Logicboy03: >>>meaning? |
mazaje: Just bumped into this thread. . .i already addressed it and quoted Christian authority to which you had/have no answer. |
Joagbaje: When you guys get stuck you come after joagbaje. What has this thread Got to do with oyskhilome . My reference is the bible ,if you have any disputation deal with it scripturally ,stop getting personal .its immaturei tire oh no be small. Can you believe an antithither is actually insisting that tithes was prevalent in Abraham's time? Where are those bad belle one-off folks to 'enlighten' their fellow? |
Goshen360: Okay. Here to respond to your post as requested. Otherwise, I should have been done with this thread. First and as I often say, Image123 and co, you need to understand how to balance scriptures. Interpreting one scripture SHOULD NOT contradict the other scriptures - That's rightly dividing the word of truth.Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. The Bible says WHATSOEVER, Goshen says some divided into three. Thumbs down. 2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The Bible says ALL Scripture is given with the purpose that the MAN OF GOD may be ... But Goshen says only some divided by three scriptures are useful for the man of God. Thumbs down, gosh. Let God be true, and every man a liar. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)Newsflash, i'm no more a gentile, not to dwell on the twist on that passage above. 1Co 12:2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Jesus Christ has made us One and rent the veil. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder. You took absolutely no regard for who was been referred o in verse1 unlike your fixations on Matthew 23v23. Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Yes sir, now and here is what I'm saying - We can LEARN from BUT the learning doesn't always translate to APPLICATION. Now, you warned me of 'private interpretation'. My brother Image123, you're the very one doing 'private interpretation' here. If not, you should have interpreted Matthew 23 in it proper context - that chapter first is NOT a stand alone and second, you cherry picked the audience in its proper context. Let me show you the context of the audience.Matthew 23 is very clear, stop bringing in private interpretation. All of the chapter is in re letter except the below; Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Mat 23:2 Saying, Again, the Bible says jesus spake to the multitude and His disciples, but you say, not so some to disciples, some to pharisees. All of Christ's words remain applicable to anyone who does or behaves in the way stated in the chapter, not just to pharisees. If ANYONE is hypocritical, if anyone loves to please men than God, righteous outside and unrighteous inside, be you peter, or nicodemus, or femi, or musa, the same consequences will befall the persons. It is not limited to just the pharisees. Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. The bolded is the work of hypocrites like the scribes and pharisees were. Hypocisy, insincerity, showmanship, saying and not doing. All the passage is encapsulated in this phrase as it were. Once you miss that, you've missed everything. Their work was not to pay tithe, else we would equally say their work was making disciples, long prayers, making the outside clean, appearing beautiful and righteous, burying good people. Quite selective if you ask me. Their work was pretending, hypocrisy, and that's what we are to avoid. Yes, believers are to avoid it, not only pharisees and scribes. 2. I have shown you that the Gentile Christians (non-Jewish) do not have the law of Moses, it wasn't written to us and therefore are NOT to keep the law of Moses in its entirety. The problem I have with you and co is that, you guys still promote keeping the laws of Moses for Christians. The context of Matthew 23:23 still says, "matters of the law". If you think ""these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone"" applies to you as scribes and pharisees and NOT a disciple of Christ, keep doing BUT don't teach disciples of Christ to do it because Christ already told those who are his disciples NOT to DO according to the works of the scribes\pharisees in verse 3 and it was still a matter of the law of Moses because in verse 2, it says, the sit in MOSES' SEAT and verse 23 says, matters of the law.Gosh, please answer. Justice, faith and mercy are matters of the law, are we to have mercy or faith? Why are you being selective/ Don't you know that Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For your information, most of what we call the new testament Bible were written around 60AD to 100AD, and were not even in wide circulation. What the early christians had and studied and looked into whether these things are so were what we call the old testament Bible. they regarded it as the PERFECT law of LIBERTY. that was their Bible, their mirror that they looked into, that they RENEWED their minds with from their past ideologies. Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Image123, you're still living under the law. Look again at that scripture. It says the law SHALL NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL ALL BE FULFILLED. C'mom mehnnn, the law (of Moses) is already fulfilled in Christ that means IT'S PASSED AWAY OR DONE AWAY WITH according to the words of Christ, now that Christ has fulfilled it. What Christ said there is very clear, until all of the laws (of Moses) is fulfilled, it remains; when\if it is fulfilled, it's pass away. The key here is UNTIL at time or period when it is fulfilled or will be fulfilled, then the law of Moses is PASSED AWAY. Tell me if Christ NEVER fulfilled the law of Moses already.Gosh, it says till ALL be fulfilled, not till the law of Moses be fulfilled. ALL has not been fulfilled. There are hundreds of prophecy in the law yet to be fulfilled. Gen 49:10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Deu 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; The people are not yet gathered to Him, neither have they hearkened to Him. All these would be fulfilled in the second coming of Christ. Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Exo 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. Have these laws ended? That verse is properly rendered as the goal for better understanding. is the below verse ended with christ? Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Image123 my brother, quit parading and mixing the Old and the New wine to Christians. It's dangerous! The law is holy but it cannot make you holy. You also forget the strength of sin is the LAW. Hence, the law is holy but cannot make you holy because it has SIN in it. Malachi 3:8-10 is NOT instituted in Malachi, it was instituted under the law of Moses. Besides and again, Malachi is under the gospel of 'do this' and God will 'do that'. The Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament - please move your pulpit from 'mount sinai' where the law was given to 'mount zion' which is in Christ. Malachi threatens with curse, in the New Testament God blesses because of Christ's obedience and we're NOT giving\tithing IN ORDER to blessed but we give BECAUSE WE ARE ALREADY BLESSED by God.Obeying God's laws in the new covenant era is not with the aim of being holy or being justified. If you read my post on the old covenant, instead of being more interested in rebutting and debunking, you would have seen this by now. If i may say, the New testament Bible laws are more difficult than the OT bible laws. We are not under the law(OT or NT) but under grace. Until you understand that, you may continue to fumble and stumble at the law(whether OT or NT). The same set of atheistic questions you are asking me on Malachi 3 can be asked on any promise from God e.g Psalm 23, John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Phi 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. and many more. You are giving a carnal view just to win an argument. All these promised blessings that nothing shall by any means hurt you, have you read them recently? Do they apply to our present covenant and dispensation? Do the audience Christ is speaking to make His words less true? |
Like i said earlier, the writer has been frank/sincere but not entirely truthful. It is needful that you are truthful and not mixing truth with error no matter how little, especially when you stand to condemn others. just to touch on some few points raised, It is a history of how the apostles appointed by Jesus took his word from “Samaria to Judea and to utmost parts of the earth”. The apostles left their comfort zones into presumed enemy territories to preach the gospel, they didn’t sit in their homes and ask their followers to fast and pray for the gospel to get to the utmost parts of the earth, they “Acted”. They walked, rode on donkeys and sailed on canoes. They acted!Actually, the apostles took the Word from Judea to Samaria and to the other parts of the earth. It wasn't from Samaria to Judea. It's little it seems but nonetheless accurate. All you need to do is read this reference book of Acts the writer talked about. Also, the apostles remained in Jerusalem while other christians were scattered about. Act 15:4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. Act 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Act 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Also, the fact needs to be stated that most of these preachers under attack have been to different locations(inviting and non-inviting) all across the globe. It remains unfair that one lazy writer can sit on some blog and make outlandish assumptions without presenting what he himself has done. The great commission is the responsibility of every believer. you who is demanding action, what have you done, and to what effect. Rom 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? The bible documents that Jesus spoke against evil authorities. He didn’t offer them special prayers, he didn’t accept tithes and offerings from them and just went his way. He spoke against them in public. Jesus Christ was a true revolutionary even till the very end!Where please, because you are matching this with the impression that Jesus acted like some sort of union or activist against the govenment of His time. Jesus is NEVER recorded as speaking against the government. He had Caesar Augustus, Nero, Pilate, the Herods and co. And they were quite oppressive rulers but He never spoke against them even when tempted to, as recorded the the case of giving to Caesar, and of pilate's murderous behaviour, where He(Jesus) was expected to 'react'. Instead Barabbas the robber was the seditious fellow, and as the people chose and loved him, so it is today. My dad once told me that, as a kid, Christian missionaries came to his Dad (my grandfather, that is) begging him to allow his children come to their school free of charge. He proceeded to Abeokuta Grammar school where Reverend Kuti was principal, free of charge. He later got a scholarship to study abroad. The church paid all through!God or Jesus never sent us to start schools or render education(free or paid). It is your own volition or discretion what you do about that as long as it doesn't contradict God's plan for your life. The christian missionaries in your dad's time were funded by the tithes, offerings, mission vows and pledges of others in their country(ies). No disrespect to their sacrifices, but they didn't build schools, churches and hospitals with water. White people contributed these monies in many ways like they do today. There are so called christian universities in their countries too. Anyone can give a scholarship based on several reasons, it is not a christian peculiarity or a pass to Heaven. Most schools have scholarship programs, and it cannot be for everybody. If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. The great commission does not enforce giving of freebies. Add these to your thoughts. |
chinelo is muske in real life. |
frosbel: .i clicked like on this post, its one of your better posts. |
solidbroda: u are d one with a symptom of brainwash technique. Foolish foolxcuse me? Do you speak english? |
OLAADEGBU: Who said that? Can you please quote where the poster said this? ![]() |
The OP's article is frank but not truthful, misplaced priorities i must say. |
Logicboy03: I think I will start paying tithes when you start to make reasonable posts.i asked if you could help out. The sane thing to say is yes/no but you went for the other option closer to your heart. What has paying tithes got to do with anything, and why does your life depend on my actions? Let your life depend on God, not me. |
someone remind us of the shameful end of popular atheists, it's been awhile i saw that. logicb can you help out? |
And why would Olaa want to 'build his thread', whatever that means. You guys are so vain and with nothing to offer but vain repetitions and clicking like. |
thehomer: This discussion has dragged on long enough so I guess you can have the last word here but I'll end my contribution here by saying once again that frankly, I don't care about the will of Adeboye's God with regards to same sex marriage or anything else in particular. Then you should have ignored the thread, don't you have some self control? Good to see you run out of steam as you readily assume. i pray rather that you run out of steam in your fight against God, He will remain eternally relevant to your life. |
^ I'm still waiting for your comments on my posts on page 24, only zukky managed to cherry pick and make some glib comments on some few phrases out of all you folks. Most of whom obviously can't resist the wisdom and the spirit, only waiting to click like on whatever on earth you may write. Unfortunately, i'm also waiting so that it won't be swept under the carpet as was predicted and is currently happening, only for hypocritical questions to come up again some other time and thread. I'm on a pilgrimage to the heavenly kingdom, i don't enjoy childish roller coaster circular pursuits like your folks. |
really funny stuff but guys, guys, let's not act like them, two wrongs don't make a right. |
thehomer:Is Russel not a man? Is Nietzsche not a man? Are you not emulating them? Why then should i not emulate Jesus or any of the apostles? i'm pointing out the trend to you. The atheist life trends and gravitates towards the same destination. the christian life also trends towards the same destination. i'm doing you and yours a big favour. Yes I do you obviously don't with the sort of ignorant bronze age explanation you're presenting here. JSS 1 students know better than to say that the father's seed is planted in the mother and imply that the mother doesn't contribute any genetic material. This is just shameful. Is the father's seed not planted in the mother? Answer please. i do not imply that the mother doesn't contribute any genetic material. Do you think that when the seed is planted into the ground, it doesn't get anything from the ground. Pls, do not let me question your JSSCE result if you have one(that is if you studied in nigeria). What you fail to understand is that the Qur'an too is the Word of God so the Word of which God is to be believed? Then there's the issue that if the terms and conditions are very atrocious, then they will be rejected and we will advice others to avoid that place too. Now if the place being sold looks like a scam, one would do well to avoid it too. What is atrocious about the terms and conditions in the scriptures? Passing around personal correspondence as scripture doesn't make it scripture all it gives you is the idea of what the writer had in mind. Or did God come down and whisper to those who included it in the Bible? I hope you know that there are numerous letters that weren't included in the Bible and that some of them were even wrongly attributed. So to answer your rhetorical question, you're the one deceiving yourself and it looks like you've also been deceived by others too.i've already answered this. 2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction. Peter said that the writings of Paul were scriptures, do you recognise scriptures better than Peter? |
thehomer: What's with these random colours you keep inserting in your texts? Anyway, you're still saying the same thing. i.e faith = evidence so you need to perform a better correction.Thought it should be obvious, you can also think as an option. Red for scriptures, Green for your words, Purple for mine. Appreciate NL forum colors, what are you always bitter about. The faith of many is an available evidence presented to you. i'm showing you how unreliable reasoning and evidence alone can get. Also, don't forget you can pray, God wants you to. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Jesus has been calling you for years now. He invested His life on the cross of calvary for you. He died for you. All you need to do is accept it. Why should you be picturing a thief when I (the person who brought up the example) was talking about an admirer? Wouldn't this be your own red-herring?i thought i brought up the example when i said "Different individuals have their different softspots and weaknesses. Some folks naturally detest stealing and are NATURALLY disciplined enough not to steal. Other folks are so principled and honest and would not tell lies. Some other person values his honour and will never sleep with another man's wife. This doesn't negate the fact that these despised sins are what some other folks cannot do without, or must give in to frequently. It's natural, and they 'find themselves just attracted' to these despicable acts. It's a similar thing with homosexuality. Trying to force a natural angle on it doesn't absolve the sinner. Sin is sin and must be dealt with and frowned at."Here(https://www.nairaland.com/1171126/adeboye-same-sex-marriage-against-god/10#14450992). i don't do red herrings, its all yours. Every man is a natural born sinner, but we all have to repent and believe in God, or else we will be found useless to God on judgement day and punished(put in hell). That's what you do to damaged goods or corrupt files on your hard disk, you remove them if they cannot be treated. god has given us the treatment on the cross, look and live. Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. on your C to Z assumptions, i don't do baseless assumptions. In assuming, we can assume anything, like i can assume to be a dog and my computer a human being, its just crazy and pointless. let's face reality instead. Sure he will. That is why Heaven will be full of murderers, rapists and thieves. That have repented and have been cleansed and forgiven. That is the gospel, the goodnews. That all men can be saved, can start anew. There is hope for you too. No, I'm asking what you're to do when you're asked that question. You're asking in proxy then. i'll say if i've not already said and depending on the context, that Jesus Christ is the reason for my hope. i'll respond to the remainder later, have to go. |
thehomer: Why did you say anything about the Bible being special at all? The sources aren't books. I would say the NT gives a different picture and meaning.i said it is special because it's not just like every othe book, and i have consistently insisted that my point is not on the special quality but on the Bible not written at once. i asked you to go back and re-read since you seem to have forgotten but it seems to also lazy to do that. Here it is then, Yes, the revelation of God's will to man was progressive. It was made complete in the new testament. In the new testament, all things are ready, and nothing is needed for addition again. Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: The Bible was released in series, like releasing a book in chapters until the whole thing was complete, except that it is not just like every other book, it is special. There is no change there. i used the word 'progressive' in the sense of ongoing, or gradual or developing. Not in the sense of being a radical or a reformist. The testaments are like step by step until you reach a goal. It's reason that you focus on the goal/destination, instead of how one step is not the same step as the other step. that way, you'll not end up confusing yourself. What are these sources you are on about? You seem shy to disclose them. You may hav to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the NT gives a different picture and meaning. The Bible and believers in the Bible attest to the fact the NT is a clearer picture and meaning of the OT, it completes it. No I didn't say that. Please go back and read what I actually said. The fact that it wasn't written in English means that the spaces could have been in places different from what you get in the English translations. Obviously, you're not using your brain because you seem to think that working on the Sabbath is a moral issue while tolerating slavery isn't a moral issue. You said "This is why I said you're ignorant about how the Bible came about. If you knew anything about that process, you'll know that the paragraphs and spaces weren't already there. You keep saying that the divisions were inherent yet so far, you've been unable to show that these divisions were inherent." In this link, https://www.nairaland.com/1171126/adeboye-same-sex-marriage-against-god/10#14400771 It sounded so ridiculous that i immediately said Paragraphs and spaces were already there. how can one write without spaces?, then i gave you the wiki link. Now, you want to dishonestly twist things. Shows you're only interested in an argument, not in understanding the biblical viewpoints. The fact that the many translations into many languages end up with the same number of chapters and verses makes nonsense of your assumptions. And where did i seem to think that working on the Sabbath is a moral issue while tolerating slavery isn't a moral issue? Am i now in your brain? Actually, you're the one deeply lacking in understanding because you think that the Sabbath law is a moral one. I'm asking you to state where God stated the differences but you cannot that is why you keep trying to hide behind a blade of grass. It's common sense i suppose, that's why i said it is inherent. God doesn't have to tell you that man is different from other animals, mammals and primates even though they can be classed together in some instances. It's no contradiction, its just an issue of grouping. Anyone can understand basic taxonomy. how you find it hard to understand simple classifications is mind-disturbing. And you need good reasoning. You don't need, right? Do you need a hand to interact with a computer? You see, interacting with a computer covers more than just using your hand to touch it. Don't blame me for your incompetence. Wow. You just keep showing that you have no idea of what you're talking about when you say that faith = belief. In other words, he reveals himself to the gullible. You are either very dishonest or very forgetful. You said "My point is that you do not have to be literate to actually touch a computer". Now you are asking if a hand is needed. You said that was YOUR POINT, now you're on about who knows what. What exactly is your point, or are you pointless? You are actually showing that you do not know the meaning of faith. God reveals Himself to the gullible, yes. Mar 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1Co 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. So God has stopped inspiring people. Instead, he asks us to be gullible and swallow just any story that walks our way.God is not a broken record as it were. All that is needed for our salvation is already revealed in the Scriptures. People are still inspired today, but not to write scriptures as that is already complete. No one is saying you should swallow just any story that walks your way, i wonder where you got that idea. All you need to do is to believe God, and His Word(the Scriptures) Are you willing to accept those instructions as commandments with imperatives similar to; don't kill and don't steal? The instructions of Jesus are commandments that i obey and that i believe everyone should obey. On God's decisions, i think otherwise and so does the Bible. That settles it for me, your opinions are irrelevant in this case. Please go to a Bible school because you obviously don't understand what you've read there.i guess you've been to one. It surely didn't look like it helped you much. No, thanks. I said it didn't abolish slavery. Learn to read what I actually write. If it 'abolished slavery', it would just be personal correspondence right? Then you should get a Bible that had good translators because good translations use different words for them. Your ignorance knows no bounds. Those sportsmen aren't being bought, the money you see there is payment for their services. Slaves aren't paid a salary. Please suggest one to me, thanks. Sportsmen aren't being bought? Do you leave on this planet? There is usually a lot of noise about buying players during transfer windows and there is a swag attached to being the most expensive buy. So, i guess the title is not your problem, the buying is not your problem, the salary is. i've read of slaves that were given salaries, the ones that refused to work were denied of their salaries. And there are many workers in Nigeria where i live who are being owed months of salaries which would definitely not be paid, at least not in full. These people call themselves teachers, accountants, secretaries, nurses, personal assistants and other nice names. Are they slaves? Not funny but i think they are, seems i'm with you on this one. If they're relevant, then why don't you discuss them?Because i don't have to discuss things simply because they are relevant. He can knock until his hands bleed. I don't know this God, you know him. Why don't you talk to him? You're giving me flimsy excuses to hide the fact that either he isn't there or he's going to ignore you.Try to remember those words, you might need to repeat them when you die. Here is the great commission and what is expected of me. Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. God did not tell me to talk to Him on your behalf, He told me to talk/preach to you so that you can come talk to Him. It's very simple what happens when you choose not to believe, consider those words of Jesus extra carefully. Well the writer in the NT was probably just as confused as you. The fact that he regretted the action while saving people he thought were God implies that. Unless of course you think God was just into pointless acts of suffering (well maybe he is). Peter was writing to someone else and some people just captured the letter and included it in the Bible while Moses was reporting what God told him (according to Christian legend of course).Sorry i do not understand the bolded 'fact', can you explain with scriptural proof? Also, this God's aim to remove evil from the earth, can you show me? Peter's 2epistles are scriptures, live with it or tear them out of all the Bibles you can find. Then don't be lazy. Look up things like the origin of the Bible and the Council of Nicea. You can start with Wikipedia.Again, Were Jesus' and God's words also selected at this meeting that you seem to be unhappy about? Are you seriously imagining that i do not know about the council of nicea, constantine and other councils? You really think i know about your uncles(Nietzsche and Russel)and don't know about 'the origin of the Bible'? Indeed, a thousand councils and governments cannot remove one verse from the Word of God. You can rest assured that the complete Word of God is found in the Bible in your hand(hope you didn't tear off the Peter epistles, i didn't mean that literally as a command). Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 1Pe 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever. i believe you have read about Voltaire, you can continue from where he stopped, perhaps you might make it ehn. Again, don't blame me for your poor understanding of the language. When someone says "Suffer little children to come unto me . . . " by your reasoning can mean that you're supposed to torture children then kill them in order for them to get to heaven.", he obviously needs sackcloth to cover himself in shame. Jesus loves the little children and there's nothing you can do about that. as for you, if you want mercy, confess your sins and REPENT of them. |
fubbyy: sorry my quote above wasn't for you exactlyNo wahala. i believe the guy now accepts though. The white people even have more and stranger problems than africans. They struggle more with se.xual perversions, inbreeding, groupsomes, drugs etc. And they experience more strange things than we do, giving birth to deformed deformities. |
OLAADEGBU: Watch out for them horns. yes sir. |
frosbel: Especially the temple robbers and fleecers of widows houses.can you read at all, it says to leave them alone, the exact opposite of your dream ministry which God didn't send you. |
No need argueing back and forth. You know what i mean. I guess the DEMONS are at work
then you need the real Jesus. |
Try comprehend the statement properly na. By peculiar, it meant prevailent. Of course theres all sorts of lies the world over. It mostly occurs in 3rd world countries. How many times have you heard of westerners complaining about spiritual partners. You probably have cases here and there but MOST of it comes from 3rd World countries.
perhaps, you don't understand yourself. You said ONLY peculiar to Africans and that oyibos NEVER experience it, abi na your demon type am? Anyway, most others either have other issues/devils troubling them, or they explain it away with grammar. |
Why is it that these spirits are only peculiar to Africa? Do we serve a different God? Why is it that the "Oyinbos" that actually "BROUGHT" religion to us never have these spiritual husbands/wives. People lets wake up and stop deceiving ourselves. If you're having symptoms, please go see a DOCTOR. You may have a previously undetected illness. There is no such thing as spiritual spouse. Chikena.
this is sublime ignorance on the net. It's not a phenomena limited to Africa or Africans. Use those megabytes please. |
and where is Gosh? Oh it's the usual ignore the posts and points, make them go away, then re-raise the same issues on a new thread. These folks perfectly hold the ever learning and never able to come to knowledge trophy. |
i agree with Jo on this one. i believe in God though, not in devils. |
debosky: Departure yes - voluntary or otherwise? That is my question. If the latter, how do we deal with this? How do we bring such people into the Christian fold, understanding the bible's clear rejection of homosexuality? How do we bring them into the fold without going against our beliefs? That is my concern. They first need to KNOW that they have a problem, that it's not normal. This is a critical step in solving problems. Initially recognise you have a problem, instead of trying to justify it. |
