Enough of all these tribal hatred here .....if you don't know what to say, simply shut up ....it doesn't cost u a kobo.....

we Nigerians need to understand that the present Fulani herdsmen who has been killing thousands of innocent Nigerians are Islamic terrorists and enemies of Nigerians .

Their simple aim is to subdue , take-over and Islamise Nigeria through their systematic ethnic and religious killings that is being targeted against Christians and Non-fulani tribes.

When there is a killing in Benue state, ......there will be peace in Adamawa's, Taraba, Cross River and other part of Nigerian would feel less concerned.....they seems not to be bordered because there is a relative peace at their own homes......

Take a look at the systematic killings/ Civil War:

Whenever Enugu or Anambra is under attack, .....There would be peace at Akwa ibom, Delta , and Edo. ....and they would all feel less concerned as long as it is not their own family members that were killed .

Whenever there is a killing in Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo.....there would be peace and silence in Ebonyi , Taraba and Nasarawa ....as long as their immediate families were not victims....

These hausa - fulani terrorists keep taking advantage of the division and hatred among the southern- Nigeria Ethnic groups( Igbo, Yoruba, Nigeria Delta, Middle Belt etc) to perpetrate their evil plan .

Enough of all these our cowardice attitude, The Hausa- Fulani's are our common enemy.

At such, Every Nigerian , SE ,SS, SW, MIDDLE BELT as long as you are not a terrorist, should join hands together to fight these blood sucking demons called huasa -Fulani -herdsmen .

Are u not surprised that not even a single Herdsmen has been arrested and convicted so far .....let us wake up .....this is a well planed arrangement by the Northern Hausa -fulani to subdue Nigeria....

May God destroy everyone in support of evil and blood shedding in our dear country Nigeria.

Ladies, if you are a member of this forum and you dont have any source of income, you dont have any job or biz that brings atleast 20k in a month.., Then you dont have any bizness with marriage.

I hate hearing some married women say things like "Aunty, borrow me 500 naira to cook food for my children, I will pay you back when my husband comes back from work".

Money gives you voice in life. it gives you voice among your friends, It gives voice among your family members, it gives you voice in your church, It even gives you voice in your marriage.
This is Excellent ......much wisdom here ....i strongly agree with you .

FINAL REPORT ON PTDF OVERSEAS 2018/2019 SCHOLARSHIP

PTDF has concluded the overseas interview, candidates who were shortlisted in all categories have four chances; France, China, Germany and the UK. Whether you have received email or not from PTDF, u all still have equal chances to be selected.

The first category; France/China/Germany results are ready. But to avoid one candidate winning both categories, the names have not been published yet. All things being equal, winners in all countries will be published probably around June after the UK selection process which is currently being scrutinized.

This year will have the highest ever number of Oversea Scholarship winners thanks to the Strategic Partners who are offering a tuition-free scholarship. Selection is based on the quota system which is the government constitution. Hence, you are competing with the candidate from your states and not the general populace. So don't play the tribal card if u are not selected as tribalism as nothing to do with it. Your slot can only be awarded to your fellow state kinsmen. In addition, more slots of winners are given to Nigeria oil-producing states which is understandable.

For all winners in all categories, you will be required to sign a bond which signifies that you must come back to Nigeria after your studies. But PTDF might allow you to stay for a fixed period for work experience in your field after their approval as before work visa is granted, ur sponsor will be contacted. Overall, u will need to plan well and focus on your study and life after studies. U are also allowed to defer your scholarship within one year hence if working u can apply for ''study leave without pay'' for your job to be secured when u come back. For those who are not working yet, the degree will give u more opportunity for job not only in Nigeria but any where in the world. It will give u more chance of scholarship for the advancement of studies or for migration purpose if you don't get jobs when u come back as jobs are hard to come by.

You might be tempted when u are abroad to do abnormal things to feel among. But remember Nigeria especially your family or friends who are struggling. Better to help Nigerians rather than outsiders.
Also, save money, so u can plan well and be in control in whatever choice when u come back to Nigeria for the advancement of your career. Congrats in advance to the overseas winners which will definitely be among nairalanders here as it is always. For those who wish to study in Nigeria (have applied for admission) or are currently studying in Nigeria, PTDF did not forget you. Local application will be out in June.

Good luck everyone. Bye. Current PTDF scholars are already making Nigeria proud abroad (see attached). Do better than them.

It is crazy that in an interview that shouldnt last for more than 5 mins, you were asked to solve a complex Civil eng calculations without even allowing you to do that. God punish the devil!!!

That interview ought to be within your SOP for Master's and research proposal for PhDs.

Anyway, every state has equal representation, so worry not. God is on the throne.

You're not totally right. During the G/F/C interview, my interviewers at Abuja center weren't northerners but they were harsh on me. In fact I had exatly this kind of your experience. When it seems the other man was bent on rubbishing me, I resorted to fierce argument with him until the Prof intervened. Yesterday in Bauchi, my interviewers were both Muslims but calm and listening. They allowed me prove I deserved the scholarship, at the end they were happy with my performance. So your conclusions are not correct. Some individuals could just be difficult and this is not specific to a particular ethnicity. God bless Nigeria
BRO ....your experience was not a harsh one .........you just said " they allowed you prove u deserved the scholarship" ....and at a time the prof intervened . .....and i am very sure you were not asked any question outside the context of the interview .......

unlike in my own case where i was drilled for over 25 mins with technical questions that requires some rigorous calculations ....and was not even allowed to do the calculation .....i was expected to produce the answer ...( ANY CIVIL ENGINEERING APPLICANT HERE CAN TESTIFY WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO BE GIVEN "ANALYSIS OF AN INDETERMINATE STRUCTURE" ) .....a question that will take more than 1 hr to solve ......they expected me to give them the answers without solving ....WICKED SOULS

MY EXPERIENCE AT UI YESTERDAY ( TUESDAY 15TH) (MSc UK)

MY OWN CASE WAS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS WITHIN THE SAME UI. (UI used 3 panels today)

From my own personal experience , the interview has no standard pathern .....you could be asked anything .......

below are my experience today at UI, IBADAN (Msc) .....

1. after i introduced myself .....immediately they learnt i was from the EAST ( IGBO ORIGIN) , they waited for like 2 mins and started murmoring to each other in Hausa language ....(All of the 5 persons that made up the panel were Hausas).

2. i was not asked a single question from my SOP ....they didnt even open it ....nor cared about it.

3. All the questions i was asked were deep, tough and technical (Civil engineering questions ) my 1st degree course .
( one of them is a Prof of Civil Engineering ) ....NOTE : THIS IS OUTSIDE THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERVIEW....recall that from the invitation letter, we were only told to make a presentation of our Statement of Purpose .......This is very unfair to me .

4. i was asked up to 10 questions ......and my interview lasted up to 25min . ( while others were asked barely 2 questions from their SOP ...with a max interview duration of 4min)

5. I was asked several questions about my projecf work .....and when i explained the title and summary to them......they nullified it ...simply because it was not an oil and gas related project topic .....despite how best i tried to convince them ...that it was just an undergraduate project ..and must not be oil and gas related.

6. i was even given some tough and complex calculations to do (structural analysis of indeterminate structures.....and i was not even allowed to solve , i was told to produce the answer without solving ......which was practically impossible ......i told them the steps to solve it ....they nullified it...insisting i must produce the answer.

7. And one of them kept shouting "you dont even have any publication ".......( i didnt know when it became a compulsory for an undergraduate to have research publications)

8. And two others kept asking "what state are you from ".......

9. And while i was trying to tell them the impact of my proposed course of study in the UK to the Nigeria's Oil and Gas sector......one of them immediately instructed me to leave the room ....with his sqeezed face.

MY CONCLUSION : PTDF is dominated by the Northerners and they are BITTERLY BIASED .....they seems to appear harsh on some persons from a particular part of the country .

Using a WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST to assess everyone would have been fair to all the applicants and not this Biased method of interview where some are barely asked 1 simple and funny question in PANEL (1) and some others in PANEL (2) OR (3) within the same Centre will be bombarded with very rigorous questions that is outside the context of the interview ... this is NOT a reliable and transparent method of selecting the Best. i believe all candidates should be given equal opportunities and assessment.

This is one of the major reason why Nigeria is a failed state..........NEPOTISM AND TRIBALISM .....

The questions were about the SOP.

The relevance of your MSc to the oil and gas industry.

How your Msc would contribute to your career goals.

What you intend to do after your Msc.

Why you want to do the Msc.

They are all essential things the SOP covers, they just want to be sure you wrote it and know what you are doing.

Best wishes.

PoliticsWhat Nigerian Youths Can Learn From Senetor Dino Melaye by Impactever(op): 6:07am On Apr 27, 2018
Dear Nigerian Youth,

Dino Melaye graduated from ABU in 1999 or 2000 which ever one Sowore tells you it's true. Going by his year of graduation , Dino cannot be more than 47 years of age, at most.

If at 47 years a man is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a position hitherto meant for old recycled millitary men, and ex governors, then from my own estimation, that man should be respected.

Irrespective of political affiliation, Dino Melaye has been the most consistent whistle Blower and anti corruption Campaigner in the National Assembly since the advent of Democracy .

In 2010, the 2nd Abuja Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Runway Contract awarded at the sum of N64 billion to Julius Berger was cancelled after Dino Melaye revealed the fraud that characterized the contract.

In the same year, the same Melaye and other members of the House of Reps revealed to Nigerians how the then Speaker, Dimeji Bankole embezzled and misappropriated over $59 million between 2008 and 2009. He was beaten , his clothes torn and almost stripped on the floor of the House in the full glare of cameras. He was later suspended from the House. Some of us still remember what became of Dimeji Bankole. All these while, Dino was a member of the ruling party PDP.

Now as a member of the APC, Senator Dino Melaye has been a better and most vibrant opposition to his own party and the Presidency, more than all the PDP Senators put together. It was through Dino Melaye that Nigerians got to know about the "grasscutters" awarding contracts to themselves and embezzling the money in the Presidency while Buhari is busy writing memos and defending the stench of corruption and the deaths it has brought to the IDP Camps.

In all these , I cannot recall any corruption charge or allegation against Dino Melaye that we know of since he should naturally be a target because of his activism and brand of politics. Don't get me wrong Dino Melaye is not a saint .

My fellow Nigerian Youth, instead for you to take a deep breath and find out how this young man has been able to survive the treacherous murky waters of Nigerian Politics, you join the band wagon of detractors and waste your internet bundle on Dino's Certificates when you have a President who doesn't have the minimum requirement and yet leading the most populous black Nation into peril.

Our Youth aspiring into politics should ask Dino Melaye how he was able to defeat the smartest Senator in the last Senate in the 2015 elections, talking about Senator Smart Adeyemi.

For me, I have since resolved never to be swayed by the partisan affiliation of political Parties but I will rather look at the substance and character of our political gladiators.

Look beyond what they want you to see. They have stolen the future of the Nigerian Youth, now they are going for the future of our Children.

Hate him or like him, Senator Dino Melaye is a bold Nigerian Youth and we all have a lot to learn from him.

I stand with Dino Melaye!

Hello House ,

URGENT RESPONSE IS NEEDED PLS ....

I have applied for the PTDF UK MSc category ,MSc category will be interviewed this time ......from the website, applicants can now chose their preferred Interview centres. Each of the 6 Geo-political zone in Nigeria has one its state as its interview centre.

example : Enugu for south East zone ...and Ibadan for South west zone ....

MY QUESTION :

(1) I am from the South East, and i presently resides in Lagos , will it be wise to select Ibadan( which is closer to me ) OR select Enugu .....my Geo-political Zone ??

(2) Does attending the interview in my Geo-political Zone of ORIGIN has a way of increasing my chances of success ? ....considering the present Ethnicity issue in Nigeria. ....I dont really know how transparent PTDF interview committe can be ......

pls those of you who attended your Germany / France /China interview .....at a Geo-political Zone different from your Origin ....should advise me ....to enable me make an informed decision .....the Application closes today.......,,
