I completely agree with this video.

American bureaucracy and the ultimate will for power from both sides is slowing things down.

And I also think that democrats tend to over regulate in governance leading to severe bottlenecks.
I think it's just a pity that Americans are severely limited to two choices.
Every time I leave Nigeria, I thank God for American regulations. Just saying. Some regulations can be onerous, but generally they protect the business and consumers alike. Look at that condo building that came down in Miami. I'm sure the residents wished they had better regulations/building codes.

Failed GOP candidate visited homes of New Mexico Democratic politicians to dispute election before shootings, officials say
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/solomon-pen-new-mexico-gop-candidate-visited-homes-democratic-politici-rcna66092

This guy hired someone to shoot up the homes of Dem officials. He claimed his election was stolen after losing by ~50% in an overwhelmingly Democratic county. Of course he calls himself the "MAGA king".

I think you've jumped the shark. 9 out of your 10 last posts have had some reference to d*ck, rectum, or homosexuality. Posts where no one has mentioned those words but you. Really ask yourself, why does that seem to be your singular focus. I'm trying hard not to call you out here. But straight men don't think about other men at the rate that you do.

Biden said he didn't know how the classified documents got into his garage. So he either mishandled classified documents and lied about or someone in his team did.
Read some of the posts from yesterday. I posted the verbiage of the actual statute they will try to charge him with. The issue isn't mishandling classified documents, the issue is knowingly doing it with an intent to improperly store it. So unless they prove he intended to take them he's in the clear. His team on the other hand, depending on the level of their sloppiness may be in trouble.

Politically what Trump and Biden did sound similar. But legally, Trump is in a world of trouble because he fulfilled the elements. By 1.)technically admitting to it, by negotiating for them and 2.) directing the informant to move the documents. So, he was not only aware he had classified material, he also directed someone to improperly store them. Elements fulfilled.

Thanks for the correction.
smiley
That's even worse for Trump. One of the elements of the statute he most likely will be charged with is knowingly having classified documents with an intent to improperly store it (paraphrasing). The fact that he knew he has classified documents and directed someone to move them somewhere else, proves that element. That's one of the reasons Biden's team immediately self reported and decided to search everywhere themselves. He has better attorneys than Trump or his attorneys have a better client.

Why do you have to peddle LIES.

June, 2022:
A lawyer for former U.S. President Donald Trump signed a statement in June that said all classified material held in boxes at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence had been returned to the government.

August, 2022:
FBI agents searched Mar-a-Lago this week and removed 11 sets of classified documents including some marked as top secret, according to the Justice Department.
To keep it 100. You're both partially right. The FBI knew he had classified documents (they had an informant who moved the documents before the 1st FBI visit) and that is the only way they could get a search warrant (they had to know the locations to search), but they didn't know what the documents were.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by IjeBos(m): 4:51pm On Jan 13, 2023
CoolUsername:
They knew about about the documents before the raid, though.

Imagine believing this would ever happen.
Logic doesn't seem to be your strong suit. What does knowing about them have to do with the Search? Of course they knew about them, the goal was to retrieve them. Whether classified or not they are government property. When the Government asks you to return them, you comply. When they send you a subpoena, it's definitely not voluntary, you definitely comply. The search warrant was because HE DID NOT COMPLY and they had proof HE LIED about having more documents. Biden has preemptively complied, so what would they be searching for? On what gorunds would a judge even give them a search warrant?

We're here playing chess, while you're over in a corner licking crayons while drooling.

Bunch of rubbish.

Yet another TDS case of the "walls are closing in."

Trump has not been indicted or charged yet. Let the SC/DOJ indict him and then the defense would begin.

I asked a simple question of how long the classified documents could stay in Biden's garage before it becomes a problem, you started to shalaye. So I'm going to forward you to Garland. He just appointed the SC. Ask him to find what Biden did illegally.

This is all of your own doing. In trying to sink Trump, you opened up Biden to a stray bullet.

-Lord
The elements of that statute are clear. Knowingly and Intent. The only stray bullets are the FEELS you have injected into it. I think I'm done taking your arguments apart.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by IjeBos(m): 10:03pm On Jan 12, 2023
LordAdam16:
The question is not which is easiest to prove, it is that they both can be indicted.

Whether the charges will stick is a whole different kettle of fish. And as I've said at least twice already, I don't see it sticking to Biden. Trump's argument will go to the highest courts because the legal writ on declassification powers of POTUS is not cut and dry.

But in their fervor to take down Trump using anything in the codecs, they created this blind spot.

Usually, prosecutors prefer to file charges when they're sure of getting a conviction. Especially with cases that have high bars to clear. It is why the Feds were trying to get Trump on sale or transfer of national secrets to foreign agents.

Likewise with Gen. Flynn. The Logan Act has been flouted so many times with prosecutors turning a blind eye. But they used it to go after him, then nicked him for lying to an agent.

-Lord
So we should indict people with the understanding that the charges may not stick? You should read up on how well that went for John Durham. But welcome to the autocratic Republican party.

The "Fox News" is strong in you.

Lol.. .this post. Legal writ? Codecs? Good example of trying to sound smart but having no clue what you are talking about.

LordAdam16:
Yes.

And Biden unknowingly and unintentionally moved and retained classified materials to his office at Penn and his garage where they remained for 6 years.
Ding Ding Ding. Now we are on the same page. Now Read the law. To prosecute him, they have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt he knowingly did it and with an intent to keep them. Speaks to the competency of his team, but not all stupid actions are illegal. Argue to change the law, not ignore it.

LordAdam16:
And in your informed opinion, Garland goofed by appointing a SC because there is nothing to see there. So how long can he retain these classified documents before it becomes a problem? 10 years. 20 years. Forever?
Easy question. Find me a law that makes what he did illegal. I'll be waiting. Again, argue the laws aren't sufficient. Or what Biden did was wrong. Don't argue he did something illegal based on the facts that we know, based on how you feel the laws should be.

LordAdam16:
For the umpteenth time, Trump was POTUS. He argues he declassified them, so the "knowingly" and "intent" was authorized. Not unauthorized as is the case with Biden. Biden can only plead ignorance, which he's gotten used to doing anyway.
And you can repeat it 100 more times it won't make it true or pertinent. The only arguments that matter when people are under criminal investigation are the arguments they make in court under the penalty of perjury. He declined to make that argument when he had the opportunity. And besides this statue, he is in trouble for obstruction and other statues as well since the documents still belong to the government. Trump is in a world of trouble for not doing what Biden so easily did.

Guy, I repeat, rest.

You were the one yapping about how it's different with Biden. Yarning dust about intent, when anyone with two brain cells could tell the issue was about mishandling. And while you were making a f**l of yourself, Garland was confirming what every informed person was harping about.

So I have no reason to entertain your oafish nature any further.

You're a Biden leg-humper, continue waiting for Massa's directive.

Imagine asking "What precedent did the Mar-A-Lago raid break?" And you expect me to give you attention.

Shift! Oh, and continue venting.

-Lord
I was trying to be civil with you but you keep calling me out my name. This is the problem with idiots like yourself. You have little of understanding of how little you know.

Here is one of the laws that Trump will most likely be prosecuted under and the law that at the moment Biden is being investigated for.

18 U.S. Code § 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material
(a)Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.
(b)For purposes of this section, the provision of documents and materials to the Congress shall not constitute an offense under subsection (a).
(c)In this section, the term “classified information of the United States” means information originated, owned, or possessed by the United States Government concerning the national defense or foreign relations of the United States that has been determined pursuant to law or Executive order to require protection against unauthorized disclosure in the interests of national security.

You see that "knowingly" and "intent" there? So, no, it's not just about removing classified documents, it's about knowingly removing classified documents with an intent to retain them. Something Trump almost admitted to by "negotiating" to return them.

I have little time to suffer fools. You don't even know what you are arguing or how stupid you look doing it. Read more yourself and stop allowing whatever propaganda you watch to tell you how and what to think.

But continue on professing how you little you know. #idiocracy

It's also important that Trump lost alot of election fraud cases, and a good number where thrown out by Republican appointed judges and some also appointed by Trump himself.

He already broke precedent with the Mar-A-Lago raid. Sessions established precedent with the Steele Dossier necessitating a special counsel.

And there's literally a Church-style committee being set up in the House to probe the DOJ.

He pretty much had to appoint an SC.

Nonetheless, I don't believe anything will come of the investigation.

-Lord
