So why did Dany claim Viserys was no dragon after he was killed by drogo? According to her, fire cannot kill a dragon. Does it mean Viserys was no targ? Also, there were always emphasis on reagher being the last dragon.

They have a tolerance. It is stated that some Targs loved their baths extremely hot and all. But they're not immune, they will die by fire. Which is why that scene with Dany didnt make any sense.

Viserys called himself the dragon. Barrister Selmy claimed Rheager was the last dragon. The way I see it, there are some targs who were called dragons and they were immune to fire. Remember when Viserys died? Dany said 'he was no dragon. Fire cannot kill a dragon'. I guess she is a dragon that's why she is immune to fire. Dunno. Just my two pens

Well, only one of them was a kingsguard and if he had killed all lannister soldiers and trant, no one would have known he did it. And he would have been in better position to protect arya. He was indeed stupid.

Sam didn't find it. And I don't think it's a loophole. Men of the night's watch have been having sex long before Sam even saw b00bs. Why I don't think the sex bit is a loophole is because the point of not fathering children or having wives is to avoid attachment. Now, sex has nothing to do with that. We know people have sex for leisure. People can have sex without forming attachments

I think men of the night's watch believe it wrong for them to have sex. Remember the scene Jon stood before thorne, slynt and aemon? He confessed he slept with ygrite and slynt suggested they behead him for it. Aemon then replied that if they decided to behead men for having sex, then they would have ghosts maning the wall. What does this tell you? They believe the law forbids them to have sex, but they do it anyway and don't effect the punishment. That's why they 'sneak'out to Mols town to have sex with prostitutes.

This thread is a show only thread. The show comes first but you can back it up with book knowledge. When the show and the book contradicts, then the show is the law.

And so did Robb I assume. But that doesn't mean Robb was a great fighter. I maintain my stance that in the books, Ned was average, judging from what I read in books once. And that quote doesn't necessarily mean he fought at the vanguard. It just meant his bannermen where his friends.

There are no loopholes. Jon is breaking his vow by leaving the Night's Watch. Who would believe him South of the Wall ? The vow says, " It shall not end until my death.", but he's alive, it's like a patient on CPR. The vow also says, " I shall live and die at my post." Live and Die. It also says, " I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." All the nights to come. The episode was Oathbreaker afterall.

I still believe that is a loophole in the vow. After all Sam found a loophole meaning men of the night's watch can have sex. He died. So hid watch has ended. It doesn't matter who believes him south of the wall. Whenever a man of the watch dies, they say 'and now his watch has ended'. Coming back to life isn't particularly a common thing at the wall so maybe they need a new law for those coming back to life . Seriously though, I don't think he is breaking any vows. And death means he can live.

1) Y bring Jon snow back..everyone predicted the red woman would bring him back and she did..What gets many of us glued to G.o.t is d unpredictable nature and their ability to make our guesses go wrong..You might say Jon has a bigger role to play.if yes then y kill him in d first place
2)The mumu attitude of the khals in the danys episode is somehow..Yes they wanted to show Dany as been strong willed and all but yet not even one khal could think of killing her,instead they just ran around like fools
3) Jon saw Hardhome and he knows that is the rral war yet hes concerned about fighting Ramsay..Yes anyone would want to rescue his brother in that situation but whats in explaining to everyother person what he saw at hardhome..
many more questions and many more fears that in the end i just pray and hope i dont get disappointed

1. Jon had to die to be free of his vows. The vow is till death and he has died. That's why he had to die. Now he is free to leave the watch. Just because we all predicted the red woman would bring him back (how many of you predicted it by the way?) doesn't mean the writers should change their story.
2. Those Khals probably though Dany would burn to death too. So their first instincts was to escape and let the crazy suicidal chick die in her own.
3. Jon doesn't want to find Ramsey. Sansa wants him to. By the way, what is he going to do when the white walkers come? He needs an army and at the moment, Ramsey has his home and rules his people and his army. So he really needs to get Ramsey out of the way first. Regards

How did the show make him better? Ned Stark fought side by side with Robert Baratheon during Robert's Rebellion.During the Greyjoy Rebellion, Robert, Stannis and Ned still still led their forces to quell the insurrection.We know that Robert loved to be at the vanguard in a battle,so if Ned fought side by side with Robert, we can infer that Ned was also in the thick of things.Ned was battle-tested and you do him disservice with this comment of yours.Khal Drogo might have been better than him but definitely not Arthur Dayne better.

Fighting in a battle doesn't make you necessarily a very good swordsman. Ned was a brilliant battle commander and was Robb. Robb won all his battles but that doesn't mean you would call him one of the best fighters in Westerous because he was not. And there was nowhere in the books was it suggested that Ned was in the vanguard. I might be wrong though.

You missed out the wooden sword that took down 5 lannister guard, until it broke against Meryn Trant. Arthur Dayne took same number down with 2 swords and full body armour. How is that a fair comparison?
The emphasis is on sword skill. He had no sword against Meryn.
Besides Syrio was the first sword of Bravos.

Don't get me wrong. Syrio was great or Ned wouldn't pay him to teach arya. But if you were going against members of the kings guard, it is expected you go with your best men. So it is safe to say, those men where Ned's best. Syrio was great (even though he was stupid. You took down five men with a wooden sword, pick up and a real sword and fight!). But being killed by trant disqualifies him albeit with a wooden sword.

I get your point of subjectivity but you should take note of the calibre of people talking.Ned, Jaime and even Ser Barristan are excellent fighters in their own right so their opinions on swordsmanship should be taken seriously.Remember the tower of joy scene when the three-eyed raven was showing the battle between Ned and Arthur to Bran, he told Bran that Arthur Dayne was FAR better than his father.The three-eyed raven apparently sees and knows everything so he should be right.I dare to say anyone who was FAR better than Ned Stark would be better than Drogo unless you want to also claim that Drogo was far better than Ned.

I don't know if you have read the books, but in the books Ned was an average swords man. The show made him better. That fight in season one he had with Jamie, if that was in the books, he wouldn't last five seconds against Jamie. So the first question is, are we judging from the books or the show? If it's from the books, you can't call great fighters and call Ned. Ned's late brother Brandon was the good swordsman in the family. But if we are going with show, Ned was OK. But there are still better fighters. I can call ten people from the show that would floor Ned. So yes. Drogo was a far better figure than Ned

No one said it directly but whenever he was spoken of, it was always with awe and reverence and this came from people like Ned Stark,Jaime Lannister and Barristan Selmy-great fighters who should know.GRRM was once asked who would win in a duel between Ser Arthur and Ser Barristan and he said that it would be an even contest only if Arthur Dayne did not use Dawn(his famed sword).From this, we can infer that in the pecking order,it's Arthur Dayne and Ser Barristan before any other.Personally, I'll go out on a limb to place Syrio Forel(Arya's dancing master) before venturing across the narrow sea. This is a quote by Jaime Lannister; ''I learned from the White Bull and Barristan the bold. I learned from Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who could have slain all five of you with his left hand while taking a piss with the right...''. This was said to members of a Kingsguard.

For those that have read the books (I am still in the second one because school work won't let me finish), we know far more than us show only watchers. I have finished the first book and Ned confessed Arthur dayne was the best he ever saw. But we should note that all these are personal opinions of the characters. Take someone like Dany for instance, if you ask her, she would say khal drogo was the best figher she ever saw. Like I said, personal view. So we can't really judge from the books. But we might be able to judge from the show. So we have a few contenders. Or let me put it this way. If you demanded a trail by combat, who will you pick to be your champion? Note, Robert is not yet a fat drunk and Jamie still has two hands.

Syrio Forel took on lannister soldiers and not members of the kings guard. The only member of the kings guard present was Merilyn trant. And trant killed him according to arya's testimony to the hound. And judging from the hound's reaction, even a stable boy with a stick will beat five Merilyn trants. So Syrio doesn't really count for me

After King's Landing and the North, there are 5 other kingdoms with a sizeable amount of people to evaluate. You don't just become the most dangerous person in the whole region because you are the most dangerous person in one region no matter how big said region is.

The north is bigger than all other kingdoms combined. Roose said it when he legalized Ramsey as a Bolton.

My believe. Melisandre isn't a fraud. She actually believes in her ability but she reads the signs from the fires all wrong. I believe stannis was only a part to Jon snow but she taunted stannis as the saviour of westerous when he was only supposed to lead her to Jon snow. She needs to start learning how to read the fires properly.

So, the greatest TV show there ever was or ever will be (see what I did there?) Will premier it's sixth season today. Season five ended with a bang! Jon snow was stabbed to death, Arya stark got blind, sansa and the on (reek) escaped Ramsey, Briene killed stannis, Cercie got disgraced by the faith militant, Daeneris got captured by the dothraki, tyrion starts to rule mereen and the Dornish women killed Mycela. So who's story are you most excited about? Me, I am just excited about the red woman and sir Davos seaworth. Now that Stannis is dead, what will be their purpose? Can't wait!!!
