I've never fallen into labor on my own.
I either lose mucus plug or see any sign and I request for induction.
Induction is not bad or too painful, you just have to prepare yourself for it.
Have you tried dancing, asin shaking your hips like rotating it, or even jumping not too high thoo. What of badass sex, trekking for long? You can buy Queens pineapple, is costly and is not sweet.
Even if you port, the most important thing is everybody alive. Safe delivery dear. ...m ready to try anything now... I can't stomach pineapple or dates so that's out if it.... And sex is like punishment to me... I only do d deed when am in d mood.. Hubby understand..however .. I will b trying d others starting from tomorrow... Plz mama in the d house help! I have been having menstrual cramps on n off very mild and a Little pressure on my pelvis too.but d problem is since yesterday evening I could barely walk. My waist down d buttocks thighs legs and feet are aching so much that I could barely sleep even while lying down they still hurt. Am 38 weeks gone and d baby is now head down. Could dat b d reason? Or is it impending labour? I complained to my doctor yesterday about d stomach
cramps cos I had diarrhea through out 2 days ago and she sed d stooling might have triggered contractions that it's nothing to worry about since am term so she refused to give me any drugs. But d buttocks thighs legs and feet pain started after I left her office and I have until Tuesday to see her again.so am hoping to see if any of you sabi mamas could help me out with what to do or maybe it's part of last trimester package. |

We are just striving to be.almost 37weeks and d baby keeps flipping around and changing positions from cephalic oblique to transverse.she keeps changing from right hip to left hip but never stay in d middle to engage. i don't know why she doesn't want to be head down .doctor told me to do d final scan on Monday so she can decide whether it will b vagina delivery or cs. Am so scared cos m a ftm. M just praying to God to help me out |

I strived but submit to God's will, for He knows all. When it was just few weeks left to August 25th. I fell to labour and before I could say Jack, the water gushed out on first Sunday. I was rushed to nearby hospital where I gave birth to my Angel but she only survived few minutes. Everything happened suddenly but thank God I'm alive because the delivery was serious as the baby was brought buttocks first. I lost lot of blood but I survived it all though my baby girl is no more.
I don't know how to handle the loss especially when my b..bs full and no baby to feed. Pray for me pls Am so sorry for your loss. God will console you and give you reasons to be happy again |

Exactly mama,from 20 weeks I had swollen feet each time I complain at the hospital, they tell me its part of pregnancy and dismiss me because my BP and protein in my urine was normal,but my mind was not at rest because each I google swollen feet i always see pre-emclampsia,at 36 weeks I was at one one day doing nothing and decided to go and check my BP,protein in urine and scan to know how baby was doing.
My protein level was 3+,bp was already 150/90
And inside my tummy was black we could not see the baby well.I was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed of severe pre-emclampsia,everyone was surprised. Thank God it ended in praise.
Regularly check your BP and protein in urine,you don't have to wait till your antenatal. It will end in praise.

pls is it possible for 1 to b one or two months pregnant and still c her monthly flow? Yes it's possible for some people. My mother-in-law was 4 months pregnant with her last born before she found out. She never knew cos she was seeing her monthly period for that 4 months.its not common but not impossible. |

I'm trying to cope o. But with all these Dh has suggested D and C but my mom is strictly against it. Dh said he can't stand what I'm going thru again. Plz endure... That's d joy of motherhood.i cried everyday too as I was miserable and very weak for 16 weeks then it started to reduce.the only thing I could do was pray and cry. Wasn't easy. You will get over it I promise. You will feel better if not best. Hang in there mama |

Good morning mama's in d house....pls am 23weeks gone and I notice my leg use to swell... Pls what can I do to prevent it We are usually told by the nurses and doctors to raise our feet up a little higher than our body so the water can flow back without restriction.its because of water retention.all you need to do is place pillows under ur bed or raise your bed and if you are sitting make sure you place a stool or anything to raise your legs up. And avoid sitting or standing for long. it happened to me a lot during my first and second trimesters and it worked.However one needs to be vigilant as swollen feet/legs could be a sign of other serious condition like pre-eclampsia.so you need to see your doctor to make sure your blood pressure is not high. |

No matter how much weight you lose, the body has made it in a way that your baby gets its all it needs even if it has to make use of your stored fats.
Continue to eat healthy, a big baby will be big even if you go on a diet, a small baby will be small even if you eat like a glutton.
Genes also play a strong role, big boned people tend to birth big boned (heavy) babies, so if you and your dh aren't exceptionally big, dont expect a too big baby.
Some term babies are born 2.4-2.7kg and they go on to live well.
Eat healthy and live the rest to nature, after all there's only so much you can do as long as the baby is still inside you

Your baby's weight is within limit of the GA you posted, it is indiam03's baby that lost weight with the last scan and a little below median weight for GA.
@indiam03, please stop taking Lipton tea if you still take it, it could be the reason you and baby are losing weight. Yes thank you... I think have stopped already cos I couldn't tolerate it d last time I wanted to take it... Will stop permanently till baby arrives |

I heard fetal weight has a lot of things to do with the weight of the mother. If you are slim, you are likely to have a baby with smaller fetal weight.
I will advise you load up on carbs to increase your weight as this will definitely increase baby weight if you are so sure your baby is underweight.
@house, how do I reduce my baby weight as it was overweight at 31weeks 4 days ( 1.8kg). With the way my tummy is shooting out on daily basis, I am afraid the weight is adding greatly. Mumsie says I shld target and not exceed 3.5kg weight for easy delivery.
I heard of drinking Lipton tea from 36weeks, who has tried this and do you think it will have other effects on the baby?

Well I took lots of Lipton during my first and second trimester. I still take it though but withmilk and sugar. I heard too much caffeine is not good for pregnant women as Lipton contains caffeine but my doctor told me once a day will not do any harm and I should avoid steeping it for long to cut short d caffeine in it.soi take it out few seconds after d steeping.DOCTORS IN THE HOUSE PLS HELP OUR COURSE |

By the way, she is not small for her GA. Mine @ 30 weeks read 1.364kg.

Plz house I need your opinion. My baby weight was 1.91kg as at my 33weeks ultrasound but now at 36 weeks she's 1.8 though d scan read 35 weeks and my weight has also reduced by 2kg. I have to wait till next week Tuesday for my next appointment so I can see my doctor but am kind of worried my baby is too small for her gestational age. Should I b?  |

From my calculations I am 6weeks, abi the pregnancy dey reduce ni? It happens like that all d time.... Last 4 weeks, I was 33 and d scan read 33+5days.last week I was 34 and d scan read 32 weeks and today that an supposed to be 36, d scan read 35 weeks.am only taking my readings from my LMP dat way it's easy for me.dont b confused...
