Given that US budget deficits are historically below average-1.2% of GDP at present-wouldn't that mean that the average US President has been an idiot.At 1.2% of GDP,US budget deficit is lower than that of France,Italy,Britain and our beloved Nigeria-All ruled by idiots and none of which,apart from Britain, is embroiled in 2 major wars.

Imagine changing your formation to play one up front for a home game.You expect that from the likes of Wigan and Sunderland not title contenders,the supposed purveryors of "total football" don't have the confidence to play 2 up front in a home game.

We played with greater confidence and like true title contenders.At this point,the goal of any team is to acquire as many points as possible.Simply avoiding losses against your rivals is not sufficient in Nov/Dec.When we had a home draw against Chelski last season,we were dissapointed,and rightly so.You wouldn't see Utd fans simply screaming. . .we are still top!     

Towards the latter part of the season,it becomes sufficient merely to stay ahead of your rivals since there are few games left in the season.With one-third of the season yet to be played,merely staying on top is not good enough.There are still 2/3rds plus of the season to play.

I was particularly impressed by Anderson's performance.Anderson won the Golden Ball in You/17 2005 while Cesc won it in 2003 but you can see that Anderson is the better talent. We have signed a real gem.He showed a lot of  maturity in executing his defensive duties even though he is primarily an attacking player.Still has to work on his fitness as he tires as a game progresses.This could be due to his lack of a proper pre-season.

You seem to assume that the only way the Govt can fund major infrastructural investments is to dip into the reserves.The Govt can decide to reduce the amount it puts into the reserves(which its doing anyway) or it can stop putting money away entirely.

We can have a cutoff point,say $100bn of foreign reserves,above which any extra revenue can be spent to our hearts delight.The Govt is said to have spent $5bn on telephone infrastructure,producing only 700,000 phone lines.Given that the quadrupling of Govt expenditure is barely noticed by Nigerians,maybe by then,we shall see that merely spending Govt money won't solve much in the long term.

very good areas and the rest abysmal.

All countries have patchy infrastructure.Most investment in China is focused on Eastern China and very little goes to the West.That is where Govt spending can be wasteful.In pursuit of "federal character",money is spent where it is not most productive. . .money has to be spent equally between North and South even if it is more economically sound to invest in the South
