Back to the drawing board.

Omoku people are more related to PH people, so I don't see why you will lump PH people with non-Igboids, all in an attempt to ensure that Igboids in PH are not in control of their destinity.

This is obviously an attempt to make Igboids in the proposed Rivers state, a super minority group there. The Igboids of Rivers must not agree to this.

Once ONELGA, Omuma, Oyigbo are excised from Rivers state, the remaining Igboids automatically turn to minorities in Rivers state.

But I doubt this proposal comes from government anyway.
Please we shouldn't be crying for Ikwerre people.
They deserve to be with Ijaws, we should care less about PH.
If Omoku (Ogba people)wants they should also be re-added to Rivers State to stay with their fellow Igbo hating Ijaws and Ikwerres.
Orashi State can be Ndoni, Egbema, Oguta and parts of Ndokwa East.
If the Ika wants they can be re-added to Edo state. While Enuani can be bolstered by adding Ogbaru LGA to it to make up for Ika loss.

No Time.

40million people choked in a 29ksq and 7 million in 17ksq.. I still say Edo state is almost as big..
There is no choking in SE.
On the contrary we have many free lush greenery spaces, which is why herdsmen want to die on top our forests.

Edo is sparsely populated because your ancestors engaged too much in invasion of neighbors through wars. Wars we know cost lives and worst still, you had a human sacrifice culture too.
Too many internal civil wars caused by Oba succession by his numerous princes also took lots of lives in Edoland.
The End result is a sparse minority population currently on aggressive expansionist drive to claim non related neighbors who don't speak Edoid language as part of Edoland in desperate attempt to swell your population and be regarded as a majority.

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria yet accommodates up to 20million people.
Yet even in Lagos you still find free spaces.

SE is 5 times bigger than Lagos and with about 2twice the population.
Common sense should tell you that we have lots of empty forests. Especially when we had since imbibed the habit of building upstairs. And not waste lands building BUNGALOWS.

Below is an aerial view surroundings of Abriba town, an Igbo town in Abia State. Notice the lush green surroundings.

Yeah, There is a Difference..

The South East Igbos are the Traditional Igbos..D ones we know are Business-minded n scatter in Nigerian towns n cities..They come from Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia and Anambra..

But some are close to Benue(Idoma areas) and Cross River..Diz ones are still Igbos!!

But Ikas in Delta have a language n culture of their own, same as d Ndokwas,, dats y dey don't want to be cald 'Delta Igbo' or Igbo..

However, in d same Delta State, D Aniocha/Oshimili group sometimes identify demselves as Igbos because dier areas are closer to Onitsha, Anambra state n dier language is almost d same as d Main Igbo!!..(Funny enough, some don't e.g JayJay Okocha n Okonjo-Iweala)..

The area Where Nzeogwu who killed Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, etc came from is Okpanam n is in Asaba axis..Pple then said an Igboman killed Hausa politicians..

So, you see dat it's Quite Confusing n Complicated!!

Am not from Rivers State, so cannot say much on Ikwerre..
This is so wrong and ignorance induced in many levels.
Ika and Ndokwa has no distinct language of theirs.
Their language is only a dialect of Igbolanguage.
Even in SE we have sub groups bigger than Ika, Ndokwa and each have their own unique dialect of Igbolanguage and certain Unique culture of their own too.

What makes Ndokwa and Ika non Igbo is not their language or culture, because they are both Igbo.
What makes them non Igbo is their mindset and their decision not to be Igbo post civil war.
Nothing more and nothing less.
Oshimili/Aniocha don't sometimes identity themselves as Igbo, they most times identify themselves with Igbo, and it's not just because they share boundaries with SE, afterall Ndokwa share boundaries with SE as well.
But because of the people mindset. They were not broken by the civil war, so retained their Igbo identity.

There is nothing like main Igbo. Infact the first place called Igbo by the whites was in today Delta State in Aboh Ndokwa.

Enuani is similar to Idemili/Onicha dialect

Ndokwa is similar to Oguta/Ogbaru dialect.

Ika is a like a hybrid of Owerri and Nsukka dialects

Ika is not Igbo. Ikwerre is not Igbo too.
Ndoni is currently divided on their Igbo identity.

Okowa will contest when it's time for SS presidency. He would do so after he must have outcompeted Isoko, Urhobo, Ijaw,Ibibiod, Efik,Edo,etc candidates.
Same is applicable to Ikwerre.

We are speaking of SE presidency and since SE is dominantly atleast 99% IGBO is also same as Igbo presidency.
Which means that we Igbos in SE can choose to have a fellow Igbos from SS to represent us if we think there are better sellable candidates there.
Unfortunately, Ika and Ikwerre are not Igbos, so are not included.

Igbos are individualistic yet we seem to act in unison even in our individual mindsets, because a typical Igbo puts the interest of Igboland ahead of selfish ones.

You are very selfish person who puts your own interests ahead of those Igboland.
No one forced you to invest in the North and Yorubaland or Igbophobic parts of SS.

Ndiigbo have been preaching the message of Aku luo uno for the past decade but greedy and selfish ones among us who are more interested in ROI than in building Igboland have continued to invest heavily in the North and SW and then you wish the rest of us would stay in Nigeria so that your investments up there would be presevered?

You are a joker. You and your ilks have but one vote and are in minute minority. You can have you say , but the rest of Igbos not driven by selfish agenda want Biafra and we would have our way in the end.

If you know what is good for, better start investing in Igboland today, so that when all those things you have in SW and North and Igbophobic SS goes up in smoke, you can have something to rely on.

I'm currently not in Igboland too, but I'm investing in Igboland for rainy days. No one else would develop Igboland but Ndiigbo.

Iyi= Stream/river
Odoko Mmili/ Eju= lakes/ponds/puddles

Oshimili/Orimili/Osimili= Big River

Since when did Igbo mean land in the Igbo language? Since when did miri stop being water in the Igbo language that Oru is now the word for water?

Biko, learn your language well before you talk in public.

There are only 3 ethnic groups in Nigeria that are Oru, none of them are closely related to the Igbo.

I have been saying it, if we claim our ancestral land and the Annnang/ Ibibio and Igala do the same, the Igbo would be in IDP camps.

You claim Opobo people are Igbo because of Jaja, Jaja's name is Ijaw, he lived in another Ijaw community before moving to another Ijaw community. Yet you insist Ndoki couldn't have come from elsewhere because the person who heads their clan is called Eze Nwankwo but Opobo's monarch goes by traditional title, amayanabo and yet you Igbos spurious claims.
Olu/Oru means riverine dwellers in Igbo. Deal with it.
We called riverine dwelling brothers Olu/Oru and they called us Igbo, meaning land/forest dwellers.

Opobo was not an Ijaw community. It was an Ibibiod territory which Jaja took from them and resettled his subjects which included Igbos and Ijaws in.
There was no Ijaw man on the Island before Jaja arrival.

King in Ijaw realms are called Pere. King in Opobo town are called Eze! Amanyanabo is but a title which could always be borrowed.

I don’t know who the OP (original poster) is, so I won’t offer up any opinions on them per se. But it’s possible you mean OP as in “original post” (the post itself). In that case, I can say a few things about it.

To begin with, I can’t say I disagree with the writer’s premise. Anyone who casually examines the ethno-linguistic history and traditions of origin in the area will find it near impossible to claim beyond a doubt that Ndoki and Bonny don’t have ancestral, non-slave, Igbo-speaking origins. So that part is agreeable. It’s just that a lot of what the writer says to support the premise in this write up is questionable.
Ok. I agree with you on this.

Truthfully, I think the original post is rather “Ijaw-phobic”, if I can use that term. The writing is so heavily anti-Ijaw that it ends up discrediting itself at times. If you dig even a little, the write up shows a lot of inconsistencies and even some outright wrong things.
The writer was debunking Ijaw rabidly Igbophobic narratives on Bonny so naturally should appear Ijawphobic too, since he is writing to discredit Ijaw falsehoods.

If this is limited to the Umueze clan, then I can understand where the writer may be coming from. One of the oral traditions in Umueze claims a long-winding history of migration from Benin or Central Delta, entering “Igboland” from the south and then cutting northeast towards Oguta, etc. However, Umueze has never claimed Oguta as its homeland. Even before this “Ijaw vs Igbo” saga started, the Umueze never mentioned Oguta as ancestral homeland. It’s always been either Benin or Central Delta Ijaw. The writer could possibly be making a supposition here that Ndoki (Umueze) are part of that set of Ndoni-Abo-Oguta communities near the Central Delta. It’s not a bad supposition. However it is not a claim that has ever been made by Ndoki people, not even in early intelligence reports.
Now this is my problem with you. In your bid to appear unbiased to neutrals you often derail into Igbophobic realms. There is never any part of Ndoki history that made mention of the people migrating from Central Delta Ijaw like you claimed. The Central Delta Ijaw Kolukuma claims has it's origin in Alagoa fabricated post civil war stories.
OP rationally deduced like many Ndoki people are currently doing that Ndoki people are probably of Oru Igbo stock as it's mostly Oru Igbos that have Benin origin stories and their migratory trail from a west to East direction makes sense when pinpointed to Oguta and surrounding Oru Igbos.

Now, if the writer is not limiting this to Umueze and is instead referring to all of Ndoki, then this would simply be wrong. Ndoki is not from Oguta. Their traditions do not trace them to Oguta.
I don't know about Oguta history of Ndoki, but I Know damn well that Ndoki has no precolonial history of originating from Central Delta Ijaw like you falsely claimed. That was Alagoa fabricated story that had been allowed to fester over the decades post civil war.

The writer got this wrong and ended up confusion themselves in the process. It is actually the ethnonym “Ogoni” (and not Ibani) that refers to a “guest” or a “stranger”, derived from the Ijaw word “igoni”.
I will look into this later.

There is nothing like an " Oru Igbo". You can't be an Oru and an Igbo at the same time. The Igbo claim to be Jews from the Middle east which has no connection to the Oru, one of Africa's oldest groups.

The Orus fall under 3 ethnic groups in Nigeria and Igbo is NOT one of them.

Your ethnic group ( Igbo, Ibo) was named by the Oru people. To attach Igbo and Oru in the same sentence is an insult to the Orus.

Alagoa did not reverse any history. The fact that he connected Ndoki to Benin can tell you he knows the exact families they belong to.

If all the ethnic groups whose lands are occupied by the Igbos through the activities of people like Azikiwe and Aguiyi-Ironsi reclaim their lands, the Igbo would be forced out of Nigeria.

To start with, Ubani is the abbreviation of a compound word. There is no ethnic group called Ubani.

George Washington, America's first president has a city named after him. His family had slaves who answered Washington as their surname. The name Washington did become the name of an ethnic group or tribe. Neither do you define the Washington family by their slaves.

Ijaw people can't be defined by Igbos, your understanding of how governance operates is very limited. That is why you cannot comprehend the Ijaw system with the Amayanabo as monarch.

You Igbos couldn't even organize yourselves at the very basic level. It was the Europeans who had to create the "warrant chief" system for you Igbos. I can understand why you made reference to the Ijaw system as feudal. To start with, the use of the word feudal within this context makes no sense.
You say what?
Oru/Olu is the riverine part of Igboland.
The Ogbaru, Ndoni, Ogba,Oguta Parts of Anambra west LGA, even Ndokwa are all called Oru/Olu in Igbo meaning riverine brothers.

In Igbo we have a saying: "Olu na Igbo", which literally translates to the "water and the land ", which eventually means"the whole world".

Ndoki a clan whose head is called Eze NWANKWO can not have originated from anywhere else.
