wtf does this story have to do with Nigeria? You guys make it seem like it's every dog in America that can dial 911, smart-ass and dumb-ass dogs are not limited by geographic locations!!. . .
Atleast the trainers did a very good job. Here's the only thing they train dogs to do is to sit, back in the cage, roll over, stop. But we are talking about a life saving dog who was trained to do so. We dont have life saving dogs here in nigeria. Thats too bad. I do have a dog and told a train to train him to some certains, he said he can't.

Nairaland General › Dog Calls 911 After Owner Has Seizure by igbsam(op): 9:19am On Sep 15, 2008
PHOENIX - "Man's best friend" doesn't go far enough for Buddy — a German shepherd who remembered his training and saved his owner's life by calling 911 when the man had a seizure.

And it's not the first time Buddy has been there for owner Joe Stalnaker, a police officer said Sunday.

On a recording of the 911 call Wednesday, Buddy is heard whimpering and barking after the dispatcher answers and repeatedly asks if the caller needs help.

"Hello, this is 911. Hello , Can you hear me? Is there somebody there you can give the phone to," says the dispatcher, Chris Scott.

Police were sent to Stalnaker's home, and after about three minutes Buddy is heard barking loudly when the officers arrived.

Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said Stalnaker spent two days in a hospital and recovered from the seizure.

"It's pretty incredible," Clark said. "Even the veteran dispatchers — they haven't heard of anything like this."

Clark said police are dispatched whenever 911 is called, but that Stalnaker's address was flagged in Scottsdale's system with a notification that a trained assistance dog could call 911 when the owner was incapacitated.

Clark said Stalnaker adopted Buddy at the age of 8 weeks from Michigan-based Paws with a Cause, which trains assistance dogs, and trained him to get the phone if he began to have seizure symptoms. Buddy, now 18 months old, is able press programmed buttons until a 911 operator is on the line, Clark said.

Clark said Buddy has made two other 911 calls when Stalnaker was having seizures.

He said Stalnaker's seizures are the result of a head injury he suffered about 10 years ago during a military training exercise.

Stalnaker was not listed in the phone book, and he did not immediately respond to a request through police for an interview.

We called their customer care, and were told to call back in 2hrs time, 2hrs is now 48hrs no response. Besides, what can we do if we can't find the sim pack where the puk code is written. I believe they will need the puk code before they can activate a new line.
Phones › Zain Blocks Sim Cards Anyhow: Watch Out! by igbsam(op): 12:01am On Sep 13, 2008
Initially I though this was a mistake from my younger when his sim card was blocked trying to recharge several times not believing his innocence of not loading more than once, but when 5 of my friends complained of their sim card being blocked by zain just like that including that of my sister, I knew this has to do with Zain. I dont know what this guys are up to. They just block sim cards anyhow, just like that. Whats really going on. Not like my friends are on free browsing to warrant them blocking their sims or something. Just normal sims for receiving calls. What do u think they are up to ? Trying to sell their sims ? Thats too bad of them to do.

Can someone answer this question Pls, Why did God caused Ismael and his mother and said to abraham that the children of Ismael will be violent againt the children of Isaac. Is it not because of what abraham did ? God hated it and thats the cause he placed on abraham which we can see manifesting today.

Jokes Etc › Police Quotes Bible To Pastor: Very Funny. by igbsam(op): 11:44am On Jul 31, 2008
On the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a pastor met a team of policemen who, quite naturally, wanted ‘something’ from him. Since he was not prepared to play their games, they asked for his papers, and having combed through everything without any offence with which to nail the ‘stubborn’ pastor, they now asked him to open the bonnet of his car.

A careful scrutiny of the engine number against what was on paper revealed that letter U was written in such a way that it could be mistaken for letter V. That was all the officer-in-charge needed to shout ‘stolen vehicle! Sensing trouble, even when he knew he had committed no offence, the clergyman called the OC to say he was a priest, to which the officer replied: “Please, leave that pastor thing…in any case, if you are indeed a pastor, then you must have a Bible in your car, bring it.”

The Pastor did as was commanded after which the officer now ordered: “Please read Matthew 5:25, 26 to me.”

The incredulous Pastor opened to the recommended passage and read: “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to a judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth; you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.”

The man of God quietly made an ‘offering’ of ‘just’ one N100 to his new found ‘preacher’. End of service! Go in peace and argue no more, said the OC

Politics › Re: Has Fashola Really Done Anything In Lagos State? by igbsam(m): 1:13pm On Jul 17, 2008
I dont agree with the Poster or Sky Blue that Gov. Fashola has not done anything in this lagos. I consider him to be one of the best governor who took the bull by the horn to make sure he turns Lagos around and save Lagos from the congestion. If we fold our hands seeing Lagos congesting, it will soon become a pile of rubbish, but fashola decided to free Lagos and create more space for us to breathe. I knew people will hate him for what he's doing, but he's doing the right thing. Can you imagine, in Lagos we dont even have open parks for kids to play, everywhere is rubbish and congestion. He'll definitely step on some feets to create a way. So make una no vex. Fashola is doing something and it is glaring. Someone has to force beautification, we can't live like we are suffering and like we dont know what beauty is all about. If you can make your home beautiful, i think you should do the same to lagos state.
