More diversion and irrelevant post.
Your previous statement acknowledges that you haven't answered any of the questions posed at you so far. Questions that actually addresses the issues at hand, instead of the constant bickering you are making. You then turn around to ask me what questions again. Nice logic.

Time would tell if you can rise to the occassion and challenge those questions directed at you. So far, you clearly ain't up to the task at hand.
You have finally followed that same thing I was pointing at, to prove you wrong. Logic cheesy

The fact still remains that when the managers of twitter wanted to shut there site down for updates they were clearly informed by the state department not to, as this was clearly the tool of the Iranian protesters. If the US could go that far what stops us from thinking they did'nt do more.

The BBC during the period of protest quickly launched a persian session on its website. What more facts do you need to show that the - so called west - was not well biased.

Honestly ElRazur wat is your question. Facts? Okay, what facts have you got to say the so called west had no hand in the protest?

1+1 = 2 is a fact. This is recognised and can be proved.
Wrong Wrong Wrong.  Excuse me this is just a diversion to prove the point that in Algebra 1 + 1 = 1

In other words

True + True = True

1 + 0 = 0

True + False = False

0 + 1 = 0

False + True = False

0 + 0 = 0

False + False = False

Look ElRazur all am trying to let you know is that what is true and what is not, sometimes depends on what angle your looking at it from.  angry

And if logic is something we should follow in this argument ElRazur your fact says your wrong. angry

Perharps I should point it out to you that a man with 3 sons loves one more than others, although he raised them all, but he still loves one more than the others. It would be naturally assumed that he should love them all equally, but no, he loves one more than the other. So also is a mothers love, she gave birth to them all,  but one of  them is loved more than the others.

I think the problem most of us have, is that we see nations as one big entity, maybe if we start narrowing it down to its smallest unit - the individual, as scientist break down compositions to there smallest particle - atom, in other to undertand it better, then and only then we would have a better picture.

The west is not perfect, but you can equally say the same of every other nation.

Afam its a constant struggle in an individual, that fight for perfection, if it would ever be attained is another thing, but one thing is for sure, let all men of goodwill speak out when they see injustice, that is our call to life, that is the only way we would draw closer to our destination.

But dont ask me if we would ever get there, who can tell kwanu, when the distance is unimaginable, not to say immeasurable.

I dont know your problem, maybe its lack of exposure, knowledge or that you cant simply read.

Muslims in Fance are not Iranians, Egyptians or Saudi Arabians.

They are French born muslims or emigrated muslims (and during migration there was no where they signed a code of conduct that the French have a mode of dressing). Islam is there religion it includes wearing the burqa, the same with chritianity, although many would deny.

Just for the sake of those who would want to know.

Open your bible to 1 Corinthians 11:1-15.

I know one idiot would come here and try to twist the truth to justify his argument. That Paul said full covering should be done only when in worship.

But Jesus said Pray at all times.

I think people should learn the truth, rather than just jumping on band wagons. Osisi the one in bold is meant for you.

In my view (sometimes) Christians just love the name, they don't follow Christ anymore, and they only live on the mercy of the almighty, and that includes me. I see these women in Veil and the first thing I feel is resentment, although I know they are in the right, but my worldly view will not let me accept it, but at least I wont join hypocrites.

RichyBlacK:
This is really interesting.

This tension will continue between living in the past and living for the future. Historical episodes of these kinds of struggle abound. However, the general trend has always been the relaxation of restrictive laws and attitudes and the embrace of the human spirit to be free.

Religions, all of them, put some form of restriction on the human experience. It is my belief that abiding by these restrictions should not only be a personal matter, but must never infringe upon the fundamental human rights of any individual who does not want to abide by them! angry

There are many good reasons why the burqa could be outlawed, chief of which is proper identification, not targeted identification of a group, but routine identification. It is common sense to note that the burqa easily gets in the way of proper identification of an individual. Can we use other forms of electromagnetic waves beyond visible light for this identification? See me in the yet-to-be-created Physics Section. grin

However, outright ban of the burqa in every corner of society is, in my opinion, an infringement of the fundamental human right (freedom to practice ones' religion) of the Muslim women who choose to wear them.

Though major Islamic nations like Saudi-Arabia are among the worst countries in the universe when it comes to respecting the fundamental human rights of individuals, the French do not have descend to the shameful levels of the Saudis.

The protection of the fundamental human rights of the individual must be respected by all institutions, including all governments and all religions.
I think u explained it in better words, that is all I was trying to say, before vultures started coming out from every corner.

I just don't have the will to argue this, cause naturally I find the Burqa irritating, and I know why, its only because I was brought up to see it as something unacceptable, just due to stereotype and religious believes. Now I know better.

Secondly I don't have the will cause I know someone would drag me into the bible they don't even read, if they read the whole book of Paul, am sure they would find where he instructed women to be well covered.

Abeg if you can argue it abeg stay strong, don't be surprised that vultures would come at you too, but please be strong.

If  they have not started coming out, they act like they are too clean and as if they are the first God will take to heaven. But we know better. Theirs is the height of hypocrisy.

For Osisi I wonder sometimes if it was a sucide bomber that killed her late great, great, great, great, great grandfather.

@Afam,
The folly of a question can be revealed in two ways. The first is to ask a rhetorical question that will make the questioner to think through his question as he obviously did not do so the first time. The second way is to answer the question in such a ridiculous way that the questioner will be embarassed by his question. I have chosen the former.

So once again, my response will be the same rhetorical question: "So is Iraq and Afghanistan less democratic than they were under Saddam and the Taliban?"
Afam:
Why do you like being wrong?

Where did you get the idea that the folly of a question can be revealed in 2 ways? Why 2? Why not 3?

You can ignore a question to reveal the folly inherent in it. This is another choice and this makes the total number of choices 3 and not 2.

I decided to respond this way so that you realize that though you think you are usually right that in reality most of the time you are dead wrong but way too blind to see it.

The correctness or otherwise of any issue is not at all dependent of your acceptance of a position.

Repeat this line 3 times every night before you sleep and in 2 years you will become a better debater.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

If it was not truly the teaching of our Lord that women should be properly covered, why do Nuns cover all parts of there body including the hair.

The Christians have adultrated the teachings of our Lord, such that they are now moving towards ordaining gay priest, what was categorically written in the bible as not permissible.

Sarkozy has no perfect moral standing himself to judge what women wear, considering that he married a former model who once posed semi nude.

But honestly I love nudist, if only for the fun of seeing individuals funny body shapes and laughing of your head. Clothe dey hide something. Why don't they just ban clothes.  grin

There's doing the 'right' thing, then there's doing the politically right thing - and Obama has chosen the latter.

Whichever way he responds and whichever way you slice it, its a lose-lose situation, he just has to pick which loss he'll prefer to endure.
This comment comes from inadequate historical knowledge. Just a brief one.

In 1953 when President Mosadek had a plan to take away Iran's oil from American Comapnies, and stop them from making excess profit from it, at the expense of Iranians, the then American govt. paid rogues and thugs to stage protest, in other that the army would have a reason to unseat Mosadek. The plan was successful, Mosadek was thrown out of power and the Shah of Iran who was in Exile in America went back to Iran and became the President.

Mosadek was so popular with the Iranians and he was a democraticaly elected president. So the US actions did not go down well with the Iranian people, and so came the Islamic revolution of 1979, that revolution had two major theme behind it, non interference of foreign power in Iran politics and the installation of the leader of the people. This is where Ayatollah came from.

Mosavi pledges allegiance to the Ayatollah, he played a major role in this revolution, Obama routing for him would not neccessarily bring many changes to Irans foreign policy, and Obama knows this.

Secondly Mousavi does not want the Americans support, its like a kiss of death. He would loose popularity in Iran immediately he is said to be supported by foreing powers, Alhmadenajad and Khameni know this, that is why they are already trying to say that it is the British and US that are supporting the protest.

Thirdly who can really proof that Alhmadinajad did not win that election, why are most of the protesters, good with twitter and youtube, if that is the case then there is a great chance Alhmadinajad won the election, cause most of the illiterates and Islamic fundamentalist are not technical savvy, and in Iran they are more in number, and could have voted for Alhmadinajad.

Those who say Obama should back the prostesters are the same people that helped Bush sell the Iraq war. They look for nothing but trouble.

You have clearly shown your stupidity.

When Hiroshima was bombed, the guy that launched the atomic bomb came back and said, if he knew that was the kind of destruction the bomb would cause, he would not fly that plane.

Then the makers of the atomic bomb replied that: "they made the bomb knowing that, if one nation knows the damage another could cause to it, by going to war, it would rather seek peace.

Thomas Hardy in his book, "the return of the natives" wrote:  "if you know the fight you would get by taken off another mans hat, you would rather leave it on"

Your are so stupid, the allied forces allowed the Germans and Japan have an army, knowing that, although they might be drafting their constitution, a breach of their right would be strongly defended.

They had a choice, and mind you it was war, if the allied forces had stayed longer than required there would have been repraisals, and the alllied forces knew this. So dont say they had no choice, its very wrong. And as I keep saying it was a war which was lost at that point in time. And a war brought about by Germany and Japan on others.

The Middle East peace is quite different, the palestinians pay a price for the injustice commited by others.
