March 17 Acts 16v33 Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe.Today, believers are fast losing obedience. The ability to just obey, to trust and obey knowing that there is no other way. That's the christian's behaviour. Many today will only obey,if at all, after much persuasion. Many more need bible gymnastics, books and concordance research, forums and intellectual debates before they can say okay,I'll do it. The man in our text (the Phillipian jailor) received Christ. He took Paul and Silas the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. The Love of God was reigning in him.He wasn't calculating or rationalizing if he would lose his job or if his boss will be happy. What mattered was that God was happy with what he did.And then,he was baptized,he and all his straightway.Straightway,Immediately! He didn't need to be almost forced and threatened before he submitted for water baptism. He did not need sermons and classes before he could make up his mind.He just obeyed.O for a heart like his,a new heart, the mind of Christ. |
@junijustin I disagree. Here comes a lawyer. It's not about being in the new testament or old testament. What scriptures do you think the early christians read more often? The Word of God is addressed to me.I will keep it.I've got grace, that's why. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. I wonder why the least and lighter matters of the law keep getting the front page. |
@obatoro and co So the bible is not God's word it only contained God's word? Funny! The above trash logic has been over condoned.maybe that's why it keeps repeating itself.Abeg obatoro,no vex say na during your shift o.Mr please read for yourself, have you ever read that Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils, not a tenth of the king of sodom's property? It would help if you read the whole chapter i.e Genesis 14 Genesis 14:1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations; Gen 14:2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar. Gen 14:9 With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five. I believe its obvious from the chapter that the king of sodom and his friends were up against stronger kings. Genesis 14:4 Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. Genesis 14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. Gen 14:15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. Gen 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people. Abram went and defeated those opposition kings that toook Lot.He smote them.He took their spoils. That's what happens in any battle. It was of this spoils/income/proceeds that he paid tithes. He didn't take a tenth of sodom's stuff. Gen 14:23 That I will not take from a thread even to to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich: Jacob's payment of tithe was a vow (conditional and a personal decision , not compulsion). And it was never mentioned that he gave tithe again. Even when he got some sheep from Laban he didn't give any as tithe. .Simply funny stuff. What is a vow? |
@KunleOshob You have just repeated the lie often told by the pulpit to justify the collection of tithes in monetary form. For your information money was widely in circulation at the time the tithe law was passed, but money was never a tithable item cos tithe was food meant to be eaten in the house of God to assit your understanding please read and meditate over deut 14:22-29 which says:when will you learn new tricks?lipshell did not even say that there was no money.May you learn in meekness. Besides hebrew 7 makes it crystal clear that theHebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; This tithing above is clearly before Moses Hebrews 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. Tithers and tithe receivers should be commended as shown above. Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. Tithing in vogue . Hebrews 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest, This priest will collect tithe like Melchisedec. Hebrews 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. |
@Ovamboland The issue is not just about misuse of the the tithe funds but the bigger issue is that God no longer requires or commands tithes from believers contrary to what a lot of our pastors preach from the pulpit. Only true free-will giving, not of necessecity or compulsionAll this noise about free will offering.Free will offering was part of the old covenant as well.Infact,I'm still looking for that word free will offering in my new testament KJV Bible.Help me find it please. Deu 16:10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: Justice, mercy also exist in societies that have nothing to do with the 'law', it is not an exclusive attribute of Jews and Christians alone. What Jesus meant there is that the main purpose of the entire law is to foster justice, mercy, etc. but Perverts(Pharisees) have emphasised an enviable system (tithing) for show-offs and selfish ends. Hope you understand. The verse is not meant to rest a doctrine on but to show hypocrisy of the Pharisee.Tithing and percentage giving is not restricted to the Jews either. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |
I'm really grateful to you guys. Its been rhema in truth.Keep it coming |
@SirJohn @Image123,I've been fulfilling the law all this while my brother.I pay my tithes in love, not in fear or watever. Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. B T W,you should always remember that tithing was before the law.Abraham's giving was validated as tithes in Hebrews7 fyi |
Don't worry,you're close to it. |
@ttalks and co Its unfortunate to have false preachers in or midst and churches, but they should in no way stop us from doing good.We do not obey God because pastors are holy or unholy.Whether pastors are holy,we pay tithes and even when they are not holy,we still do the commandments of God.Two wrongs do not make a right. If you're not satisfied with your pastors, why don't you meet him and discuss, and more importantly interceed earnestly for him.Or just move to a church where they are pleasing God and doing His will? I've tried reading through all the posts made after my previous post.It seems the major query or focus of attention of the antitithe people now is that tithe is of the law and we are no more under the law. I've made reference to that before by quoting the words of Jesus in Matthew 23v23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. I have asked and I ask. Since we are no more under the law,are we to do away with mercy, faith, judgement, the weightier matters of the law? I mean,we should have the woes that belong to hypocrites if we do away with tithes(a light thing/part in the law) and hold on to the weightier parts of the law like faith and mercy. |
March 11 Psalms 11v1 Psalm 11:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? Simply incompatible.Yes. Faith and fear are not compatible. You can't have them together. The Psalmist was surprised at the suggestion of fear.He exclaimed,"how say ye to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain?".It's good to know who you are and what you have. If you do,the devil cannot toy with you.If only you put your trust in God,O my,there will be nothing to be afraid of,nothing to be worried about. You need to have your foundations sure and secure by faith in the Son of God.In the Lord I put my trust. It would have been different if my trust was in my uncle,or in my company,or my job,or my mother,or my child,or even myself,or my pastor,or my investments,or mine abilities, capabilities and skills. In the Lord put I my trust. You can't tell me to be afraid. Flee as a bird to your mountain? Thats not for me.I don't understand that one.Its for the enemy. Its for the adversary. It is the devil that will flee from me.It is sickness that will flee.It is fear that will flee. I put my trust in Jehovah. He is enough. He is able. His name oozes ability.Don't ever tell my soul to fear again.I am on the Lord's side. |
Galatians 5:1-4Tithing does not justify us.No form of giving does.We do not pay tithes because we want to be justified. We are already justified. We pay tithes because we know that we are not our own but belong to God,thats why we give tithe and mor than tithes to God in church. Some of the galatians thought their salvation was incomplete without circumcision, thats why they were warned .Salvation is in Christ Jesus, not by keeping the law. |
lets face it, can theyWhat are you facing again. The Bible says they can fall. 1Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall |
Oprah is not a pastor, neither is she a prefessed righteous person.Don't get discouraged by her view. You do all to stand, and look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of the faith. |
@ttalks,sirjohn and co. Well,it seems my explanations were clear. I want to believe that you are at least gaining something.I’m hoping you’ll not come up with excuses that tithes are not paid in a particular way such as Deuteronomy 14 again. One problem with most anti tithe people is that they are ever learning and yet, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. I’m hoping for a change though.Because many times, you discuss with these people and they say tithes are for levites, and then you explain about how others collected tithe before levi, and they go on to another excuse like tithes should be old covenant and then you explain, and they go on to tithe should be eaten by you,and then you explain, and they go on to something else, and you explain. Then to your surprise, they come back with one of the things that had been earlier explained clearly as if you’ve never mentioned it. It’s a useless circle. Lets learn and grow, not just argue without purpose,or just to win argument. We’re not in the law court. Here, you’re talking about tithe being redundant because it was written in the old testament. The clear understanding you need to have is the exact law that we’re no more obliged to keep. You can’t just dismiss anything/everything simply because it is written in the old testament. It will be I say IMPOSSIBLE to practice Christianity that way.Firstly, its just difficult and impossible for me to delete the Words of Christ in Matthew23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. I’m asking,if tithe is part of the law that should be done away with,Are we to do away with the weightier matters of the law which Jesus listed, like judgement, mercy and faith? You people keep on ringing tithe is law, tithe is old testament, old testament does not apply.I’m asking, are the passages below irrelevant to us,new testament Christians? Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deut 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Some have said Matthew 23v23 is during old covenant. How do we now know which words of Jesus are to be taken serious? Are we to throw away all the chapters in the gospels before His resurrection?where exactly are we supposed to start reading from. The apostles of Christ and the early Christians quoted, read and obeyed the scriptures.Paul the apostle came with offerings to the temple. Act 24:17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings. Act 24:18 Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult. There’s talk about fulfilling the law by love. Its baffling then that you think you’re doing good service by forcing people not to give. Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Every true Christian should encourage giving, whatever form it takes.Tithe, offering, cash, kind whatever. 2Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. |
March 10 Proverbs 10v4 Pro 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand.He becomes, that means he leaves his present state to become poor. From good to bad,or worse still from bad to worse. Why? Because he deals with a slack hand.He is not firm, not diligent, not disciplined. In other words,he takes things too easy. Slack, not firm enough, not doing things at the right time, procrastinating. But the hand of the diligent makes rich.It takes you to higher ground.Do not take things loosely, with a slack hand.It will make you poor.It will steal from you.Procrastination is a theif. It can still your joy, your promotion, your money, your time, your life.He becomes poor that deals slackly.Christians, let's be diligent. This is our path to riches. |
Psalms 118:27 God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. |
sigh and slam the door |
I’ve previously asked how it is possible to eat something(tithe) by yourself and at the same time give the same thing (tithe) to someone else.I got a foggy answer, because its not possible.Like they say,you can’t eat your cake and have it back. The passages are not contradicting one another. Its simply that there are different types/kinds of tithes(one tenth). There were some to be eaten by the individuals and their family and co at a specific place i.e in Jerusalem see below Deuteronomy 12:6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: Deu 12:7 And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee. See verse 17a and 18a for emphasis Deu 12:17a Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, Deu 12:18a But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: There was another tithe(simply one over ten of your profit/produce/increase) that was to be eaten at home by the individuals and others. Deuteronomy 14:28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: Deu 14:29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. This one is at home, within your gates, different from the one eaten at Jerusalem. This was was even every 3 years I think.See also Deu 26:12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled I don’t know if you can see already that there are different tithes.Yet,these above tithes are different from the tithes paid in Jerusalem. There’s a tithe paid in the temple, not eaten by you but paid.Jesus said ye pay tithe, the Pharisee when praying said “I give tithe”.This one is not the one that was eaten, This one was given, paid to the temple. Nehemiah 13:11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. Neh 13:12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries. Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. It was brought to the storehouse,to the treasuries. This one was said to belong to God. Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD. Lev 27:31 And if a man will at all redeem aught of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. This is the tithe that was given to the Levites by God. Numbers 18:21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. For the service of the tabernacle. The children of Levi were made up of Gershon,Kohath and Merari.Aaron and his sons were from under Kohath. They were the priests. The Levites remaining were to take care of the services of the tabernacle. Num 18:23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance. Of course not all of them were in the temple, they were between the ages of 30 and 50 I think.Others were the neighbours that must be catered for by the other Israelites along with widows, poor and co. Num 4:39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, So from the above,we can see that the tithes were simply different 1/10s.I think it was a beautiful way to curb greed and coveteousness, and stop the rich getting richer and richer while the poor was getting poorer.Imagine if every rich man was to give out and share 30% of His income with others, before thinking of his own needs? It all still boils down to giving.A Christian gives.A Christian doesn’t need all the conviction and surety in the world to give, especially to them of the household of faith. |
@ttalks and others As much as I may like scholastic study of scriptures,I’ll still prefer if we obeyed the word of God in simple trust and obedience. All this show me where attitude, and then we have to comb from this passage to this and that passage and then we now decide after it seems we’ve been pushed to the wall,I’m not sure that is faith. The Word of God is plain, both old and new testament.infact the old testament was in greater circulation during the time of the early church and that was what they all read and lived by.And the Word of God still is that THESE OUGHT YE TO HAVE DONE(Matt 23v23).Thats clear enough.Tithes ought to be done. Those words are in the Bible. Those are the words of Jesus. Those should be enough for any real Christian. Only maybe 2arguments remain. One is the weak argument that Jesus was talking to Pharisee. Its weak because whatsoever was written was written for our learning. Its an argument of convenience for the self life/flesh when we begin to say that was written to only Timothy, that was written to Corinth alone, that was written to Pharisee or Sadducee. The Word of God is for us.We could as well say that for God so loved the world is written to Pharisee,or that many are called and few are chosen is for Pharisee,or render to caesar the things that are caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s was speaking to Pharisees. So many other passages and parables where Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees but it was penned down as the good news(gospel) for us. The other argument is that the way we pay tithes today is not the way they paid tithes in the old testament. That brings up Deuteronomy 12 and co.I’ll like to say again.Tithe is simply a tenth, one tenth,1/10 .And it is a tenth of anything,it doesn’t have to be fruits or animal produce. It also doesn’t have to be money. Its just a tenth of anything.Abraham gave tithe of spoils i.e a tenth of spoils. Hebrews 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. Heb 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. Jacob promised to give tithe/a tenth of all that was given him. Genesis 28:22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. Again I say,it doesn’t have to be of mint or rue or goats. It could be a tenth of what you believe God gives you.Thats why you can give tithe of your salary,of your profit,of your income. The word tithe is usually written in plural which is an indication that it is not singular. What I’m saying is that it should clearly show that there’re different types and kinds of tithes.Tithe is itself a form of offering/giving.There are different types and kinds of giving as well.In the same way,Offerings should suggest to you that there are different kinds and types, not just one offering. For example there is burnt offering, drink offering, wave offering, sin offering and so on.They are different types but they are all offerings. All forms of giving. There are also different kinds of offering. One can offer praise, offer your heart, offer your time,talent/skill,yourself,your money.they are all offerings.the gist is that in the same vein, there are different types of tithe/tithes. |
March 8 Psalm 8v6 Psalms 8:6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: I'm informed that everyone knows that man is special.Believers and unbelievers are saying it.Learned and unlearned people share it.Athiests, agnostics and religious people, scientists, pastors, they all know that man is special. If you don't know, well now you know.Man is higher than any living thing. It is God's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.Man is amazed by himself.Researchers even say that man is presently working at a low capacity and ability.Think about that! With all these modern modern, jetage,IT,and so on,we could still do far better. So it means that we've not arrived.God has put all things under our feet. How we need God in our lives to show us how we ought to go about acheiving our dominion.he has given it to us already. We need to walk in it.Possess it and get higher and brighter as the days go by.Walk in the dominion that God has given you.Take charge of circumstances. |
Who told you that tithe is a law?.Don't you know that freewill offerings were done under the law?You guys always miss it.Tithe is not the law.Giving is not the law,yet love is the fulfilling of the law.Tithe is a form of giving and it should be done cheerfully as love should be done cheerfully |
@ttalks I'll like to ask a question.Numbers 18:26 says Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up a heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. and then that Deuteronmy passage says they are to eat their tithes. Is it possible for the children of Israel to eat their tithes and then give their tithe to the priests at the same time? Is that place contradicting? |
2Corinthians 7:6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; |
yes sir |
@o9999 I NEED HELPI am a bit confused about tithing and would like you lot to help me come to a good decision.Tithe is a tenth, simple.Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; It is 1/10 of what comes in,whether cash or kind. You get the impression that many tihe because God will bless/punish them.Very true.there are different motives and driving forces for doing things. Some people gave their lives to Christ because they're afraid of going to hell, some because they will love to go to heaven, some for other purposes.More importantly, they are saved and keeping the commands of God. I'll like to ask you?which one will be more pleasing in God's sight?praying or reading bible?they're both right and should both be done.Don't substitute one for the other |
@kunleOshob For you to know that Jewish laws don't apply to christians read romans 10:4, Galatians chapter 3 and also chapter 5.How many times and years will it take to tell you and remind you that tihe is not a Jewish law.it was practised before Israel was conceived.Do you keep forgetting,or you just decide you must be correct by force |
@richjohn -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Even if you open the door for prisoners to escape I can bet with anything that you'd find out some people will not make an attempt of escape those adocating for tithe and supporting it dont have Hebrews 7 in their bibles.Whats your problem with Hebrews7?Have kunle and co deceived you? There were different offerings in the old testament and various sacrifices.I guess christians should also not give offerings again or present sacrifices abi? |
March 7 Acts 7v6 Act 7:6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years. In Today's passage,we're reminded of God telling Abraham about his descendants and what was to happen to them.Imagine that! This was before the 12 sons/tribes of Israel were born. This was before Moses. This was before Esau and Jacob. It was even before Isaac and Ishmael.Yet God was thinking about Abraham's descendants. It's an encouragement for us to take no thought.Do not be worried or anxious.God is thinking about you.He knew about you before your mother was born.I said before they gave birth to your mother. He had plans for you before you started school and while you were still trying to write 1,2,3 and recite A-Z.If you've given your life to God,I can assure you. God is thinking good concerning you.Thoughts of joy, thoughts of peace, thoughts that will help you, to give you an expected end.Leave satan to deal with fears and worries.Connect with God's thoughts and plans. It is well with the righteous. The Scriptures say it is well with you.God is able. |
Give and it shall be given unto you. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. These are the words of Jesus my lord. The words of sirjohn and kunleoshob vanish into nothingness and adsurdity anytime I think of or hear or see the words of Jesus. @ovamboland i told you it is difficult for people to unlearn what they've been fed with for a long time. Image, can you step back and look at that verse 'these ought ye to have done' is it reffering to you a Christian? I wonder why you're not recommending the 'woe unto you' part of that statement. I will just say you have a problem with comprehensionFor God so loved the world was told to a pharisee by Jesus,it changes lives.I claim it.The Word of God works for me.i'm not ready to remove any passage.Matthew 23v23 is scripture.it is truth.it is light |
Did the apostles have their bath?prove it . |
I pay tithes.I'm not under bondage.God supplies my needs and keeps the devourer far away. Its ignorance to think that paying tithe is bondage.Sure, there's an abuse of giving as there's an abuse of so many things, but paying tithes is for real and for life and ordained by my Lord God Jesus.bite yourself. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |
