This has been the case for Nurses in Nigeria since last year. But Nigerian trained Nurses still get employed in the UK but not through agents.

it doesn’t change anything. Individuals can continue to apply for jobs as has been the norm, but no active recruiter will come to your country to look for you by reason of been on the list. Those people in healthcare know that this has been the norm for at least 2 or 3 years now. I only speak on things I am sure of. Again it doesn’t change anyone applying for jobs and getting it.

Just have funding, and you have increased your chances. Be able to explain how you were able to get such funding clearly to the VO.
If you have a deficit, be able to explain the annual revenue of your sponsor so the VO knows where your support will be coming from.

Watch the ARGO visa interview on Youtube. You will have an idea of how to guide your response. For example, if you wrote your SOP, you could best explain why you are going for your intended program

No need to be cramming lines, but if you must, best practice on a mirror.

Take your interview as you would a job interview.

May the other external factor you have no control over be in your favor.

The inactive business is now being sorted out, as I need to pay some charges and submit a statement of affairs for those years I didn't submit my annual returns.

Give it a few months, 2, 3 or 4 months? Please be precise as my legal adviser want us to reapply immediately. So I can tell him to hang on a little bit and also get these things corrected before I proceed with the application.

My wife is presently on definite leave to remain ( family life), my daughter is on 5years indefinite leave to remain as she just joined her mother( my ex wife) last year. A letter of invitation, bank statement and pay slips from my wife was also provided.

Income and my outgoing funds were clearly stated in my financial statement and management report. Everything was explained In details.

My brother is in the uk. He graduated last year and has started working and has a 3year working permit. His graduation ceremony has just been fixed and he has gotten letter of invitation from the school for Me and my other brother to attend.
I am a PR in Canada and I already have a uk visa.
My other brother is a post graduate student in Nigeria.

I need advice on sponsorship for my other brother.
1. Should I be his sponsor? I can send his flight and stipend money to his naira account, and give him a letter of sponsorship with my ID, payslips and bank statements.
2. Should my brother in uk be his sponsor ?
3. Should both of us be his sponsor? Maybe me for flights and my brother in uk for accommodation?

Please I need advice on making his visa application airtight!

My other bro in Nigeria is 30, he has one study visa denial from Canada in 2016. Never had s visa or travelled out of Nigeria before. No job, still studying.

Please don't send any money to his account.
Any of you can be his sponsor but show proof of sponsorship; much better if you in Canada decide to be his sponsor.
He should also attach his admission letter since he is a Post Graduate student in Nigeria to act as a tie and attach relevant fees he has paid to the institution to show commitment.
If you have been following this thread, you should have an idea of other documents you need to include.

FOR THE CAC ASPECT
You have to file your annual returns with CAC.
I am accredited to help with this if you are not afraid of agents.

NOW, when your company on CAC CRP is showing inactive, it is interpreted as the company is not actively trading (has filed for bankruptcy/closed/not in existence). This is the same as not having a company. It worked against the PROPRIETOR/DIRECTOR. After some years of noncompliance (filing annual returns with CAC), the company/business will be removed from the CAC directory.
If you were an employee, you would have been able to address this in your cover letter.
You won't be able to carry certain registrations with govt. agencies as a result of this status, such as BPP.

Hello guys, is it possible to have your Visa issued in another country if you apply from Nigeria and you have a reason to leave Nigeria before visa approval. For example, if i apply for visitors visa in Nigeria and i travel to Australia before the visa is approved, is it possible for the visa be issued in Australia post approval?

I believe it is possible since the visa fee is the same. When the time comes just write to UKVI for confirmation.

Do understand his assertion to a point. For the writing sample, your masters thesis would suffice and I used that to gain 3 admissions all with funding. I have also been able to secure a research assistantship to assist a research institute with their research for my PhD but I have no publication.

I believe you both have the same profile and going for the same program.

Just because you were able to have this funding (I don't know the program you applied for) doesn't construe that the competition is the same in all departments.

FYI: A publication has fewer pages than 25,000 dissertations. Imagine a Prof. reading through this of over 100 applicants

Let's encourage people to take the harder way because it pays, and there are agents out there that can help you do this publication by including their names in it.

PSI: I am not saying getting funding without a PUBLICATION is impossible... Making your profile stand out is the GOAL.

Most people posting here are the agents themselves you are talking about (a form of testimonial).
They post this information here about what their agents said, kind of referral stuff, so some offline readers can send them a PM to request the agent's contact.

Last year some people had to defer admission after the Abuja embassy canceled out on them.
But now an agent is telling someone to switch to Abuja with all certainty as if he/she is the US Ambassador to Nigeria.

You must understand the different types of funding and their requirements (GA, TA, RA).

If you want a Research Assistantship to assist Profs with their research works, the majority of them usually request to see a writing sample.

For someone going for Ph.D while, won't he/she have at least a publication?

Some schools in Nigeria even mandates MSc student to have a publication before the final defense of their dissertation.

The visa is not guaranteed, and your present circumstance in Nigeria is a red flag in the eyes of the VO.

Since you want to visit the UK, be intentional about it and, work on your profile, build your finances.

Thank you for ur respond. I just summited the questionnaire I had to answer NO. In the year 2015 I was denied by Germany so I did a new passport.

The year 2018 I applied for US with the new passport, which I was denied same year France refused me visa.

Now I have new passport, bearing new age, that is wat am using to apply for uk student visa.

It's best to keep this information to yourself because this act can rob others.

Some Nigerians don't like the truth. They jump like politicians from one agent to another, making inquiries until they land in the nets of the dubious ones who tell them want they want to hear "It can be done."

P.S: I am not justifying the act of the dubious agents, but I feel instead of people coming online and laying the victim card, they should look in the mirror and ask themselves what made them the victim so they can learn from their lessons, esp the ones that are not ignorant about the process.

I know some are victims because they lack information.

I met a victim who said she wasn't given the account statement the agent used in applying for her student visa in Canada when she requested help with her SOP.
The agent provided the documents; is this not supposed to be a red flag?

Please i need advice on the way forward.
I got admission into University of Houston Victoria November 2022 to resume January 6th 2023.
With all the issues of getting appointment dates, i could not make it in time.
I spoke with the school about the issue and requested to defer my admission to fall 2023 and i was told that an updated I-20 would be sent in February 2023.

I have been calling and emailing them to send the updated I-20 so that i don't miss out on the dates as they are available now, Till this morning no word.

My questions:
1. is it possible to complete my visa application without an I-20?
2.if No, can i complete visa application and make SEVIS payment with the previous I-20 issued in November?

If it's the same school that issued the I-20, the information you need to fill out the DS-160 and book an appointment should be the same.
Don't submit the DS-160 yet but keep the application number handy.
