If by vex you mean: the annoyance associated with talking to people whose intellect is extremely low, then yes.
You are struggling to deal with the fact that Bini kingdom was over exaggerated and in no way as strong as Igbo towns west (Enuani) and East of the River Niger who offered stiffer resistance to colonial British than Bini could.

is @sufferingboy denying that they are Bini subjects? Bini is taking back Ika, one town after the other. First, they Isolate you to take a unique ethnicity like they are doing to the Agbor and Igbanke people, then they absorb you. They take them piece by piece, town by town.
Today, Agbor people are claiming that Ika is a fraud, Igbanke is claiming a distinct identity.
The Igbanke I'm seeing is gone.
All the Bini needs to keep them is to give them more political posts in Bini and Oba palace.
The people are dying to be Bini and are only seeking for Delta state because they feel badly treated by their Edo masters.
It's a practical case of Stockholm syndrome. cheesy

I watch them deliberate on these issues on their forums and I would just be shaking my head. grin

That is exactly what is called conquest in the context of Nigerian history. Let me give you the most recent example with written down history in Nigeria. The Hausa people were defeated, and all their kings till today are Fulani. All the Hube stool of power is currently Fulani. If this did not happen in recent history and a written down documentation, The Fulani would have pinned the narrative that Hausa are Fulani people. However, it is only the royal stool that is Fulani. Either way, all Hausas territory belongs to the Fulani royalty, but you cannot change the language.
In your case, there is no documentation or written down history. That is why people ask logical questions. How come the founder of your land came into an Empty land and magically forgot his language and name but turned around to speak a language that is kilometres away?
This is no fault of anyone, though, but the implicit disadvantage of oral history.

Regarding my Ijaw statement. I am not saying you have boundaries with Ijaw or you are Ijaw. I meant that the Benin political movement's focus is currently in Rivers and Bayelsa state, where they are fighting the Ijaw expansionist movement to take over the Edoid groups. IYC has currently taken minority groups like Engenni and many others in that state that speak an Edoid language.
You guys do not know that there is a game that Ijaw and Edo groups are playing through their various ethnopolitical movements. The price is the allegiance and soul of minority groups and also parts of majority groups.

Regarding the Igbo controversy, I believe you should be happy now; the Igbos from the South-East especially reject Ika people being tagged Igbo. The movement is becoming even stronger each day. This will further cement your status as a different ethnic group. However, Ika will ultimately lose any support from a big ethnic group like the Igbos and if the political landscape changes, Bini might not have the numbers to influence much.
However, to your credit, I feel your people know when to wear the Igbo, Ika or Bini badge to favour them, but this game may not last too long in this internet age.
That's the point of my campaign.
Ndiigbo have to understand that these people are nothing but opportunists who have nothing to offer Ndiigbo.
We must make it impossible for an Ika to be able to claim Igbo for opportunist reasons. We must solidify the distinction between us and these Bini subjects and make it impossible for any of them to claim Igbo without getting publicly disgraced by Ndiigbo. cool

I can never deny the fact that some of us have benin ancestors, but we are not their subject.
E go soon clear for their eye.Unlike before,we now have so many wealthy and powerful Ikas both in and outside Nigeria.
Benins know their days are numbered. We Ikas are having more influence and wealth more than them now.
You are Bini subjects.
What happened in Ikaland is same as in Hausaland. It's same thing that happened in Ilorin.

The only difference is that origin of the conquered people were distorted in Ika to give the people a sense of belonging by their Bini kings, while in case of Hause and Ilorin, the conquering Fulani kings maintained the history of the people they conquered.
So we know that Ilorin natives are actually Yoruba natives with few Fulani and Hausas who came with the conquering Fulani kings as foot soldiers. In the case of Hausa, we know the Hausas are Hausa while their kings are Fulanis.

In case of Ika, the people origin was distorted to become the same as that of their conquering Edo kings with their foot soldiers who assimilated as indigenes.
This is why the origin stories of Ika became irrational as you struggle to explain away the Igboid language being the native language of a people who supposedly originated from Bini and live next door to Edo state.
The guy you are replying got it right.

Ika was conquered by Bini. grin Its the only rational explanation.

Keep quiet,if you conduct a survey today, over 95% of our people in edo want to be added to delta state. They have been crying for so long.
You don't know what you are talking about. I'm a member of Igbanke National Progressive Forum, the one led by Gloria Adagbon, I also belong to their WhatsApp group where I don't comment but monitor their deliberations silently.

Gloria and all Igbanke elites are leading a campaign to declare Igbanke a distinct ethnicity from Ika, much more like Ndoni though Ndokwa people are now a distinct group and no longer identify as Ndokwa even though they were carved out from Ndokwa part of Bendel in 1975 and added to Rivers state by Mammar Nasir boundary adjustment committee.

The narrative gaining ground in Igabnke today is that Igbanke is an independent ethnic group and not an appendage to Ika who are in Delta.

I have seen them discuss on their history too. And the overriding agreement on the forum is that they are Bini people who were influenced by Igbo migrants in their midst to become Igbo speaking.
Only one man by the name "Nwajei" in the group tried to offer resistance to the Bini theory, insisting they had same ancestors as Igbos, but saw his voice drowned out by the majority of the people in that group who believe they are descendants of Bini princes. grin

You seem to underestimate the gravity of changes taking place in Igbanke. The only reason the people craved to be added to Delta in the past was because the Edo state government seem to have marginalized the place. But Edo state government has recently started doing project in Igbanke and the people are beginning to get political posts in their LGA and state government and hence are beginning to feel at home in Edo state.

The Igbanke are a people suffering from Stockholm syndrome and under Bini spell who wants to be treated as Binis by Binis but discovered that Bini people wouldn't accept them unless they deIgbonized themselves (do away with Igbo names and language). Their move to rejoin Delta is more like a soft pressure on Bini to accept them the way they are, not because they actually want to leave Bini. The people are proud of their distorted Bini origin and truly see themselves as Bini. Why should they want to leave Bini control?

No need for selected screenshots messages of IPOB members in Onu Ika page with fake accounts claiming to be Ika to make pro Igbo statements there.

Onu Ika is a public forum, anyone can access the contents there without being a member. I'm no longer a member there, but still access their content.
Let me go and search for the Dorathy BBN thread there and post the link here, so that every one can see how Igbo phobic those lots are.

Ndiigbo must start telling ourselves the bitter truth about these minorities. Only the truth would help us going forward.

Can you show me the earliest written documents in pre -colonial or post colonial time showing the name of a group a "Eka". There are many documents those leaders in Agbor brought forward as evidence to this claim. Now tell me, why are Agbor people rejecting the IKA claim as their language or people? Why such aggressiveness?
Be truthful- Secondly, can you provide any document showing your name to be "Eka"? What does Eka mean in Benin language? Let us be even logical.

Here are full support from Agbor people supporting my claim. Why is there so much anti-Ika identity within Agbor, which is supposed to be the largest group?

It seems it is like the smaller villages that are pushing for the acronym so bad.
CC: Igboid, Fejoku
I'm very much aware of their internal confusion within Ika. I have been a member of Onu Ika for years before I became a regular visitor after the Igbo phobic majority there threw me out from the group.
The Agbor man believes he is Agbor and that there is no ethnic group called Ika. He believes other Ika towns were all extensions of people who left Agbor to establish those places. The Obi or is it dein of Agbor once released a public statement where he encouraged his Agbor people to stop giving their children Igbo and wait for it, IKA names.
People were all over the net talking about the Dein telling Agbor people to stop bearing Igbo names that they all missed out on the big Elephant in the room, which is the fact that the Dein also warned the people against bearing IKA names.

The Agbor suffers from Bini Stockholm syndrome. But somehow they want other Ika towns not to claim to have migrated from Bini too, but to claim to have migrated from Agbor. grin

They don't think that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.
Why should other Ika towns claim Agbor origin, so that Agbor can claim Bini origin, when the Ika towns can claim direct origin from Bini themselves? grin

Those lots are confused lots, and sincerely speaking, left for me , they should not be Part of Biafra as they have nothing to offer us but their Bini contaminated and confused selves. We don't need Ika. I'm yet to see any IPOB member convince me on the merits of addition of such confused people into Biafra.

Celebrities › Re: Burna Boy Is Ijaw Not Yoruba by Igboid: 3:01pm On Mar 29, 2021
Burna boy is Engenni. Engenni are Edoid speakers found in Ahoada West LGA with Ekpeye people(Igboid speakers), who they share the LGA with.

Engenni people suffer from identity crisis instigated by INC and IYC.

Engenni should be an independent ethnic group or if at all they want to join a bigger ethnic group, they should be joining Bini, seeing as the people have a history of origin from Bini.

See Engenni language here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engenni_language
Its not an Ijaw language. It's an Edoid language closely related to Isoko, Urhobo and Bini languages.

Engenni youths only joined Ijaw franchise because of the oil protection contract that IYC and INC were in control of and used to lure them to join political Ijaw, even when their language is obviously Edo.

Here is Obolo language classification. Tell me how Obolo people who obviously speak Ibibiod language are Ijaw?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obolo_language

See Ibibio language. Its same classification as Obolo:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibibio_language

See Ogbia language:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogbia_language

Notice its a Cross River language. Ibibio, Obolo, Andoni(Western Obolo), Odual, Abua, and Ogbia are basically same people sharing ancient ancestor.
GEJ is more of an Ibibio man than an Ijaw man. The only reason Ogbia is politically Ijaw is because Ibibios have refused to outgrow their petty squabbles and take up their role as the dominant group in SS.
You Ijaws are only claiming Eastern Obolo, Ibeno and Oron today because Ibibios stayed docile and allowed you claim those Ibibiod groups in Rivers state and Bayelsa.

This is Engenni, Burna boy tribe:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engenni_language

They are proto Edo people and speak Edoid language. They are distant cousins to Urhobo and Isoko and have a history of migration from Bini. This is not same as Ikwerre and other Igboid speakers claiming Bini, or obviously Ijoid speaking Nembe claiming Bini origin.

Engenni are Edo people. But today Ijaw man is claiming Engenni and have succeeded in using their INC and IYC operatives to buy over the grassroots there. Though the GBD are fighting back now.

See Degema. Degema originally belong to Edoid tribe called Udekeme who inhabited the land before few Ijaw people settled with them.

The Udekemes remain Edoid speakers today, but Ijaws have succeeded in Ijawnizing the people there. Though GBD are making a fight back there too.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degema_language

Bayelsa capital Yenegoa belongs to Epie-Atissa people, and these people are not Ijaws. They are Edoids who are more related to Isoko and Urhobo and they have a history of migration from Bini. Until recently, an Epie man would vehemently fight you if you called him Ijaw, because his language is obviously Edoid and he has a history of migration from Bini to prove it.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epie_language

The Odual people are also proto Ibibio people too. They speak Ibibiod Language classified as Cross river language.
Yet INC and IYC have used their agents to confuse the grassroots there and today, Odual is politically Ijaw, even when their people speak a language that is obviously an extension of Ibibio.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odual_language

What about Abua? Those are proto Ibibio people too. But who are today politically Ijaw, no thanks to Ibibios lacking political synergy.

Twitter is too elitist. While I will like to have Igbo elites take the issue of encroachment of aggressive minorities like Ijaw, Edo and Igala into Igboland serious, I would prefer a better grassroot platform where you are more likely to find the commoners, because the IYC and INC, GBD, we are up against are not twitter oriented. They target the commoners, the grassroots. They infiltrate Facebook pages of these groups spreading distorted origin stories, they even visits the villages of these groups to hold meetings with the youths and few hungry traditional leaders there who they could win over with money.
This is very much a grassroot something than elitists thing.

But I understand your point, the elites still have a role to play, so yes, I will try to raise it up in Twitter.

Even Oron and Ibeno? wow! these Ibiboid/Efiks people are not organised at all... It seems the IYC expansion is all about oil... That is why they scream our oyel our oyel in any conversation. They think others are like them. How could one go as far as Obolo and Oron. Na the Oron and Ibeno shock me... It is no longer about numbers and influence alone, It is now about oil. At least on the Bini expansion side, you could see they also go for their Edoid groups aside from biting off from subgroups under the major ethnic groups (Igbo and Yoruba) but Ijaw's expansion seem to be about oil and numbers. It was when the IYC started hunting for Egbema in Imo state (an oil-producing community) that their objective became obvious)
N:B; Coming to think of it, the Bini expansion is also about oil too... I can see a pattern.
What many don't know is that GEJ was more of an Ibibio man than Ijaw man.

Ogbia , GEJ ethnic group are related to Ibibio. Their language is Ibibiod and they should be part of Ibibio ethnicity or at least be acknowledged as an affiliated group politically to Ibibio like Itsekiri is to Yorubas. But Ibibios are so disunited that are too pre occupied with their inter clan squabbles (Efik, Annang, Oron refusing the proper Ibibio tag) that the expansionist Ijaws had moved in and claimed Ogbia, even when there is no link whatsoever between Ogbia language and Ijaw language.

Problem with Ibibio docility in Ogbia is that it has emboldened Ijaws who are now moving in on Ibeno, Andoni, Eastern Obolo and even Oron.

Yes, they are on the hunt for Egbema Rivers too, but met the same setback they are meeting in Ndoki, because majority of Egbema people are in IMO state and hence kept those in Rivers well immune from IYC and INC expansionist agenda.

The Edos are expansionists themselves and in them, Ijaw have met their type.
Ijaw thinking they have consolidated on Edo communities in Bayelsa and Rivers, namely Udekeme(Degema), Engenni(Burna boy clan) and Epie-Attissa( Edo owners of Yenegoa) went on to try their luck in Edo state and got their hands burnt.
Now Great Bini descendants, a Bini expansionist group are in Engenni, Epie, Udekeme , holding annual meetings with their traditional leaders ,who send delegates back to Bini to meet Oba Bini , pledging allegiance to the Edos.
What this means is that even Yenegoa, the supposedly Ijaw capital will not be part of Ijaw future country, because Edos have a geniuine claim there and the Epie Attissa people are obsessed with their Bini origin, which their language being Edoid confirms and with Oba Bini palace giving them open arm welcome, there is only going to be one outcome in the future.

I was on Ijaw platform and the INC and IYC operatives were fumming about the activities of GBD in those Edoid communities in Bayelsa and Rivers state. I was laughing my ass off as an invisible observer as usual.

Wait till the current Igbo docile generation Manning Ohanaeze and Political positions are gone, you are not in any way ready to deal with the upcoming Igbo generation .

nengibo:
Do you know the current deputy majority leader in the Abia state house, Paul Taribo of Ukwa East Ndoki, why does he answer Taribo if there's no history between Ndoki and Ijaws, I'm saying this cause you paint it as if Ijaws just woke up and started claiming an entire clan of humans sad
Some Ijaw people were allowed to settle as strangers in Ndoki land in Igbo spirit of accommodation.
That doesn't make Ndoki Ijaw. Ndoki people know all the Ibani families that they accommodated during Ijaw canoe house wars, those few families know themselves too and they are the ones trying to instigate Identity crisis in Ndoki.
We have alerted and sensitized Ndoki people now. If any descendants of such accommodated Ijaw families in Ndoki is tired of being Igbo, they will be expelled back to your Ijaw swamps.
Many of such families were brought to Ndoki land by their sisters who were married to Ndoki men and were accommodated in the spirit of in-law.

No one said there is no history between Ndoki and Ijaws.
What we are saying is that Ndoki has always been Igbo.
You are pointing one Ndoki man with Ijaw sounding name as evidence of Ndoki being Ijaw, but no Ndoki person knows the meaning of Taribo, not even the bearer knows, because its a foreign intrusion and has no meaning in Ndoki. But we have entire Opobo town and Queens town speaking Igbo language as indigenous language and we have kings in Bayelsa bearing Igbo names.

Igbos are the only tribe you can do anything to and nothing will happen, they will wail as usual and their elders will beg for forgiveness and come back.
Igbos never learn, stop putting your money in another man land.Everyday Igbos are leaving the east in large numbers, poor migrant.
Ika boy. Ika is insignificant and irrelevant to Ndiigbo.
Your bloodlust for Igbo blood will be your undoing.
Agbor your biggest town is a glorified Bush village. It is not Igbo man fault that your Bini ancestors left your Bini language for corrupted version of Igbo language you call Ika. I'm sure you bear a mutilated version of Igbo name which you shamelessly drag along.
Ndiigbo are not responsible for your limbo state. Your bitterness will simply consume you.

Cant you simply starve this worm of this attention he desires so much?, Leave him to wallow in his delusions for Gods sake
I seem to have time on my hand and in mood to squash his fragile ego.
Nothing gives them group pride than the delusion that they are important to Ndiigbo.

Once you tear that notion apart and break their little ego, they go mad and become filled with blood thirst as their innate Igbophobia become multiplied to 100 folds
grin

I enjoy seeing them in this state. It's a hobby of mine. Allow me catch some fun nwanne. Ima aghota. cheesy

Please do. We are waiting for your Bini contaminated Igbophobic Igboid minorities to finally show your true selves.
It helps the cause of Igbo nationalists like myself who see you lots for who you truly are.

Yes,pls poor Igbos should stop flooding our land and go back to the east,we don't need fake drugs and fake goods in our land.Don't let okowa deceive you,if kasala burst okowa can not control anyone except his family.
Igbos brought cultism to agbor, today it has destroyed some Ika youths.
You don't cloth or feed Igbos in Ikaland.
Instead they rent your shops and pay your people.
Their trading activities create revenue for your local Boji Boji touts who come to collect tax from them on behalf of Delta state government and LGA council.

You can't do anything to Igbos in Ikaland. Ika is just 2 LGA . If you try any nonsense Ndiigbo will send you into extinction. So my friend, you will do well to stop this your empty threat and accept the fact that Ika is insignificant, inconsequential, irrelevant and expendable to Ndiigbo and Igbo nation in the grand scheme of things.

Unlike IPOB that has got you believing with their nauseating Unity begging that you are important to Ndiigbo. I'm here to slam you with the uncomfortable real situation and how Real Igbos view you.

Yes,IPOB should stop deceiving people IKA people don't really have interest in whatever they are planning.Okowa is just a politician that will use the emotion of Igbos to advance his political career.
We are irrelevant according to you yet your people are economic migrant in our land.We don't have oil that kanu will use to do father christmass for togo.
Go and hold your brief with IPOB. I believe they have Facebook and tweeter handles. Igbo nationalists would even be happy if Igbophobic minorities like Ika can go to IPOB pages and disgrace them with Igbophobic utterances, because those lots are proven impervious to reasoning.

I'm not an IPOB member. While I support their quest for Biafra, I am totally against their multiethnic Biafra and would oppose it with whatever little means I can. Ndiigbo can't suffer to escape Nigerian tower of babel, only to be entangled in another Babelian mess with Igbophobic minorities. It doesn't make sense! We must get it right this time around and not repeat Zik mistake.
Getting it right means that Biafra must be an Igbo only republic and with no room for Bini contaminated Igbophobic but Igboid groups like Ika, Ikwerre and their ilks. While all care must be made to include strategic Igbo groups like Ndoki in the Igbo country which means they must be shielded from aggressively expansionist minorities like Ijaws who are on a mission to implant identity crisis there. Hence the opening of this thread to create awareness among Igbo nationalists.

Your hatred go soon kill, abeg tell IPOB to remove us from your map.
I have no hate for Ika. I just see you as irrelevant to greater Igbo cause. I don't see what you would be bringing to the table for us, seeing as how un strategic Ika location and size is, coupled with your Bini contamination.
Hating Ika will be a waste of hate.

Nope, I don't hate Ika. I just don't like you, and I don't wish sharing a country outside Nigeria with Ika if majority of them reason like you do.

On the other hand, I'm very much interested in Enu-ani. The human resources there is mind blowing and a new and growing Biafra can do with such quality human resources to map its way to greatness. Enu-ani (with exception of Issele-uku, who I'm still wondering what we are going to do with) are on the majority of same mindset as SE.

It is hoped that in Future Igbo country, Onitsha will fuse with Asaba and all the way to Ogwashi-uku as a single mega city whose fame will be known all over the planet.

You can go meet IPOB to settle your score with them. I'm an Igbo nationalist and have no tolerance for any idea or talk of multiethnic Biafra, so naturally my position is at variance with those of IPOB.
But the good thing is that many Igbos share and support my stance.
