Akponmfet:This is also why reasonable Igbos don't want any minorities included in Biafra. We will not be eating faeces from you lots in the name of inclusiveness. Nah, none of you lots are worth it. Better we stay as neighbors. |
Do you know that the famous "Aba Women Riot" of 1929 actually originated from a Market called Ukam Market in Ikot Abasi and so many women lost their lives in the killing ordered by the Colonial Division Officer in Ikot Abasi,Stop writing thrash. I have sadly noticed the propensity of minorities to castigate and try to steal Igbo history and claim it for themselves. I have been in an Ijaw forum where they made a similar claim as above, only difference being that they said it was Ijaw women riot and that Zik and Ndiigbo hijacked it and claimed it for Ndiigbo. Enough of this historical distortions. Aba women riot remains what it is. It is Aba women riot. It started in Owerri province which Aba was part of of and spread to Calabar province which Akwa cross and Opobo were part of. https://www.historians.org/teaching-and-learning/teaching-resources-for-historians/teaching-and-learning-in-the-digital-age/through-the-lens-of-history-biafra-nigeria-the-west-and-the-world/the-colonial-and-pre-colonial-eras-in-nigeria/the-womens-market-rebellion-of-1929 You lots (minorities) can't wake up in 21st century and start tampering with Igbo history and not expect hostile resistance from proud Igbos. Mind yourselves o! ![]() |
theFilmtric:You are in no way a match for Ndiigbo. Igbo ukwu artifacts beat whatsoever Yorubaland (Ife) has to offer. |
theFilmtric:What is your point? What is the name of your ethnic group let's compare your precolonial achievements with those of Ndiigbo. Nsibidi originated from small Ejagham tribe in Cross River. Ndiigbo living close to them borrowed and modified it to serve us. That's basically how progressive communities behave. |
OP. I couldn't fault a single word from your posts. Apt and straight to the point. 1. SS is dispensable in the Biafran struggle 2. Ndiigbo must jettison minorities if that is what it takes to move this noble commission of bequeathing unborn generations of Igbos a befitting country to call home, to a positive conclusion 3. Ndiigbo must not become what we despise, ie Unity beggars. 4. In national building, it's not the size of sea coasts that matters. It's the size of available human resources as well as the availability of visionary and altruistic leadership to steer it to purpose that matters. 5. Biafra is not about hate for non Igbos (aka Nigerians) its about Igbo wish to rule our destiny and not have to bend to whims and caprices of alien groups and subsequently get weighed down in the process. We are not saying we are superior to other groups. We are just saying we believe that we are better of without Nigerians. 6. Biafra is beyond IPOB and MNK, just as it proved beyond Ojukwu. Anyone measuring BIAFRA with MNK and IPOB actions or inactions is shortsighted. BIAFRA is the heartbeat of Igbo nationalism and every Igbo man is a king and hence, in every Igbo man is a Biafran leader. 7. It doesn't matter what you (Nigerians) do or don't do. Biafra is beyond you and your little hate, envy, emotions or whatever. Biafra WILL come. Know this and know peace. |
Casham:Don't be delusional. There was/is nothing great about NIGERIA. It is a colonial abomination cobbled together by British for sole aim of exploitation of its inhabitants and named at the throes of ejaculatory passion by a British colonial thief during a romp with his girlfriend. Nigeria is a disgrace. A Frankenstein monster of a country, an anomaly that shouldn't exist. |
Chigator:Words on mable. |
MalcoImX:What are you on about? ![]() Igbo ukwu artifacts belongs to Igbo people because the people were able to identify their uses and even one of them had the "Ichi" scarification mark on it. Igbo as ethnicity the way we see it today is a political organization. But that doesn't mean there was not an "Igbo" identity before Europeans came on board. The igbo concept is understood by ancient Igbo as a name to call their neighbors who speak similar dialects but not themselves. I call my self "Onye Ogidi" and call an Awka man that ventures into Ogidi "Onye Igbo". When I leave Ogidi and get to Awka, Awka people will call me "Onye Igbo" while calling themselves "Ndi Awka". But if someone whose dialect is not Igbo comes to Awka, they would never call such person "Onye Igbo", because they understand the Igbo concept as someone speaking a related dialect to their own Awka dialect. Olauda Equiano book is probably the oldest book on Igbo people and he identified himself and his people as Igbos. |
Monogamy:It is none of your business how regions that want out of Nigeria would fare outside NIGERIA. You can't be crying more than the bereaved. |
Shokoloko:Lol! Which one is Anambra-ukwu? ![]() That's clownish. The artifacts was found in a town called Igbo-ukwu, were you expecting them to name it "Ogbomosho" artifacts" ? ![]() |
MalcoImX:Igbo ukwu artifacts belongs to the Igbo. How did we know? Because all the ancient artifacts found there, the Igbo natives were able to tell it's use in the past. Igbo ukwu artifacts even have "Ichi" Igbo marks on their faces. As for how old the word Igbo is. It's as old as the Igbo people. In Igboland, you identify by your clan name while the next clan is called "Igbo". It doesn't mean you are not Igbo, it just means you can not be Igbo in your own native land. You are only Igbo outside your own native land. And you are not serious on the bold. You are not Igbo and obviously in no way equipped for this conversation. I'd advise you stay in your own lane. |
MajorLeaguePlay:And what does it matter that Nigerians have foreign journalists? The job of our foreign based journalists would be to present the truth to the world, so that the world can compare the truth with the lies yours will churn out. The idea is to make sure you don't have Monopoly on the foreign story lines. Simple! Ndiigbo want nothing to do with you Nigerians, stay on your lane and stop forcing your Useless unity on us. |
theFilmtric:My brothers are in millions in North America and Europe too. As well as in remote African countries like Mozambique. So what then? We should unite Igboland with those countries because Igbos are resident in those places? Your logic is flawed. There is no together between Ndiigbo and Nigerians. |
theFilmtric:No Igbo is solving any shit with you. And as long as you hold tight to us, we will haul you with every toxicity and weapons in our Arsenal until your leprous hands are amputated from our assault and we are finally free. See, the labours of our millions of Igbo heroes buried in Biafra MUST not be in vain. This struggle will only increase so much in intensity that a time would come when you would begging us to leave. Only parasites force unity. |

mrfreestuff:Since when has rejecting to share a useless failed country with other people an expression of hate? So if someone says they don't want to share a space with you it means they hate you? You are not alright. You all suffer from chronic low self-esteem. If a people/person don't want to stay with you, you free them. Period! You can't force unity on a people by killing millions of their kind and expect them to willing accept unity with you. Only a people suffering from Stockholm syndrome would accept such. Hear this and hear it carefully. Never in this world or in the next will Ndiigbo accept Nigeria. And as long as you continue to force us to remain in the dead good for nothing country, be prepared to have us give it all our best to do everything we can within our means to wriggle free of your evil grip on us. You can call it hate if you like, but we call it freedom fight in Igboland. Nigeria is femi Oke country, good for her and her Yoruba people, they have every reason to Love NIGERIA and defend her, Ndiigbo will not stop her, as long as she and her Yoruba people understand too that Biafra is Igbo man country that the Igbo owe the millions of our heroes buried in Biafra as a result of aggression from Nigeria, the debt of defending and fighting by all means to bring Biafra to life. She and her Yoruba people should leave those who wants no part of NIGERIA defend their own homeland (Igboland), alone. Nonsense! |
RobbStark:The names were changed after the war to survive your Ghanaian Ijaws from Bayelsa onslaught on them. But the language remained. When the Hausa-Fulanis who gave you wings are put where they belong, which is in Sahel. The names of Opobo people will change back to Igbo it has always been. Like I told you. Two can play that game. |
RobbStark:Opobo has maintained their Igbo language despite barrages of Ijaw assault to Ijawnize the area since 1968. Think about this for once! Once Nigeria fails, and the Ijaw protectors ( Hausa-Fulani) according to Boro and Harold are confined within the Sahel. Ndiigbo will revisit the Opobo issue. We know what Boro and Dappa Harold did in Opobo and two can play that same game. |
SlayerForever:He is not on any fence. He is very Igbophobic in nature. |
KingOKON:Still writing out of point. Eyo Ita was leader of the region before he lost out. How exactly was Zik responsible for Eyo Ita loss? You couldn't explain this, you are busy jumping all over like a certain primate. Who was Udo udoma?and how exactly was Zik the reason he couldn't make? Was Attorney General Zik's person property to give away or withhold? The Eastern region lasted for just 6yrs under Igbo rule in independent NIGERIA, are you aware? Not even up to two tenures of a Nigerian modern day governor? How was all the posts supposed to go around to everyone within that short interval or you are just being mischievous like your parents including Eyo Ita himself whose lies against Ndiigbo were exposed as empty and vacuous lies at Willink report? |
KingOKON:Stay on topic man. We are talking about Eyo Ita here. Don't think I would let you off the hook easily. What dirty politics did Zik play on Eyo Ita and minorities? |

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2009/12/12/the-north-built-on-mistakes-of-the-south-%e2%80%94-mbu/ Q: You talk about these our fathers, leaders of Nigeria at independence and some insist that they created the foundations for the type of country that we have today – tribalism, for example and the events in the Western House of Assembly. Some say Azikiwe was merely outplayed, politically and others say….? A: No! You are not really…Permit me to interrupt you; you were not there. Zik won all, the majority, in the Western region. It was when he went to the East, that this notorious question, this notorious carpet-crossing, for the first time in our history was enacted on the floor of the Western House of Assembly. Before then, we never knew about carpet-crossing. Those who won on the platform of the NCNC were suddenly bought over by the Action Group. Q: But in an earlier interview with Pa Ayo Adebanjo, I was told that it was at the point when they said members of the different parties should move and sit separately, that it became obvious that AG members were more?[/b] A: He would say so. What do you expect from him, he’s AG; he’s partisan. AG top notch! Q:It would be difficult for people not to say you are also being partisan, being of the NCNC? The AG introduced, for the first time in our history, carpet crossing; I didn’t know about it. I wish the late Adelabu (PENKELEMSS) were alive. The leader of our movement in Ibadan, I wish he was alive, he would have told you what happened; he would have told you the drama that happened on the floor of the Western House of Assembly; the debacle, as he put it, the debacle of western election, so don’t tell me anything that I don’t know. A:I know you know that’s why I’m asking you. For Nigerians who do not have a recollection of the events of that era and who talk about tribalism, they would want the records set straight. Some even say had Zik stayed back, may be he would have fought it? And some even say that from that moment onwards, Nigeria lost it? Yes, we lost it from that moment onwards. That was crude tribalism on display. That’s all. What else could it be that somebody of Eastern origin should come and control a region that belongs to the westerners? That was a clear display of tribalism, crude and that was when Nigeria lost it, the true sense of nationalism. Yes! AG, NCNC, that I belonged to, were at opposing ends on true nationalism and nothing else. NCNC till tomorrow remains a nationalist party, one Nigeria, one people, one destiny. AG believed in one Yoruba, one nation, one Oduduwa. Q: When you look at the way some people accuse the North of holding unto power without wanting to let go, and the philosophy of Awolowo that before you can claim to be a Nigerian, you would have to first be either an Igbo, a Yoruba or Hausa? A: Chief Awolowo never pretended and I have a lot of respect for him. He never for once pretended that he was a true nationalist. He was a true Yoruba leader – simplicita. And he never in any way felt ashamed about it. Yoruba for Yoruba, Hausa for Hausa and Igbo for Igbo – that was the way he felt and he never flinched. The North learned a lot from the mistakes of the South and the way the tribal politics was being played, the North elevated it to another level. They reasoned that if tribalism was to become the name of the game, then they were ready to move it to the next level – the North for the North. The Sardauna would always say, ‘we of the North’, and he never pretended. His great grand father, Uthman Dan Fodio, was a conqueror of a greater community and why should he go for anything less. He, therefore, settled for a bigger North. Q: Could you please give examples of what the North learned from the South? The North went and excelled in everything we did. We introduced thuggery, Michael Okpara called them party stalwarts in East, but they were thugs. Then the North recreated it, took it to another level: Why did we bring in the native police? They were uncompromising in the North. A: There in the North, if you were not of the Northern Peoples Congress, NPC, they would tell you, don’t cross, if you did they would kill you – and they meant it. Their own thuggery was worse and they took it to a level that was something else. So the only way to curb the excesses of the native police was to integrate them into the Nigeria Police Force, to train them, to shed them of the crude and excessive extra-legal powers. Not only that, you went to the native courts as a southerner, the Alkali courts. A case was on, the judge was chewing his gworo and he slept off while the case was on, then he woke up and asked, ‘yes, what do you have to say; nothing. Okay go to jail for six months’. Meanwhile he had been sleeping all along-o. If you tried to argue you’re in trouble. ‘If you said anything there I’ll give you another six months; okay another six months, go’. Very crude! The North moved from one extremity to the other extremity and that’s where we are. Q: Back to NCNC, Zik and the East: What was done to NCNC and Zik in the West, Zik was not magnanimous too, when he went back to the East? A: I do not think that you were born to understand the politics of those days. Q:We read? A: It depends on what you have been reading and by whom? Look, the East was so democratic to a point where when the Onitsha issue came up, although a lot of it engendered by the opposition, led by the late chief justice of the East, Sir Louis Mbanefo, Onitsha market issue, there was a demonstration by the Onitsha people against the premiership of Zik, an Onitsha man, and I saw the father and I asked him: ‘Papa, you joined the delegation, too, to denounce the premier’? You know what he said to me in response? He said: ‘He’s not one of us, being an Onitsha man, he should not oppose us’. That was the extent to which the people in the East understood democratic principles. Q: But an Efik was not allowed to lead in the East? A: What was the problem of the Efik? They split. You were not born yet; you needed to be around with us then to understand what happened. UNIP was a splinter of the NCNC and they were to topple the leadership of the NCNC. UNIP was within the NCNC, led by, more or less, English trained graduates, leadership. They were looking up on themselves as better educated than American trained graduates, led by Zik, Orizu, Mbadiwe and co – that is the truth. And who were the other groups? Graduates, Nwapa, Cambridge, make no mistake about it; Njoku, Manchester, London educated; my country man, Okoi Arikpo, London educated – London School of Economics; Ozoma; even Ita himself, having gotten his MA from Columbia University in the United States of America, came back and repeated the London MA so he used to be referred to as Prof. Eyo Ita, MA Columbia, MA London. They felt they were more educated and, therefore, a better bred to lead the new dispensation in the East; not this ill-bred American educated fellows from schools they did not recognize. A: But Eyo Ita? A: My friend, he was opposition, when you split against the leadership, then you are already taking up arms against the party. Must there be two premiers? It was Zik, in fact, who named him Prof. Don’t tell me what you did not witness |
Abagworo:Abagworo, how far? Has Buhari placed your dead country on right track now? ![]() |
Abagworo: ![]() |
KingOKON:Don't be mad. What dirty politics exactly. Eyo Ita saga had been addressed on this forum many times before. If you lack information, you kindly ask and not bring your beer parlour gist to a public forum. |
KingOKON:So you mean it was Zik and not the British who created the warrant chiefs in the whole Eastern region including Igboland? See let me tell you something. You cannot build true unity by uniting yourselves behind lies built on dressing Ndiigbo up as devils who are out to harm all of you. Such lies can only travel so far before it comes crumbling. The only Obi we have in Igboland is Obi Onitsha, and the Obis of Nnewi villages. Obi of Onitsha was not a colonial creation. See, you minorities must take your time o! |
IjapaTiroko:Lol! Awolowo imprisonment was as a result of the alliance between between NNDP led by Akintola and NPC led by Saraduna/Belewa. The alliance was called NNA alliance. NCNC was into an alliance called UPGA with AG and UMBC. These were all in 1964 federal elections. So I wonder who was in alliance with the North before the war between the East and the North. Awolowo was in prison not just for "treasonable felony" having been found guilty of plotting a civilian coup, but for financial misappropriation. He was found to have used western region funds to finance AG party activities. He wasn't innocent. He was witch hunted yes! But he wasn't innocent of the crimes pinned on him either. Of course you know who bombed the Casino Cinema, and it couldn't have been Igbo! ![]() In Ojukwu discussion with Awolowo before the war, Awolowo made it clear that he and Yoruba land couldn't secede because their region was under the occupation of the Northern Military. It's common sense. An Enemy camped in Yorubaland and from there import Military weapons to bomb Igboland and entire Biafra. Awolowo and Yorubas claimed to be defenseless against this enemy and hence couldn't chase them off themselves. In this case, the only logical process was to allow Biafrans chase this enemy out so that they Don't Lunch attack on East from Yoruba ports and Land again. But again you resisted us from doing that. Which means you were in alliance with this enemy! You can't habour in your house, an Enemy that is throwing bomb at my house by claiming that he is too powerful for you to chase away but at same time join the enemies to resist my attempt to help you chase away this enemy while you lay claim to neutrality in the whole saga! Nope! You were not neutral. Lagos couldn't have been neutral when Gowon and entire fleets of NIGERIAN miliary were camped and plotted evil towards Igboland from there. |
