Is Obama necessarily the best black politician? You are trying to convey the impression that Obama is running against the odds. Here is a man who is raising money by the bucket loads. He has gotten endorsements from many Democrats who are household names-from Kerry to Leahy.

As for your anecdotal evidence of media bias in favor of Clinton-here is a more blatant admission of media bias:'It's hard to stay objective covering this guy', "

Presumably, you at least watched United's UCL games last season.Man Utd v AS Roma(7-1),where was Rooney playing? Centre-forward or left flank?
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama For President? by Iman3(m): 5:35pm On Jan 21, 2008
We can go into infinite permutations about what factors would have benefited or handicapped each politician to no avail. The reality is that being half-black has generally helped Obama, so far.

Being part of the establishment can be a burden. It is no guarantee of success and can only take you so far.Being an African-American and riding a wave of goodwill, allied with fawning coverage by the media,is also a major plus.

You know why Obama's "blackness" helps? Because he is not running as the Black candidate, unlike Jesse Jackson,Keyes or Sharpton. He has barely touched on issues of racial inequality. If Clinton was Black and he ran the same campaign as Obama,he will be a shoo-in for victory.Bill was the most consummate politician of his generation.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama For President? by Iman3(m): 5:20pm On Jan 21, 2008
@Dayokanu

Mudslinging is not the exclusive preserve of the Clinton campaign. Obama won't be where he is today if he didn't mount a successful campaign about the sexual impropriety of his Democratic challenger when they were running for the Senatorial primaries.

Have you seen the amount of mud thrown at Clinton? Imagine,Bill said that Obama's fictional stories about his Iraq stance were the biggest fairytale he had ever heard and they accused Bill of racism.Have you seen media attacks on Clinton's femininity.I have seen more anti-Clinton bile over the past 12 months than anti-Obama.

PS:The best thing Obama said in this campaign was that the Republican party was the party of ideas grin grin A rare candid admission of an obvious fact from the Democrats.

McKren:
Clinton may have won popular vote in Nevada

But Obama won the election in practice.
Because he won more constituencies across Nevada, he got 13 delegates against Clinton's 12. At this stage the election is about how many delegates you win. Cos thats what will determine who will win in November.
Ok,you don change am to who won the highest number of delegates.

If Obama was the son of an ex-President and had the democratic establishment backing him, and then Hilary was a nobody coming from no where, she will not stand Obama.
Reason: She got no talents and their is nothing special about her other than being wife of former President.
Yeah,do you think Obama will be doing this well if he wasn't African-American? In politics,it is usually the trivial things that propel you to success. If Obama was a white man, there wouldn't this amount of hoopla over his candidacy.

Alan Smith made 9 appearances, Larson made 9 appearances, If Solskjaer and Smith had 49 appearances that means Solskjaer had 40 appearances.
Alan Smith had 18 appearances,Ole had 31 appearances last season.Larsson had 9 appearances and Saha had at least 32.That is over 90 appearances(never mind 80) between those 4.If you think Smith had only 9 appearances all season(same as Larsson),then you need help.

I know what you will say now, that you were refering to only league appearances, which begs the question, why you said Larsson had 9 appearances when you are only talking of 1 competition?(9 doesn't even include FA Cup)

If Saha managed 24 appearances in the League alone(never mind others),why give the impression that no other striker was available for most of the season to allow Rooney play on the flanks?

Alan Smith made 9 appearance last season plus substitute appearances which were many, Henrik Larsson made 9 appearances for Man Utd last season,

Saha was injured a lot last season that must have meant since Rooney played to the left last season according to Hi-man, Van Der Saar must be the lone striker.

I won't call you a fool, I don't need to because everybody already knows.
I don't know whether you are paid to be stupid.Rooney alternated positions between playing on the flanks and playing as a striker. To take one example-against Chelski at Old Trafford-Rooney started the 1st half alongside Saha but played the 2nd half on the left. Against Watford in the FA Cup,Rooney started and finished on the left.

You are ignorant and you can barely comprehend and follow a debate. The reality is that you probably watched few of United's games. You don't even know that Soljskaer and Smith managed 49 appearances between them.Add that up with Saha and Larsson, and you are looking at over 80 appearances.

Do you know that Ole played many games on the flanks?Actually,Soljkaer had been virtually converted to a winger since 2003,after the flying boot incident with Beckham. If you don't actually watch the full 90 mins, instead of running to Wikipedia every time, you won't know what you are talking about.

I don't know when rational thinking became a luxury most peeps can't afford. If you play 35 games and I play 3 games you expect us to score the same number of goals?

A strikers job is to score RVNistelrooy is a striker i respect but he's not the prettiest in terms of the way he score he can score with his anus as long as the ball enters the net. Do you think style used in scoring is considered when awarding highest goal scorer? High Man
That is why you are an idiot. If Ruud is converted into a winger,he will score far less than as a striker.A striker is only a striker in so far as he is playing in a striker's position. It is not about how you play, but where you play.

Francesco Totti used to be a midfielder, when he was converted to a striker,he started scoring goals by the bucket loads. When Rooney started at Everton,he was playing on the right-wing.At United,Fergie often alternates him between playing on the flanks and playing as a striker.

If you start playing a person out of position, then a straight-forward comparison of goals ratio is virtually impossible. Klose shares none of Rooney's versatility. There is barely any basis of comparison.

An ignoramus like you would simply rush to google and start comparing stats as a substitute to actually watching football. Why not compare Martin Laursen's record to that of Riberry and Schweinsteiger combined.

Ronaldo Lima is the greatest striker he shone at both league and world cup. See Gerd Muller too, also Rivaldo, Vieri, and other striker
So Trezeguet,Raul,Crespo and Henry are not great strikers, compared to Klose? The irony in all this is that when Ronaldo was at his peak, his goals ratio in the 98 World Cup was relatively poorer compared to when his body started to wear out.

Its very difficult to have a brilliant club season and then shine at the World Cup.Ronaldinho looked better in 2002 compared to 2006.

Mediocrities like Klose who spend most of their time with mighty Werder Bremen can afford to shine at the World Cup(against Saudi Arabia,Cameroon and Costa Rica) when players like Henry,Van Nistelerooy and Raul have tired out playing in some of the most competitive leagues and tourneys and for the biggest clubs. In the World Cup,it is more likely for a Roger Milla to shine than a Ibrahimovich.

@Iman,

who plays from the middle last season if Rooney plays from the flanks? where does Ronaldo and Giggs play from? Are you talking about Man Utd on Play Station?
You are an unbridled idiot! Rooney played to the left of Saha/Smith/Larsson,while Ronaldo played to the right. They sometimes switched flanks. Giggs,Scholes and Carrick formed a 3 man central midfield. Anyway,I forgot I am debating an idiot who claimed Rooney joined United in 2003!!

Watch football and stop talking out of your arse.Wikipedia connoisseur

In those qualifiers he was a striker against Newcastle he was a striker, Fulham, Derby and Sunderland he was a striker but suddenly becomes a midfielder/winger against Chelsea, Liverpool, AC MIlan, England, Spain, Holland, Germany, Mexico,
You have singlehandedly converted Ronaldo into a striker in order to carry on your stupid argument.Even in your benighted mind,Ronaldo is now a striker,he still compares favourably with Klose's record over the last 2 seasons. What an idiot.Lets also compare Makelele's goals record with Madrid to that of Zidane.

@doyin13

We have had this debate on this forum before. The sanctions have little or nothing to do with Zimbabwe's plight.Zimbabwe was on a free fall for a long time.

The sanctions,to the extent they apply to Zimbabwe's economy,do not prohibit trade or investment with Zimbabwe. They apply mainly to travel and the private assets of Zimbabwean officials.

The whole sanctions excuse is a total red herring

Moreover 31 games 13 goals and 35 games 14 goals just a little reasoning would tell you Rooney has a lower scoring ratio. Don't you know they play more games in EPL than in Germany?

This season Miro Klose 15 games 9 goals and Rooney 14 games 6 goals

Miro Klose tops the scorers chart in his league while Wayne Rooney has at least 14 players ahead of him including Darren Bent, Robbie Keane, Dave Kitson and other 30% footballers
Ok,you don change your argument.Remember when you told me that only the amount of goals matter, when you were counting the goals Luca Toni scored in Serie B? Now you are saying we should look at games-goals ratio, idiot.

Don't simply look at the stats, watch the football as well.Quagliarella used to have a poor goals ratio this season,a friend of mine said that shows he wasn't all he was cranked up to be.Far from that!If you actually watch Udinese you will see the reason he had a poor goals ratio,he was playing on the flanks. When Marino moved him back to a central position, his goals ratio improved.

Same applies to Rooney, rushing to Wikipedia won't tell you that Rooney has played a lot of games for United on the flanks. How many times has Klose played as a winger? If you don't watch Barca, you won't know that Henry has been moved back to the flanks.Google is no substitute for actually watching football.

This is not Rocket science!!

Klose has played 15 league games with 9 goals. while Rooney has 14 games and 6 goals. You don't need Runge Kutta or Euler Cauchy numerical analysis to know that Klose has a better record.

As per last season , How many times do I have to tell you that Klose played 31 games 13 goals to Rooney's 35 league games 14 goals.

Is it not worrisome that Man Utd top striker is tied with Aston Villa central Defender in number of goals scored? shocked shocked shocked World class striker Indeed!!!!

huhhuhhuh? Explain please
Lets not forget that Martin Laursen has scored more goals in the League than Riberry and Schweinsteiger combined. But this is where Dayokanu is wrong. Anybody who watches United regularly will know, especially last season, that Rooney often played on the flanks in a 4-3-3 formation.

Dayokanu doesn't know that, all he is good at is Googling for the stats without analysing what the stats mean.Google is no substitute for actually watching football

How do you explain highest goal scorer at last world cup, How do you explain 5 goals per world cup.

He has shown that he is a striker for the biggest stage (world cup). Not some strikers who pummel opposition in qualifiers and freeze at the world cup.

e.g C.Ronaldo scored 7 goals in qualifiers and as many as 1 goal at the world cup proper.
Using the same logic you used with Ronaldo, remember Klose scored his goals against "mighty" teams like Saudi Arabia,Ecuador and Costa Rica.

Nobody genuinely thinks Oleg Salenko is a great striker even though he performed well in USA 94.Some of the greatest strikers the world have ever seen struggled at the World Cup while some mediocre strikers shone-Roger Millah and Salenko.Alternatively, look at Trezeguet,Raul and to a lesser extent,Del Piero.

To compare a midfielder's goals record to that of a striker is the height of stupidity.

There wouldn't be much fuss over fossil fuel if renewable energy offered higher long term returns. Energy companies wouldn't need Govt prompting to invest in renewable energy.America,Australia,Canada,Russia,e.t c would have simply sign ed the Kyoto Treaty without much ado.

The reality is,that both in the short term and in the long term, renewable energy is still financially uncompetitive.Never mind the oil price boom, coal has seen a resurgence-China builds 2 coal power stations every week

Now,if renewable energy offered such "wonderful" returns, why bother with coal? Why do you think China is gobbling up oil and gas from African suppliers?

Coal and gas still offer better returns, both in the long and short terms, and we have these in abundance. Lets steer clear of the renewable energy myths.

After the accounting gimmicks by Arsenal to spice up their annual report, reality will soon set in.

Its amazing that despite the self-serving parsimony displayed by Wenger, even Chelski are rapidly catching up with them
