Then ask questions before you jump to conclusions. We can't carry Cross River along without their consent because unlike Akwa Ibom that is homogeneous, Cross River has dozens of tribes in it who complained of ibibio/efik dominance before the states were split. So as it is we can only carry the efik our sisters along, the other tribes are free to join Nigeria, Biafra,Middle belt, ibom Republic or form their country
Ok.
I understand your reasoning now.
There should be room to accommodate Efik Sha in the Ibom republic.

Doing the same thing u accuse the fulani and yoruba people of doing, 'divide and conquer'. How ever your argument is dead on arrival, ibeno like wise eket are ibibios, eastern obolo also has ibibios in it, hence the relocation of the seaport from oron nation who already house the states InternationalAirport(our airport isn'tin uyo or in Ibibio land but oron Territory) . The ibibio/efik/Annang/oron family is a complex one so I advise u to work on your Biafra while we work on our ibom Republic and mind your business. Thanks
Less not lie to ourselves

There might be one or two Ibeno and Eastern Obolo people who are part of Akwaibom state government, and hence promote Akwa Ibom.
But the truth is that many of Obolo and Ibeno people back home,I mean their commoners, see Ibibio and Annang as oppressors and would happily seize any opportunity to free themselves from you lots and have control of their Crude oil themselves without having to share with Ibibio and Annangs.

Oron wants independence too.
There use to be an old Oron moniker here in 2009 upwards who was eagerly gingering for Oron independent country.

Truth is that Akwaibom is a Nigerian government Creation and she wouldn't waste time to uncouple it and instigate Ibeno, Obolo and Oron against you Ibibios and Annangs if you continue allow greed to blind you.

Create division so that they can exploit!
Nope.
I'm not creating division.

I'm promoting unity.
If Akwaibom(Ibibio/Annang) cut Cross River loose because they reason Cross River has no crude oil and nothing to add.
They should expect Ibeno and Eastern Obolo and Oron to do same thing to them.
As an Igbo, I would want to see an Akwa Cross country that is hostile to Hausa-Fulani led NIGERIA, that would liase with Biafra to leave NIGERIA.
That way,the blockage using the Crossriver/Cameroon border NIGERIA used in 1967-70 on Biafra will never work again.

I'm just not comfortable with the idea of Akwa Ibom leaving while Cross River stays in Nigeria.
It doesn't help my Biafran cause.

So Ibom republic get all these matter. Wahala plenty o. grin grin grin

But I hear it is only Igbos that don't love themselves. Ndi apari grin
Well.
The Ibibio and Annang are getting greedy in this Ibom independent country by thinking they can cut off their brothers in Cross River after stripping them of their oil through legal litigations( not many people Know that Cross River currently don't produce a single ounce of oil, she lost all her offshore fields to Akwaibom in a bitter legal battle).

What they(Ibibio/Annang) don't know is that Ibeno and Eastern Obolo people don't see themselves as Ibibio. They had developed their own independent ethnicities and are constantly bickering about Ibibio and Annang using their oil wealth to develop Uyo and Ikot Ekpene.

If you conduct a referendum today in Akwaibom, the Obolo and Ibeno people would vote for their own independent state, (the Ijaws are even there in Ibeno and Obolo, introducing more trouble) Likewise the Oron. Take away Eastern Obolo and Oron from Akwaibom and Akwaibom will become "almost" (Ikot Abasi has access to ocean though) landlocked and would lose all her current offshore oil claim.

The way I see it, the Ibibio/Annang are the beneficiaries of current Nigerian arrangement.
If they push their luck too much with this Ibom country thing, Nigerian government who gave them Akwa Ibom will take it away by giving autonomy to Obolo and Ibeno and instigating Ibibiophobia there.
Oron already have their own follow come Ibibiophobia and always wanted to be with Efiks who they are more related with.

Ibibio are not in position to be chanting Ibom republic and be greedily excluding Cross River while counting on Ibeno and Obolo oil wealth that doesn't belong to Ibibios.
It's madness.

I hope they realize early and stop the greed by going back to the more inclusive AkwaCross union that we( Ndiigbo) always wanted to see.

I attached the map of Akwaibom for you to see my point.
Atleast 90% of Akwaibom oil wealth is offshore. They don't have much onshore oil Wells. Take away Eastern Obolo and Ibeno and Oron who are not Ibibios and it's game over!

Good and fine.
But you have to know you have your own "Ikwerre" problem right in Ibeno and Eastern Obolo.
If given the choice to choose, they would cut you Ibibio and Annang off and proclaim independence too, like you Ibibios have cut Cross River off.
So I would advise you all calm down.
I hope this your quest for Ibom country is not hinged on offshore oil wealth in Ibeno and Eastern Obolo, because you might get a rude awakening.
Be sure you are ready to still have this Ibom country with or without Eastern Obolo and Ibeno, because the way I see it, that's likely going to be the outcome. The FG will simply give Eastern Obolo and Ibeno autonomy from you hinterland Annang and Ibibios, and your game will be up.
And the Oron seem to want their own independence too.
There was an Oron guy here in 2009 who was campaigning for Oron independent country, and you have to know that Oron feel more affiliated to Efik than to you Ibibios and Annangs.
From my angle here, your Ibom country is standing on shaky ground and wouldn't be very hard to squash using fissure lines already existing in the state by deploying efficient divide and rule tactics.

Olukumi is far deviated Igala.
They also bear Igala name like Ugbade and share common boundary with neighboring Ebu which is also Igala speaking town.
Igala begot many Igbo speaking part of Delta, Anambra and Enugu but because of acculturation and proximity many were influence by high Igbo population which makes them adopted Igbo language today.
Even the remnants Igala speaking towns within those vicinity are all vigorously adopting Igbo language.
Ugbodu, Oku-nzu, Ebu(Delta Igalas) Illushi(Edo Igala), All Anambra Igala speaking part which NZAM my home town is part of , all Enugu Igala speaking part, are all adopting Igbo language posing a threat for the extinction of our mother language.
Don't be silly.
Many Igala refugees fleeing from Attah Igala cruelty were accommodated in many Parts of Northern Igboland (Anioma, Anambra North and Enugu North) where they coexist with Igbo aboriginals they met on ground.
Some of them came as Invaders and were trapped or a stalemate ensued and they had to find a way to co-exist.

Nzam is also a bonafide Igbo town that the Igbo aboriginals had to quell and subdue Igala Invaders after a fierce battle.
The Igalas were allowed to stay and have been peacefully and slowly acculturated and assimilated as Igbos over the years.

Anytime any of you are tired of this peaceful acculturation process, you will be chased back to Idah where you invading, war mongering or refugee ancestors came from.

Beware. Igbo nationalism is currently a moving train and at its peak. Don't remind us of your Igala ancestors aggression that brought you to our land to start with, you will be ruthlessly crushed.

The Olukwumi people is a subgroup of the Yoruba people of the Aniocha North area of the Delta State, Nigeria. The Olukwumi occupy eight communities west of the Niger river, and are together known today as the Odiani Clan in Aniomaland. Historically, the Odianis are the Yoruba clans in the Anioma cultural area. Ukwu Nzu (Eko Efun) town is the historical headquarters of the Olukwumi people and is traditionally headed by the Obi of Ukwu Nzu, Agbogidi The present Obi is H.R.M. Obi Ogoh 1. Olukwumi villages select leaders through the Okpala Obi system, which is the Okpala (gerontocracy) of the Yorubas. The Odianis today are seen as Igbos in Delta State, together with the Ezechime who and Idumuje clan . The Anioma people are the Igbo subgroup from Aniocha (Enuani and Olukwumi), Ndokwa (Ukwuani), Ika, and Oshimili areas of Delta State.

At best they can be said to be a member of the "defoid" ie the common language tree the proto Igala and Proto Yoruba people emerged from.
Either way, they met aboriginal Igbos on ground who acculturated and assimilated them.
Out of the 6 Odiani communities, 4 has been fully assimilated as Igbo speakers, while only 2 are still bilingual in Igbo(Enuani) and Olukumi( defoid) language.

Also it has to be understood that Olukumi is as intelligible to Yorubas as Igala is to Yorubas.
They are not mutually intelligible.

A BRIEF UNTOLD HISTORY ABOUT THE IGBO INCEPTION OF UGBODU KINGDOM .
November 26, 2018
There has always been igbos in ugbodu before the arrival of the warriors from Akure, sent by the then Oba of Benin wen he was in pursuit of the fleeing igbos from the Benin kingdom. Those warriors getting to ugbodu,settled....and called the igbos there "olukumi" meaning my friends. So ugbodu was an igbo town by inception hence the use of igbo language along side the yoruboid language(olukumi). You cant separate ugbodu from her igboness.

what I am saying is dat ndi igbo is part of the foundation of Ugbodu Kingdom and Anioma in general so when we are speaking of fore father's and birth right, that should be in mind too coz actually, the warriors were the ones who "came in" and settled ,meeting pre existing igbos . So one can decide to identify as onye igbo from Ugbodu in Anioma delta state and also those who feel they are Yorubas or olukumi can also identify as one.

We are not Fulanis
They are not Yorubas.
They are indigenous Igbos who Akure warriors who Oba Bini sent to conquer them settled among them and became their kings, disobeying and cutting off the Oba Bini in the process.
The Owo(Yoruba soldiers) brought Yoruba culture and flavor to the people, which was subsequently diluted by the Indigenous Igbo flavor of the aboriginals.

Just like people are saying, this girl doesn't look Fulani and that is clearly because she is most likely not one.
She could be a Kamwe (Michika) Muslim girl with a fulani mother.

A pure fulani girl with both parents as Fulanis will hardly marry a Muslim man from Indigenous Adamawa tribes like Marghi, Kilba or Chamba, let alone an Igbo man or Christian.

This only happens in extremely rare cases when a lot of money is involved.

If Yoruba fights a war in Nigeria today and lose. Then it wouldn't be hard to fan anti Yoruba agenda among Ijebus and Aworis in Lagos. You will just hand power over to the already existent anti Yoruba unity groups there and dethrone all the currently pro Yoruba unity there.
Ijebu already have history of difficulty in accepting Yoruba unity in the past, so it wouldn't be a difficult job to sow such seeds there.

19. “The people of Ahoada, a Division of which a pan runs down to meet Port Harcourt, appear at one time to have favoured the idea of a Rivers state, but have changed their views and before us expressed themselves as strongly against it. Comparatively few of them live in the low-lying swampy country of the coastal strip and they have voted for the NCNC consistently, they said themselves that a main factor in their change of front had been the inclusion if the Western Ijaws in the proposed state. So long, they said, as the Rivers state was to consist of the River Province only, the Ibos would have been the most numerous tribe within it: but the inclusion of the Western Ijaw Division put them at a numerical disadvantage beside the Ijaws and they therefore preferred to stay out. Whether or not this was a line of reasoning that really had a wide appeal, the fact remain that before us they were opposed to the idea of the state. This is not surprising because their problems are different from those of the ijaws.”

20. “To include within a River state Ahoada and Port Harcourt, would, we believe, create a problem as acute as that with which we were asked to deal at present and and would be sharply resented by the Ibos of the central plateau.”
This is the info from Willink report on COR movement.

If the COR movement was subjected under a referendum like the Midwest creation.
Igbos in Ahoada (Ekpeye, EGBEMA Ogba,Ndoni) and PH province ( Ikwerre, Etche) would have chosen Eastern region over old Rivers State.
And the Ogoja minorities would have chosen Easte central state too over being in same State with Ibibios and Efiks.

The only way COR creation would have happened was by military fiat as it did and then post civil war Igbophobic agenda to make the people to hate Igbos and accept the newly created states.
Yes there were people from all these areas campaigning for COR, but they were by no means the majority in their homelands.
