@mamajama Shouldn't your greivances be targetted at those who aid and abet the killing of American troops which includes the Iranian Govt? |
Check my post, still got my nuts with me. Bollinger is a well known leftist. He even prohibited ROTC from coming to Columbia so he can't be accused of being a 'Bush lackey'. |
debosky:Is that what it means?Glad to see he and I share a common need.Could bet my nuts he is either a Gunner or a Russian ![]() |
sorry - i meant not low in iq.
That would amount to praise. |
@Osisi You seem to have drawn the ire of a horde of Mohammedans! Becareful o,very soon you will be needing Police escorts like Ayaan Hirsi Ali |
ocho cinco:Group think involves a conformity of ideas or opinion within members of a group.Whatever the variation in the intensity of emotions in relation to a particular viewpoint,it is the conformity to a viewpoint that symptomises group thinking. |
And this mess might have been avoided if Rumsfeld had not deemed the Iraqi enerprise worthy of anFundamentally, the question is whether those who are largely responsible for the violence(the various militias) should be held responsible for the violence. It is not the Americans that blow up marketplaces but Iraqis It is true that there are some things the Americans could have done differently which could have dampened the violence. However, the seeds of the present sectarian conflict were sown centuries ago. There is very little the Americans could do to stop a sectarian conflict ensuing once a Sunni leader was replaced with a Shia. You mentioned retaining the present Iraqi military capability. The Iraqi army was made up of a Sunni officer oligarchy with Shia conscripts as infantry men. Most of the Shias didn't want to return to such an Army.It is fashionable at present to grasp the old Iraqi army as some kind of tabula in naufragio, but the reality of the Iraqi situation made that option unworkable. As for having more troops.Do you think that more American troops in Iraq will be to the liking of Iraqis? |
I would suggest that there is a variation in the Christian faith@ocho That is typical of any theocracy or non-democratic society. The problem is. . . why should a free man feel the need to engage in group think on certain issues? If you have a faith that acts as a vehicle of cultural imperialism, people of that faith tend to display unflinching loyalty to the causes of the dominant culture-the Arab. I tend to call Denex "Abd al Arab",hope my crude knowledge of Arabic is accurate, because like any "good Muslim",he merely parrots lines you will hear from any Arab. You don't have to actually listen to him,all you need is to ask a Sunni Arab his opinion and you can be certain Denex supports such an opinion. |
ocho cinco:Its one thing for people working within a particular Govt to tend towards particular viewpoints. It is quite another for people of a particular religion. . . .to tend towards one viewpoint on most issues in the Middle East. Some Christians are pro-Palestine,some are not. Some were in favour of the Iraq war, some were not.No such diversity exists within the "Umma".You can pre-guess an opinion here on NL from a Muslim once it concerns the Middle East. |
ocho cinco:Denex is a Muslim. . . group think is particularly acute with people of that religion. |
I googled this topic,I was half expecting to end up in a South African forum.I ended up in NL ![]() |
@Afam With your shoddy intellect,no surprises for taking a figure of speech literally.Maybe he should be speaking in Igbo with wawa dialect, that's the only way you will understand ![]() |
tkb417:NASA dey study am for to understand anti-gravity.I can ashua you that u will loff it. |
tkb417:Na wa for you. . .we offer you a peek at Razorr's famous chesticles, you dey invoke Holy Spiritna Lordi's u want see? ![]() |
Razorr:You friends with Lordi? You can get him to show the man from PH some man boobs. |
lordimpaq:What you call desecration. . . we call exorcism.Sometimes this thread needs to delivered from the demons from the Emirates who keep behaving in an ungodly manner. All the beef happens on the Gunners and Chelksi threads. We don't wan't beef here. . we are vegetarians @Jackal Can't remember the quaintity but its more than the usual amount you will expect any self respecting clean human being to have.Your usual tenner worth can be confiscated but you usually don't get arrested.Did you hear about the 4 year old who was stabbed? Its not weed that is causing all these stabbings.Products of single parenting are the problem. It could have something to do with the Emirates loyika:I'm just trying to "Koffi Anann" the dispute. What about my YIM offer? @Razorr I think we might need your help here.Maybe, show those two your chesticles. . . . .that could help. |
Loyiks and tkb Una fit continue. . . . . in the Gunners thread.Na holy ground be dis thread. This is holier than Mecca and Jerusalem combined. Alternatively, you can go on YIM or create an entirely new thread ![]() |
Razorr:Do it girl. . . . you know you want to.Stop fighting your true feelings ![]() @Jackal I ain't no Harry Pothead! The stuff been reclassified though.Apparently the cops won't arrest you unless you have a certain quaintity on you.Normally they seize the stuff. Jose is negative but I'm more interested in winning than attractive footie.Utd's biggest challenge in the coming years is managing Fergie's demise. |
@Jackal Mourinho for United! What say you? Fergie is getting old(O'Shea's mum says he can't function without some lil blue pills) and United needs to think about the long term.Methinks Jose would be more than an adequate replacement. Obviously, since we don't know when Fergie is retiring, its going to be difficult employing Jose as he may get another lucrative job. However,if Fergie was ever going to suffer a heart attack, choke on his chewing gum . . . .Jose would be a good replacement. Only issues I have are with Jose's defensive tactics and long term loyalty. |
You guys acan hate all you want while we get the job done on the pitch.Like i said before its hard to hear all this whining, lamentations and curses from the top of the table
No need to curse a club havin a severe case of premature ejaculation. You guys are tenants occupying a place previously occupied by the Likes of City,Liverpool and Chelski. Now Jackal thinks we should evict you by week 10. . . but we are graciously offering you a stay till winter. By winter, the real owners of the top place will take over. loyika:Its not everyday some dude tells you he is your daddy .That's some poofy stuff.Like you are waiting for the soap to drop. . . .I'm on alert for any rear guard moves from you!People never learn from Sodom and Gomorrah @Jackal We have played a game more than Liverpool and the Arse.I don't believe Utd will win their next 3 league games. . . hope I'm wrong.Weed doesn't affect my judgement anyway. |
justkunmi:Must be talking about the wrong fella. . . this guy came to me with a bottle of KY jelly and started interfering in my biz. . . . .telling me he is my daddy What's all this about matchday 10? Utd have to win all their next 3 games to top the League on matchday 10,that's not going to happen. My view is that it will happen in the longer term. . . .around the winter period. |
@Temmie10 This kind of stuff is therapeutic you know.It helps people feel more important than they really are. |
Buruntashi:Neccesity may demand that you remain with a people who are probably sickening or sick, whose country is so derailed. However, while you stay there, you are open to charges of hypocrisy. What is it that so compelling that would make one want to remain with a probably sickening people. There are probably some Whites living in Nigeria, who wonder whether Nigerians are sickening. While they have such unflattering thoughts of Nigeria and its people, one is entitled to ask them why they chose to remain with a people and a nation they abhor Seun:That makes it even more ridiculous to make such comments. If the poster is a citizen, she denigrates herself. If she is a migrant, she has to reconsider her stay with these sickening people |
Seun:Whether that justifies raising questions over the mental health of an entire citizenry. . . . . that's entirely different |
ziddy:For someone who managed to embark on an argument while lacking the basic facts-Ahmadinejad's holocaust denials -which was thankfully pointed out to you by Davidylan. You are a man of brazen idiocy. |
Buruntashi:That is an imbecillic question. My guess is that she is a migrant. Now look carefully again at her comment what do you expect from a country so derailed that their president thinks Africa is a country and thinks Mandela is dead - killed by Saddam - how sickening and sick will the citizens be if the leader is that sick in his head?Agreeing to every single policy doesn't arise here.If you think a country is so derailed and you wonder about how sickening and sick(weird repetition) its citizens are. . . . then you as a person of migrant heritage should have to reconsider your stay in this land of possibly "sickening and sick" citizenry. Why stay in such a derailed country when you are a Nigerian and can go back to your homeland? |
ziddy:This typical piece of twaddle would have been relevant if Ahmadinejad had merely asserted that while he does believe that the holocaust did happen,he is opposed to the immoral manipulation of the holocaust to support base causes.Unfortunately that isn't the point he has made. Buruntashi:You seem to be a remarkably clueless individual. You obviously don't know the meaning of the term, fascist.Perhaps, you think it a fashionable term.I think its a term easily brandished by people reeking of unbridled ignorance. |
ziddy:Better still. . . . let's stop bemoaning the lack of respect for human rights in places like Iran since such talk causes all the mayhem and bloodshed in the world.A remarkably fatuous piece of commentary |
ziddy:Your pal,Ahmadinejad described it as a myth. That is a denial of one of the most horrible human tragedies.
@I-Man You simply lack a sense of academic reasoning. So I have no-word with you.
There is nothing faintly academic or resembling "reasoning" in your posts .It is applaudable that you decided to spare us your ignorance. Buruntashi:More importantly. . . .you are entitled to be a hypocrite, but I'm entitled to point out hypocrisy.Migrating to the US and residing there,a nation so derailed,is a typical example of the hypocrisy exhibited by Nigeria's never ending army of visa seeking US bashers. |
RichyBlacK:You just quoted an Ahmadinejad's statement describing the holocaust as a myth.Again you engage in a tour de force of irrelevance. That others died too in WW 2 isn't the essence of his comments. His description as a myth, that there was a pogrom targetted against the Jews, is what has brought upon him so much scorn. He never claimed that though the holocaust happened,it was not only Jews that suffered a genocidal campaign. His point is that the holocaust was a myth,it never happened. This is the bone of cotention. As for the number, 6 million, making the holocaust unique,I fail to see your point. For one thing Ahmadinejad is not merely disputing numbers.Does 4 million Jewish dead make the holocaust a myth? What about 1 million Jewish dead? This is not an argument about the finer details of the holocaust but about whether the holocaust was a myth or reality. |
folem:Repeating something doesn't make it true.We are discussing the position of Speaker and I am totally unaware of democracies where people from any work of life get to be appointed Speaker. It is not a coincidence that almost all of them had stellar academic credentials and excellent careers in intellectually tasking jobs. Giving me the example of Alhaji Masari is bizzare since the whole point of the discussion is that Nigeria has a culture of medicority. |
what do you expect from a country so derailed that their president thinks Africa is a country and thinks Mandela is dead - killed by Saddam - how sickening and sick will the citizens be if the leader is that sick in his head?
Well. . . . . park you bags and come home. Why stay in a country so "derailed"? Maybe you should move to Iran and bask in the wonders of Iranian democracy. . . . which is very much on track. |
