Just this year we've had
Female Loki
Female Hawkeye
Female Thor
Female Taskmaster(Taskmistress embarassed)
Gay gods/Eternals etc
What's next? grin grin

I'm laughing like it's not paining me grin grin my years of comic book love and knowledge in the mud

Why are you pained?

You are suggesting that these comics are awesome only because the characters were male and straight. Is that really the case? You are suggesting that these new adaptations are bad simply because the characters are re-cast as female or queer. But that really is not the case. How good these movies are should really depend on their content and writing and delivery.

do you know how much is iphone 11 currently?

Yes, I know. But the fact that she is using one does not make her a prostitute. There are other ways she could have gotten the phone. It is the assumptions for me. This is how the police assumes that everyyoung man that has a car is a criminal.
Culture / Re: Birth Control And Culture by Illuminatus(m): 7:08am On Jul 10, 2021
I am really pleased that you found this interesting and have shared with us.

But yes, as far as I know, there is no free birth control. Only a handful of organisations offer such services and their reach are usually very localized and restricted.

People on health insurance may be able to access the birth control they need, but this assumes that the person is enlightened enough to know that they need health insurance and can afford it.

Majority of Nigerias population are intellectually and/or financially challenged. The government is so weak it can't provide for them.

I meet this young girl who claimed to be a student, she gave me a green light initial and as I sharp guy I decode and proceeded.

but although she give an attitude like someone that's not interested she didn't give me the number at once. Even after that she is still forming to know to come see me.

Here are my observation. She is using an iphone 11, and always posting photos which Is very common for a young girl of her age. She sick too many attention and also online which I presume she do chats with guys.

I have suspect she is a prostitute and nothing short of it. Than why forming hard to get for me. She post photos of herself in front seat of cars and luxury makeup and hair style for a girl student in this buhari government. She like fine boy and show off to her friends.

I know her type. They love send me your bank account message. It's just to spend and them and one just nacking then move on as you can keep such a person.

This is quite some painful, disappointing reading this morning. The way you are being so conclusive that she is a prostitute even though she has not had sex with you has me fuming and confused.

Things does not revolve around what you imagine and these sort assumptions are not only problematic but maligning and some serious cock move.
Romance / Re: She Said She's Fixed, Should I Back Off Or Still Chase by Illuminatus(m): 6:46am On Jul 10, 2021
Is she someone you are genuinely interested in?

Why are you attracted to her?

If you want more than smash, you may want to try a different tact. Instead of being so direct, you may want to become her friend first both of you would come to understand each other a little bit more intimately before you ask her out again.

This way, you are certain you want her for the right reasons and she sees that you want more than getting into her pants.

This does not guarantee that she will[ change her mind, but it is one your best options.

Good luck.

I hate to break it you like this but you are born in this world, you are mixed with this world. What you are referring to, isolating oneself from possible contamination by the ‘sinners’ is not realistic. You are surrounded by us sinners. We are your family, friends (if you have any), colleagues at the office, neighbours at home. There is no getting away from us. You are welcome to try though. As long as you recognise that this negatively affect your relationship with other people and your social capital.

Religion / Re: What Kind Of Generation Is This? by Illuminatus(m): 6:53am On Jun 23, 2020
Here is a suggestion: whenever you are confronted by the overwhelming sense that something is incredibly wrong with our generation, ask yourself, ‘What is it? Why is it wrong?’ If the answer is heavily linked to what the bible or Koran has told you, then you should just ignore it and mind your business.
Our generation is just fine. Just like the generation before ours. Interestingly, the generation preceding each generation always felt that the younger ones lacked moral decadence. Our grandparents thought Michael Jackson and Boney M is devil music, the tv was the devils box. Look where we are now? At some point, some hardcore Christians thought women wearing trousers was the worst crime ever, look where we are now. But this doesn’t hold true. In fact, we usually find that the older generation was wrong on a number of things. We now think that slavery was very very wrong even though the bible supports it and it was legal sometime ago. We now things racism and disenfranchisement of women is very wrong, though it was fashionable some decades ago. We now think that not putting the environment first is a big offence due to climate change prospects, but this was baldarash to our parents.
The society is continuously changing, not necessarily for the better or worse. It’s inevitable. It’s unreasonable to continue to judge a generation with the moral standards of centuries ago.
Religion / Re: Why Couldn't Science Save The World's Most Developed Nations From Covid-19? by Illuminatus(m): 6:42am On Jun 23, 2020
For the love of the Flying Spagetti Monster! This is the most ludicrous thing I’ve read all day.

Science is only competing with religion because you guys want it to. But be that as it may, religion isn’t suddenly a better option to science. This is a novel virus. An understanding of how science works would show that it doesn’t know everything but it tries to learn as much as possible in as short a period as possible. But until then, it does not pretend that it has all the answers, unlike religion.

And it isn’t scoring you point that you are using the purported lower number of infected person in Africa as evidence that god is good to Africans. The virus is spreading. Very fast. A census of people in your social network who have experienced flu symptoms recently, with the loss of their sense of taste and smell would reveal how widely the virus has probably been circulated. We have done very little testing compared to our contemporaries which is the reason for the seemingly lower numbers, but I guess that doesn’t matter.

Religion is the opium of the masses. It makes people who believe it feel better. That’s okay. But it doesn’t and shouldn’t take away the credit that countless scientists who have spent months conducting research and experiments till they found that dexametazone can help infected persons. It doesn’t take away the thankless job and sacrifice that health workers have engaged in to save countless lives.

Education / Re: The Freethinking Nigerian Youths [hear Us Out] by Illuminatus(m): 4:38pm On Jun 21, 2020
There is fire on the mountain, but we aren’t running. Already, smoke has engulfed the air but we are still here, we don’t even know where the fire is.
The problem isn’t that the old has grabbed power and have refused to hand it down. The problem is that the youth have in general, failed to realise that the power does not belong with the old alone. In that way, the older generation has succeeded. They foresaw this moment and took action years ago to self perpetuate for decades. They kept telling us that we are the leaders of tomorrow, but then made laws and adopted policies and practices that kept them at the helm of power. And they have pulled our strings, over the years, our parents and societies at large have continually told us that something is wrong with us: we are more lazy, less focused, less wise when compared with our predecessors. And a lot of us have bought into that. We have concede to the whims of the people at power because we believe, on some level, that they deserve to be there (even if they bribed their way in). We now only try to charm our way into the corridors.
Nothing will change unless we are re-indoctrinated into understanding that deserve power. It is only after we achieve this that we can work on how to wrestle power away. For any movement to succeed, the people driving it have to understand and agree on what the aim is. Till then, we will keep moving around randomly like gas molecules.
P. S. This problem is multifaceted and it would be rather myopic to think that there is one singular thing that needs to be done to fix the situation. This is the problem with the Not Too Young To Run Act. The problem isn’t just the age limitation. It is also the financial and social limitation. A solution isn’t a solution if it does not take all the offshoots into account.

NYSC / Re: Corpers' Lodge: Ask Questions & Share Your NYSC Experience by Illuminatus(m): 10:08pm On Mar 01, 2020

texazzpete:
NYSC wouldnt have been so bad if the Government could have seen fit to send us engineers to engineering related jobs instead of leaving us to teach in village secondary schools. The painful thing was, after one year of teaching maths and physics, you'd have the same Government calling you a half-baked engineer!

anyway, NYSC was a funny experience for me. on the one hand, i got to see lots of people and travel to the east for the first time. On the negative side, i used to run a web design biz and i was reasonably successful at it. one year in a no-water no-light no gsm village changed it all. I had to bring my pc over to the village and bought a gen, that made me the target of hatred from my landlord who felt i was too pompous for a 'small boy'. That, and the fact that i was the only person in the compound of 10 that used toilet roll (instead of their favored plantain leaves) made them feel i was living large.

one nasty thing that happened, when i bought the gen, my next door neighbour compained that the noise was bothering him, he threatened to shut me down unless i powered his outside light. i had no choice but to comply. The first day i turned on the pc to watch a movie, all the neighbouring kids came crowding round my window. to entertain them, i put on a home video. that was my big mistake. they knocked and knocked until i let them in (i'm a sucker for kids) and then they started running over my foam witht heir bare, dirty feet, one ripped open my discman and as i was scolding him another one was chewing up my pack of cards. I drove the louts out!

i banned them from ever entering my room again, apparently thatmade thier parents even more pissed. One day my gen blew my monitor. I heard the woman next door say it served me right in Igbo. Beef!

The school was much worse. i came in there like a whirlwind trying to change things. I was horrified to hear that in the last WAEC only on egirl managed to get 6 Cs, and she was the only one out of 60 girls that passed maths. I took it upon myself to change things!
First day i got there, i launched into an impassioned speech about decency and hardwork and future career prospects and the need to move the school forward. Then i finally told them that i want an interactive class and that i wouldn't flog anybody etc. BIG MISTAKE! Once they learnt my natural aversion to beating girls and they saw i wasn't gonna flog them, it was all over. at that moment my speech cost me all hopes of enforcing discipline. Dunno why, it works in the movies grin
did the girls wanna learn? nope! in a class of about 50 girls, when im teaching you'll see 12 breaking melon into their berets, 5 sleeping, 12 giggling and passing love notes from their latest village beaus, 1 girl sweeping the class, 5 gisting with other girls thru the window. any girl i send out will come leaping thru the window next time my back is turned. It was either teach or spend the whole time enforcing discipline.
at least i was inspired to teach until i marked first term exams and half the class got 0/80. This in spite of the fact that i even solved exam-like questions in class 2 days to the exam, and i told them the same thing'll come out. they just couldn't be arsed to read.
What didnt i try? to teach computer education to Jss3 i used my own computer and my own generator. they refused to listen, just because i wouldnt cane them. Jss3 maths i asked them to buy a mathematical set so they could use for trig drawing. they refused. SS2 girls didn't know how tp use a four-figure table. I asked them to buy tables, most didnt. i asked them to photocopy the tables at the back of New General mathematics. compliance rate was like 5%. I had to give up. How the heck do you pass maths when u can't read a four figure table?
How the hell did i end up teachin pythagoras' theorem for 3 weeks, something i learnt in 30 minutes, and then 90% of them failed it in exam? WTF is hard about a2 = b2 + c2 ?

The final killer for me? My principal forced me to solve WAEC maths and physics for SS3, blackmailing me with the threat of telling my ZI about my trips to write job tests and interviews. this, after i'd been the most strident critic of exam malpractice. After that blow, i lost all enthusiasm for teaching.
The irony of it all, by me solving the maths for them, i finally made a difference in the WAEC maths result, just not in the way i hoped for grin

"I'm going to deal seriously with igbo girls!"

"BooHoo! eeeeeeh!"

Do you by chance know what caused it? That was my first time loading it.

I have used pre-paid meter for a couple of years now and I honestly can’t say categorically what causes the machine to enter tamper mode. I think it happens when the machine believes someone is tampering with it, hence it may happen when power supply comes and goes too often in a short period of time. Again, that is just conjecture.

Call the customer care agent of your power distribution company and have them give you a 20 digit number (tamper code) that you can input in the same way that you recharge and your power will be reconnected.

Alternatively, you can go to the nearest power distribution company and get the code in person.

I find it interesting that you are using the word ‘ungrateful’ to describe what is happening here. As if you were getting her the job so that she would be indebted to you?

Hmmm.

I find the situation rather sad. I’m sorry that you your hopes and dreams are slipping out of your fingers. I’m sorry that the time and energy you invested in the relationship may be coming to fruition. In this case, even though I only know what you have told us, I feel like the girl shouldn’t have started the relationship if she knew how her mother would react and she isn’t ready to rock the boat. This is especially because I know that if the girl really wanted to, she would have married you regardless of what her mother or who never is saying.

Be that as it may, it’s better that this is coming up now. Don’t push it. Let her go. You don’t have to fight for her. You can’t force her to stay.

Move on.

Personally, I wouldn’t renegade on the job arrangement if I was in your shoes. Things I would do for people I am in a relationship with would come with no strings attached and not hinged on us staying together. That you hurt me doesn’t mean that I get to hurt you back. ‍♂️

But it’s all for you to decide. Numb the pain by keeping the job away or being a good human being first and letting her know that you loved her and though she hurt you, you wish her well.

Good luck, bro.

Dear Novakk,

Whatever anyone says, whomever they say is ideal for you, you, my dear, will be the one wearing the shoe in the long run; only you will have to live with the person you eventually choose to marry, hence you may want to choose someone you have personally picked out for yourself because:

1. I believe that on different levels, you know yourself better than anyone else and you know what you can tolerate.
2. When eventually, marital problems crop (they always do), you’ll be more inclined to work through it and keep moving if your spouse is someone you choose and you two have mutual understanding.

Don’t follow ‘Pastor said that the lord revealed’. When the un revealed trials come, those pastors won’t help you oh!

Be that as it may, marry the right person for the right reasons.

Good luck.

You’ll be needing it.

1. I don't give blowjobs but it's clear that you do, and bringing up other abominations doesn't exonerate you from your abominations.
The point of making those references wasn’t to use them to justify my position. No, that would be a weak argument. The point of those references was to point out that morality is subjective, and sadly, religious folk like yourself tend to be picky about which perceived vices that should be fought against. If indeed all abominations (as provided by your religious book) were equal for you, you would be living in every single Nairaland post, screaming and preaching about everything and anything from lying to murder and people eating with their left hand and not keeping the sabbath day. You wouldn’t selectively be interested in things like homosexuality. ‍♂️

2. Supposedly your white Jesus was conceived through artificial insemination!! shocked Where is it stated that taking care of innocent children without parents is an abomination

Which one is White Jesus again? Biko, don’t veer the conversation with this one now, Abeg.

3. You are being ridiculous, the Bible/Torah/Koran tell us what kinds of food we are supposed to eat with fish being on the list. Is it stated for us to eat the fish raw?

4. No thanks, you are doing just fine being stupid all by yourself.

5. Yah is the God that I believe in, he made your pen.is to fit perfectly into a woman's vagin.a not to ram up some man's hole or to have one rammed up yours.

Pause. That the penis fits into the vagina is one of the foundations of your argument? Honey, reading up about anal sex will make most men realize that heterosexual intercourse is probably comparably underwhelming. People who have tasted both vagina and anus have sworn that the latter is tighter and snugger. But don’t take my word for it. You can ask your significant other (if you have one) to run an experiment and give you his honest opinion on how both body parts fit. Lol.

There are many demon deities that you can believe in that will support your desire to have your butthole rammed with a big fat one. grin Sorry, I didn't mean to sexually excite you. undecided This goes for women as well who participate in these perversions.

I laugh at this embarrassment. Oh wow!

pS... God knew what he was doing when he made the female vaginA to give extreme pleasure to man. Just because you get pleasure from a pole up your bottom isn't a reason to shove one up it.

Speaking from two sides of the mouth, are we?
In one sentence, you talk about how the pleasure derived from vaginal sex is proof that it’s a gift from god, in another, you decry the pleasure gotten from anal sex. Well, I don’t expect more. Double speak is something religious faithfuls and leaders are known for.
