Some Pharisee Christian would avoid calling fool but will call people i.diot, ode, madman etc because they are under the law.
Don't call people names, insult or abuse them because they offend you. Show them light, salt and love, not pepper. The actions of the Galatians were foolish hence Paul inspired by God and with apostolic authority could correct their foolish action. He didn't call anyone fool for stepping on him, stoning him or lying against him. He never insulted Felix or Festus or Alex the coppersmith. David didn't call Saul or Doeg a fool. He didn't ask who's the bas.tard, idio.t that stained my clothes or burnt my food. The use of the word wasn't out of personal vent or anger in argument. It was a statement of fact hinged on God's wisdom, holiness and judgment.
