After Hausa, the 2nd most populous single tribe in Nigeria is Igbo, followed by Yoruba, then Fulani, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Idoma, Urhobo, Efik, Bororo, etc.

Before you argue, ask yourself who make up Southeast region population and who make up Southwest population and you will realise this:

Southeast = 93% of Igbos + 5% of other tribes + 2% of other nationalities

Southwest = 60% of Yorubas + 30% of Igbos + 8% of other tribes + 2% of other nationalities
