Travel / Re: Fg Condemns Deportation Of 125 Nigerians From South Africa by igbogolo: 9:06pm On Mar 06, 2012
South Africa of all places where babies and virgins are raped to cure AIDS. A people without identity and honour. I can imagine the over zealous immigration officer bouncing our nigerian brothers because of a flimsy card. What is yellow fever sef? I have never had any vaccination for yellow fever and I have travelled extensively. Is yellow fever really in Nigeria?

So south africa is trying to protect their country from yellow fever when they manufacture AIDS and Tuberculosis in their backyard factories. The stupid people my grandmother donated wrappers to when they were naked and hungry from apartheid.

Why do people even go there? The crime ridden cesspit where any divulgence of money or affluence at port of entry almost automatically leads to robbery at your hotel room!

Shame on Nigeria for getting this low where ordinary slave mentality south africans would deport them! Shame on Nigeria!

why be concerned about wild animals when the humans (especially the thieving elite)  in nigeria are wilder than the craziest animal.

the humans in nigeria are more poisonous than the rattle snake, more greedy than the komodo dragon, more rapacious than the highland vulture, more dangerous than the marbled cone snail.

these special numan species are like the bubonic plague, laying waste to large expanse of land with corruption and venom.

Family / Re: I Am Very Unhappy In My Marriage by igbogolo: 10:36am On Oct 26, 2011
The question I would like to ask this poster is what he has done to rescue the marriage? Men like to sit on their fat bottoms and expect the spark to come from the woman alone. she is getting fatter and fatter, what have you done about it? or are you not also getting fatter and fatter yourself?

Since you now have a child, your decision should not be made not without your child in mind. please and please consider this child when you are making your decision.

I think you should confront the issues in your marriage first before running to nairaland with your mouth diarrhoea.

Cuddlemii:

@kpolli

Hi five, u sure know whats up anytime, anyday.

@op

Let me laugh small. You are not speaking like a man that loves women. The day one of my male colleague jokingly touch another male colleague's butt when we were out on an errand, the toucher received the embarrasment of his life and in my mind, I was impressed. Do you know how majority of naija men despise gayish stuffs? I know of Naija men that can kill a ga-y if sighted. Here you are claiming that one job pays well blah blah blah blah.

Fu-ck the job! What can make someone undergo the torture of having his ar/se punctured by an old man? Even if you would be paid millions, it doesn't make sense. Its very possible you are hom-osexual hence you have a girlfriend & you are attracted to your oga as well. Its even absurd for a ga-y guy to go after a straight guy, they usually know themselves. Its possible you have been wearing figure hugging clothes to work, you shoot your buttocks out when you walk and position you hand like a female model or you led him on.

Well if you are straight, then have a dialogue with your boss that you are not interested in his proposal and you promise to keep everything confidential like it never happened. If he threatens you, you tell him your fiance's dad is a judge and you would use everything God made you with or made available to you to fight him. Don't blow the issue out of proportion, if he is a family man, he would take a chill pill.

But realistically, the story has Kay leg, no ga-y boss would send an email to toast his male employee when he knows its against the ethics of a company. People are not dumb, why would you leave traces of discriminating materials or evidence like that. You don't sound convinving enough, its possible you are trying to get out of the ga-y relationship with your boss. Something just doesn't sound right but I will work with you on this, you need to fight it, don't involve your chick to it because ladies aggrevate issues, she might approach your boss or start acting up. Just be a man first.

on the bolded:

quite on the contrary, there are THOUSANDS of closeted men who can even exhibit the same response of the person that was touched in the butt in your narrative. you would be surprised how many men will come out in the afternoon to swear of their hatred for ga.y people only to secretly want same at night.

I have learnt never to take people at face value especially when sexuality is concerned.

Correct,
Lack of courage of facing the prospects of being captured by Nigerian federal troops.
Lack of courage in facing the danger losing a war.
Lack of courage in facing the pain bullets fired by enemy soldiers.

You mean like Hitler had a Strategy. He killed himself like a bloody coward.

manny4life:

If I may add for those who call Ojukwu a coward; a coward by definition is someone who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person. I believe he hadn't shown these sig of cowardice during the years of fighting, him fleeing is what we call "exit strategy". Wars are fought with strategy, the moment all strategies are exhausted, you can either seek other "risk mitigating" option or EXIT. There are so historic wars where opponent armies or either exited after a few days or months, it did not make them weak, it just the most intelligent thing to do. Besides, you cannot compare war which was fought 40years ago to modern war of 8months ago.

Gadhafi fought his war the war he could; he did not have any strategy. He compiled millions or even billions of $$$, Ojukwu did not. Gadhaf had access to foreign weapons, he did not utilize them, he did not have the intelligence, I mean there were mitigating factors against the man you call a coward compared to the one who was killed in the hands of his own people.

dont mind them, people that have no answers to the pains facing them are here calling someone who dared to change the situation a coward. empty barrels always makes the most noise. its easy to say this and that but its very difficult to DO it. Action speaks louder than trumpeted mouths.

Of course everyone is welcome to their opinion, but what matters is that the IGBOS who Ojukwu led are content and happy with him. Other rants are irrelevant.

So far I have pretended that I cannot read the childish tribal route you are trying to drag this issue.

The question is did Ojukwu run away?
ANSWER: YES

Does such an act amount to cowardice?
ANSWER: YES

You call GEJ names. Who cares. He is even worse than Ojukwu but that does not make Ojukwu not a coward and even a poor strategist(Evident in his pre-war & post-war political life)

Bravery does not begin and end with your conception of cowardice. I lost numerous uncles and cousins in the war and OJUKWU still remains my hero and the hero of all the people I know who were INVOLVED in the war.

Let your own people do their own so that you can judge them ok? Leave judgement to the IGBOS

Spare us.I know all the sad events that culminated into the war. When the other cowards turned back, Ojukwu should have gone back to the drawing board, get his people out of the north and pretend nothing was happening, then strike when Gowon least expected. That is when he would have been prepared.

You do not declare secession when you do not have the political and Military machinery to see it to the end.

I have read his speech time and time again and I am shocked at the poor diplomacy displayed with regards to foreign backing.

And when the mistake has been made you go down fighting like a man and inspire your people and generations unborn. NOT RUN LIKE A DOG WITH ITS TAIL IN BETWEEN ITS LEGS!

1stCitizen:

This is exactly the point I raised earlier. Why start a fight you cannot finish then run away like a chicken.

Libyans were being oppressed for 42 years by Ghaddafi no doubt. The Rebel leadership only started a war when it got all the assurance of foreign support it needed to finish the war.

Even when the scales tipped and NATO intervention was delayed with Ghaddafi forces close to Benghazi. They held on and refused to abandon the citizens of Benghazi.

I will not be drawn into a tribal tirade with you. Ojukwu is a Nigerian and a coward.

So while you are being killed you should not protect yourself because you will be in a fight you cannot finish? Is this Ijaw reasoning 101? no wonder you people are the most ra*ped people on earth today!

You should comment based on the circumstances of the event. Igbos were being killed in the north and after the aburi accord talks broke down. there was a plan for the Yoruba people to declare their own republic as well to enable the seccession to be brief.

bit alas, the ijaw people turned back ( the cowards they are), followed by the yeereeebaas( they too double cowards too) leaving the igbos to go it alone. not long igbo streets in rivers and port harcourt were renamed as the lazy ijaw and ikwerre people suddenly saw abandoned properties to loot and claim.

The real cowards are the people of the south south together with the almighty treacherous yeereeeba loud mouthed people.

alas, ijaw man,  are you enjoying the nigeria that you fought for in 1967? if you are , good luck to you!

igbos were killed during the war. we had the most casualties. i think its left for us to decide if ojukwu misled us or not. or if ojukwu is a coward or not. for he fact that even families that lost people never regretted it says a lot about us.

Igbos will decide if Ojukwu is a coward not you pls. ok,  go and hold your jonathan to account, the spineless useless ijawa man currently unable to do anything. trembling and a weakling. Go and tell your brother to grow some balls and quit coming to the internet for a quickie!

@1st Citizen it is quite unfortunate that I have to bridle words with a witless ijaw worm like you especially as regards Ojukwu's pride of place in the historical annals of this jungle called Nigeria.
If I may ask you, where is boro asari boyloaf tompolo etc, if i may remind you, your brother Asari was weeping like a pus, e when he was detained for less than a year, he was given a plea bargain to abandon his struggle and like a coward that he was he ran with his tails inbetween, but Uwazurike was given thesame bail conditions which he declined, so between this two who belong to the race of cowards? Yet you are here saying rubbish about a man who withstood Goworm and his minions for 30 months after your likes betrayed us.
I've come to respect just two ijaw men, Atedo and Banigo, aside this two you all are a bunch of spineless bastards who keep licking the Bottom of the northern hegemony just like your son who we gave our support at the polls is currently doing and FYI goin to SA etc on amnesty prog cant salvage your lots pathetic situation, get a clue.

Thank you! The same OJUKWU said 'Goodmorning' to the Ijaw people not too long ago when they also started suffering the nigerian disease.
To 1st citizen, 'goodmorning'. if you have a mind go home, sit down and carefully think what that means and take a hard look at your life and existence

NATO carried out 19,877 sorties in Libya.
US planes carried out 1,210 strike missions, including 101 strike sorties by Predator drones, with 262 bombs or missiles launched, unmanned US aircraft in the campaign included a total of four Predators, Firescout helicopters and at least one Global Hawk, a large surveillance jet.
France:  33%, approximately 2,225 strike sorties (out of 6,745 total sorties by August 4)
US:  16%, 801 strike sorties, (out of 5,005 strike sorties by June 30)
Denmark:  11%, dropped 705 bombs (out of the 7,079 missions)
Britain:  10%, 700 strike sorties (out of 7,223 total sorties by August 15)
Canada:  10%, approximately 324 strike sorties (based on 3,175 NATO strike sorties)
Italy:  10% (Not applicable until April 27 when Italy committed 4 Tornados for strike sorties)
Norway:  10%, 596 strike sorties (out of the 6,125 missions)
Belgium:  8th ally participating in combat missions, no public data available on number of strike sorties

Dont waste your time typing nonsense. This is 2011 not 1967. Libya is a known aggressive state with sophisticated weapons procured from Russia, China, UK, Italy and France. Libya sponsors terrorism in other countries. If they did not weaken his military might  with Bombs NATO would never have been able to enable the NTC kill Gadaffi. They also supplied the rebels with sophisticated amoury and intelligence!

Biafra fought with BARE hands against Nigeria and her mercenaries and foreign powers and held them off for THREE years. It was a war they were never prepared for.

so delude yourselves, cowards die a thousand times. the biafra that they fought and died for remains your albatross because a single day does not pass without you people calling ojukwu. if he were so irrelevant why discuss him? Cant you people sleep without calling him? Afterall yorubas bebefitted from the war with your awolowo becoming finance mnister. we had 20 miserable pounds after the war with all our properties destroyed, women raped, land consficated etc. but yet, the IGBO spirit enabled us to turn the fortune around within a decade. Biafra no doubt would have been better than this Nigeria 1000 times!

Yorubas caused the most casuality to ndi igbo with their deceit and cowardice and yes they are paying dearly for it today. so we are all in the rot called nigeria suffering and smiling, with the lowest life expectancy rates, no health care, no schools, no social nets, no money, no power, queuing at embassies and being denied visas, ridiculed and harassed overseas, etc!

Instead of looking at ways of improving the situation, someone here started a thread that mocks a man who dared to do something about the oppression in Nigeria. I laugh at you!

So yoruba people, go fight for your oduduwa republic with your thugs in Ibadan. Please do it alone because no one will fight with you. and leave those who want a nation of their own, afterall the war was not fought in the south west.

Tribe bashing is not my thing, but I had to comment on this, because iτ̅  seems that some people can't help iτ̅ , because no matter what tĦey  do, tĦey can't take away the shine of a great tribe.

And yes!! Revel in your ignorance in comparing a man loved by his people to a man who at the news of his death, celebrations were made in the entire country.
*Wallow in your stupidity in comparing someone who bravely fought a war with no weapons, with one who had a stock pile of sophisticated artillery
*welter in your deranged state in comparing a man who stood strongly for what he believed in and was ready to salvage his people from blood thirsty and jealous tribes with someone who single handedly killed and oppressed his own people, and later on ended in a hole.

Smh @ the level of folly on here.

I am still working on the cost of fuel to the pump were crude oil refined and processed in Nigeria. My rough estimate is N43 naira.
My calculations show that we are over paying for fuel by about 50%  even at N65 per litre. So, i am inclined to believe that there is really no subsidy in place in the first instance.

I think petrol is very expensive in Nigeria even as we have no amenities, no social net, nothing.

For those that voted Jonathan and not PDP, please continue to smile and suffer. A man who wants to remove increase fuel prices at this time is simply clueless!

Omo Oso,

you are pointing at the wrong places to hussle. SA, Dubai, China are all wolves den for Nigerians who want to hussle. I will advise you to try europe. Get admission to study something and then apply for work permit after your studies or marry oyibo is that appeals to you. that way you have the skills, the permit to hussle, if you must.

480k is about 2.2kCHF so it should be enough to pay fees for a semester say in Germany or Norway etc. Barbers also earn a lot of money too, so go to study and then set up your barbing business afterwards.

I really dont know what else to say but the most important thing I would want you to know is to avoid SA and Dubai. These two places are very difficult to get working permits as an unskilled nigerian. I got my first SA visa in 2006 and refused to travel afterwards when I could not convince myself to try after hearing stories of crime and all what not. I have not regretted that decision.

All the best in your quest.

however, i have flown chanchangi a few times and i can say i had my best flights with them. it was a 727 they were using but what impressed me was their landing. take off was very smooth, flight was very smooth, landing was extra smooth! i admire chanchangi pilots.

the same cannot be said about arik. planes are new but pilots are crappy. so i do not know which one i prefer.

i have seen the tape. The girl kept saying bros i beg now. a guy told her to position herself very well. If you want a copy of d video, i can send it to you since its available online. She WAS violated, you only need to listen to the dialogue to understand that. I think its obvious  she knew maybe one or more of the guys, but she wasn't expecting to sleep with all of them. She was also scared, as she thought they were kidnappers(she said my aunty will give you whatever money you ask for). She was also in shock (did anyone hear her say anything to prove she was enjoying it?)

She wasnt sure they would not kill her (she said you can kill me oo).

Listen to the dialogue please!!!

Pro01, arsenefc and princek12, dudes, you are all wrong on this issue please!! Listen to the dialogue!!! DO you know that in civilised countries, even though a girl comes home with you, strips na-ked, gives you a blo-w job and when she's about to slot your member into the 'promised land',  wink wink, she has the RIGHT to say NO, STOP, DON'T CONTINUE !!! shocked shocked shocked shocked if the guy doesnt stop, he will be prosecuted and found guilty of violation!!!

violation happens once the girl says NO, regardless of when she says it. A wife can jail her husband for violation if he sticks his member in when she says No!

From this legal point of view, its quite obvious she WAS violated. Forget the nigerian police(small caps intentional), they are a bunch of stinking maggots that there co-maggots in hellfire await eagerly on the day of judgement.

As for the police officers who say this aint violation, for sure, what happened to her will happen to ALL their daughters(old and young, married and single), whether they are with 1 person(male or female) or several people. Then they can come and continue this discussion with me(us) personally or online(NL or email).

Abeg guys, don't bring what aint gat nothing to do with you on your heads. A wrong has been done to her. Stop saying what youre saying. its immoral, reprehensible and totall runs foul of all that is called fundamenetal human rights. Shehas the right to go wherever she wants to go, sleep with whoever she wants to and her consent was not given in the video.

Alas! Thank you kurus. You are the only one that makes sense. some people commenting here might not even be igbo not to talk of understanding what she was saying.

I was able to see the beginning of the clip and I can say that the scenario DOES not look like one where consensual sex is being done.  When sleeping with a woman, even if she is drunk, and she says NO, then NO means NO! The dictionary has ONLY one definition of NO and so does 'Kill me'.

Kill me means just that, kill me! I am better off dead than being raped like this. So kill me instead! Thats what she was saying. she wished for death to escape the agony of rape.

For people like prince12 and pro01 whom i have quietly observed in this forum and like to distort straight facts with useless verbiage, when a neighbours corpse is being carried it looks like firewood. evil begets evil and pray that they never become victims themselves.

I am not even surprised that the nigeria police said this thrash, after all they rape women right in the police cell. Nigeria police are animals who deserve no mercy, thats why i have no pity for them when BOKO HARAM decide to take their vengeance to the police stations

Before you think of buying a salvaged car, please ride 100m behind one.

The cars 'run' like it has no centre bolt and sideways like local nigerian dogs. while you may be inside with your raybans, chilling with windows up and nodding your head to your favourite nigerian tune, you may not sure why passers by look at you. You may think you are attracting jealous stares because of your new automobile, but I am sure people will be looking at you and wondering why you made the mistake of buying a salvaged car because you would not be able to see how your car looks from a distance. forget the cheap gloss and the paint,

Go for peace of mind and get a car without major accident history.

I then drove the camry 2007 model and was very disappointed. I felt like I was driving a bus. The 2001 camry is also very good but its honda for me any day.

I like the camry air conditioning though.

My former colleague was issued a UK visa with just N80,000 in her account. Her salary then was 77,000 a month. She is a petty trader as well. She just told the ECO that she has bought things to sell and has not recouped her money yet. She was given a 6 months visa. That was in 2005 or so.

The same girl applied to the american embassy with N22,000 in her account. The visa officer just looked at her and asked her why her balance was so low. she told him that she just buried the dad and it was very expensive. The visa officer was about to start that their, 'unfortunately at this time, you are not qualified for a US visa yarns', when she asked him how long it takes him to save for an his own vacations. Some americans save for a year to go on vacations! she told him she applied to be issued a visa in 6 months time, in which time she would have saved enough, but she needed to be sure that the visa is issued first before saving ( as against trading). The US officer told her to come back when she is ready to travel with some money in her account, he said anything at all, just add to your account and come back when you are due to travel.

She went back five months later and received her 1 year multiple entry. This was a time when directors and managers of major multinational firms were denied visas like children.

SO, the account thingy is very dicy. its just luck i suppose. and if you apply to the UK for visa on a business trip, then be sure you have funds to be considered as a business person!
