Isaiah 3v4-5 which you quoted is making direct reference to the people of Judah and also applies to the world at large when there's iniquity. That's the kind of thing that happens when God is left out in the affairs of an individual or a family or a nation. Such people can't get the best in life but instead, upside down. You could read verses 8-10.
Verse 6 is as desolate as Isaiah 4:1. It says 'a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, THOU HAST CLOTHING, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand'. Its a time of judgement that is been spoken of here, not the frivolity that some have been wishing on this thread. Its going to be full blown at the time of great tribulation just before Christ's second coming WITH his saints. Verse 7 tells us that even the man that they're begging to rule will decline. Its not a time of 4th term. Its a time nobody should pray to experience.
Its in that day that men will be scarce, so scarce that seven women shall take hold of one man, in the hope of taking away their reproach. Its good that we should be watchful, prayerful and righteous as we wait for Jesus.

May 27 Proverbs 27v18


18. Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honored.


Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof. Come to think of that. Many people rarely think about that. They would rather pass the buck; I'm not a farmer, the tree is not mine, I met it there like that, I have other things to do.
People have become irresponsible because they pass the responsibility to everyone else but themselves. But whoso keeps the fig tree shall eat the fruit. You don't have to wait for the government. That gutter can be clean, that pothole can be filled.
You know sometimes, in some areas, there's always this time consuming hold-up because there's a pothole in one street that all the cars must pass through everyday. And then we keep on going through 'hell' and blaming government for being irresponsible. Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit, he that serves his master shall be honoured. Get serving, keep on serving, don't be weary of well doing, you will be honoured. It may be by your master, it may be by someone else, but you'll be honoured. Be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatever a man sowr, he will reap.

Grace is still available for every sinner, whether unbeliever or believer that committed sin. Disgrace, wrath and judgement is coming upon ANY who continues to live in sin, whether the sinner admits it or not.
The servant of sin is not a servant of God as No Man can serve two masters. Whosoever commits sin is THE SERVANT OF SIN.

One of the purposes that Jesus gave for saving him (Paul) was to help to turn others from the power of Satan unto God. No wonder Paul had uncommon insight into the things of God. Some things that we could just look as normal and harmless, were exposed by his writings as of the flesh and not of God.
Christians need to know that satan has power. Jesus spoke of the power of Satan in our Today's passage. Many today under-rate the enemy at their peril. They've been so deceived to believe that the devil is harmless. That was what Eve also thought.
The devil is the god of this world. He controls a lot of the system of things. We are not to be ignorant of him or of his devices. Many 'christians' have being made prey by satan and have become entangled with his ways! But reading through and obeying the instructions given to us by God through Paul, we can be turned from the power of Satan to God. Thats why we don't just dismiss his writings as just his idea, or just for some group of people. All scripture is given by inspiration of God. That's the way Paul saw it, that's the way Peter saw it, that's the way the early church took it. Lets go on the same road to Heaven.

O my gads! Almost ignited armageddon. Advice is to cringe as I await the reply of the others. The presence of Christ truly brings out the antichrist vent in atheists. Mazaje's so full of questions and confusions. The reason why Jesus is the way is because He is the way. Now before that throws you off the chair, let me add that true followers of Christ have KNOWN Christ. They've experienced the new life. Its a definite experience and change. Others around have seen a real transformation as to agree that this one has received something (in this case Jesus).
I'm not against knowledge. Its just that you have the wrong knowledge. You remind of sometime ago when I was to write an exam. There was this mate who wasn't reading with us, who said his brain was full. He went on to fail although his brain was full. Thats why I'm telling you not to be too full of yourself and of 'knowledge'. What you know and you're so full of may not even be part of the syllabus. If you'll humble yourself and give room/space for real knowledge, you'll be saved from the wrath to come. The serpent I'm alluding to is the Devil who has stung men with sin. Your Bible knowledge is so poor, yet you try to force your views about it on others. You can read Matthew 5v3 and more if perhaps it would give you some tranquility.

You said your heart is heavy with pain, you cried to the point Of DYING, you said you're almost running mad and that you NO LONGER mean much to him! What more will qualify as chains. He's long gone. You're not married, you don't have children together and He's doing THESE? Well you asked 'what do I do?' that's why I told you to give your life and your love to Christ and allow Him to guide you in your next relationship. It's an advice anyway, not a command. May 25 Proverbs 25v28

28. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

The Proverbs were written at a time when superiority among kings was shown by conquest of land. Kings and Kingdoms conquered neighbouring land and continued to expand as much as possible. It would have been absurd to find a city without walls, except it were broken down or conquered like Jericho. It would be plain foolish.
In our days too, security is tight. We've built all kinds of walls and borders, from brick to electric walls to even laser walls. Walls are important. In our lives too, walls are important. Self control, restriction is necessary. We need to have rule over ourselves. It is a fruit of the Spirit called temperance (self-control) . Discipline falls under it. Christians cannot operate on the spur of the moment. It is dangerous. It is like a city that is broken down and without walls. Enemies can invade at any minute.
God wants us to be in as much control as possible. Its against the Spirit if food, or alcohol, or nicotine, or anything else possesses you. Flee addictive things. Be safe. Have self-control. Have rule over yourself.

When will people stop being so full of themselves? The requirement for life is that if any man thirst, let him come and drink FREELY. Salvation is so free. Humble yourself Chrisbenogor, Mazaje, Bindex, Huxley, Bastage, Duduspace and others.
John 3v14,15

Herein lies the basis for being a Christian. In there is why we all must be christians. Judgement is coming on the human race. The human race has being, as it were, bitten by the serpent and set to perish. But Jesus Messiah has come to save us ALL. What we should all do is to look and live, look to Jesus lifted up on the cross and live.
Complaining about why we were allowed to be bitten, and postulating theories and laws will not save us from our present predicament. What will save us is to look up and live. Its not difficult to look up. It doesn't cost anything. Don't be fooled by pride. How is it that the cure is simply to look up and someone is too proud to look up, and would rather die angry with God and with Moses! Beats me. Don't be full of yourself and knowledge. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God.

May 24 Proverbs 24:10

10. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.


People tend to think that one (man) must fall when challenges come. But that's not the way with God. Even when things look bleak, 'cause they sometimes do, we've to rejoice evermore or is it exceedingly? We're to be strong in weakness, we're to against hope believe in hope.
You'll have thought that there's no better time to faint than in the day of adversity. But God's Word says that 'if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small'!
If you give up or give in when trouble comes, your strength is small. The possessor of the divine life never faints! Have you not heard or known that God does not faint, and for this cause we faint not? Keep on standing, whatever the situation. You've got the power of God in you.

You're getting it all wrong. David has explained it to you but I'll just add this to help. What you're missing about John6v44 and the other references is that God has done His part. He's done what He needs to do about your and my salvation. All you need to do is respond.
'No one can come to me except the Father draw him', yes. The question should be when will that be? Your thought is that maybe He'll draw this one and not draw the other one. But what does the Bible say? What does Jesus say? The Bible says we have already been DRAWN. He has drawn all men, everybody. Thats what I quoted in John12v32.
And I(Jesus), if I be lifted up from the earth, WILL DRAW ALL men UNTO me.
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
The Bible, the same John's gospel says He'll draw all men when Jesus was lifted up i.e crucified. Jesus has been crucified, all men have been drawn. Its now up to every individual to 'draw nigh' as Davidylan quoted.
You know, the beautiful thing about the Bible is that it is complete. Thats the way you can benefit from it, in its complete form. Picking and choosing one phrase, verse or book will likely confuse and condemn you. The Bible verses are best understood in the light of the whole scriptures. You're not to hold one and run while denying the other part(s). The scripture is replete with passages that tell everyone to come and receive Christ freely. You cant hold 1or2 passages as evidence and true and be in denial of the cloud of evidence that suggest otherwise. WHOSOEVER will, let him come.
One thing that must be said though is that we all come on God's terms. We come by grace. We become saved, christians, followers of God by grace, not by our good works. That comes later. You don't put the cart before the horse. Our works and piety is not what brings us to Jesus, its the grace, mercy of God. No man can come to me, except the Father draw him. The Father has drawn. The grace of God has appeared to ALL men. Thats what runs all through the new testament. That grace is available for you. Jesus can save the worst and the best of sinners. All you need to do is believe it. Whosoever believes in Jesus has eternal, everlasting life.

you'll not find John6v44 so disturbing or confusing if you're a student of the Word. If you just take the pain to read the book of John complete, you'll find your answers. Its in the same John's gospel that Jesus talks about Searching the scriptures.

If you're collected enough, you notice that Jesus says He'll draw all men. All men have been drawn, it is left for each individual to humble himself before God and He'll lift you up. His hands are outstretched while it is called Today, if you respond by stretching your own, He'll lift you up. Thats the 'much touted' free-will we're talking about. It is not God's will that any should perish but that all should COME to repentance. It takes your coming before you can be a christian. It takes your FOLLOWING even after coming. Only followers are true christians.

Even so come Lord Jesus.

May 22 2Samuel 22v33

33. God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.



They call this chapter David's song of deliverance, and you can see why right from verse 1. King David lived an enviable life. A favoured life. Remember when prophet Samuel came to David's family house and the father Jesse presented all his brothers. Absent David was more favoured ahead of his present and quality brothers.
David was a man after God's heart. A bold man and very successful in all that he put his hand to. What was his secret? God. Nothing else but God. David put his trust, hope, belief and confidence in God, thats why he prospered.
Although he had many qualifications, but God was the centre and the surround of it all, the alpha and omega.
He said God is my strength and power. No wonder he was so successful in all battles of life. He said he makes my way PERFECT. Little wonder he was a man after God's heart. Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. David allowed God to do it. He didn't see it as impossible or ridiculous to live a righteous life. God maketh my way perfect. Put God in charge today. Make Him truly Lord, then He can make your way PERFECT. Believe and trust Him.

Why ask why? Why am I male? Why am I educated? Why am I a christian? Why am I born into a rich family? such questions are not as important as what you do from where you find yourself. BTW, do you know what it means to be a christian or a christain?
Irrespective of what religious background you may have today, it is good to note that man is a free moral agent. We all make decisions/ are capable of making decisions. The words of our Lord Jesus kind of captures and addresses your worries.
Matthew 19:12 says ' for there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of Heaven's sake. '
You could easily use the word 'christian' there instead of 'eunuch' to help explain the analogy to you. People follow God for various reasons, the important thing is that you follow God. Some make decision to follow God because a loved one died, some because they were at a church meeting or crusade, some because they read a book, some its a dream, some were pushed to it maybe by poverty, enemy, fear, culture, whatever.
Some are born eunuchs, some people truly follow God because they were born into a godly home/environment. (we've seen terrible unbelievers who were born and raised in a godly environ. Its your decision/choice).
Some are made eunuchs by men. Some people follow God/are christians because of their exposure. The listened to the right people, gone to the right churches, read the right books and tracts that influenced their decisions to be followers of God.
Others have made themselves eunuchs for The Kingdom Of God's sake. They made themselves. Despite lack of exposure or living in an atheist and unbelieving environment, they decided to follow God. They didn't sit down in darkness giving excuses or asking for proof or coming up with endless questions and mockings.
Jesus said, he that is able to receive it let him receive it. It depends on you. You can decide to follow God today. You can accept Jesus today, no matter your circumstance, upbringing or belief. Making excuses that 'you're only a christian because of such and such' will not do. Jesus has opened the way and left us all without excuse. All we need to do is Only Believe.

its bad to hear, but you're in chains. Don't sit in darkness, Jesus can save you. All you need to do is believe that he can save you and invite him to save you. You've tied your love and life to a man, thats why you're almost dying and 'running mad'. The best of your love should be for God, to love the Lord your God with All your heart and All your soul and ALL your might. After that, others can fall in including yourself. That's the Bible manual, thats what can keep you from being moved or having a 'heart heavy with pain'. As you give your life to Christ, allow Him to guide you in your next relationship, so that you don't FALL in love again.

Psalm 84v11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

May 21 Numbers21v16

16. And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the Lord spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.


Herein lies another important lesson that we must continue to remember as believers. The gathering of believers is always beautiful. God does marvelous things in believers' fellowship. The new testament enjoins us not to forsake assembling.
If you've never heard this before, please listen. There are some things you'll NEVER receive from God outside the gathering/church/fellowship/assembly. It may differ from person to person but there're requests that you make to God, whose answers are only receivable in church. Don't forsake it. Its for your own good, not pastor's. The Lord spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, AND I WILL give them water. Learn to gather together with God's people more often and regularly, and God will Give.
Its a call from God to His appointed leader Moses, not to a self appointed leader. Trust and obey, for there is NO OTHER WAY to be happy IN Jesus.

May 20 2Chronicles 20:23

23. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

Are you a christian? Are you a child of God? God your Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is strong and mighty. You know its like a child who has a Doctor for/as a Father. He calls him father, dad, but when he goes to see him at work, he hears Dr, Doctor, Doctor. Even some neighbours call him Dr. You can see his work.
There's a song that says that the Father is known under the earth as the man of war. The God and prince of peace is an expert in war, the man of war, mighty in battle. Glory to God. He's got different tactics against your enemies. He says he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of God's eye. Now, that's rough play. And it will stop, because the children of Ammon and Moab will stand up against Mount Seir to totally destroy them on your behalf. And if they do not learn from that, if they do not LEARN from that, they'll help to destroy one another. The battle is the Lord's. Who can battle with the Lord? Child of God, you're more than conquerors already.

Our passage says the name of the Lord is a strong tower. It is a place of refuge. It is the secret place of the Most High. It is a good thing to know the name of the Lord and to think upon His name. It opens doors. It brings blessings. It is written in God's book of remembrance.
The name of the Lord is powerful. The righteous runs into it, and is safe. You know today, some strange 'christians' say "I know I'm not righteous, I'm not holy, I'm just trying my best". Well, such people cannot run into the name of the Lord and be lifted up. It is righteousness that qualifies you for safety. There is safety in the name of God, there is the extra that makes you different from the ordinary. There is the 'super' that sets you apart from the 'natural'. Get righteousness and RUN to the name of the Lord today.
