You are a lair. This is the source of the information I shared and I followed their lead to the video. You just come online to distort fact
You and the author of that piece are both drunk.

In the video I watched, at no point did the referee communicate with the goalkeeper for any wrongdoing.

He didn’t caution him or give him a yellow card. There was no sign language or any form of communication between the referee and the goalkeeper and yet the referee was booking the players outside the box.

Watch the video yourself instead of reading a useless write up that didn’t capture the true event. If you are blind, ask a neighbor to interpret what happened in the video you sent.

The goalie wasn’t at fault as far as the referee was concerned otherwise he would have walked to him or signal to him to stop coming off his line.

Stop lying.

You never change. At least two of the retakes were as a result of goalkeeper's off his line. And there were no cards in those instances
That’s not true.

If they were, the referee would have carded the goalkeeper. He was busy carding the players outside the box.

Can a team mate get a yellow card on behalf of a goalkeeper?

Why do you lie like this? grin

Watch this video of 2004 and be enlightened. The keeper kept diving out to save and the referee ordered a replay. Sometimes, the player scored but his team mates encroached into the box

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJwAE5Mtrxc&t=23s
The referee wasn’t even looking at the goalie in all the penalties that were taken. He was looking at the kicker and the encroachment.

If the referee thought the keeper was cheating, why was he giving the other players yellow cards instead of the real offender?

You people just lie without any shame. grin

The referee had the penalty to be retaken because the other players were encroaching the box before the ball was kicked.

The keeper is allowed to move along the goal line and even distract the shooter, but must not touch the goalpost
Were the keepers not touching the goalpost or rattling the post pre-2019 to distract the kicker?

So how is the law easier and how does it align with the ones you used in your secondary school?

So you have finally come full circle to admit the laws were changed recently plus there’s now VAR to enforce it?

The law has been used since 1905. Everyone knew about this law. You are not qualified to analyse football. It is FIFA rule 14. All FIFA rules are in use. Sometimes, for whatever reason, one tournament can see ref ignoring an issue

The law was in use and plenty of goalkeepers benefitted from cheating in 2018 World Cup?

The new laws started in 2019.

I am not sure you understand English. Don't twist anything. Just humbly admit that you were ignorant that the law did not start with VAR.

I told you I saw this law from time immemorial. We also used it in our school games in the 1990s. You will hear, their keeper move o, na replay.

Lastly, I told you that google says it was introduced in 1905. Any laxity in any particular tournament did not represent the law. You are looking for exceptions instead of the general law through ages.
elampiro:
It's not new. The linesman watches it. Before VAR, keepers were penalised for such. As far back as 2007, it was used. Much before, it was used. Now I see it was introduced in 1905 from google search
You people just lie without shame. Who mentioned 2007 here? grin cheesy

The law started with VAR and it was enforced with VAR. Pre-VAR, referee had no opportunity to get a second look if the keeper had cheated unless the keeper made it way too obvious.

A law isn’t a law until it’s enforced. Abortion is illegal in Nigeria but an estimated 60,000 abortions are committed every month in Lagos. What you read on paper has no relevance if people are getting away with it.

Go and rest.

Useless Pau Lopez benching the error-prone blind boy at Spain national team

How many did De Gea make at Roma?

Is de Gea responsible for shots conceded? Is it his fault that the idiots in front of him concede shots?

Henderson would have knocked United out at the semis. grin cheesy

It was a mistake from the officials just like Maradona's handball
And I am telling you now that those mistakes from officials have been cut off.

If a goalie tries to game the system now, he gets a yellow card. Another attempt and it’s a red card.

So penalties are so much difficult to save now than pre-2019.

That was how De Gea gave Chelsea 2 goals in the FA cup semi-final last season

Romero would have saved those goals.
United wouldn’t even have made the final had Henderson kept at Roma.

De Gea made about 8 instinctive saves Henderson would have bottled. It would have been epic losing a tie with 6-2 advantage in the first leg.

He’s not better than De Gea at anything apart from rushing out of his lines to pretend to claim the ball.

Even that attribute is questionable as he has also conceded goals where he ought to have rushed out to claim the ball.

Herderson would have saved the goal DDG conceded and we win in regulation time. Simple
I wonder how he couldn’t save United from conceding 3 goals against Sheffield United(relegated team) at Old Trafford.

This was Dudek against Pirlo in 2005.

Dudek was off his line completely before Pirlo even kicked the ball and Dudek saved. No officials spotted it.

This is not a new football rule, oga
It is quite new.

Long before this season, GK’s were able to game the system because there was no VAR to check if the keeper came out of his line or not.

Until last season where every pen gets reviewed to see whether GK gained an advantage via cheating. Liverpool couldn’t have won the 2005 CL final with the nonsense Dudek was doing in Istanbul.

He cheated over and over and got away with it.

It would be a totally different game if Henderson was in goal.

Little details like speeding to start attacks after catching a ball and giving the ball away can create chances for opponents.

You are putting the blame on the wrong person. Your world class manager took out Greenwood to bring on Fred while searching for a goal - De Gea’s fault.

Your world class manager made no changes in normal time to try and win the game. Emery made his first change in the 60th minute - De Gea’s fault.

Villarreal have the budget of Crystal Palace and yet Ole couldn’t find a solution to break down their low block - De Gea’s fault.

You people deserve Ole. grin

2020/2021 stats

Henderson
26 apps 22 goals conceded 13 clean sheet

De Gea
36 apps 46 goals conceded 12 clean sheet
It’s irrelevant if we don’t know the quality of the opposition faced by both De Gea and Henderson.

Expert17:
Villareal GK almost saved Shaw's and Fred's PK and eventually saved one.
That was because of how poor Shaw & Fred’s kicks were. The Villareal players were better at taking penalties than United players.

I guess that was De Gea’s fault too. cheesy grin

Expert17:
De Gea was not even close.
De Gea’s hand touched about 3.

Expert17:
Henderson is far better than Degea in anything related to set pieces.

Just look at DDG foot /positioning 2 seconds before the ball was kicked.

De Gea has bottled how many finals in recent seasons?
Henderson is a bum. He’s not better than De Gea at anything.

At 24, De Gea had won the PL and Europa/SuperCup at Atletico. De Gea had graced the PFA team of the year at 24.

Henderson hasn’t achieved anything close. He’s a bum who has no quality to even become United’s number one even if De Gea leaves.

Henderson is a 2nd goalkeeper at best. If De Gea decides to leave, United still need a #1 goalkeeper. Oblak or Donnarumma should be pursued instead of Henderson.

We all saw how useless Henderson was against Liverpool. grin cheesy

How many clear chance was created through out the game.
Henderson conceded against Wolves(weak attack).

Henderson conceded 3 goals at OT against Sheffield United who had relegated as early as December last year.

Expert17:
Your foolish GK, can't follow simple instructions.
Centrally to his left or to his right? The instruction did not say.

Go and stand in goal before criticizing. Villareal’s keeper followed instructions and conceded 10 goals too.

Penalties are too difficult to save with the new rules. The taker has to be very very poor for any goalkeeper to have a chance.

Henderson in goal wouldn’t have won the game for United last night. United were losing either way because the manager is useless.

Henderson is a bum. United would have lost at normal time if he had been in goal.

Saving penalties isn’t easy anymore with goalkeepers being forced to stay on the line until the ball is kicked.

The taker has to be very poor for a goalie to have a chance. The Villarreal keeper didn’t save any too apart from De Gea’s kick.

De Gea should never have been put in that position - he’s a goalkeeper, not a penalty taker. If Ole had done the needful, he would have brought on VDB, Mata, Amad at the 60th minute to try and win the game.

Ole deserved to lose. Stop putting the blame on De Gea.

Progress Under Ole:

5/7 Quarter-Finals
1/5 Semi-Finals
0/1 Finals
0/1 UCL group stage qualifications

Prem Finishes:
6th (66pts, 32 off the top)
3rd (66pts, 33 off the top)
2nd (74pts, 12 off the top)

In any organization, Ole would have received his P45 like 12 months ago. He personifies the word failure.
