TPAND: Poverty mentality won't let you see there's no harm in having such an amount of money in your care. It is your money and you can choose to do whatever you want with it. I keep an amount higher than that in Euro equivalent in my safe at home. How much more a Judge, who has paid his dues, earned his onus and respect as a supreme court judge. Don't becloud yourself with this Buhari's cheap defamation. Do you know you don't have sense? It's even poverty mentality that makes you keep such money in your house. You keep an amount higher than that in euro? Clap for yourself mr Rich mentality. Go and defend the judge Na. Tribalism will not let you call a spade a spade. I am from south south and I support this move with everything in me. Go and take a hard look at yourself in the mirror and be ashamed. |

fergie001: I am shocked people will support this gestapo-type arrests that is in all ramifications very wrong. What happened to common sense on reporting to the NJC to explore the means of disciplining their judges,an independent arm of the Government. if u feel uncomfortable, why not get a warrant 2 search their houses or offices as is done in saner climes. If u are still not comfortable, why not invite them after series of serious investigations. Must u arrest them in the dead of the night,by 1am?what happened to accosting him in his office in the morning or summon him to yours to clear his name. Why use d DSS whose core mandate and responsibility is to guide against"crime against the state(insecurity)". The allegations bother on financial crimes and is within the purview of the EFCC or Police. Let us not support this rubbish,as the hunter may soon become the hunted. Two wrongs don't make a right. This is unconstitutional, reckless and unacceptable in all manners of commonsense. Mind U,am Abian, and nonpartisan,Thank You. 1. They had a warrant. 2. They needed to be taken unawares. 3. It worked because DSS found evidence. 4. If I kill a snake trying to hurt u, it doesn't matter how I killed it. You will be grateful to me irrespective. 5. Kiss transformer before replying with your rubbish. |

chronique: I think you have a problem with objective resoning and comprehension. If a judge is corrupt, send in the EFCC and ICPC and let them do their job. DSS has no business with arresting people who are corrupt. Secondly,if you must arrest someone,do it in a civil manner, not breaking into their homes and destroying their properties most especially when they did not resist arrest. America and other civilized countries of the world are attractive to us becuase they follow rules and properly laid down laws. If you believe in this type of reckless way of doing things, never expect justice cos a suspect according to the law,is innocent until proven guilty. If you support this, then you have no right to speak against police brutality when metted out on you. Nigeria cannot and should not be run like a banana republic. Ah! Mr objective reasoning. So is it the agency that conducted the arrest that is your problem? Sorry. And what makes you think they didn't resist arrest? Someone has millions in his bedroom and he won't try to hide it? Hence the break in. Finally the attractive America broke international laws, went into Pakistan and killed Bin Laden. This is small. All your corrupt uncles will end up in jail. |

Using power to intimidate is also corruption So by your logic, if someone is about to kill you, I should follow the rule of law by calling the police instead of hitting the killer with a stool? Isn't that using violence to fight violence? People are committing crimes that can put your future in danger and you are here shouting nonsense. And if I may ask, what rule did they break? zicoraads: Laveda...come and confess
Personally, I am at a crossroad. First, I grew up attending our 'traditional' church, all this language churches. My grandfather attended, my parents are attending and we too must attend. But I had to sit down and ask myself about my spiritual life, and I realized I don't have any. Truth be told, sometimes, attending that church leaves you more angry. And when you are not in church on Sundays, Mom would want to kill you with calls. Now though, I just stay indoors and pretend I'm ill. And thank God she hasn't decided to visit my house one of these Sundays.
Secondly, I am starting to totally lose faith in religion. I am not one of those who claim the non-existence of God. I know God exists. My problem is I am starting to think the mode of worshiping him shouldn't be as a Christian who goes to church and a Muslim who goes to mosque. Sometimes, I even believe the Muslims have a better way of worshiping him. Forget the religious fanatics, I have read the Quran and I can authoritatively say that the Bible contains too many inaccuracies compared to the Quran.
That being said, religion has created too many problems in the world than we care to admit. Maybe we would have been better off worshiping God the way we deem fit than having so many religious groups complicating our lives. Religion has created many problems. Not Christianity. And the Bible has more inaccuracies than the Quran? Really? I don't know what you read but it's definitely not the Quran. |

Surfboard: You don't have to be insultive in making your point, I understand you're frustrated, but I'm sure I'm not th cause of your frustration, so take it easy my man.
Now, to the point about defending corruption. Have you heard the side of the Judges' story? Logic says there are at least two sides to a story and nothing can be decided until all sides are heard. Relax and let them defend themselves. The fact that you already think they're guilty is exactly the way government wants you to think.
P.s I don't support any political party, but I do love a football club with all my heart body and soul...Arsenal FC.
Have a nice day. Erm...they will be charged to court and they will say their side of the story. But meanwhile, DSS needed to raid in order to get evidence which they did. And nope am not frustrated...well, not really. And how did you like my team bearing arsenal at the beginning of the season? I have a soft spot for arsenal tho |

The despair encompassing your existence makes you hopeless for the children you will have and their children after. I DO NOT support corruption young man. You take one glance at my picture and you are already judging my personality. From my picture! That has just told me the kind of person you are. Someone who will make hasty conclusions without properly looking into things and applying reasoning. All you need to hear is "buhari" and "Fulani" and you conclude he cannot do anything right. This is why I can't argue with your superficial thinking self. And look who's calling me a yahoo boy can't even string two words together to make a correct sentence. Rubbish.
