Iyineda: Talk about a storm in a teacup. Why are there allusions of racism from people on this thread? Iheanacho scored each time when City were trailing. 1-2 and 2-4. What is there to celebrate? The scorer himself wasn't overly enthused either. OGA wat of the match against stroke city where he scored two and he was'nt celebrated..... honestly I felt it was nothing be4 but now I think smtin is wrong smwhere. |

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born on 15 September 1977 in
Enugu, Nigeria, the fifth of six children to Igbo parents, Grace
Ifeoma and James Nwoye Adichie. While the family's ancestral
hometown is Abba in Anambra State, Chimamanda grew up in
Nsukka, in the house formerly occupied by Nigerian writer
Chinua Achebe. Chimamanda's father, who is now retired,
worked at the University of Nigeria, located in Nsukka. He was
Nigeria's first professor of statistics, and later became Deputy
Vice-Chancellor of the University. Her mother was the first
female registrar at the same institution.

Is this because you could not write that eloquently when you were 13 or what?
I am not saying this latter is true or false (lawd knows the type of lies folks concort these days are worthy of Sodom but then…. ) but says a 13 year old couldnt have written that is not right. During the 2000 riots in Kaduna, Zaria escaped the worst because the Emir went out in person to tell people to calm down.

All we have is the word of the ''abductor/trafficker'' who says he sold her to scouts who ''claimed'' to come from the Emir of Zazzau.
Without offering proof...he sold the girl....thus betraying her trust in him.
The lass has been sold to human traffickers.Probably out of the country by now.

Bevista: TBH, I am now convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Nigeria's problems is beyond leadership, but a societal one. Are we just intellectually deficient or chronically prejudiced. --- This was an interview where the Minister was specifically asked about the exchange rate situation. He tried to explain the factors that influence the rate making reference to oil price. He simply said the SITUATION (exchange rate) was beyond the president since he does not control oil price. He never said the ECONOMY was beyond the President’s control as misrepresented by the media. --- How the media gets away with such mischief is beyond me. Worse still is the fact that 80% of readers do not even notice this distortion of facts. These are people that will later assume leadership positions. With such shallowness among citizens, the future is even more uncertain. pls make I ask oo... so wats den is the diff btw our economy and the currency price which is directly affected by the oil prices? So oga is it not the same tin as saying dat our economy is out of their control. |

abeyraj: Embattled Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Ricky Tarfa, on Monday, explained the circumstances leading to him sending money into the bank account of Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court. He denied any underhand dealings with the judge. In a statement emanating from his chambers, Tarfa disclosed that the judge used to be a lawyer in his chambers and had to benefits from accruals on the briefs he facilitated for the chambers when he was his associate. He noted that the chambers deemed it fit not to cheat Nganjiwa out of his sweat, despite becoming a judge, hence the decision to make his cut of the proceeds of the briefs he brought available to him. He decried the alleged media trial embarked upon by the prosecuting Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Tarfa said this style of investigation and prosecution was evident in the fact that despite the commission’s fresh charge against him being everywhere in the mass media, a copy was yet to be served on him. In the statement by signed by the head of chambers, Ricky Tarfa and Co., Mr John Olusegun Odubela, reacting to the fresh 27-count charge, it was noted that “the Chambers” have course to once more react to the malicious trial by media of Rickey Tarfa by the EFCC. “Trial are never won on the pages of newspapers, the airwaves and on online platforms,” it said. Odubela added that the recent 27-count charge allegedly filed against Tarfa by EFCC was laughable, because as of the time of issuing the press statement, he was yet to be served with the charge. On the allegation of falsification of age, he noted that “celebrations of milestone of birthday of Mr Rickey Tarfa have always been in the public domain.” The statement further stated that as law abiding organisation, it would never be involved in any act in contravention of the law of the country.

Cases of defilement by pastors for this year alone far outweights the total number of rape cases in the history of the north.
When we add up baby factories, compound perverts, cultists, prowlers, and other rapists ranging from school teachers, lecturers, diurnal ambushers, the only country that can par with southern nigeria is india.
