Nairaland General › Re: 9 Things Only Those Who Don't Stay Out Late Can Relate To. by IMASTEX: 7:22am On Mar 26, 2018
LordKO:
The misconception by many - mentally parochial people - that staying out late at night automatically equals to irresponsibleness always amuse me. Such a parochial opinion can only holds true if and only the person involved in it is unprincipled in particular and bad in general. This myopic thought process is akin to the erroneous notion by this same class of people that anyone who usually goes to work at night automatically does a security/menial job - there's nothing wrong with those doing security/menial jobs anyway.
I second your line of thought. "What you don't like or understand you demonized" has always been a norm in Nigeria.

In truth, while you're whiling and sleeping away your time at such nights, some responsible people are using theirs to negotiate and close business deals with likeminded fellows, while some others in the responsible category are using theirs to equip and upgrade themselves in other ways. I don't hold brief for small-minded people.

More so, the country or neighbourhood in a country where one lives will also determine one's lifestyle. If you've been to many different countries then you'll agree with me that 1 AM in most countries is just like 6 PM in Nigeria in respect to liveliness and bubbling.

There are more important things to think of.
Ops is even idle to notice those that don't remember her birthday. I have lots of clients to supply goods, have so many people to render services to, many businesses to explore & attend to. I personally don't remember my own Birthday least alone expecting certain persons to remember.

A physician is paid $260,924 (94Million Naira a year)

My friend who works as an I.T Engineer who was earning about 200K in Naija before he travelled to Canada Just 3 years ago earns about 84,000 CAD(that's about 24 Million a year) excluding bonuses oooo

Do not let ANYBODY fool you that the grass is not always green at the other side, the only shortcoming you will have is if you are not with your legal papers to work or live abroad.

We have been so beclouded by poverty and hardship that we see basic amenities as luxury, just like you buying a "tokunbo car" and you feel you have "arrived" or you buying a brand new iphone or some peeps will boast of having AC in their houses.. smh.

You see peeps forming tuush because they are shopping at the Mall (ShopRite etc) meanwhile that's like an average market everyone goes to here.

If you have the opportunity to leave this country, I use GOD beg you... Waka Far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If na because of Chioma, no worry dem plenty for here, fresh creamy chicks

And one mumu dey ask say wetin you go miss leaving Nigeria..... SMH
You said it all. Poverty have so blinded so many persons that they feel they are okay at their present poverty level.

Teacher1776:
in the case of my friend, they stole his phone. Before he could retrieve the line, the hoodlums have activated online banking and used it to transfer the cash in the account to their private accounts.
The local police didn't cooperate much. Even delays from the banks gave the rogue the room to escape.
Well, it is so sad. Storing your transaction password in a device that can get missing or even accessed by close friends without even passwording the phone is where the ignorance played out. Get a memorable event date about yourself, nation, etc as password that way it can't be forgotten.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: When Does Your Grade No Longer Matter To Employers? by IMASTEX: 7:30am On Mar 06, 2018
Well, the emphasis has always been on skills than degree class. If i would employ someone in my business. I would only check & ask "what can you do to increase my income. Not what have you graduated with"
Crime › Re: Yahoo Boys Clear Out Nigerian Man Mum's Life Savings by IMASTEX: 10:34pm On Mar 05, 2018
People fall prey due to ignorance or greed. Why will someone give out classified information on ones bank account to a second party even on phone. Or wanting to get big reward for what you didn't invest in?
Though, it isn't an excuse for the fraudster.

That they didn't borrow a smaller car or they aren't married? What matters is getting to your destination. No one decides what makes one happy. It is a matter of choice.

Rather, he’d support all the recycled old polithiefians...

He has nothing to offer the same masses on whose pennies and nickels he rose to greatness...
He is a businessman, his interest is: "every government that comes to power should favour him not the general country." It is the masses that should rather speak in one voice to determine what they want not someone who is already getting what he wants.
