must_a_far:
on an awesome day, that which u have stated above is what the CCTV should do. but when they start making mention of private businesses installing, without defining what a "private business" is? they simply gave reason for a detour to my line of thought.

For the most part the reasons we have all given for the projects success are entirely based on ASSUMPTIONS we all made.
And the reasons you have given for the project not to suceed are entirely based on what? on very warped and meaningless assumptions.

TV/MoviesRe: Adaure Achumba And Her Accent by ilaugh1: 6:32pm On Jan 20, 2009
A-40:
Some people pick up accents quicker than others and some fake it quicker than others e.g Kanu has been playing in England for close to 10 years now but the Igbotic accent is unmistakeable,Mikel joined Chelsea 2 years back and he sounds more British than Gordon Brown!! it all depends on the individual but her accent is pretty ok since she schooled there and all there are circumstances that could change your accent
Only goats pick accents that are not theirs - i hate such people.

Morons -

Obama said - "We can do it" - he made it

In Nigeria - they say " We cant do it because we are black and stupid"

Shame.
PoliticsWhy Obama Will Not Succeed If Granted The Chance To Rule Nigerians. by ilaugh1(op): 6:22pm On Jan 20, 2009
1. NairaLanders will never see anything good in him. They will say he smokes, he drinks, he is a muslim, he is too young.

2. They will cry loud, he is not a Nigerian, all activists will gang up and say he is not a Nigerian.

3. They will shout at his fit frame and say we want a fat man to rule us, they wil say he is too hungry looking.

4. They will tear him down at every opportunity.

5. Nairalanders will simply say - "he cant do it"

Shame on Nigerians.

A black man stands up and says "We can do it" - thats in America.

Half baked Americans - they come online - and anything their country plans - they shout it down and say "we can not do it because it is Nigeria"

and you all havent seen the need to cover una faces in shame? you all come here to shout load and talk nonsense?

Half baked Americans condemn their own country - full baked Americans support anything that is America, their beloved country.
PoliticsWhy Did God Pack Foolish People Into A Single Country And Call It Nigeria? by ilaugh1(op): 6:01pm On Jan 20, 2009
Look at Americans - even in the face of trouble and calamity, they speak hope, faith, love, oneness, harmony, they see hope always.

Look at Nigerians - in the face of "peace", they see trouble, they see calamity, they speak, failure, they loose faith, they preach hate and they never see hope.

Look at Americans - When a black man aims to become the President of America, he uses the term, we can do it, and the whole citizen supports him.

Look at Nigerians - When anything great is planned, they shout it down and say - it can never be done, meaning - "we can not do it because we are black and foolish". They see their country as a country where nothing good can come out.

In America - They sent men to the moon, noone was there before, they made it happen.

In Nigeria - Ask them to wear hemet to protect themselves from accident, they shout it down and say it is never necessary.

In America- Everyone is sane - noone drives on the wrong side of the traffic. Noone breaks traffic laws.

In Nigeria - Noone is sane - noone obeys traffic laws, everyone, including the educated, drive on the wrong side of the road.

In America - you dont have to be told to wear a seat belt, wear helmet, dont overspeed.

In Nigeria - make such laws and you are doomed, they say you are a fool.

In America- plan to spend millions on security, on a war, on building roads, everyone welcomes it.

In Nigeria - come to NairaLand, they rubbish everything planned, they say no need for roads, no need for security, it will not work.

God, why, why, why - why have you made all Nigerians fools?

Who is a coward now? The one who ran away from his/her country, picks up citizenship of another country, and now stays far away to write and talk evil and crap about the country he fled, the country he abandoned, or the one who stayed and bleives in the survival of the country, the ne who prays that all should be well, the one who sees a future for the country - which one is more of a coward?

Exactly, so no need to suffer my self

all of you can keep suffering and smiling dia, HAHAHAHAHA
That realy got me cracking now - suffering? Hell no, what most people have here are things you can not have even if you work over there in 45 years, you are one of the people who think everything in Naija is about suffering, you will be surprised. When you see your mates building houses with their own money, and all you can boast of abroad is mortgages, when you see them manning and running their own businesses here, when they go abroad for shopping regularly, abroad for holidays, when they make their money work for them, then you will know that the issue of suffering and smiling is d other way round. Funny u.

PropertiesRe: Please I Need List Of Good Area´s To Buy A House In Abuja by ilaugh1: 3:54pm On Jan 20, 2009
depends on how much money you have.

Asokoro, MAitama, Wuse are high profile areas, Gwarinpa is cheap and Utako as well. As per armed robbers, you have to go to heaven to live if you are looking for such a place where there are no armed robbers.

Asokoro and Maitama is however tops - no armed robber will dare. Cant spea same about Gwarinpa - but hey, why is dat a consideration.

You havent still changed my mind about what I said - for all the changes I have witnessed, great or small, I am proud of my country and I believe there is hope in the air, if you are not, then, that does not bother me, and you are entitled to paint the country in any light you want - that doesnt mean your opinion is more superior to mine - who send u?

I can gladly sue you for deformation of character for Nigeria - why will you say it is against our culture to re paint houses? I think your Mum knows you are dumb, thats why she gave it to you just like you like it.

nigerians cowards?
when i saw this, the first thing i did was try to confirm my suspicions which is that the phil of a guy must be a diasporian, and true enough he was,i stopped reading after that,
nigerians are not cowards, they have to contend with and struggle daily with phcn, water, bad roads, bad leaders, fear of armed robbery e.t.c while th likes of phil are abroad in their comfort zone writing useless articles,if you cannot go to nigeria and stand shoulder to shoulder with these sme nigerians to effect change, then you have not earned any right to call them cowards, after all you are several thousands km away from the reality on ground
You are the best.

If a plane crashes in Nigeria because birds hits the plane, all of you will shout, oh, it can only happen in Nigeria, you will say it is witchcraft, now it happens in America, it becomes the eight wonder of the world. I bow for my so called Nigerian citizens.

I'm watching the "landing" right now. the pilot was a genius. He diverted from the populated neighbourhood and landed the plane in the water. with no engine power.

the problem we have in this country is that we do not have an effective rescue system. Look at what happened to sosoliso the other day. If our fire and rescue systems were up and running, i'm sure about half of the passengers would have been saved.

Everything boils down to the corrupt nature of our leaders. I wonder what sort of ego would make someone continue to hold on to a position when it was glaring enough that he/she cannot perform I mean. . . .4 plane crashes in a year!!! where can that happen in this world except in Nigeria?!!! And instead of the idiots to resign, they continued to put the blame on the dead. God is a patient God.
, and your point here is?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Once The Richest Nation On Earth by ilaugh1: 12:13pm On Jan 18, 2009
the real problem the country has and is still having is the citizen thmselves, I bet you, if you interchange the citizens of Burundi with the citizens of Nigeria, just watch what will happen, Burundi will sink in three yers, while Nigeria will rise to the top in two years - so, the problem is you, me, everybody, just read the mindset of Nigerians on NairaLand, you will be amazed, you will be surprised and wonder, why wont the country go under?

You made me laugh. Which intelligent people have you seen on NairaLand?

You know what you want, yet, for reasons known to you, you still bring it up on a public forum where it is likely you get swayed by their opinion, and take what you shouldnt have taken. Why not simply follow your instincts?

By the way, have you been given employment at KPMG? Because you are still asking us for the salary, it seems you havent been given a job yet, so, why come here asking questions that arent necessary?

Of course there is hope in the air. It has been in the air since independence.
So pot holed filled road decorated with street light is your idea of development?
Why don't you move permanently home (Nigeria) and relish in it?
You pick out four areas certainly not four states, and you think you have seen improvement
when majority of the people are wallowing in poverty, suffering injustice, barely able to feed
twice daily, with subtle intent to impoverish them more by politicians imposed on them,
please gimme a break and find a better topic to contribute your new found "proud of Nigeria lines to".
You can shout 100 times more than this, it will simply make me shout the more, how I am proud of my country Nigeria - how the little achievements I have seen has and is still making me proud, if you have a topic to start, and talk about how bad Nigeria is with sufferings and co, thats your kettle of fish, for me, you cant stop me from being proud of what I chose to be proud of, dont you get that, or is it difficult for you to get into your skull, common, wake up, if you are not proud of anything said I am proud of, hey, thats your own, example, when you have kids, they are proud f you as a father, it doesnt mean you are the best in the world, it doesnt mean other kids wont hate you for that, but hey, dos that stop your kids from still being proud of you?

Look, if you didint hear properly, listen to it once again - I am proud of my country, for what I have seen in the places I have been, now, scream louder boyfriend.
