Ikeja is something else. yesterday I visited computer village to get some softwares. Imagine 3 patrol police vans raiding people with laptops and desktop computers. An elderly man was also pushed into the Van. No questioning, nothing. Once they sight u carrying a laptop bag, then u are meant for them. Also they harass young guys on bikes. Along that ikeja round about. Once they sight u on a bike, you would be stopped and if you have no cash to give them. My dear, na cell get u dat day. We need to rise up in one voice and put an end to this police menace in nigeria especially in lagos. Even sef, dem dey stop young guys wey dey drive car. Begin ask unnecessary questions about how u got the car. This and dat. |

A banker, Mr. Pius Effiong, who was injured in a cross-fire between two police teams, has threatened to sue the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly abandoning him at the National Hospital, Abuja. Effiong’s left leg was amputated as a result of gunshot injuries he suffered when two teams of policemen engaged themselves in a shoot-out in error while attempting to rescue a kidnapped victim in March 2010. Six police officers were also wounded during the incident with a few of them losing their eyes and sense of hearing. All of them are still receiving treatment in a hospital. Effiong, 33, said that he was on his way to work when he was accosted by some policemen and arrested on suspicion that he was a kidnapper. He added that he showed the policemen his identity card and explained to them that he was an employee of Think Microfinance Bank Limited, Abuja, but they ignored him. He said he was beaten by the policemen, who bundled him into their unmarked black Toyota vehicle. “As the policemen were driving away, another group of plain-cloth policemen blocked the vehicle and shot at it, thereby injuring everyone in the car. My legs and shoulders were shattered,” he said. Effiong’s lawyer, Afam Osigwe of Law Forte Chambers, said his client was putting on the bank’s promotional T-shirt, while his identity card hung on his neck when the incident happened. The lawyer added that when the second group of the policemen realised their error, they took Effiong and the injured policemen to Asokoro District Hospital and later to the National Hospital. He said during treatment, Effiong’s leg was amputated from the knee due to the damage inflicted by the gunshot. Osigwe said as a result of the long period of absence from work due to hospitalisation, Effiong lost his job with the bank. He alleged that the police refused to contribute further to his treatment despite several letters written to them by Effiong’s relations, lawyers and erstwhile employers. “The permanent disability suffered by Effiong has caused him the loss of amenities of life, while he still suffers from excruciating recurring pains from the injuries,” Osigwe added. But the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Moshood Jimoh, on Sunday said Effiong was not arrested, but was hit by stray bullets during the shoot-out between the policemen who were attempting to rescue a kidnapped victim. He said the police had spent millions of naira on the victim “to the point of taking him abroad for further treatment,” stressing that the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr. Haruna John, and other senior officers had visited the banker in the hospital to show their support. Jimoh contended that instead of going to court, Effiong should channel his grievances to the police authorities through the officer that was attached to him. He said, “We did not abandon Effiong. We have spent so much money on him. We have spent millions of naira on his hospitalisation, but if he has any complaint, he should channel it to the authorities through the officer attached to him. “The incident that occurred affected six of our men and a few of them lost their eyes and sense of hearing and they are still being hospitalised. We are doing our best to take care of all of them. These kind of things happen all over the world, even in the military; it is a friendly fire.” Source http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201012092492164 Which kind silly friendly fire wey wan claim innocent civilian life. All this police people are getting on my nerves,

Can someone pls introduce a good mechanic that can work on my EOD 2003 V6 Engine. All the mechanics i've been meeting are just using my car as a sort of white rat for experiment. Please come to my rescue. Instead of the fuel consumption to reduce, its more than a nightmare. The engine light is on. The Powering Steering pump is bad wasting the oil and therefore become stiff. The engine becomes extremely hot when turned on for a short period of 5mins. The engine vibrates. The fans are more than noisy. Inshort, these so called mechanics don scatter my motor no more car. Abeg make una help me o! I reside in Lagos. Abule Egba area. |

obojo:I replaced the power steering pump and the noise still continues each time i turn the steering, |
I need help with my 2003 EOD power steering. My power steering has been disturbing me for some weeks now with this lousy noise its making, so i had to replace it with another one (Tokunbo) Hoping it will stop, but it has refused to stop, the noise continues and after a long drive of about 30mins, it will reduce and the steering itself becomes hard while driving. Also, i noticed the ATF reduces instantly while driving. Each time i turn the steering, it makes a very loud noise that gives me concern. I wud appreciate your help or better still if there's any good mechanic in lagos that can work perfectly on EOD 2003 cars. |
@Y'all: 1st of all, I had a problem during the raining season when I drove my car into a ditch with water, it affected the kick which i changed and ever since then, the Engine Check lite has been on. 2ndly, d distance I cover everyday is like from Yaba to VI everyday with ma AC. Also, I don't reset the Milieage meter and I only change my oil during the service of my car every 3months. When I bought this car tokumbo, it wasn't consuming fuel dis much, but ever since I Changed my Kick, it became a nightmare for me. |
I'm having problems with the way my V6 EOD consumes fuel. A fuel of 2000 will only last me for A day and half. How can I manage this, someone pls rescue me. This is getting out of hand. |
Whats the difference between cars that are labelled "EX" & "LX", also my v6 EOD consumes a whole lotta fuel. How can i manage dis ? Pls come 2 my rescue. |
His Humanitarian Service alone is enough for me to like him. How many pastors have done what he's doing today, rather, they enrich their pockets buying cars and jets. Wanting to move to VGC. Who can tell me the history of John the baptist, who is his pastor ? |
Heard the news over the radio that their's something weird about dis ball. u send it somewhere and it goes elsewhere. It has a mind of its own, hahahahahaha. Am sure the ball would be in support of the 5 african nations and score itself for us. |
honeric01:Green ( England's goalkeeper), Algerian keeper, most england players and even our own Etuhu. If you follow sport news very well, u'd notice they've been complaining about the ball before the beginning of the tournament, |
Everyone is complaining about the 2010 World Cup Ball, What's actually wrong with the ball ? You send it on a direction and it goes a different way. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8737661.stm |
No be say when him don die now(God forbid) like da grin and michael jackson dem go begin play him song for radio and tv stations and then start saying all kinds of good things about him. I've been in search of his album all over the place without success of finding it except for his little patience album. Any Information about this legendary ? We need to start caring for people like him who are legends in the music industry. |
I have this cough for like 2months. Its goes and comes back. What drug can I use to stop it from coming back. Presently, I'm using Emzolyn syrup. |
