that means that you already have ur visa. but from your last response, i doubt if you have a visa.

You can NEVER change your status with a visit visa to australia. so forget about seeking asylum when you get there. IT WILL NEVER WORK!

GET IT? U WILL NOT SUCEED.

So , i will advise you to sit your butt down and look for something more profitable to do with your money in nigeria. what would it gain you to burn scarce funds, travel non stop for almost a day, get to australia, go to jail and be deported back shackled?

people that were able to beat the system obviously abused it when the aussies were a bit trusting. not now my friend. without a solid reason, you might not even be allowed through the airport.

A trial will convince you!

That country is sitting on a bomb.
I dont see them moving very far with this attitude.
the division in the country is almost visible with whites hating blacks
That hatred manifested as xenophobia where backward blacks wielded the most barbaric hiv infested hands and brains to inflict untold damage on unsuspecting citizens of other countries.
that country still needs Jesus!
This time, no nigerian woman will donate their wrapper like my grandmother did in the seventies
neither will our government send teachers, food and relief materials

useless ungrateful south africa

Mr Dede 1

Really? So when a state now has different courts and different police that report only to the emir, is that freedom of religion? Was it not someone from the north that issued a 'fatwa' on a misunderstood journalist during the botched miss world contest?
Does out constitution recognize sharia courts and fatwa? what religion endorses the open assassination call for a journalist and yet you come here to justify freedom of religion! The poor girl fled the country and is now seeking asylum somewhere else. so what happened to her freedom of association as guaranteed by the constitution that this sharia is violating? Please answer me. A country does not run two laws at the same time because we are not an islamic country!!!!!!

Can you imagine a christian vying for the governorship of Kano not to talk of a council?
I lived in the north you know and what happens there is nothing like freedom of anything.

^^^^^

Nigerians big only for mouth.

MOUTH MOUTH!! simple election whoosai! common education whoosai! roads nko whoosai! electricity and security whoosai!! terrorism and armed banditry everywhere. families and economy running on imported generators. a country that imports refined petroleum products. Shame!
Army? of what use is the army to ghana? are they fighting wars? so what if our army is bigger than theirs? when did numbers equate to strength when it comes go military superiority? LOL!

Make una stay there use mouth bad mouth Ghana, a country that is moving in leaps and bounds and have refused to be dragged down by corruption. we now send our wives and kids to ghana to school where they pay in foreign currency. our sisters now go to ghana to give birth and get better health care.
Shebi they have discovered oil. very soon all this una talk about GDP go vanish. Just very soon, they will be exporting petroleum products to Nigeria.

For the mere fact that Nigeria is now being compared to Ghana shows that there is something very wrong with our country.

Ikengawo:

Im not bashing ghana, im posting facts about ghana, you are bashing NIgeria by saying that nigerians 'live on nothing' when nigerians are buying things your salary as a canadian cab driver couldn't fathom in the modern era. lol

i bet you still get calls from relatives claiming they're starving and actually send them the money thinking they're starving when they're fatter then you and have gym membership.

Oga,

whats this fixation on canada and their cab drivers? Are u aspiring to be a cab driver in canada? do u think everybody that visit nairaland are lowly people that do dirty jobs in developed countries? I have been to canada twice. yes their cab drivers have better roads, good schools, better medical facilities, sane environment, stable electricity, things that you with your nigerian millions cannot afford. they may be cab drivers but they are still better than you with your useless millions.
You are a typical bitter nigerian, deriving enormous satisfaction from bashing to appease your inferiority complex. Is 'fat' now a measure of wealth? Hiss!

Kobojunkie

Thanks Jare!

No one here is asking any meaningful question. we are just satisfied saying heewuuu, ehyaaaa, kpelllee, chai, ewooooo, when the country is upside down. If Jonathan were a northerner, these same people would have recognized him because the position favors them.
somebody here said that Rimi resigned his position as governor of kano. to whose benefit? why cant i start my distillery business in kano then? of what benefit is Rimi's purported resignation to me that I should 'show respect' now that he has died?

Are they not the same people that left hospitals without stretchers that he had to be lapped like a baby before he died in hospital? why should i spend so much seeking better medical care in india and not in the specialist hospital in kano? why

what part of our constitution recognizes amputation as a medium of punishment while government looters go with their full limbs. at night these amputees are heaped like plagues on my backyard and they are now crawling all over the place in Lagos, stealing and making a mockery of human dignity. what has been done by these people, rimi included, so that these people are properly trained and can open businesses that can benefit my cousins and brothers?/

so why should i say ehyaaaa for Rimi when i have not in any way benefitted from him?? why??
Politics / Re: Quit Comparing Nigeria To Ghana, Rivers State Alone Is Richer Then Ghana Lol. by igbogolo: 3:50pm On Apr 06, 2010
Mr Ikengaawo

This is a useless ghana bashing thread.
Its has never been in dispute that Nigeria is richer than Ghana

My Question is what has the riches been able to do for you?
Does Ghana build a 4.5km road with $500million like in your rich nigeria?

Dividing our GDP by our population is so wrong.
less that 10% of our population loot the treasury.
The remaining live on nothing. As you know, when u divide a small amount by a large population , you get almost zero.
Then you take the WEIGHTED average and then compare it with GHANA.

What is the GDP of rivers alone is greater than GHANA. Can you compare the two states? Ghana is of course better. so what sense does it make to post large GDP where there is only poverty to show for it?? Is it not Bayelsa state that a government accountant pilfered 6.4billion Naira is it not?

Please lets be guided accordingly. Enough of this ghana bashing. We are not any better!

Mr Hollandis,

Please answer me, is Sharia as practiced in Kano, the home state of Abubakar Rimi, in the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria And why has Rimi not publicly come out to say that sharia is not in the constitution??
So because he died, I should not say what I feel about my country? What did Abubakar Rimi do for me in his life that I should celebrate him in death? What

And how am i judging him? Can you explain please??
Politics / Re: The North Does Not Recognise Jonathan As Ag President – Rimi by igbogolo: 12:51am On Apr 06, 2010
Rimi said the North does not recognize Acting president as its not in the constitution.

Can I ask

Is sharia that is recognized in his home state kano, in the constitution? When something does not suit these thieving lunatics, they start playing with peoples intelligence.

Rimi, Abeg Adieu joo. Go and rest. You have spoken. Ehen , we have heard. Matter don finish. Goodnight!

Adaspire,

i feel for you. the truth is that even with the internet people still send letters and mobile technology has not knocked off land lines.
stop panicking and THINK! You must raise your head and look beyond the horizon and find out why customers have gone and where they are getting their services from. Go back to the table and offer VALUE to them. whats all the noise about mobile internet, starcoms and the rest? its crap. Infact, last december i looked for internet cafe to buy my tickets but I did not see any.

what is your current value offering? can you provide wireless access to people? your competitors arent just the other cyber cafe that opened down the road, they also include people that offer ALTERNATIVES and these alternatives could be anything from beer parlors to cinema.

and of course LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

I do not see whats so terrible about what they have done. They were not tongue kissing, neither was there maritial coitus.
I will do the same for my sibling if I am convinced the risk is worth it. Posing with a slight lip touch is absolutely nothing to sensationalize about.
BTW, this is not the first time such is happening. Siblings from all over Europe and Asia also take part in this to get their papers.

They made a mistake and they were caught. Thats it. This life is about the choices we make, some can make or mar. At times risk is rewarding.
Although, I would not advise anyone spending money just to come to dirty UK, I will not be a judge in how people choose to address their life's circumstances.

Move on people.

but ohakim is a beast and this episode did not come as a surprise to me. desperation has no bounds in nigeria.

the main issue here is evidence or lack of it.
ohakim can easily deny these allegations. if he has enough evidence he should head to court.

Too bad.
Travel / As Bellview Airlines Finally Goes Under by igbogolo: 12:07pm On Feb 05, 2010
Seems the end is near for Bellview airlines. Its Air Operator License has been revoked/ or expired?
According to the source it might take up to 2-3 years to get another license.
And the question is, why did bellview allow that to happen? Why did they not renew it before now.
Seems the management have no faith in the future of the airline with competition coming from Arik, Nigeria Eagle, Aero and Dana.
Au Revoir Bellview. Your days of pride are gone forever!

but if these allegations are true, then fashola must be held accountable.

I wont be surprised if u are gay. i have a friend i thought would shoot gays only to be caught in the act 2 years ago. you are not perfect just the same way gays might not be perfect. if they choose to share their dicks between themselves and consent to it, why is that your problem?
Even from your name, you cannot claim to be a custodian of virtue or morals. its an open secret that even the so called people in abuja, parading the national assembly complex as senators or house of rep members are closet gays.
Like someone said on this thread, we have other pressing things facing us in this country. if someone is gay and he/she is a good leader and can bring change and prosperity, i will vote for him. Simple!
