Education / Study Abroad by infosoftlife: 1:25pm On Jan 14, 2023 |
Searching for schools abroad can be a complex process, but there are a few steps you can take to make it easier: 1) Determine your goals: Before you start your search, think about what you want to achieve. Are you looking for a specific type of program or major? Are you looking to improve your language skills? Are you interested in studying in a specific region of the world? A clear idea of what you're looking for will make your search more focused. 2) Research different countries and cultures: Consider which countries and cultures align with your goals and interests. Look into different countries' education systems, university rankings, and visa requirements. 3) Research schools and programs: Once you have a list of countries and cultures that interest you, start researching specific schools and programs. Look at the curriculum, admissions requirements, and cost of attendance. 4) Check for scholarships and financial aid: Many universities and organizations offer scholarships or financial aid for international students, so check for these opportunities. 5) Contact schools and organizations: Once you've narrowed down your list of schools, reach out to them for more information. You can also reach out to organizations that specialize in helping students find schools abroad. 6) Visit the schools: If possible, visit the schools you're interested in. This will allow you to see the campus, meet with professors and students, and get a sense of the local culture. 7) Make a decision: After you've gathered all the information you need, make a decision about which school is the best fit for you. It's important to note that starting the process early is a good idea, as the application process can take time, and some scholarships have early deadlines. If you are too busy with work to do this yourself, you can send a DM to get started. Postgraduate UK application is free of charge, but T&C applies.

Akpuoru: You have to provide more information. Are you schooling in London or outside? How many months do you have left in your program? You mentioned you are already in the UK. You have to show the money has not been recycled. Best to have more than the balance you used in your application and provide an updated SOA. Add your rent receipts, tuition fees receipt, and any legal patent you have made since your arrival to prove that the money in your account has not been recycled. |

Phakabir06: The lump sum is not a problem, just endeavor to explain it just like you have said on your LOE and reference the attached payslip for the month that shows such a transaction (upfront). I would advise you don't apply immediately and wait a month or two after such a lump deposit just to be extra safe. |

Chi000056: Common, I believe you wrote your SOP yourself, and the reason you gave on your SOP would have been your best response to why you are pursuing a Master's degree now. Also, there is no strong tie between you and your sponsor. What happens if when you travel abroad, he gets married, that means you will be left stranded As a doctor you should be earning well and have good savings, add that to how you intend to fund your studies. You can reapply after your marriage but I would advise you to defer your admission to Fall intake. |

27autumn: Take the mode (the most frequent salary). Attach your payslip. You can explain the discrepancies in your monthly salary to the ECO on your LOE. You can declare the savings only if you are submitting the SOA. Also, if you know, it would raise any query i.e, you can prove the origin of such money accrued. The most important thing is that you need to make sure that you have enough funds to cover your travel to the UK and that you have attachments back home for which you’d definitely come back, be it a job, investment here in Nigeria, or family. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 8:19pm On Jan 02, 2023 |
Oluwaloniglory7: Just add sufficient documentation to back up your claim and tie you back to Nigeria. I can't advise you here because I don't know your full story on your LOE. You need to convince the ECO you won't be seeking asylum/overstay your visa. If you submit just one SOA, ensure the amount you declare as saving should be consistent. You can use that to explain the opening balance. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 8:09pm On Jan 02, 2023 |
Oluwaloniglory7: You have a salary account; a savings account is different and should come from a declared source like your salary account. Some people divide their accounts into expenditures and savings. This savings account is what they use to fund their vacations/emergencies. Don't declare it if you can't provide a statement for it; if you know, the transactions there can't be explained. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 10:37am On Jan 02, 2023 |
ORTS: @Giselle has given you the best advice. @ bolded doesn't matter now if you mentioned it because they already have that information from your first application. You declared an investment without providing a legal document to back it up. That was a lump sum that had a significant impact on your account statement. I guess that's why the ECO stated that you have 9 times the amount of your salary. Next time, carefully analyze your account statement and give a proper breakdown of how the money was accrued. Ensure you have the documents to back up such claims. Your saving account statement doesn't matter at this stage because you have sufficient money to finance the trip but work on your home ties. Don't throw money at the ECO face they don't care about it. The reason why you want to travel in this era of japa wave should be convincing esp. as a virgin passport holder. Provide sufficient documents. |

ORTS: Apply only if your circumstances have changed. If the event you stated for wanting to travel has elapsed, I suggest you take your time so you do not appear desperate. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:41pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
Oluwaloniglory7: There is no manual for @ bolded. You should understand that it all depends on your itinerary. There are many factors to be considered, but I suggest not spending more than half of your account balance. You should be concerned about working on your ties to Nigeria. People have gotten their visas approved using all available sums in their bank account for a trip. Work on your home tie with sufficient evidence. That's the ECO's pressing concern. Happy New Year! P.S: This is just my conviction |
