I was walking home from work today and I came across a bunch of kids shouting (more like screaming) with joy as they played with roller blades and I couldn't help but smile as I walked passed them and it hit me that I could not remember the last time I was truly happy. There use to be a time when playing MK3 on my mega drive 2 felt like life could not get any better. It's funny how life changes as we age, I use to have real friends and relationships, all that is gone now, what is left are friends that try to manipulate situations to see what they can get out of relationships to fill the void of their yawning abyss of wants that is neither going to satisfy or make them happy. I know this because I've been there and have come to the ironic realization that I was happier as a single and broke undergrad student than I am now, a worker with a couple of girlfriends and money. I miss the old days and sometimes wish I remained 17 when life was simple and everything made sense.

I've been in this exact situation. You have got to be careful as girls like your girlfriend usually do not look back the moment they make up their mind on quitting a relationship. You might get overwhelmed at times by the attention she showers you but trust me when I say that you are gonna miss her like crazy should you decide to call it quits.

But what I'm trying to understand is, why does he reach out to her when she stops when it's obvious he's not interested? When it comes to relationships, most folks like to keep their options open, girls are especially guilty of this. There could be a number of reasons why our hypothetical friend is behaving the way he is. (1)It just might be that he is not ready to commit to a relationship but doesn't want to loose you as he enjoys the idea of having you around. (2) He is in a drama filled relationship and uses you as a cushion when his gf is acting up (3) He is not into you but enjoys the attention he gets from you so he screws with your emotions to massage his ego.
