TV/MoviesSome Great Movies That Are Not Widely Circulated by IME1(op): 8:20pm On Aug 18, 2013
I just watched a movie titled Time Changer and I was awe-struck! it is a beautiful, down to earth, clear-messaged, reviving movie. How I wish more people watch movies that inspire, motivate and encourage. A movie like this reminds me of others of its kind
1. Fireproof
2. Courageous
3. Unconditional
4. Pilgrim's Progress
5. The Vow
and the Love series- love finds a home, love takes wings, love comes softly, etc.
I wish some of these movies in fact all of these movies become 'viral' I mean circulate more widely- download, shown on big screens, cinemas, street shows, given as gifts or bought. however how they can be got out. I am so happy I have such movies to use in the film shows we organize from time to time and place to place.
My fellow NL kindly post more great titles of those movies that have left permanent impacts in your heart and life.

I agree that those who have lost it (not rape or other involuntary means) outside marriage should move on, don't sorrow, despair it self is a sin, ask God for mercy and pardon, go and sin no more
for those who have not lost it they should be encouraged to keep themselves (male and female) until they are married- it encourages discipline, fidelity, purity (the pure in heart shall see God), confidence, fear of God, obedience to God's commands (keep ur bed undefiled) etc
for those who don't send virginity issue cos in their opinion its overrated and sabotaged by those who have lost it outside of s.ex.ual inter.course, they should knw that God looks at the heart\intention not the deed.
if u offer to God a sacrifice that is nt frm ur heart, it is a waste of time and effort.
to those of u na wey stil b virgins common keep it up til u are married there are many who wished they were like u, don't b deceived, u'r keepin ya self unto God nt man (or woman) virginity no b crime, no b shame.

PoliticsRe: A Niger-Delta Village In The 1960s (before Oil) by IME1: 8:22pm On Jul 14, 2013
na wa, we leave topic come dey analyze whether picture na true or painting or coloured?!
for me the bottom line is that there was a country
there a Niger-Delta that had Hawaii-like or Caribbean-like water front and environment before oil pollution spoilt it.
the people living around the Niger Delta then had 'coloured' eyes i mean eyes which could identify 'colour' so?
if it was drawn it was done from what someone saw real life.
or
if it was taken with a camera- fuji, kodak, canon whatever, it showed that Niger Delta looked clean, healthy and serene before oil exploration started which has caused water, land and air pollution in the whole region.
sad, i smh for all who caused this to happen. i pray to God to restore balance and grant development to this region, whether the government or leaders do it or not, like it or not, in Jesus name amen.

HealthRe: Have You Ever Donated Or Received Blood? by IME1: 5:02pm On Jul 10, 2013
I think it is a good thing to do for humanity.
i have received and i have donated to the glory of God

DID YOU KNOw?
There is the National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS) and it is located in all zonal regions in Nigeria and some states.
Giving blood that does no harm to the recipient is a noble thing to do.

Those who need blood include: Accident victims, Women at child delivery (stand by in cases of complications), Anaemic, Cancer, Surgery, Sickle cell, and others. These people need you and me.

Although not everyone can donate blood, most people can. Those who can donate include: Those Aged 18 years – 65 years, if you weigh above 50kg and your Haemoglobin level is of at least 12g/dl.

Do not worry about all these technicalities, when you get to the place where you can donate, they would brief you. But this is how it is done: a Medical check is done, then your Blood is collected and finally you are refreshed.

When you are through giving your blood, take plenty water for 12 hours, you must avoid climbing high buildings, avoid strenuous activity for 6 hours, and others.

Are you still not interested? Let us tell you why you should do it: you will be responsible for saving a life and it helps you- yes you reduce the workload on your heart, kidney and liver!

You are encouraged to visit any of the following centers and donate blood for free, because you or your loved ones may need it urgently one day!

andyanders: I feel for your ignorance for making such a statement. He delivers people and give out gifts and you pity the people that receives his gifts? Pity yourself for your ignorance and not the people. Because you are spiritually blind, hence your statement.

I pray God to open your spirit mind in order for you to be able to know who this great man is.
i pray for the day that we start 'fighting' or speaking for the truth and NOT fighting for our religious leaders. Jesus told Pater to sheath his sword. cry so what kind of message would you be passing on when 2 supposed Christians are fighting over their respective religious leaders as against fighting their common enemy- the devil. a divided faith house cannot stand. but since Christ is one, His church stands.
PS: these religious leaders are also on their race of life, if like be fighting for them instead of focusing on your own salvation. sad

Blov: speak evil of no man, so He said!!
there is a difference between what u think is evil about what people say and what is truth or fact or hearsay grin

pls if this should be quoted generally, no one would or should speak evil of Charly boy, Jonathan, his wife, Nigerian artistes who didnt donate to OJB, Tonto Dikeh etc.
but if this phrase is solely against speaking 'evil' against 'religious' personalities then 'He' would not have called them, 'brooding vipers' Amos would not have spoken to the prophets in his time (read the book of Amos), Paul would not have talked about ... everyone he talked about, G. Craig Lewis would not have talked about the truth of hip hop...
and the nairaland post about 'what u comment on the internet can land u in jail' would not have been challenged by some commentators of that thread that said, 'those it mean there is no freedom of speech; where is the democracy...' etc.
NB:
this comment of mine is focused on the quoted phrase not on the Person featured on this thread. thank you.

Water entered the car up to the seat, I had no option than to sit like an executive on the flooded seat grin
Thank God it was a German machine, was able to wade through the water without any damage to the car.
bros u lucky, na so those days volks wagon beetle and golf dey drive pass many pretty cars wey tomline dey sink. grin

pls oh Uwasota road is a federal road oh. I think d drainage problem don over d state government.

I can't defend Oshiomole, but yes I whole heartedly agree that he has done good stuffs in Benin. want to believe that if he had more funds he would do more. nt necessarily bleedin pple and companies in the name of tax or revenue sha. maybe fed govt allocation is nt enuf. when wld Nigerians who have mega cash (especially cash to spare and nt use in buying N15m cars or owanbe) start to help do roads like Ojemai did in Ekenhuan area or Deustman (don't tink I got dis spellin rite) did in 19th st some time ago (even putting street lite!!!) people I mean indivuals get money for this Nigeria even Benin gongon ni angry

the chairmen of the LGA can help repair the link roads to this Benin-Lagos road, that is Mela, Uwagboe, Edaiken, Technical, Federal Girls, Uwasota, etc I think clearin of drainages on these roads and some other roads are also LGA responsibilities and I dare say the responsibility of residents and landlord or Edionwares of those areas. really this is nt a 1 man's job.
all d governor wld suffer is ridicule and low ratings bt @ d end it is those living there or passing tru there that would suffer it. so who helps who.
Lord help me nt 2 wait for someone to help me if and when I can help myself, amen.

Service and humility,
where there’s no security,
treat us with levity,
disgracing humanity.
Many want it scrapped,
but lets not over react,
when they passed the Act,
it wasn’t meant to be like that.
The intendments have gone wrong,
the motives no longer strong,
we’ve taken it for too long,
let us sing a new song.

Oshiomole said during his wife's burial (God rest her soul) that he rode a bike from his village with her on it to her village to meet with her people. imagine if bikes were not permitted. angry
excuse me but most kidnap cases were done with flashy 'cars' not bikes. huh
Banning private bikes whether we like it or not would not include power bike owners who belong to the elite. tongue
also people like Esama that move with escort bikes would or may not be stopped. wink
courier companies like UPS would not be stopped. undecided
private bike riders like some security men and messengers in Uniben, State Secretariat and Central Hospital must now look for funds to buy cars. sad
even in developed countries private people are allowed to use bikes. embarassed
physically challenged people now must take drop whether they can afford it or not because if they take bus, they would be dropped at their street junctions and made to walk home. sad
Ekiti, Ogun and other ACN first term governors would also be nursing the plan to ban bikes after their re-elections. smiley
some people say these riders should move on, step up, learn trade, I mean excuse you angry some of these bike riders are educated, they started the job cos of no viable alternatives, some are very professional and disciplined (helmet, papers, license and all). what trade? learn how to carry sewing machine, become brick layers, work in some greedy private schools and earn peanuts? I tell you danfo driver, BRT drivers, Dangote truck drivers, etc did not learn any trade to be drivers, so why can't bike riders be so regarded like these drivers? angry angry angry
finally, for now anywayz, you may think fighting government is a lost battle, but you would be shocked that thses people will win this case. I wish them well.

I am so glad this thread came up. op took it out of my intentions!!!
#1 God saved me from a bus accident on my way to Akure for a wedding. Although my chin was stitched, I am alive and well today.
#2 God saved me from a BRT accident last December. The BRT bus pressed me on the railings of the BRT busstop while I was trying to climb the curb to join the queue. My hands and thigh were bruised and my hand muscles were greatly affected but God healed me totally. God is Jehovah raphe.
#3 God saved me from a bike accident in Ibadan. a fully loaded wheel-barrow hit us from the side and we went tumbling down. My newly purchased picture frame for my mum was broken and I had slight bruises. God saved me. it may seem funny but it was real danger. the same incident happened to me in Sokoto, then my knee was severely bruised. God saved me again and again.
#4 God blessed me with the Utility vehicle I'd so desired for years and years now. God used a very special person in my life to buy the vehicle in my name with everything needed.
#5 God blessed me with a wonderful job that pays very well. This God added to my other endeavors and investments.
#6 God kept me from despair, vengeance and bitterness after my sister was shot dead by unknown men in Onitsha. God told me that, 'Vengeance is mine, I will recompense to every man according to his deed.' I leave everything to God.
#7 God blessed me by giving me a baby nephew after loosing my 2 little nieces within 2 years. God is the God of comfort and consolation.
#8 God blessed me with a new sister-in-law after the wonderful and successful marriage of my dear brother.
#9 God blessed me with health, wealth, peace and a sense of direction, even when I thought the world was moving on without me. God gave me a word, 'Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding...'
#10 God is working in my family, friends and associates in bringing His salvation, peace and reconciliation to us all. after facing all sorts of evil challenges and 'dysfunctionality' among loved ones, God helps me even second of every day and I know He is working for my good, for He told me, 'I have a plan for your future, to give you an expected end.'
thank God
thank you Jesus

Happy Father's Day Papa 'Me'
You have and will always be a great father
you always try to show strength even in your humanity
you always try to show weakness even in your possibility
the way I remember you and celebrate you is personal to me
no matter what others say otherwise
I see you through my own eyes not others
I love you in my own way not like the general public
you have been my friend since I can remember my beginning
we have had our very bad times and very very good times
we have shared laughs and tears
we have gladly taken pictures and we had pictures
we disagree on many things but we like many things
we understand each other when we speak and there is a listening ear
I sincerely wish I could do something great for you
but you remind me that I am great for you already
what I am today is all with your help
no other person has been there the way you have, no not one
I cannot end this without thanking my mother
for a wise man once sang that 'it was his mother that showed him his father'
so mummy without you agreeing to him, marrying him, giving birth to me and
showing me my father, I would not be here eulogizing hm.
thank you mum and dad, God bless you both together forever

vislabraye: The ban on Okada in PHs has lots of benefits. I don't know about Benin.
In Ph, my inlaw was attacked by some assassins while he was driving. They shot at him from dia car, but he narrowly escaped.
Had it been it was Okada, they would not miss him. Banning of Okada would reduce crime to a large extent, but there are other aspects to it.
unfortunately I share in a similar experience but it sadly ended in death. however the bike used was not a commercial type it was like those wanna be power bikes, those used by private bike owners. bikes ve both advantages and disadvantages. I tilt to the advanatages. kidnappin in south south is usaually done wt d aid of vehicles- luxury vehicles for that matter. the ones that help avoid suspicion and disturbance by security agents.
RomanceRe: Virginity March 2013 In Ibadan (Pictures) by IME1: 1:56pm On Jun 12, 2013
i am so happy about this concept. I wish more cities and places would also carry out this 'sensitization and encouraging' rallies and marches. it is lovely. smiley
the issue of virginity is not just about not having se.x until marriage but is about discipline and self control. a guy or gal that can wait for marriage before inter.course can wait for many other things of value and life changing things. check it out, if u can wait for at least 3 to 4 years to get a degree from the university, then u must wait until marriage to 'know' ya spouse. also if u can wait for your labour and hardwork to pay off, then u can avoid get-rich-scams and criminal vices, by engaging in legitimate work. patience teaches you discipline which helps curb many other vices other than forni.cation or promiscuity like scam, kidnapping, or other FAR'gate scandals or pension or pen scandals. grin
so u see its not just about inter.course, but about waiting for what is valuable, long lasting and a test of true love and long term commitment.
like if u consider yourself what the wait and you consider your sweetheart what the wait! cool
