"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. Igboland? No Anambra person will allow an Abia man lord over him, no Imolite will agree that the Obi of Onitsha is his King, I don’t know what you kids are imagining? Go to school, graduate & do your NYSC, & try to give yourself an opportunity to prosper living in Nigeria, or leave Nigeria for an assumed greener pasture if given the opportunity, anything other than that, is a waste of time.
Ndiigbo are Democrats. We don't lord over each other or anyone for that matter.

Stop dying on top of Igbo matter. I'm no kid, I graduated from the University long time ago and served too. Currently gainfully employed and well comfortable in life.

bro the kind of money that is in Nigerian governance ehhh will make even Nnamdi Kanu to abaddon the struggle.
Nigerian politics is all about money money and more money that's why they're ready to kill everyone to get it.

Bro forget e get the kind of money wey you go see ehhh, you'll never want to return to your previous life again.
if you know how many billions of naira or dollars these governors control ehhh, no one will taste that kind of money and want to be part of something that will stop the flow
reason you'll hardly see any politician in support of ordinary restructuring not to talk about separation.
anything that will stop the flow of billions, they'll never be part of it.

that one no go work trust me
If money can make MNK and IPOB lose their loyalty to Igbo land, then there is no point supporting them now.
I want to believe they value Igboland over money.

IPOB cannot achieve much until they plant moles in form of governors manning all SE States. These Governors would act anti Igbo and anti IPOB in public but dine and discuss strategy with IPOB and MNK at night.
They would bow before the Caliphate in the day, make them empty promises, extract privileged info from them and relay them to IPOB at night.
They will profess love for Nigeria in the day, but work fervently at night for it's disintegration at night.

The point is that one way or the other, IPOB or whoever is fighting for Biafra would need complete and total control of political power in SE to take this struggle to the next level.

This should be common sense.

Most times, strong entities are better destroyed not from outside, but from inside. Think of how Greeks fought for years outside Trojian gates with heavy casualties and no head way. Think of how quick they took Troy when they deployed tact and sneaked their Greek moles into the heart of Troy using a Greek gift, aka the Trojan horse. Troy fell within hours.

Tact will get you things brawl will never get you. IPOB must find a way to sneak in IPOB moles into the very heart of SE political power, Manning all SE government houses and senatorial positions. Masquerading as patriotic Nigerians while they work hard to destroy it from within.

Staying away from political control of SE is a mistake that would ensure like the Greeks, IPOB remain outside of the gates, wasting precious lives fighting an unending battles for years without scratching the wall of Troy(Nigeria).
The Fulani are a step ahead of us because they have managed to plant their own moles within our political sphere. All our governors are tied to their apron strings. They have all become traitors to the Igbo nation.
The only way we can reverse this is by fighting back. Get rid of all the current political class in Igboland using the power of the people and replace them with our own people.

History has shown that no nation survives it's traitors. Igbo nation will not be an exception if we don't do something now. IPOB must review it's stance on political participation in Igboland within the Nigerian context.

Well, that was what I was telling you people. You cannot win by just having intelligentsia or being politically correct or by knowledge alone. IPOB is necessary. You need to make the enemies think twice before they do shit with you or even make national decisions.

However, when people like you too come out to throw dirt on them, I just wonder if you actually know how useful they are in the scheme of things or the plan Nigeria have got for the Igbos.

Umahi thought he was intelligent by bowing to the Northern powers and agreeing to all Miyetti Allah's demands and Ohaneze selling their soul to Miyetti Allah... IPOB do not need to get into politics, all they need are governors who support secretly and act as if they know nothing openly... This is where the Northern leaders are far ahead of us. Ours think they are great and receive favours by being politically correct and suppressing their own people. A lot of Igbo people have that complex. They think that by castigating their own, they will somehow be loved by outsiders.
Even if you are working for politician and you think they somehow go against their personal agenda, you do not know that right now that is a suicide mission because with each fracas, more people are coming to the side of IPOB.

@Eastlink and Igboid, oya come tell me what you and your Igbo intelligentsia have in response to this type of trouble since IPOB is bad?
Even Ohaneze Ndiigbo and Igbo World Congress now support ESN.

In 2023, to win governorship election in Igboland, you must declare support directly or indirectly to ESN. Because you can't govern a people you can't protect.

Governors get Billions in Security votes . Imagine if we have those billions channelled towards procuring weapons and enlisting more men in ESN. Imagine how much more powerful we can become. How much more we can achieve.

This is why sensible Igbos had hoped that IPOB would have established a political wing cum party that would wrestle the political power in SE from the current non entities who are subservient to Fulani power brokers like their mentor Asika Ukpabi.

People should stop useless lamenting and defend their communities in the face of this persistent menace. Each community in these attack prone areas should immediately form vigilantes in which every man must participate. They should be armed and taught basic defence using their guns. Any altercations with these herdsbeasts should be immediately reported, inorder to plan for or determine the necessary defence against reprisals. People should learn to defend their own lives. To hell with the government of Nigeria that has refused to defend its people.
To defend yourself against Fulani Herdsmen, you must be ready to fight off Nigerian military and police who serve as their accomplice.

The villagers cannot do this. They don't have the weapons to do so.

To get to the herdsmen, you have to get through Nigerian military and police.
Some of you don't understand the gravity of the issue we have on our hands.

Its obvious that ESN is underfunded and lacking in number of personnel. They are spread too thin and can't be everywhere at same time.

Something has to be done about this. They need more financial support to get in more arms and recruit more hands.

We have to help ourselves.

Either way Portharcourt is not better than Enugu, Owerri or even Abakaliki. And Awka is even turning things up, and there is still Onitsha.
All these Igbo cities that sprung up from ashes of Biafra ruins from 1970 upward with no special intervention fund from FG. And the good thing is that they are all Igbo cities not shared with anyone else . Igbo language is the lingua franca in the streets of these cities.

Are the Igbo States today Dubai in comparison to others? What exactly stands out about Igbo leaders, in fact some of the worst in Nigeria, to bear out all the supremacy noise you Igbos bore others with daily?

Fact is a lot of people are now just turned off by the empty chest beating of Igbos that reality on the ground never validates.
Are you not embarrassed by your cries in this thread?
Your hate and envy is eating you up inside up.

Where exactly in Nigeria is better than Igboland?

Igbos went through a civil war that saw our cities leveled to the ground. Yet no cities in Nigeria other than FG cities of Lagos and Abuja can say to be better than Igbo cities.
Igbos rose through the ashes of a civil war and economic war post civil war and stand head tall till today.
Look at the Super eagles that played yesterday, of the 11 starting players, 4 were Igbo, that's 36% of the national team of a country made up of 300 ethnic groups plus and it has been like this since adam. Anything that has to do with merit in this country, the Igbo always gets a lion share. Why shouldn't an Igbo man be proud?

Why shouldn't Ndiigbo be proud of our past and present exploits? Is it our fault that you come from ethnic with nothing to celebrate?

The strong kingdom was destroyed in one week. The kingdom would have been destroyed under hours but the record showed that the stench in the palace deterred them.
The account goes thus:
"As we neared the city, sacrificed human beings were lying in the path and bush—even in the king's compound the sight and stench of them was awful. . . ."

Well, I respect them shaa, but when these people start having these minority complex and breakdown eh, e dey tire person.
The Binis were selling non Binis among them as slaves in exchange for Manilla whose bronze they melted and used to produce their art works. shocked
They were ransacking neighboring groups for slaves including the likes of Ika.
That's why many were fleeing Bini.

The likes of Awo that founded Abavo was said to be have been taken from his hometown in Western Igboland to Bini as a slave. He was supposed to have been sold as slave or sacrificed to Bini gods, but luckily escaped from Bini to found Abavo.

This is why there is this hint of Igbophilia and Biniphobia in Abavo( especially Ekwuoma).

But the above version of Awo history, the fact that he was a slave in Bini had long been edited and the current story is that he was a Bini prince. Probably because the people are ashamed of admitting to have been founded by a slave.

Ika oral origin stories are full of irrationalities because they are mostly denatured stories made more to soothe the people ego than to actually document true historical events.

Don't let IPOB people deceive you o! cheesy
One or two IPOB members from Igbanke don't represent majority of Igbanke people.

You can search for Igbanke National Progressive Forum on Facebook and follow them there.
Its a public group.
Don't get trapped in IPOB propaganda.

Ndiigbo need to know the raw undiluted truth about these groups. It would save us a lot of pains and future accusations and feelings of betrayal.
I can gather few Igbanke people and make video with them claiming they are Igbo and for Biafra, but that would only be self deceit because it would not change the orientation of vast majority of Igbanke people.

Imagine IPOB and MNK paid Asari Dokubo millions to accept Biafar tag and train boys for them.
And they recruited few hungry Ijaw boys who they take pics with claiming that they are representative of Ijaw and that Ijaws are Biafrans.

But I belong to Kalabari, Okrika,Nembe,Opobo, and countless Ijaw forums and I know that vast majority of the people are strongly anti Biafra and Igbophobic.

So what IPOB succeeded in doing is selling a lie to Ndiigbo who go about calling a people with Igbophobic mindset brothers.

Tell me how exactly this folly help us as a people.
What do you stand to gain by raising an Army of ignorant Igbo youth who don't really understand the true nature of the relationship between them and their minorities?
Think of the picture of a child playing with fire because those whose job it is to explain to him how harmful fire sold a wrong narrative of fire to him.

We must dare to do better. The true nature and relationship between us and these groups must be taught to Igbo youths so that people don't go and foolishly declare a stupid war tomorrow where they would be exposed to true nature of these groups and come back crying sabo and betrayal again.
You see IPOB drawing stupid maps where they include these groups in their Utopian Biafra, and you can only shake your head as an Igbo who know better.
These actions by IPOB make these already Igbophobic groups more Igbophobic. They feel threatened by IPOB forced unity and the Igbo Youths are sold false narratives of non existing brotherhood with these already aggrieved groups, setting Igbo youths up for future severe backlash.

Only the Truth will set us free.
