What a responsible Government does is to put all options on the table and conduct a credible/comprehensive investigation.

Maybe the reason some folks are now using MEND's name is because the President is all over the place suggesting that MEND are above investigation or prosecution.

What kind of ridiculous National Security Policy is that??

If a Bomb goes off in Zamfara, Government should keep an open mind and investigate everybody including MEND, BokoHaram, Massob, OPC, or anybody and everybody that is mentioned whether proximate or remote.

You can not reach a conclusion based on sentiments and then go back to find wild evidence to support your pre-determined conclusion. Such an investigation will always be tainted and can not be how to conduct National Security affairs.

Our president is saying things that don't make any sense. We have the right to ask why. And we have the right to put those questions to a public forum. The government has a long and proud history of not catching people who commit all kinds of violent acts. They've bungled countless cases in the past and they are trying their best to bungle this one. Every Nigerian has a vested interest in making sure the October 1st bombers are caught. If Henry Okah is innocent, then the real killers will escape to kill again.

Plus the government cannot just come out and accuse somebody of such a heinous crime without any plausible evidence. It would be just as easy for them to blame <insert your favourite politician's name here>. People are saying IBB paid Okah to do it but they might as well say Barack Obama paid Tupac. It makes just as little sense without proof.

All of you who are blindly swallowing the government's half baked theories should remember this: You (or your mother or your child) could be the one standing nearby when the next bomb goes off. If you had any sense at all you'd be asking questions too.

Who are having the sqaubles exactly. Please do not misrepresent GEJ here. Saying his hands are full appears to mean that protecting the rights of the citizens is not foremost in his resume. NO please. GEJ has shown a lot of concern for the masses not to talk of elder statesman. Many of them were in the lockout. I believe that GEJ will intervene if for nothing else to show that his hands are clean Ohakims actions could actually hurt him here so please do not hold such a negative brief for him. THE SS and SE are GEJ's main home constituencies no matter what anybody may think,   Most of the SW will eventually go to AC so GEJ will not abandon these his primary constituencies because of 'a handful of things' . You can see how he reacted when MEND wanted to rubbish the SS.

yes ooh, that's what they call silent treatment, how on earth do you expect him to react when the whole thing is detriment to his political ambition or you wanna tell me that he was not aware of the agenda.
if you were him, you'd do the same. so jettison gej this gej that and come to grips that a politician  rises on the backs of his friends,  and it is through his enemies he will have to govern afterwords.

and if you contest that,I'd prove to you that You can't adopt politics as a profession and remain honest

Nope, the Nigerian Police is controlled directly from the Presidency through the office of the Inspector General of Police.

Any illegal use of the Police in the manner seen in Owerri is a criminal act. Any serious government will not take that act lightly expecially when the current President seems to be the direct beneficiary of that illegality.

Jonathan has a duty to the Nigerian people to order an investigation.

I believe the state govt can handle that or you gonna blame your domestic squabbles on him also?

You ! lol  who the heck told you I was asking you?  I can forgive BBC for carrying Yaradua purported telephone interview in one of their bbc Hausa programs, but I can't forgive an international acclaimed T.V station that was supposed to feed us with visual images for taking a strange telephone call without confirming it's authenticity.
