Okay. I'm perplexed as to why you'd want to snoop on these girls and their boyfriends. That's either crazy or fictional. |
What Goes Around.../...Comes Around by Justin Timberlake from the 2006 album FutureSex/LoveSounds |
davydenko18: Inferno is the first section of hell in a oem written by Dante, others are purgatory and paradisio. davydenko18: Inferno is the first section of hell in a oem written by Dante, others are purgatory and paradisio.Yes. There's Purgatory and then Paradiso. But that doesn't mean that the next Robert Langdon novel will follow this particular story. YES. I've read The Lost Symbol. The one about science and a boy seeking revenge on his father and a secret society. |
Try by Nelly Furtado from Folklore |
Hell to the no. Even in school. I don't like it when people pull me into it either. |
Jolene by Dolly Parton |
Brisingr: @illuminatusI started Before I Go To Sleep today. Haven't gone far though. Been busy. Will get into it tonight. For me, the twist is one of the few things I liked about the book. |
davydenko18: I read it in April, dan brown is losing his touch. The book is 'dully boring'. Though i believed inferno may be the first part of trilogy with purgatory to follow. Hope he will discover digital fortress touch again.Exactly. Digital Fortress and Deception Point are his best works so far. I hope he goes back to his roots. Robert Langdon is already an ongoing series. How can you have a triology in a series? |
All I Have To Do Is Dream by The Everly Brothers |
Larry-Sun:Yeah. He's best is Watchers. |
They can. But it won't be easy. |
They're running an enterprise. It is wrong to turn away people because of their sexual orientation (or race). I'm guessing they've never turned away a man and a woman who aren't married and wanted to share a room. Why should they turn away two almost married men? |
kofsy: funny enough I just downloaded inferno yesterday. This is the second bad review I'm reading. If I ask another friend that reads Dan Brown's and he has nothing positive to say, I'll delete the book o. Life is too short spending time on uninteresting books. I'm not a fan of Dan to start withLol. Have you read Digital Fortress and Deception Point? They're both great although they aren't part of the Robert Langdon series. |
I'm not here because nobody talks here anymore. This strike is driving me crazy and I expecting that someone would start a tutoring programme for new students here. I read somewhere of an Economics student doing the same *shrugs*. Anyway, what's up everyone? |
Anyway, I'm trying not to read for a while and concentrate on some other stuff. But I'm being drawn into reading this thriller, Before I Go To Sleep. |
I just finished reading Inferno and here's my review: I've read every single book officially written by Dan Brown, so I can authoritatively say that Inferno is the most disappointing (actually, the only disappointing). The Lost Symbol while not being a terrible book wasn't particulary impressive to me so I was expecting Dan to bring back that feeling I had with Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code with Inferno. I found the excessive use of exaggeration very daunting. Dan described every single art, building, and city (Venice and Florence) as the best. While these description and ideas might not be wrong, they're not particularly true either (at least for me) and I found them overbearing. At some point when he was describing that Dante museum in Florence, I wanted to tear my hair out. A classic case of the too much of everything is bad saying. Another thing I disliked is that Dan is still sticking with keeping Robert single and not searching. One of the things I like seeing in a (hero) character of a series is growth. I just finished reading The Codex Alera series and I appreciated how Tavi grew and matured with every single book and the other characters changed too. Seeing that Robert is still a Professor of Symbology in Harvard and still single without friends didn't help the book. I was expecting the professor to change in some way, acquire a romantic interest, make a stable friend, introduce a family member, anything except being the same aging professor that sticks to a life of being a alone. But it wasn't all bad. I liked the way Dan presented a lot of ideas and facts and the way he makes you not want to doubt it. I've learnt a whole lot of new stuff from the book, exploring new possibilites. The idea of how Overpopulation is a big problem for humanity is something I hadn't fully well appreciated before. It has suddenly become something I hope a lot of people could pull their heads out of their backsides and acknowledge. Another thing I liked about the book is something Dan is well know for: suspense and mystery. He cleverly withheld the identity of one of the master villans(not sure the person could be called that). I like the way he wove the story with such intricate details and appealing characters. |
Normally, songwriters should be credited for their work. So should producers. Of course, artists can write or co write and produce their songs. But it's really sad when artists steal songs. |
Knowing Me Knowing You by ABBA from their compliation album Gold |
the warrior72: The blood of JESUS CHRIST watches away any earthly differencesMight be true, or not. But since the blood of Jesus Christ doesn't come into play in politics, I still maintain that there are much difference between an Igbo man and Hausa man (in a political sense). |
Guess what, they lied. They lie. And they expect you to believe it. They once told people that soft drinks could be exceptionally health, and when some customers took legal action concerning the lie, they said they expected people to know better. No soft drink is sugar Free. It might contain less sugar than most, but it is definitely not sugar FREE. |
The difference between Igbos and Hausas is more than religion. While an Hausa man could be your brother in the Lord, the both of you are actually not brother in any other sense. |
Definitely Medicine. They have more prospects. |
viruz007: i have friends there who go to see movies only on days it's cheap so get that mentality of being ripped off removed. U want better thing, u gotta pay for it. This guys run a business so please understand that.I understand that they're running a business, but if I can't afford it, I won't attend it. They've got to understand the damonic condition of the country and try as much as possible to suit the income per captia of Nigerians. If they produce a movie that can be favourably compared to the likes of Avatar, tag the tickets for 2000, some people will see the movie, but majority of the populace won't because they can't afford it. They'd rather wait for the pirated copy in DVD format. But if the price is within the range of 300 and 700, lots of people will definitely see the movie, assuming the problem of few cinemas is solved. |
viruz007: 1. After my last experience watching a nigerian movie in SB Uyo, it would take a serious move for me to watch 1. Am a movie blogger/critic and i was appalled by what i saw in the movie Covert Operation. If the movie is as good as Mr & Mrs, den am good to go.Stop comparing the price with what Americans pay. They're more opportuned and less inflated. We're just different economically. |
I wrote just two love letters and I didn't use flattery in any of them. |
Pentecostal Churches and Hollywood has given rise to the most ridiculous and irritating names I've heard. How on earth can one name a human being Purity, Drizzle, Possible and worse, Apple? You didn't tell us if the baby is male or female but I suggest Ryan, Michael, Humphrey, Abraham (Abe), Maryln, Grace and Shiana. |
Yes |
lynx200: 1. Would you be willing to watch a well shot Nigerian movie at the cinema?Yes. lynx200: 2. How much would you be willing to pay to watch such movies since we all agree that N1,500 for cinema ticket prices is a rip off.Between 300 and 500 lynx200: 3. If you stay in certain high density areas in Lagos like Mushin, Ajegunle, Ikotun etc will you go to a cinema there?Yes lynx200: 4. We intend to publicize these movies through social media. Will you willingly follow the exploits of the movie and its stars online?Yes. But I might not be active. I'll definitely be reading up. lynx200: 5. We intend to book cinema viewers through the internet/social media. Would you be willing to book a cinema seat online? No. lynx200: 6. If she can bare to be a trinket wife, she could stay. But I strongly advise her to quit the marriage with as little noise as possible and move on with her life. |
Judging from how you sound, the feeling isn't mutual. So call her and tell her it isn't going to happen. Make her understand that if she doesn't like her fiance, she should just call it off before the wedding. But she can't tie you into it. Be firm, but not hostile with your response. Good luck. |
In the face of recent events, I think ASUU's leadership has got their priorities twisted. It is illogical to demand that their salaries for the months they spent striking be paid. I'm even thinking that THEY just DON'T want to resume school yet. The Union is essenstial and as such, I'm against scrapping it. It would be undemocratic. But someone should make them understand that they can't continue on this path. |

but I love Da Vinci code I'll not lie. I read it twice.
