What you are saying has no impact on Afam,he has the personality to be an Idi Amin if he ever had the opportunity to be a President.

Just reminding you who the Champions are. grin Your previous performances has a bearing on your present performances, that is where the 4th place comes in.Are you one of those who believe you will go from 4th place to 1st place in one season? grin

I don't care how our team wins,as long its winning. Its always important not to peak too early.
PoliticsRe: A Sweet Wind Of Change Is Blowing In Nigeria! by Iman3(m): 7:56pm On Sep 29, 2007
Sweet wind of change is blowing in Kano

There was panic in Tudun Wada Local Government area of Kano State yesterday as youths unleashed terror on Christians living in the area. The action was as a result of speculations that a Christian teacher in the area drew a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad and displayed it in his sleeping room in the area.
The protesting youths caused serious pandemonium. Ten shops belonging to Igbo traders in the area were set on fire.
The cartoonist was said to have relocated to the house of the district head for safety, before the intervention of the police. The police are now on red alert in the town to prevent escalation of the crisis.
THISDAY gathered that an emergency security meeting was yesterday quickly arranged by the joint security team in the state to ensure that the crisis did not escalate to other parts of the state.
The police spokesman in Kano, Baba Mohammed declined to speak to THISDAY.
In 2004, Kano became a battle ground as Muslim youths attacked non-indigenes that mostly live in Sabon-Gari area.

@Debo

Replays showed Ljunberg was onside when he scored, bet you didn't see that.Stop whinging about refs, was it refs that condemned you to 4th place last season despite being awarded the most penalties?

We had a clear penalty denied us for the foul on Scholes.Had that been the Gunners, the penalty would have been awarded.Anyway,5 consecutive league victories is no small feat for a team that is supposedly playing badly.

Are Pompey beating Reading 7-3  for real ? That is one strange game,if Benjani was a Gunner,he would have been hailed as the new "Eusebio".

Are you preparing your "exile" from MatchDay 10?  grin

Ade epitomises the cliche;form is temporary, class is permanent.A brief run of good form doesn't cover up for mediocrity. The cliche aptly applies to the Gunners this season  grin

Afam thinks OBJ is one of the best things that happened to Nigeria,so its not surprising he finds nothing wrong with Ahmadinejad.

He is a dysfunctional person with a perveted mindset. This is a man who wished death on fellow Nairalanders on 2 seperate occasions.

@Afam

What is the point of this thread. Are you so benighted that you can't articulate a position of your own?  grin

Afam:
May be because they didn't see Egypt and Jordan as enemies and more importantly they were not being killed and maimed by these countries.
Well. . . .its obvious you haven't learnt about history.Jordan in particular, has been responsible for tens of thousands of Palestinian deaths since time immermorial.Actually, over the past 3 decades, more Palestinians have died in the hands of Arab Govts than in the hands of Israel.

Unfortunately though, many have taken sides already on this issue based on race and religion so it is almost impossible to see debate based on reason and in an objective manner too.
People have also taken sides because of their anti-Western bias leading them to focus on issues with which they can lampoon the West, especially the US.

How many of us will stand by and clap for people that take our lands and turn us into refugees in our own lands, kill our parents, brothers, sisters etc, jail our brothers?
Such simplistic analysis should be left for simpletons. Many Israeli Jews are refugees from Arab land.It was not Israel that first sought a military solution,it was the Arabs.

The last time I checked the people of Palestine were not the ones responsible for what Hitler did so why should they be paying the price of what someone or countries did to the Jews?
Again. . .your knowledge of history is appalling.Learn about the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem-Mohammad Amin al-Husayni.Many Palestinians worked assiduously with Hitler.

getting their land back.
They are not the only people who purpotedly have their land stolen.Don't Tibetans, enslaved Africans in Mauritania and Nubian tribesmen in Sudan want their land back too?All the Africans who have been disenfranchised should also get multi-million dollar aid packages while their issues remain unresolved.

Given that this thread relates to race,Bush's perceived failings in Iraq don't fill me with grief. For one thing,I'm neither Iraqi or American. As an African,I'm more interested in Bush's policies in Africa which on balance are better than those of previous adminstrations.

If we were in Arab forum, the users will not declare Bush a failure because of his policies in Africa, they think of themselves first.Look around this forum, every thread about foreign affairs is about the Middle-East and not one single one of us from the Middle-East.

NINETOFIVE:
There is a complete reflection of those good policy decisions in the pols, I still maintain that ignorance is bliss.
Reagan had fantastic polling stats. How does that reflect on his attitude towards racism?

You should not be asking questions, you should be furnishing us with all the right things Bush has done, the bliss in in ignorance is insurmountable. Bush is the continuation of American history; first, the extermination of the the Amerindians, then the enslavement of Africans, we all know who's next, can't people just do nothing?
What is this incoherent twaddle you are spewing? If you are one of those who think that the tens of thousands of policy decisions Bush has made are all wrong, then you are incurably blinded by prejudice.

Palestinians are being de-humanised?It wouldn't be the same people who receive $1billion per annum in foreign aid, more than 10 times per capita what Africans in war zones receive from the international community.

Let us assume that here are some people who think most other humans are bad, that all the world governments are corrupt and hopeless, and that the world system is doomed to failure (this assumption is not far fetched). Are these people hypocrites for residing on planet Earth, instead of some other better planet? Granted there options outside this planet is limited, should they take themselves out via suicide?
In your preposterous analogy, the person in question has no other option.

RichyBlacK:
Please. The fact that you criticize the government of X, and reside in X, does not make you a hypocrite. There is more to living than government policies.
It wasn't a mere criticism of Government policies but a demonisation of an entire citizenry

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all of the time. I remember you caught me off-guard when you swapped 4play for I-man. I have since become an expert in the syndrome that plague you and the gang that are politically joined at the hip with you. Anyway let me leave you to ponder how I was able to decode it. Shalom!
You seem to be a man of brazen idiocy. Here is a man who was a few months ago proudly refering me to Neo-Nazis as his source of information.

A program about how white stereotyping leads to racism is refered to as proof of Bill O'Reilly's racism.Isn't that imbecillitty in its purest manifestation?None of the critics have actually listened to the program. Not even Al Sharpton found the program racist.

Of course if you take a persons quote out of context, you can lead to any conclusions you want. The duty of intelligent people is to find out how the whole issue arose and look beyond soundbites from partisan organisations like Media Matters.

It's funny signing an economic agreement with a country that has little economic growth.During the Sani Abacha era,we signed such an agreement with them and I didn't notice any growing economic ties between the two of us since then.

Iran imports fuel and suffers regular fuel scarcity just like Nigeria. . . . birds of the same feather

Anybody hyperventillating over United vs Coventry, should watch York City vs United(95/96 League Cup) with the likes of Scholes,Butt and Gary Neville playing like pregnant women.Scholes was running like he was pulling a truck.A bad game of football is always disappointing, but it doesn't really tell us much.

I remember games were the likes of Jonathan Greening,Luc Chadwick and Danny Higinbotham who were oustanding in one particular game(I believe it was against Spurs in the 00/01 season) where are they now?Even if Utd played excellently last night,it still won't tell us much either way for its only a single game.

The main drawback is the Cup offers an opportunity for many of those lads to have a go at competitive matches. But then, there are relatively few games to be played anyway.

Who remembers Bojan Djordjic who chipped the Celtic keeper from the half way line? The boy ended up at Plymouth Argyle
