It takes a week or 2 days, if paid for super-priority to get a decision on your application.
But it might take longer for applicants with a refusal history.

Okay, this thread is for Student (F1) visa, and the date they see on the appointment schedule differs from B1/B2.
So if you keep following this thread you won't be informed when dates are released for B1/B2.

I have been answered.

Please, I have created a profile and has also selected a date for Embassy interview.

However, the date of my expected resumption is in 2nd week of May 2023, while the earliest available date for Embassy interview is on 6th of November 2023.

I was advised by a friend to seek for expedited interview application. Please how do I access the form/link? Do I need to download the form from any of the Embassy site or speak to them to get it?
I wanted to know the next path to take to get an interview date late March or Early April 2023 considering the school's resumption date.

I believe someone has answered you on how to fill in your names. FYI: The last name is your surname.
If you are having issues creating an account on cgifederal, it seems you already have an account to your name. You can mail the embassy support team if the error keeps popping up to help you create one.

I want to apply for a visit visa for my husband and myself to attend his sister 40th birthday in July, my kids have Usa passport.

she will be accommodating us as she has a 7 bedroom home (will this be a problem or should I just book an apartment online) she will also give us an invitation letter.

my husband has cac and tax and all that he is the sponsor but I have an online business it’s not registered but I’ve actively making sales over 4 years, will including my own account statements be an issue as I’ve no cac or tax to back it.

I assume you are concerned about yourself and your husband because your kids have dual citizenship.
The reason for traveling to the UK shouldn't just be about the birthday celebration, ensure you include other places of interest in the itinerary.
Even if you register your business, submitting a statement of account that the transactions are unverifiable will also be an issue.
ADVICE:
Since you are planning the trip for July, you can start immediately to remove the red flags by getting your CAC reg done within 5 business days it should be out, and open a business account. Also, let whoever transfers money into your account put a transaction description. (This helps instead of using only a cover letter to declare a transaction without a title).

Since your husband is the director ensure his business has an active status on CAC CRP.

It depends on how you can take advantage of your highlights and use it to gain an edge in your application. Are you self-sponsored or using a sponsor? The answer to this might work against you because the VO might see it as a financial burden on your sponsor but if you can convince them why you need the Master you are fine.

But work on why you went for your first Master and try to defend its relationship or why you NEED the second Master. Did you use the first Master's to work and what was the outcome is something you have to answer and try to add to your drive for this second Master's degree?!

If you can convince yourself beyond any reasonable doubt, you will be able to scale through your interview.

They might even see it as you have the juice and a bona fide student.

Not just anyone. Much better if it's coming from an official email address and not @gmail e.t.c.
Seek your previous employer or lecturer, or HOD. This is why it is good to foster a good relationship and keep it going even after graduation.
You can also seek your religious leaders if they can help you with one. But an academic recommendation letter is very important. Academic, work, community or religious body, or any NGO you have volunteered in the past.

Try and clear your web browser cache.
Also, save as little information as you progress to avoid logging out and losing all your work progress. You can also go back and include more details.
Also, try not to minimize the browser as you fill out the details.

I already got hindsight of what you are about to do because I saw your comment on the student session. That is the reason I said you should also include PICTURES. They don't joke with child trafficking; given your history and what you have declared previously, you need more evidence (PICTURES).

In your previous application, you are fine if you didn't declare you were married. If not, get proof of the dissolution of your marriage. Also, just as you know, you need to give sufficient time for your application.

If you are traveling with a minor, you need a consent letter, a notarized letter of consent from the child's other parent or legal guardian, permitting for the child to travel with you. This letter should contain the other parent's full name, contact information, signature, and the child's full name and date of birth. If the other parent is deceased, you must provide a death certificate. If the other parent's whereabouts are unknown, you must provide a court order showing that you have sole custody of the child.

A copy of the child's birth certificate should be included.

Also include picture evidence. You both might even snap a picture holding the consent letter together.

I’m a resident of Canada looking to sponsor a 7-10 day trip for myself , mom and dad to go visit the UK for tourism . Expected cost maybe 3-4K pounds for us 3.

Both mom and dad have good travel history with valid Canadian visas but are essentially both retired. This is what I’m thinking doc wise

Myself :
-Identity/Residency Document(Passport data page)
-Letter of sponsorship saying I’ll cover all costs
- itinerary showing what we’ll do
- Letter from my employer
- statement of account (plan to show at least 40K pounds equivalent)
- tax return docs to support employment and income
- pay stub to support employment and income

Parents
- Passport BioPage
- Previous and valid visas
- bank statement ?( they can probably only show around 1M - 1.5M )
- land documents for ties

Anything else that can make this a solid application ?

The embassy did my resheduling, the date for interview is after i ought to resume for class. How do i go about this? given that Interview date has been an issue since 2021, I have had to defer my admission due to no interview date. I have written the embassy in the past and the response is that there is no date. Finally, I got a date a month to resumption but embassy moved this week to a month after, how do i got about this? I want to call the embassy even though it was clearly stated that call agents can't help. is there anyone affected by the rescheduling?

I believe all Lagos appointments were rescheduled.
If you still have the option to reschedule your appointment, keep searching for a closer date.

I understand that much, I’m more interested in how he should answer the questions. Does one response carry more weight? Does him lodging with me and my husband raise a red flag or should he say he’s staying at a hotel? Does he need to complete a new form?

Why do you want him to indicate he is lodging with you? Did he fill on the DS-160 that he has a relation in the US? What information do you want to change in the new form? His going to the embassy is already a red flag. He has to present his case very well to convince the VISA OFFICER not to see him as an immigrant.

These here are rhetorical questions that only you can answer. We promote DIY here, so if things go South, you don't go and point fingers that an "agent said."

REMEMBER, he will be assessed if he can fund the trip. So why do you want him to indicate he is staying with you, assuming you are unrelated?

The company where I work status says inactive and was registered in 1988 ( as seen on the cac website)… a friend is insisting the company gets the status back active else I should not bother with the application.

This is outside your control. Focus on the rest of your documentation and your tie to Nigeria.
People have gotten their visas approved with inactive status.

Good day guys, I got admitted into Lamar university for start date of 17th January, 2023, I then applied for visa and was given an interview date of 8th August, 2023. I tried to reschedule all to no avail. I then deferred my admission to fall session which was granted with a start date of 17th August, 2023. I then got another mail from the embassy that my interview date has been rescheduled to 25th September, 2023. I am confused here. Please what do I do now since the embassy stated that the date for interview can not be changed.

It seems you have maxed out the reschedule option and the only way out to get a closer date is to pay another visa fee.
