I grew up in a home where boys and girls did their dishes, cooked, swept, did the cleaning of the house irrespective of gender all examples my father himself sets.
seven kids in the home, both mom and dad did everything and every chores to raise each properly, so the fact the husband refuses to fund his daughters education for such is stupid to me, I know it's wrong but punish her with something else not her education.
I can imagine the dirty slap my dad will give you for not washing your plates or help in the kitchen because you saw three girls relaxing when they deserved it lol your brain will remember gender equality for the house.
I hope to raise my kids this way, a woman is not a slave nor a servant, fact is put her in that position to get money for the family and she will do it, so why can't you help when you can, take sometime cook for her, do the dishes, bath the kids, I am a guy I already know alot about raising a kid seeing my dad do same for me and the others.

this is not feminism it's the real truth, a woman is your partner, your second half not some equipment to achieve your aim.

If my kid asks me to do the dishes and I'm disposed to, then why not? What is so wrong with washing dishes? If the child was not there, wouldn't I still do the dishes myself?

I mean, all these years, she clearly hasn't done anything that would warrant him stopping her fees but she asks him to wash his dishes ONE TIME and suddenly, she's a spoilt girl.

And I certainly hope you're not the type of parent that would stop paying your kids fees because they ask you to do the dishes i.e, the kind of parent that's willing to ruin their child's life just to massage their bruised ego.

The funny thing is this article never explicitly said she was rude or said it in a manner that lacked respect. The article only implied from what was said that it must have been rude.

What if she's busy and couldn't do his dishes and asked him to do it himself so dirty dishes wouldn't stay stinking up the kitchen.

Besides, prior to this, she must have been doing his dishes so for her to ask him to do it himself, there has to be a context we aren't getting.

But of course, in their haste to justify their regular bashing of feminism, Nigerian men are already here, because food done done for them.

Poor girl has really suffered. Ordinary washing plate he will stop paying school fees? Such a little thing and he is taking such drastic actions. Was it really that deep? probably thinks she won't be survive without him so feels he can do anyhow he pleases to her over little issues. this is as narrated by my brother.

He is in his late twenties and works at the owerri branch of one of the big FMCGs. He went to Uniport to write his MBA exams and after the exams some guys in black with no uniform, ID card or name tag blocked him with an unregistered corolla. they searched him and his car and found nothing. they said he should follow them to station....he immediately sent SOS on whatsapp with another phone and also shouted for help that he is about to be kidnapped. people gathered and the SARs guy immediately brought out a polythene bag saying he is into drugs....people withdrew and he waa taken to their station. He was there for about 2hrs. they demanded 100k bribe and later came down to 20k. they made him write statement. He was bold enough and kept insisting that he doesnt give or take bribe that people around, his family and his organisation already know his location so he is at peace .

They freed him and beg him not to taken any action against them that they are just looking for what to eat. So please and please shout whenever u are being arrested whether u commited crime or not. at least that way, family will be able to trace you. If he kept quiet am sure he might have been kept till he dropped money.
