MrPresident1:
The west made a mistake supporting buhari, but Igbos have been supporting the north since 1960. Azikwe chose to become governor genersl rather than prime minister in 1960. Ekwueme was deputy to Shagari in 1979, Sylvester Ugo was vice running mate to Bashir Tofa in 1993, all through this, Yoruba were in opposition. The only time in the history of Nigeria when the Yoruba have aligned with Fulani ( due to the ignorance of the youth, and against the advice of the elders), Igbos turn around to call us betrayers. Pray tell, what have you guys been since 1960?

Lousy misfiring blunderbuss
Normal Yoruba lies.

Awolowo's treachery left Zik with no choice but to align with the North in 1959.

Awolowo also would accept to become Gowon and North's puppet in 1967 and ganged up with the North to commit near extinction of the Igbo race. I bet that's part of your opposition politics, huh!

In 1979 election Zik was the Igbo candidate and not Ekwueme.
The North had used and dumped Awolowo by 1979, they were not going to let him become the president of the one Nigeria he sacrificed millions of Igbo kids to sustain, so Awo shamelessly chose an Igbo VP, hoping to curry the favour those he nearly sent into extinction, but the North were one step ahead of Awo, as they too chose an Igbo VP in Ekwueme, the Igbo votes were shared too thin between Zik, Ekwueme and Awo Vice, allowing Shagari to win.

Deal with it, your Northern masters outwitted your self acclaimed sage in 1979. It's not the Igbo fault that Awo was rejected by Nigerians for the umpteenth time.

Abiola had a Northern vice in 1993 and was a darling of the North. As usual they used and dumped him and your Yoruba leaders collected money and sold him out when push came to shove.
Don't blame Ndiigbo for your misadventures.

Yorubas have been in the habit of aligning with the North. Who was Obasanjo Vice all those 8 years of his rule? Who were those who disgraced Ekwueme to pave way for OBJ during that 1999 PDP primaries on the guise that Ekwueme was a Biafran? Was it not the North?

Just park one side with your history revisionism. This Igbo is not the Igbo of 1960's that understood not the importance of debunking your lies, but instead allowed Awolowo and Akintola to run wild with their Igbophobic speeches and articles without appropriately putting them to sword with proper rebuttals.

Your lies in this 21st century will be properly checkmated and eviscerated with proper rebuttals.

By the way, there was never a time Yorubas led Igbos in NECO.

And even in this 2016 NECO, Ekiti led, but Abia still came third, and I'm sure that by the time we finish collating the results from the rest of the States, the SE will lead the SW region collectively.

We're on same page on two things. First you subtly admitted There is an Igbo denials in Onitsha and despite the denials, Onitsha people feel more at home with other Igbos than Anioma people for some obvious reasons. This is why it's outrageous to even think of categorizing those towns completely alienated from Anioma land and happenings in Anioma areas as Anioma town.
Onitsha is not alienated to Oshimili/Aniocha, it's just a walking distance. So it's mischievous to say that Onitsha is alienated to Anioma.
The proper thing to say would be that Onitsha is alienated to Ika/Ukwuani.

Onitsha attitude to Igbo unity is exactly as obtained in Oshimili/ Aniocha.
Politics › Re: Igbo Vs Delta-Igbo: What A Guy Posted On Facebook by Igboid: 12:10pm On Sep 17, 2016
Well, this Onitsha discussion escalated too fast.

If Anioma is just a political grouping, within the Igbo ethnic group, as envisaged by Osadebey, then Onitsha or any Igbo town East of the Niger is not Anioma.

But if we understand Anioma as a cultural group, United by migration story from Bini with Eze chime migration story being the biggest of them all, and by shared trado political leaning towards the Binis and also by ancestral links to Igbo towns west of the Niger, then we can comfortably include Eastern towns like Onitsha( the three Ezechima villages there) , Obosi( some villages in Obosi), Ndoni, Ogbaru, Oguta, Ora ifite into it.

But the second grouping is only possible, if Anioma remains an Igbo group.

Now, this is interesting. Will Yorubas now accept the authenticity of NECO, cos they have been denying it when they lagged behind the East.

The fact he even said only Onitsha is anioma also speaks volume. Like which anioma does not know that aniomaland in Anambra extends past Onitsha? Abeg gi

I'm an Anioma born and brought up. The only recognized Anioma town outside of Delta and Edo States is Onitsha. What do you know about Anioma history and culture? What makes Ogbaru and Ogidi and those other Eastern towns Anioma? Forget what you read in textbooks and face reality. What links do these places have with Anioma that will make Anioma become Igbo because someone in this heart of Igboland is Igbo. You can deceive yourself all you want but as far as Anioma people are concerned, you are not an Anioma person. Nobody includes you in any happening in Aniomaland.
They don't have links with Ika, but do have links with Oshimili/Aniocha which are still Igbo till today.

And the last time I checked, Onitsha as of today is still Igbo, they don't share in your "ah no be ibo" madness, so I don't know why you are "famzing" Onitsha. Better face your Bini overlords.

People who emphasized tribe are trubalist. Both Ojukwu and Awo emphasied tribe and were passionate about their tribe.
Ojukwu protected the interests of Eastern region. Not just those of Ndiigbo.

He was not against United Nigeria, he was seeking for a Nigeria where Justice and equity reigned. Those who were bent on imposing injustice rejected that version of Nigeria he proposed, and instead went about screaming "one Nigeria", a version of Nigeria that protected the interest of their own groups.

Yet they were supposed to be the nationalists, while Ojukwu must be a rebel for rejecting their own version of Nigeria?

If he is indeed from one of the Anioma groups under dispute, which I highly doubt, then it is him who does not know his history. How can he expect us to take his arguments seriously when he can't even identify the full extent of Anioma land?

I don't usually like to get involved in threads such as I don't really care that much for other people's lies and propaganda. However, I've come to notice that a lot of people are starting to believe the nonsense they write. That's why the likes of @coolitempa, a Yoruba poster (I assume) thought it okay to come on a thread populated with mostly Igbos and say that my people are not Igbo but rather Bini. That is the last straw and I will not stand for it anymore. The next time I see someone try to question my people's Igboness again, they will have hell to pay angry.
There is possibility of him being Bini, but also know that I had seen Ikas that behave exactly like him, so there is still the possibility of him being Ika.

Whenever you read me, try and read between the lines.
Most of the time I am sarcastic in my approach.

In those points, I am talking to the dude who was advising the South to build her own strength rather than disusing the North.
I listed what the North got up her sleeve that gave her the so called strength.
I gave the guy a reply suitable for him.
I wanted him to see clearly the deception of their so called strength.

I am sure you know my position about Nigeria, it has never changed and it wont.
Ok. I understand now.

Just take off any idea of Ndiigbo working with Yorubas off your mind,

Yorubas are tied to the North by Islam. Atleast 50% of them are Muslims, and there are also Yorubas that are Northerners themselves, whose allegiance is first and foremost to the seat of caliphate in Sokoto.

For Yorubas to support Nigeria disintegration will mean Yorubas giving up on those other Yorubas in the North, it will mean balkanization of Yorubaland. As the North won't give up those Northern Yorubalands, and worst still, most of those Northern Yorubas don't want to be separated from the North. They feel at home there.

Put yourself in Yoruba shoes and understand why when faced with option of Nigeria disintegration and Nigerian unity, the Yorubas will chose Nigerian unity 100/100.

You don't blame them for it, if in their shoes, I would do same, but you have to factor it in your equation if you intend breaking away from Nigeria, you will be strategically naive to be seeking for Yoruba support to do so, it will mean that you are asking them to divide their own lands.

1. Become brutal and swift with violence. Kill northerners for no reason
2. Promote Southern Unity Nigeria more than Nigeria.
3. Pay serious emphasis on Nigerian politics, constitution and positions
4. The Igbo/Yoruba to embrace
5. Consider ethnicity and religion first in every election.

You have such a great mind, I can see it.

There can never be such a union, nature made sure of it.

This is same mistake that Ojukwu made.

Can't you see that your number 5 is in direct conflict with your number 4?

Yorubas are Muslims and are bound to the North by Islam.
Yorubas Still have a significant population of them in Northern Nigeria, under Gambari emirate system and are submissive to the Caliphate in Sokoto.

And no, we will never do number 1. That's not Who we are. Doing that will erode the very fabric of Offor na ogu upon which the Igbo society is built, it will destroy us and will rob us of our identity, leaving us disillusioned and confused. What is power?
You think it's a co incidence that the most powerful nations on Earth are also high ranked in academic/ scientific achievements, economic prosperity and a manufacturing based economy?

The North is the most backward region in Nigeria educationally, it's the worst economically and the worst in terms of local manufacturing base.

You speak of Agriculture, well breaking news! Nigeria imports her staple foods, and every other region produce theirs to support the imported ones. The North can't feed herself , as we speak we have IDP camps in North where people are starving and you are here talking trash,

Politics, well like I said earlier, they inherited the title of the Keepers of the colonial entity that is Nigeria.
They are just the chief servants of the Caucasian powers, and anytime they just take orders from above and are given minimal opportunity of carrying out local decisions, any time they attempted to question their orders from above, the consequences have always been acute and fatal, Mutala and Abacha as examples.
They are chief servants, that can hardly translate to real political power in internationally arena, and this is why Nigeria will continue to underachieve.

Military power? Lol, do the North manufacture any weapon? They only get "hand me down" weapons from the Caucasian powers sold to them at exorbitant prices, enough just to keep the colonial entity and slave camp intact as long as they keep taking the orders passed to them, they will continue getting them, if they attempt to stop taking orders, it ( weapon supplies) will be stopped and it's unity will be threatened by centrifugal forces within, causing the North to panic and go back to taking orders again.
Look at how the order to hand over Bakassi to Cameroon by Hague was carried out without objections. *grins*

It doesn't take much to see that the North so called power is artificial and not real, it's a reflection.

Well, the North inherited the title of "keepers of the British colonial estate" that is Nigeria.

They are the representatives of the colonial power in Nigeria.
They are like the Chief servants in the colonial entity, they work in tandem with other willing servants from all parts of Nigeria.

In the final analysis of things, they are no better than the rest of the colonial entity dwellers, if anything they are worst off, for how can we measure power without economic and technological advancements?
