FoodRe: 10 Reasons You Should Stop Eating Too much Instant Noodles (must See) by IME1: 5:20pm On Feb 23, 2015
in as much as many may not belong to indomie generation, many have evolved into it. up till now indomie is not a meal in my family house. nut on my own, i see it as fast and light food. but recently i try as much as possible to add egg or sardine! plus carrot, green beans and cabbage! these are not cheap or easily accessible depending where you are, but your health is your wealth. if we cannot invest in good and healthy meals then why do we work for a 'living'?
have a good work week
PS: SON, NAFDAC and other bodies in charge of food regulations and the national Assembly should do something about this 'imported' food. cancer is not good.
God bless us, amen

BusinessRe: 4 Ways To Identify "SCAMMERS" On Most Online Market Platform Like OLX Nigeria by IME1: 10:18am On Feb 09, 2015
greedy and gullible people easily fall into scam but also desperate, ignorant and yeah honest people too! why? because they feel others are honest like they are; they think for it to be on the internet it is public so can be verified; they want easy and quick services cause they are in a hurry to get their purchase or impatient to follow due process.

Bottom line:
trust your guts
be sensitive to what your spirit is telling you (what we often call 'mind')
and most importantly trust in and pray to God Almighty, He will never leave you nor forsake you, try Him, try Him.

Meanwhile,
Happy new work week
may your days be blessed in Jesus name, amen.
Christianity EtcRe: Does God Choose For Us Our Life Partners? by IME1: 6:45pm On Feb 06, 2015
Do you know this love we are talking about?
Jesus loves me as I am: scared, twisted and often broken.
Jesus' love allows me pull aside the shutters and let in a new day.

i believe God is interested in our marital life. if you say he who finds a wife means it is the man and not God that chooses a life partner, i'd remind you that as many as re led by the Spirit of God and God is Alpha and Omega so He already knows our future and who we re to be with and who we going to be with!

Jokes EtcMothers Know Best- Joke!!! by IME1(op): 6:39pm On Feb 06, 2015
Mom came to visit her son Okonkwo for dinner. He lives with a female roommate Ada. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty Okonkwo's roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Okonkwo and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, Okonkwo volunteered, “I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Ada and I are just roommates."
About a week later, Ada came to Okonkwo saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the small bag of Garri. You don't suppose she took it, do you?” “Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure" said, Okonkwo. So he sat down and wrote:
Dear
Mother,
I'm not saying that you did take the bag of Garri from my house, and I'm not saying that you did not take it either. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner. Do you know what became of the Garri?
Love,
Okonkwo.
Several days later, Okonkwo received an email from his Mother, which read:
My dear
Son,
I'm not saying that you do sleep with Ada, and I'm not saying that you do not sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she had been sleeping on her OWN bed, she would have
found the bag of Garri under her pillow by now. Do you know
where she has been sleeping?
Love,
Mum.

Nairaland GeneralDo You Remember This Poser? by IME1(op): 6:32pm On Feb 06, 2015
Some Students where given this scenario in 2008 wey back in NLS Abuja and promised a gift, many people got it so let us see if you would, but i no promise any gift oh! grin grin grin
Imagine this...
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's
raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see
three people waiting for a bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that
there could only be one passenger in your car?
Think before you continue reading...
This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of
a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and
thus you should save her first;
or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life,
and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.
However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble
coming up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?
He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my Old friend and
let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait
for the bus with the partner of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought
limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."
So what was yours?

why do we believe in do me i do you?
do you know that it leads to a never ending vicious cycle!
where does the circle begin or end?
this party did this so let us do our own, then they will do again, then you will do again... till the election or even after?!
We believe that the best way to improve everyone's world is to help individuals to improve their own lives. As we improve our lives and help others on the way, the world naturally evolves.

PoliticsRe: "Those Accusing Me Of Sponsoring Boko Haram Are Mad" - Jonathan by IME1: 1:22pm On Jan 30, 2015
this quote and the title of this thread are different.

when one uses these " " it means that is exactly how it was said.
but when you are doing reported speech as actual statement you are misleading readers.

That said, i was pondering that if trully the president and\or his party are responsible for Boko Haram, this would have been the ideal time to release the Chibok girls and reduce bombings and killings to score political points (which is inhuman to say the least)
But since none of these is being done, then another "power bloc" is indeed responsible for the Boko Haram.
But in case they are using reverse psychology or deceit to throw people off course then, i concede to my finite humanity and say that only God Who is all knowing knows exactly who is behind, in charge, sponsoring or doing the deeds (evil) of Boko Haram.

God bless Nigeria.

CrimeRe: CHILD THEFT: Housewife Sells Neighbours Child For N250,000 In Delta State by IME1: 3:57pm On Jan 21, 2015
The long process of adoption is not and never a reason to buy a child (there is no legal way) even in adoption a child is not sold but the social welfare and the orphanage work together to place the child in a home to grow lik every other child. humans can never be 'legally' sold.
money is not everytin let me remind u that in even birds of the air do not sow and reap but God takes care of them
but it doesnt mean d birds go out lazying around! no dem dey fly around find their daily bread
for us humans we too re xpected 2 get our daily bread but in an honest way that we can boldly say that it was God that blessed our efforts
can u imagine hw many other women around Nigeria that have succeeded in this baby selling crime?
God will bless your labour with meaningful success and make every of your set dreams to be fulfilled and cause people to favour you in every area of your life still in this new year. just do what wil nt make u grieve the Holy Spirit.

but have you ever watched a movie, listened to a song or read a novel where your name and surname or a middle name was used
worse if it was used inappropriately or for a villain or despicable character like "Despicable Me" cartoon!?!

NYSCDo Corps Members Remember Their PPA And Family Houses After Passing Out? by IME1(op): 4:45pm On Oct 14, 2014
winkmany corps members have benefitted from their PPA (lodges) and various family houses while serving.
when they pass out, whether they now have money or not, do they remember these houses and go back to donate something or greet them or advice them by sharing their past experiences?
it is so good to remember where you are coming from especially in service, because a corps member being a stranger in a land outside of his domain, gets housed and loved by a bunch of strangers who he may not see again and who could have done away with him, but welcomed him to the family.
some of these houses and lodges do not net, door, water, satellite, mattresses, TV or perimeter fences. i believe it would be cool if after going thr d tough situation of d living condition of these houses, we would return and make it better for members coming after us.
you know it was a set or batch that made it what the passing out corps member enjoyed.

EducationRe: Strike: A Wrong Approach To Nigeria's Educational Problems by IME1: 3:33pm On Oct 24, 2013
i agree that strike is and should not always or majorly be the approach by ASUU or SSANU or NASU to vent their grievances.
this is so especially since it doesn't work effectively and ends up having a reverse effect on the integrity of the association and the students.
dialogue I know will not always work
but as for violence, it is totally out of the question.
however, I urge aggrieved people to seek better ways to address issues other than strikes.
when 2 elephants fight its d grace dat sufas!
d striking lecturers wil stil b paid their arrears salaries, so what are they loosing? instaed they'r using the tim 2 rest, write papers, travel, meet wt sum project students and yeah of cos attend ASUU meetings & read newspaper stories abt 'em!
for the government pple involved its no longer a gues wok- their kids re in private or foreign schools or nt old enuf 2 enter tertiary institutions (PS: universities and polytechnics re on strike oh!)
so who is suffering? students! in all ramifications (age wise, stagnation,no zeal 2 study,no money, lures 2 evil and social vices lik prostitution, kidnappin, 'wandering,' armed robbery, etc)
it is my sincere prayer to God Almighty that d strike wil b called off and the things ASUU are fighting (striking) 4 are done immediately nt in 2014 or 2015, in Jesus name, amen, amen, amen.

PoliticsRe: What Is Nigeria Celebrating At 53? by IME1: 10:02am On Oct 01, 2013
to those at home cos of public holiday happy resting, work dey tomorrow
to those on essential duties take charge u'r doing ur nation proud, work well
to those children at home wt d privilege of 'light' knock urself out wt enjoyment\those without 'light' gist wt ur pips till u tire
to those kids who have d leadin to carry themselves to any stadium in the name of 'match past' or carrying flag, continue young patriots
to those who are in some perculiar offices or places that don't observe holidays, enjoy the day still
to those who are self-employed and go to work whether hols dey or not, try rest small na, do half dey, celebrate our heroes past&future (none ok few present)
finally to those unemployed, seeking for jobs, stuck in school cos of strike, waitin 4 mobilization, who neva get Sept salary, whose religion does not permit it, who are not Nigerians or all others, yes I know it's just another day- like everyother day, I sincerely say, 'it is well'
it is well at 53 years any how any how we go find wetin to celebrate Nigeria. wen I reach 53 God willing, me, my community, my family, my generation, and leaders past and younger ones and children wil celebrate me and not be able to count my blessings cos the blessings go many in Jesus name, amen wink cool
PoliticsRe: Did You Pray For Nigeria At 53 Today? by IME1: 9:39am On Oct 01, 2013
yes oh because I believe God can help Nigeria. I don't really know how to pray for Nigeria because the issues and problems and our needs are so so much. if I start the prayer will take forever long but the Holy Spirit taught me this morning that I should pray that Nigeria should glorify God not us necessarily having it like well in major areas like Sweden, Netherlands or the US but that we honour and fear God. humble ourselves under God, everything will work. When things at the center are holding on the surroundings will also hold and vice versa. if we fear and worship God leaders will not loot, followers would shun fraud and strange things like suicide bombers, kidnapping, incest, rituals, poverty and cancers would not plague us.
I pray for Nigeria, in Jesus name, amen.
