@pilas Are you saying Ghanaian women are Igbos? |
@Afam You are an imbecille.Nobody cares who you take seriously. Why are Africans seemingly interested in foreign affairs uninterested in events on the continent?Their interests solely resides in the Middle-East,strangely they are not Middle-Easterners. It is pertinent to point out that people from the Middle-East are not interested in our affairs. We have more burning issues to contend with on the continent but we prefer to hyperventillate about issues and people that don't affect or care about us. |
Chiori:Maybe in your world. . . .but not in mine. |
hajifaty:The usual impassioned rants of the religiously misguided. |

US Marines were in Liberia and there are some US troops in Djibouti. And Darfur and Liberia became an American problem since the USA bought a brand new talking drum and have made it their business to be taking other people's issues on their head.So all the deaths in Darfur no dey pain you? You are against the US complaining about Darfur. |
There are reports he is headed for the Portuguese national team-http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2173339,00.html Having left Chelsea prematurely, Jose Mourinho appears to have fast-forwarded his career plan and, according to reports in his homeland, will soon return to take charge of the Portuguese national team. According to Sky Sports News, a "family source" has revealed that the Portuguese FA has already been in touch with Mourinho and a provisional agreement is believed to have been reached. The latest betting odds on him taking charge of his country have already been slashed from 14-1 to 3-1 this morning. |
@Denex Its a stressful job being Speaker. She needs the best equipment to enable her carry out her function |
If Mourinho was sacked. . .that means he is £15 million richer now. . . .and we are here laughing at him ![]() |
No need for this again: My favourite "Mourinho is a self-servicer" picture
|
juintade:They actually say that even if it was a sack |
@Jackal Do you remember some bloke called Mustay who used to copy and paste Chelski stories on our threads?Haven't seen him lately. . .I wonder why ![]() |
Hidink won 6 League titles,Jose won 4 League titles Hiddink won the European Cup,Jose won that and also won the Eufa Cup. I think in Jose's short space of time, his record is far more impressive compared to Hiddink who has been a manager since 1987 |
The main reason Chelsea were underperforming was because Roman was undermining Jose by imposing players and insisting on how the team should play. Jose had to abandon his favoured 4-3-3 formation in favour of a 4-4-2 formation just to please Roman. It left them more vulnerable at the back and didn't help much with their attacking prowess. The whole episode is a reflection of the dangers of having a billionaire run a football club like his plaything. This sort of thing couldn't happen at Arsenal and probably Utd.Chelsea's fortunes are tied to the temparement of Abramovich. If he wakes up tommorow and decides his girlfriend should be the GK,he will find a way to implement that |
Jackal:I heard they are going for Godwin Uwua!!! ![]() |
akinalabi:There are very few I can think of . . . . .Ottmar Hitzfeld,Fabio Capello. .who else.I believe only Sir Alex was a better manager than Jose |
Did I say CHELSEA wree favourites for the title?.United are now top favourites for the title! I guess Arsenal and Liverpool can be considered contenders but its likely the title will stay at OT.Whatever Chelski decide. . .I think their title challenge will be remarkably impeded by this development. I would love for Jose to head to Spurs just for this season ![]() |
There were reports last season that Rijkaard and even Guus Hidink were contacted on the possibility of taking over at Chelski. It seemed that the only reason Jose was still manager was due to Chelsea's failure to convince those 2 join the Blues. I believe this is the beginning of the end for Chelsea.Chelsea will never find a manager as good as Jose |
@Jackal What do you think?Jose for Spurs!!!Heard that on 5Live ![]() |
José Mourinho dramatically left Chelsea with immediate effect yesterday after a final bust-up with Roman Abramovich. The manager is understood to have contacted five senior players in the afternoon to tell them that he was leaving, without offering any detailed explanation for his sudden departure. Mourinho is believed to have phoned Frank Lampard before sending text messages to several other players, telling them only that he had had enough and would not see them again. The exact circumstances behind his departure are already being disputed — the Portuguese will insist that he has been dismissed, but Chelsea are adamant that he has resigned. Whatever the truth, the news appears to have taken many of Chelsea’s senior executives by surprise. Peter Kenyon, the chief executive, Bruce Buck, the chairman, and Abramovich’s key aide, Eugene Tenenbaum, were called to an emergency meeting at Stamford Bridge last night to discuss the crisis. The majority of Chelsea’s staff and players had been enjoying a relaxing evening at a cinema at Fulham Broadway watching a screening of Blue Revolution, a new documentary about the Abramovich years, but were called away to deal with revolutionary events of their own. Abramovich, the billionaire owner, had cancelled a business trip earlier in the day to hold talks with Tenenbaum, although they were initially thought to be about the poor attendance for Tuesday’s Champions League draw with Rosenborg rather than the manager’s future. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/chelsea/article2493403.ece |
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/20/nmou120.xml Jose Mourinho last night told his senior players that he was resigning as manager of Chelsea after a final fall-out with the club's billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich. Jose Mourinho sent text messages to his top players wishing them 'good luck in the rest of your career' Mourinho sent text messages to John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba wishing each of them "good luck in the rest of your career" and saying that he was leaving the club this morning. He has been frustrated for some time with the tense situation at Chelsea, and particularly the perceived interference of Abramovich in team affairs. Mourinho was unhappy with the £30 million arrival of Andrei Shevchenko, a striker much admired by Abramovich. The self-styled "Special One" rarely praised Shevchenko and pointedly ignored the Ukrainian when he scored in Chelsea's embarrassing 1-1 Champions League draw with Norwegian side Rosenborg on Tuesday night. advertisement Following Chelsea's lame display in a competition Abramovich has his heart set on winning, Mourinho was yesterday summoned to a crisis meeting. After that, Mourinho decided to resign, his frustration at Chelsea's ludicrous internal politics boiling over. Chelsea now head to the Premiership champions, Manchester United, on Sunday without their charismatic coach. At the heart of yesterday's final fall-out between Mourinho and Abramovich is the owner's desire for more attractive football, the type of free-flowing attacking game that Chelsea have failed to manage consistently under Mourinho. While the Portuguese manager was winning back-to-back League titles, an uneasy peace lingered - but when results began to slip, Abramovich's displeasure became obvious. The Russian walked out early from Chelsea's 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa earlier this season, and he will not have enjoyed Tuesday's poor result and performance. Mourinho, 44, will go down as Chelsea's most successful manager, and the fans will lament the charismatic coach's departure. He was voted Premiership Manager of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and he will not be short of job offers. Chelsea's board must now quickly call a meeting with Terry, Lampard, Drogba. |
He was not sacked! He resigned due to interferences from R.Abrahmovich |
Its already on Wikipedia!!! ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/José_Mourinho On September 19th, Mourinho quit his job as Chelsea manager for poor performances |
somze:Its on SkySportsNews right now!!!!! |
somze:You should concentrate on actually winning games instead of knocking teams that do win |
How can anyone be knocking 4 consecutive victories ? The great thing is our ability to keep a clean sheet.Very soon the attacking side of our game will improve |
In a world where people are killed because of their religious affiliations, someone is complaining about something so trivial. Its like a person complaining about how stressfull it is to be a multi-millionaire.Thank God nobody threatens your life because of religion. . . . .many people around the world are going through far worse things. |
JustGood:Do people from the Middle East empathise with you over Darfur(150,000 dead) or South Sudan(I million dead)?Do they empathise when Libya attacked Chad on 2 occassions over the Aozou strip annexing Chadian territory? Do you think if you went to an Arab internet forum, they will be mourning the deaths in Darfur? |
nateevs:Chelsea have conceded more goals because they no longer play with 2 defensive-midfielders in front of the back four. The demise of Makelele is particularly telling |
toshmann:Im worse pass wetin your girl dey talk for bed? Did you see your dirty Scousers behaving like thugs in Portugal?Pennant nearly killed that fella. |
Razorr:You can't compare home game to Rosenborg with away game to S.Lisbon.Its not excuses. . .its common sense ![]() |
charlione:They were still in the Champions League,FA Cup and Carling Cup by December. They won't be booted out of all Cups by this December but I believe by that winter period, their title hopes would start fading |
