midolian:
…90% of Nigerians buy above N87/litre — NOI Polls

Oil marketers, Tuesday, blamed the Federal Government for the persistent fuel scarcity, even as the fuel crisis continued unabated across the Federal Capital Territory and most parts of the country.

One of the marketers who spoke to Vanguard in Abuja, said Nigerians should hold the Federal Government responsible for the crisis, stating that the government has, against all advice and agreements, refused to pay the marketers the debts owed them in respect of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, PMS.

The marketer who chose to remain anonymous, said the Federal Government appears not to be serious about bringing the scarcity to an end, as the government has failed to honour most of the agreements reached between it and the marketers.

The marketer said, “Nigerians should blame the Federal Government for the fuel scarcity currently witnessed across the country. Marketers have shown commitment towards ending the scarcity, but the Federal Government has not been serious about abiding with certain agreements reached during some of our meetings.

“The fact that most oil marketers have stopped fuel importation into the country at the moment was because they do not have money to finance the import and this is because the Federal Government has refused to pay us the money they owe us.

More details soon..

Akpabio is a good and I guessed readily agreeable example of a person that has tangible achievements. He met the three criteria I mentioned which are Completion of project, Standard of project, and relative Debt-free status of project.
The Gej so called achievement is far from complete, debt ridden and not quality standard.

It would be ok if Buhari decides to probe GEJ's administration but it shouldn't stop there.

He should probe the billions OBJ spent on the power sector .
Buhari should also explain what happened to the $2.8bil that disappeared under his watch.

He should ask Fashola why he refused to sign the FOI bill so we know how much Tinubu gets monthly.
He should probe APC governors, especially Ogbeni Rauf, let Rauf explain what happened to his state's allocation.
What 2.8billion are you talking of? What useless FoI are you on about? Is it the one where every official and person is claiming anonymity and doesn't want to be named by media, or the one that hid PWC audit report, or the one that didn't tell us how much Gej is giving Alameisagha or how much our politicians are collecting?

Sirniyeh:
Pls, we need those who understand Bible to shed light on this issue.
The real issue is "What do you need the light for?" Energy conservation is not only physical you know?

Where is it written in the bible that Jesus will die at age of 33?
Where is it written in the Bible that Jesus died at the age of 33?

Where is it written in the bible before Jesus was born that He will die on the cross?
Jesus Himself said that He would be hung on a tree for the purpose of salvation, and that people will look to Him to live like it was done in the wilderness in the time of Moses.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Num 21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Num 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Num 21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

ALSO, the Psalms and Prophets are quite descriptive of the crucifixion idea.
Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
Psa 22:17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Where is it written as prophecy that he will die for the sin of man kind?
Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

It's unfortunate that most obsessed christians will not want to dissect to know that which is the truth.

it's very conspicuous that Jesus died for his
1. Lukewarmness
2. Cluelessness
3. Over confidence

No controversy about that!
It's unfortunate you feel that way.

While on the Cross, jesus lamented, He screamed:

"GOD WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

That was when he realised his mistake. He entered a town and began preaching, claiming their is a Super King that is more powerful than King Herod. They sought for him. He had priviledge of escape because Peter and co were ready to protect him. That was where his mistake lied. He never knew he could be killed. He insinuated perhaps he could convince the king as well. But eventually he regretted his action.

Who can go to sambisa forest to preach to Shekau?

That's foolishness. He died for his mistake and not my sin

Now, after agreeing with you that it is a command, here is where my inquisitiveness flares up
Is this "command", a situational or universal one?
Why the "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. I suffer not a woman to TEACH, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence"?
Was there anything prevailing that warranted Paul dishing out this course of words or action?
What other "command(s)" apart from this particular has Paul given?
Let's not assume, we cannot be working on assumption and maybes. Do you agree it is a command? If not, why not? Also, how do you determine that a command is situational or universal, any tangible proof or reason?

Where it is "If not" or it's "If so" and without bringing "earth or heaven", why not should it be a discussion or Q&A session?
There's nothing to fear in having a discussion or Q&A session except fearing that obscure details might get exposed

Matthew 10:26
Therefore fear them not. For nothing is covered that shall not be revealed: nor hid, that shall not be known.

Mark 4:22
For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.

Proverbs 10:9
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.
i'm not afraid of having a discussion or Q&A session, neither did i hint so. You or the OP say that the 1Corinthians passage is a Q&A session between Paul and the Corinthians. i simply ask WHY DO YOU THINK it is a Q&A session?
Christianity Etc › Re: Big Issue! Why Didn't Redemption Stop Women's Childbirth Pain Caused By Eve? by Image123(m): 9:44pm On May 03, 2015
@radicalove and co,
Like i said earlier, the issue of sin and redemption is PRIMARILY spiritual, every other thing is an add-on. Human beings are spiritual entities or are meant to be. Our spirit is supposed to be primary though what many revert to nowadays is physical or bodily well being and living over and above the inside. When man was made, God told him that he would die the day he disobeyed.

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

When man disobeyed, the real him(his spirit) died. To die basically means to be separate. When you die physically, your soul is separated from your body. When the bible talks of the believer dying daily or dying to the world or so, it basically means to be separate. So Adam(man/humanity) died, becoming separate from God. God is a Spirit, angels are ministering spirits as well. What is PRIMARILY connected to God is our spirits. Man lost that connection/fellowship at the garden of Eden. The influence though affected every other sphere of man and his environment as man is the crown and head of the earth and its fullness. When the head suffers, of course other parts will feel it.
Therefore in redemption or salvation, the PRIMARY and sure action is a reconnection/reconciliation with God. That's the SPIRIT, remember. When you are saved, born again, redeemed, or whatever term you are used to, what you have(the real deal) is that connection to God, eternal life, which is of course the main thing since it is for eternity. Every successful person and wise person has priorities and that is God's priority and guarantee. The main link restored. That is the base line and guarantee for EVERYONE, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You get eternal life and eternity with God. All the other perks that come with it as good as we find them, are not primary to God. A poor Lazarus, a sick Dorcas can get to Heaven and spend eternity with God. Healing, Health, Wealth are good and God gives them, but they are not the PRIMARY aims of redemption. In fact, anyone can have them, God blesses anyone with them. Since God blesses anyone with them, we do encourage and admonish christians to be part of these 'blessings' if possible. There are many ways and roads to receiving the blessings of healing, health and wealth. There's one way to receiving the blessing of eternal life. CAVEAT, you can gain healing, health and wealth and still lose your own soul. Wisdom is profitable to direct and prioritize.

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

This like as being explained is by the way. The real punishment is the spiritual death which happened in that instant. That one is eternal and unthinkable. This one is manageable, we have women that still go ahead to have 15children. i've never met a couple that do not want children despite the challenge of child delivery, or the loss of peace and money they will incur by having children as against not having. Still and yet, there is succour and God works miracles. Prayer is important, faith, love, holiness and sobriety are also important. Even those that don't have all these are managing and giving birth to twins and triplets. Yours will not be worse in Jesus'name. Healthcare, research and medicine are also available for us to take advantage of. Let's work towards these, take courage, seize the moment, and of course expect Jesus. When He comes, He will wipe away ALL tears, and there will be no more pain. He never promised no more pain after you are born again, He promised no more pain AFTER He comes again.
Politics › Re: Some Deduction I Made From Oby's Interview. by Image123(m):
kasiem: #1: when the man from maidugri made a claim that part of the problems which culminated to boko haram was the neglect by government and asked what obasanjo did to control this neglect........ Oby, in response said that state collect fifty of the federation allowance, she acknowledged the fact that the state government has more responsibility in connecting with their local constituents and citizenry more than the federal government..... So, going by this why did Oby during her BBOG campaign not acknowledge the responsibility of shettima in playing a part in the chibok issue cos he was the chief security of the state and collects security allowances, rather Oby heaped all the responsibility of federal government?
This has already been well answered by someone else who reminded us all that Bornu state is under State of Emergency and therefore a chief responsibility of the Federal Government. Also, this is a Boko Haram issue, meaning that it should be spear-headed by the Federal Government, not the state government. Terrorists and Militants like the Niger-Delta militants are chiefly a responsibility of the FG as they are national issues. In fact, the FG often tries to remind the world that Boko Haram is even an international issue. The FG neglected and denied the Chibok kidnap, that is why they had to be jolted out of their deep coma and inefficiency by the global BBOG campaign.
Secondly, the claim of the man from Maiduguri is something that goes down to several decades of neglect, so to try to pin it down to Obasanjo wasn't too nice of him. Good thing that Oby threw it back to him. Blaming every other person except yourself is never a good sign, Oby simply reminded us all that our Local governments and State governments also have a role to play, infact a closer role. She stated that with the facts and figures that they get a large percentage of the allocations.

#2: when a lady asked a question that pertains to combating of corruption in the country.... Oby acknowledged the fact that gej's administration has taken a unique and giant step in that area by creating a 'social safety net' as systems and which has the capacity of looking into youth unemployment..... does this justify Gej's claim during the campaign that he has digitally fought corruption despite the fact that he's not used the crude and primordial means which some people have been profering as veritable means?
Do you have a problem with Oby or any critic being honest or giving praise where due? It's unfortunate many PDP loyalists and even today's society thinks that a critic must criticize everything. No, and i hope the opposition doesn't do that. BTW, Oby has a degree in Law and Diplomacy. One has to be diplomatic especially before the international media. A good family, friendship, even organisation will 'fight'and tell themselves the truth internally, but will stand and defend/protect themselves outside. If Oby comes to Nigeria and is hard on our leaders and telling them the truth, it doesn't mean she must go outside Nigeria to go and expose our dirty linens to AlJazeera and millions of other nationals who form their perception from hearsay. International perception is important, our passport and nationality is currently at a low. i remember Dora and the Yaradua govt spending so much trying to re-brand us before the eyes of the world. So, Oby would not be very wise to go and tell the world that we are corrupt and clueless and a failure. Yes, the GEJ administration has some positives but they clearly have not done enough to be re-elected. A patriot and a sound critic wouldn't do things that would encourage people to vote them in again. GEJ has not done enough to fight corruption, simples. He is not justified. Nobody denied that he is using technology.

#3: at the earlier stages of the interview, the whole house including Oby acknowledged the fact that nigeria has made tremendous progress the fight against corruption, rising from nö 2 during the obj's days to nö 38 in gej's days on transparency international..... furthermore, does this show the fact that Oby was being deceptful in criticising gej of being corrupt and depleting the nation's reserve?
No, no, no. The only acknowledgement is of course the FACT that we have changed position on Transperency International's ratings. That's a fact, it will be foolish and madness not to acknowledge facts. BTW, do you know that Oby is one of the main founders of Transparency International(TI)? Factor that as well. But in reality, we know that we have not made any TREMENDOUS progress, it is just a matter of perception and re-branding. Do a little research into how TI does their rankings, it is very debateable. It is a fact that GEJ is corrupt and the nation's reserves have being depleted. Anybody that says that is telling the truth, even if the devil says it. The fact is the fact, ask Okonjo-Iweala, our reserves are being depleted.

#4: Oby in the interview tried saying the country is in a bad shape going by the fact that the elites have failed in galvanising our shared vision..... is Oby part of this elites cos coming from nnewi south where she's from I'm yet to have that sense of connection which Oby has for her fellow constituents, as she's totally disconnected from the grassroot. Could it be said she's one of the problems of nigeria?
The ruling elite have failed collectively, or do you think otherwise? What do you mean by sense of connection? What does someone do to have a sense of connection? Is it buying Boli while campaigning like Omisore of Osun State? Or sharing rice and chicken like Diezani and Fayose? Is that connection to the grassroot? Please can you explain with example(s)?

This notion that Oby is against d Goodluck govt, because she was not appointed as minister is self serving. I remember reading from the media in 2011 that Goodluck reached out to this same woman and Iweala, as regards appointment as ministers, but Oby declined, this was at a time when politicians where doing all within their power to get appointment. Clearly, Dr. Oby's understanding of a politician is a "member of a political party", but Mehdi was quick to point out to her that holding 2 ministerial positions, acting as adviser to the president and serving as World Bank Vice President already made her a politician.
Her shameless defence of Obasanjo's administration also exposed her as a hypocrite.

7:43

Mehdi: Sure you would agree that the root causes of Boko Haram aren't just the radical Islamist ideology but also political grievances and marginalisation. And don't you think members of the political elite like yourself should also take responsibility for neglecting them?

Oby: I have been very vocal about the failure of the political elite class which I am a part of. I mean, I'm not going to pretend like a belong to a lonely class...

Mehdi: Well, with respect to other instances where you have said you were not a politician, I'm glad you're finally accepting that today.

Oby: But no, I am not a politician.

Mehdi: Really? Then what are you?

Oby, I do not belong to a political party...

Mehdi: But you were a government minister?

Oby: Well, that's where you're wrong...

Mehdi: So you weren't a government minister?

Oby: Well, we do not practice the West's minister type of government. We practice presidential system...

Mehdi: Ministers are not politicians?

Oby: I became a politician without having to carry Party cards and dance in the village.

Mehdi.. Your definition of a politician is a person who does not belong to a party? If you were the Minister of education, If you were the minister of solid minerals, if you were the vice president of world bank, If you were an adviser to African presidents, you're not a politician?

Oby: well...

Mehdi: That's a very narrow definition.

Oby: Well... ehm... well... it depends on how brrrrrrroadly...
Oby is right in this context.Politics is different from governance, don't get it twisted.

MuttleyLaff:
Is this "command" a situational or universal one?
Why the "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. I suffer not a woman to TEACH, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence"?
Was there anything prevailing that warranted Paul dishing out course of action?
What other "command(s)" apart from this particular has Paul given?
We need to first be clear on one thing. Are we agreed that it is a command? If not, why on earth or heaven do you think it is a discussion or Q&A session?
