@princeu001

Do you mind paying the enrollment fee after the first deposit for CAS?
Post all questions relating to your UK admission here.

All this information is on google.
While looking for a “cheap” university make sure it is accredited so you don’t graduate with a valueless certificate.

They still need guidance to avoid schools requiring enrolment fees, especially if they don't have a fat pocket.

hello good morning all, i have been following the thread and to be honest you guz are doing a fantastic job helping people.

i am a US greencard holder, my spouse and child are USC
from my research, my spouse n child dont need visa to uk, only me do.
tho its easier for me to get a visa since im a PR in us

my reason to visit uk is more like a reunion with my family from naija.
i want to meet them there so we can vacation together.

i have two brothers who just opened up like a family a construction business barely a month and has good inflow in the account.
i also have a younger sibling in university. my mum also doesnt work.

now i want to be their sole sponsor for this trip. i plan to rent an airbnb for us all in the uk thru our 10days entire trip.

i have business here in the us for more than 5 years with bank statement over $150,000 balance with steady inflow,

would it be possible for me to use my business statement to sponsor all of them? what are my chances. do they consider this kinda legit high balance an advantage?

i am a sole proprietor and probably use my business acc for multiple personal use too.

i also plan applying for them online from here, so all they have to do is go do their biometric in lagos .wud this be a problem?

i would really appreciate any response i get. thank you!

@ bolded within a month of registration of the business with CAC and good inflows already coming in is too good to sell to the ECO at this time.
Allow the business to grow and give it sometime.

My trip expenses was reduced to 620 pounds. Yes, I have current shenghen and current yet unused US B1/B2 visa ... I don't think previous visa is what matters most. But the fact that the origin of the fund was well supported with documents (Payslips).

How difficult do you think it is to generate a 1-year payslip?!
@ Bolded helped you. The previous visa you had is the key here.
Some people won't disclose this here on a public forum and a guest will just go ahead to copy exactly the same figures you used cry
In their eyes, you are a bona fide visitor with years of experience grin
The ECO shouldn't even waste time in your application with the facts @ bolded.

Yes I hope to start as an undergrad there but how do I convince the ECO that I’m not just an immigrant? That seems like a very tricky question, but you can surely help out sir….

Apply through the school route. However, with your profile now, it will be difficult for you to convince the ECO to grant you a visitor visa.

I would advise you don't waste the fund and avoid getting a refusal to your profile. The student route is your best option.

Shalom!!!

Hello, I’m applying for a family visa for the first time to meet my mom in the uk. She has been living there for almost 14years now…
I turned 18 in February and I would be happy to be directed on the things I need to do or the documents I have to gather to get my visa application approved… this is my first time please your help or assistance would be greatly appreciated…

Are you a student?
You have a stronger tie to the UK (Mom).
So, how can you convince the ECO that you are not an immigrant and you wouldn't misuse this visa if granted?

She wants to reapply now using only her bank statement. No one is sponsoring her and she has no family member in the UK.

That's why @ TUTU asked you what has changed.
What's her tie to Nigeria now??

Good day everyone, I have been a silent reader and learner here for a while.
My interview was on Tuesday May 2nd and I just gathered myself to share my transcript and it went thus

VO: Good morning

Me: Good morning ma'am

VO: I see you're going for an MBA program....

Me: yes I'm going for my MBA in xyz cus I was given promotion as Head of Operation that'll be leading my team on a new project but I need an Intl degree in project mgt before I could assume my new position

VO: who's going to pay for this

Me: my husband, he's a medical doctor and own a hospital here in Lagos with a staff strength of 28

VO: what do you do

Me: I work at Xyz as a risk analyst (didn't talk further cus she wasn't paying attention)

VO: are you married

Me: yes

VO: children?

Me: 2

VO: alright, thank you for your time unfortunately you're not qualified for this visa this time...

Please 🙏 I need your corrections please and where i can do mock interview cus I intend to reapply next week.
I also need your suggestions if asked why I was rejected last time

Sorry about the denial.

DO YOU HAVE FUNDING?

@bolded you don't think, they are busy taking your response. This an interview, you don't expect them to behave like mtn customer care service by saying "still with you please". I bet you, just say something that piques their interest and watch them look you in between the eyeballs if you will flinch.
You should be able to talk more about your job duties. I believe you were not well prepared for this interview.

She’s my sister. I gave her my statement because her account balance when she applied early this year was a little above 2 million. We thought the money was too small. She included my statement because she stated in the application that I promised to give her £400.

My uncle that they supposed to travel together lives in the US. My uncle promised to pay towards the cost of the trip too.

You just confused the ECO with @ bolded.
If the Uncle is sponsoring the trip, there is no need to include your account statement.
Try as much as possible to keep your application straightforward.
These officers are human beings and not AI. They are trained to treat all applicants as potential immigrants, and it's your job to convince them you are not.
Remember, they have many applications to attend to, and you don't expect them to waste time assuming for you when they are already trained to see things in black and white.

She believes her situation has changed.

She was denied because they claimed they couldn’t establish any relationship between her and our uncle, who wanted to sponsor the trip. She and my uncle’s daughter were supposed to travel to meet with our uncle who was traveling to UK from the US.

Also, I used my bank account to support her last application but she will not need that anymore.

Now she wants to apply by herself and travel alone. She will sponsor the trip 100% herself. Her account balance shows about 3.1 million.

She was denied in 2021 and recently in February 2023.

Are you the uncle? Who is she(applicant) to you?? This will explain @ bolded.

TLS IKEJA and TLS ABUJA which is better in terms of fast decision? Please help me ooo

It depends on the number of applicants in that center. So many external factors out of your control.
Also, how quickly it will take the VISA officers to verify your documents esp. your SOA.
Students normally apply for their VISA 3 months before resumption, so applying in JULY, AUGUST, SEPT. expect a higher influx of applicants at the center.

PS: Just my 1 cent

I will also like to clarify, I have my salary account where funds are being received from my company. However I have most of my savings in another savings account (mmf) how do I handle this. Do I present both statements cos more funds are in the other account and not the salary account.

Thanks

In the savings account you have sufficient funds, I hope you can explain with evidence how you were able to grow the money in the account.

I believe they are asking you to write a personal statement. Talk about your passion for the subject ad hurdles you had to overcome as an undergraduate. Your hobbies, more about your research.
Start mind mapping!
How well you write this can give you access to funding.

oh Baba your 2cent is valid nah.... Lol

Yea the business was just registered February but not new really she has been in this business for long as far as I can remember even as a small boy you get?
Its not emergency really because we have started planning for it since January so I will say is not an emergency you get

Someone applied for a visa similar scenario, but the business already existed before the company registered it officially with CAC the ECO misinterpreted it as a false claim. Mind you; he was just a staff and not the CEO.

I would always advise against using a new registration for travel purposes, especially now that refusal letters fly left and right.

In the same way, it isn't easy getting a grant with a new registration.

Is your mom married? Do you have other siblings in Nigeria?? I haven't followed up on your case if she is a fresh applicant. There are other ties you can work with since I believe I read somewhere you mentioned she is a retiree. Using that CAC as the only tie-back to Nigeria won't fly at this time.

For an applicant that has been previously denied, does he or she really need to change school?

Then you have to defend the reason why you changed schools.
If you can get funding from the new school, that will be a more convincing reason.

Oh thanks brotherly for this prompt response God bless you.

First off she will not be fully sponsored, we are taking care of everything but she will only pay her flight ticket for coming that is what we want to write in the letter what do you think boss?...

Her only ties is her business which we opened the account for, and she is not in a paid employment at all, yea every other child apart from me is in Nigeria and no travel history yet this will be her first, property is in my late dad's name will that suffice?.

Oh for the payslips and bank statements thanks I didt know was thinking 1 month is ok,...

Thanks for your appreciated answers boss......

The business is newly registered, and I wouldn't advise you to proceed with the application now because of the obvious reasons @bolded.
You just registered a business, and barely 2 months, you have 2m, and you wish to travel to the UK with it for a week.
Well, miracles happen, and you may be lucky, but if it is not an emergency, please don't push the application yet.

PS: Just my cheap 2cent

Yep. He seems to have a thriving biz in Naija.. VO would like to be convinced as to why he would love to abandon it in pursuit of a degree in the US?

The US visa is never guaranteed. It is just a 50-50 chance.
These VO's are not AI. They also might be having a bad day.
Why don't they allow recording devices at the embassy?
You can do all the mock and still get denied.
But it pays to be prepared in case you are lucky to meet a good VO who won't presume but judge you based on the outcome of the interview.

If you were there yesterday you would understand the whole scenario. I'm an "expressive" individual. I have mastered the art very well I won't lie to you.
Firstly, this woman was not ready to listen, I was actually forcing myself to spew out the few I could. She was cutting everything. Immediately she asked a question and you are about to answer her, she would cut it instantly. The few things you saw that came out of my mouth, I spoke them forcefully. She wasn't listening to people, she was just issuing out the blue paper after few questions without expecting replies.
Firstly, she didn't ask a question related to how the course would help my career or company but I still wanted to chip it in when I was telling her about my funding, what I do and even why I picked the school yet she did not allow me to talk on it. She stopped me abruptly
Secondly, I already prepared financial statement and I cannot give her if she didn't ask for it, I can only defend it with my mouth and I think I did justice to an extent to that by mouth, by telling her how much I pay myself from each of the companies monthly and the total annual income. It is against their rules to bring out documents if they don't asl for it, that can disqualify one.
Lastly, on the home ties, we didn't get there in the first place. I wanted to use the opportunity of why I chose the school to explain home ties but she didn't allow me.
And I want to tell you that the few words I wad able to speak out, I managed to maneuvered her questions towards them, she didn't bother to ask or even care to listen. She was quick to say, ok or I got it. For example, check the questions you will discovered that when she asked that was that the only school I chose, that was when I started using the opportunity to let her know the reason I chose the school among the three. She didn't ask to that extent but since I have discovered her pattern I wanted to see if I could maneuvered myself to speak out my unique story. But the truth is you can only convince someone that cares to listen to you. At least, she gave more than 7 people before me blue paper, including a man that has travelled to different countries like France, Germany, UK, etc. The man was articulated enough and he has a strong home ties with evidence but what finally came out of the woman mouth was "sorry, you are not qualified for this visa".
And nobody should tell me that I didn't pray o, I prayed, I quoted the bible, I did everything necessary and I also prepared by reading more than one hundred transcripts and listening to Argo, an online organisation founded by over 20 former US visa officers, where they educate people on how to answer visa questions. And I practiced all these in mocks with people and alone.
I believe probably, that's just God's will. Maybe He has another plan for me

Funding is the master key.
